Abstract
Test cartridges and reader boxes are provided. A test cartridge may have multiple fluid chambers connected by fluid tubing, which are used to perform different parts of the NAA test. The test cartridge has an external interface, e.g., a snap-on feature, for the user and / or the reader box to insert chemical reagents. The reader box has a dispensing structure for dispensing chemical reagents into the test cartridge. Such flexibility allows test cartridges to be manufactured as blanks, with reagents added in situ for testing. In some embodiments, test cartridges can be manufactured with only primers and probes, with other reagents added during testing by either the user and / or the reading box. These cartridges are easier to manufacture, generally less expensive, and significantly more convenient compared to existing NAA testing equipment.
