Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus (1) for testing an energy storage device (2), and includes a connection device (3) and a test apparatus (4) that can be connected via a charging line (5). The connection device (3) has first and second connection parts (6a, 6b) that make electrical contact with the energy storage device (2). The test apparatus (4) has a test instrument (9) and a safety circuit (10), and the energy storage device (2) can be charged and discharged with a test current via the charging line (5) using the test instrument (9). The test instrument (9) has first and second measurement channels (15, 16). The first measurement channel (15) has measurement lines (15a, 15b), each connected to the charging line (5) at a position on the test instrument side (18a, 18b). The second measurement channel (16) has measurement lines (16a, 16b), each connected to the charging line (5) at a position on the connection device side (19a, 19b). A safety circuit (10) allows the electrical connection between the connecting device (3) and the test equipment (9) to be established / disconnected via the charging line (5). The test equipment (9) has a third measurement channel (17) with first and second measurement lines (17a, 17b), the first measurement line (17a) being connected to the charging line (5) at the location on the connecting device side (19c) and the second measurement line (17b) being connected to the charging line (5) at the location on the test equipment side (18b).
