Abstract

This application discloses encoding and decoding methods and apparatus applicable to the field of image processing technology. The method comprises: acquiring a bitstream containing encoded data of multiple image frames; decoding the bitstream to acquire motion information of the current frame; acquiring a predicted value of the current frame based on the motion information; decoding the bitstream to acquire first feature information; acquiring the residual and confidence level of the predicted value of the current frame based on the first feature information; and acquiring a reconstructed frame of the current frame based on the predicted value, the residual of the current frame, and the confidence level of the predicted value. This reduces coding errors caused by low accuracy of predictions in the coding process and effectively improves compression performance.
