Abstract

The present invention provides a continuously operating, automatic firing apparatus capable of firing and removing 100% organic matter, primarily amorphous silica, that does not contain the target crystalline silica. [Solution] The present invention provides equipment for the extraction of amorphous silica contained in plants by calcination, which eliminates harmful crystalline silica. The present invention relates to a continuous calcination apparatus that uses a rotary furnace to purify high-purity silica by maintaining a calcination temperature of 650°C, using atmospheric heat dissipation and a heater heating function inside the insulating material, and by sealing and reducing the pressure of the ejector. The problem is solved by setting the side walls of the sealed rotary calcination furnace to 650°C to enable continuous calcination, and by reducing the pressure inside the furnace, supplying the amount of oxygen necessary for calcining organic matter, and re-combusting the exhaust gas by an ejector that cleans and reduces the pressure.

Claims

1. In a calcination furnace for extracting amorphous silica contained in plants, the calcination apparatus is a sealed rotary furnace with a wall temperature of 650°C ± 25°C under reduced pressure below atmospheric pressure, characterized by the input of calcined material from one direction and the discharge of the calcined product from a lower hole in the other fixed wall through inclined movement by rotation.

2. A sealed rotary furnace, similar to the rotary firing furnace described above, characterized by a tubular body made of a rotating frame steel material with an air-cooling function, an insulating brick inside, and a heating wire inside the brick, connected to an external power supply via a slip ring, and having both air cooling by rotation and heating by the heating wire.

3. A firing apparatus for a sealed rotary furnace used for firing, characterized in that a screw conveyor consisting of a separate, non-rotating frame structure extends from a central hole in one of the side walls that rotates integrally, and a chimney with flue function and a material supply hopper are located around its periphery, while the other wall has a non-contact, fixed, insulated door structure, and fired products are discharged from a lower hole.
