Hazardous fluid isolation system

Abstract

A hazardous fluid isolation system is provided for handling hazardous fluids, and includes a barrier that separates and partitions a hazardous zone from a non-hazardous zone. The system includes a processing unit for receiving and processing the hazardous fluid. The processing unit is located in a non-hazardous zone, and a hazardous fluid source is fluidically connected to the processing unit by a pipe network. The pipe network includes at least a first pipe that extends partly into the non-hazardous zone and partly into the hazardous zone, the first pipe being provided with a coupler for connecting a first section of the pipe extending from the hazardous zone to a second section of the pipe extending from the processing unit. The first pipe has an inner pipe and an outer pipe surrounding the inner pipe, partitioning a vacuum space and forming a vacuum insulation jacket surrounding the inner pipe.
