Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a housing device, and more particularly to a housing device capable of installing fans of various sizes.
Background Art
[0002] Fans are mainly installed in computer cases to achieve ventilation effects and dissipate the heat of computer components. Currently, the sizes of commercially available fans are 120cm×120cm, 140cm×140cm, 160cm×160cm, 180cm×180cm, and 200cm×200cm. Furthermore, even for fans of the same size, the structures may vary depending on the manufacturer. In particular, when the positions of the fan lock holes are different, they cannot be installed in the lock holes of the same housing.
[0003] Here, the lock holes provided in a general housing are fixed in position to fix computer components such as motherboards, power supplies, storage devices, and fans at fixed positions. If the size of the fan used by the user does not match the size of the fan designed for the housing, it is often impossible to install the fan. When the fan is forcibly fixed, generally only one screw can be installed, resulting in unstable fixation of the fan and the possibility of interference with other computer components.
[0004] Furthermore, the internal space of the housing is compact and a plurality of computer components are close to each other. The plurality of computer components need to be sequentially installed. For example, if the motherboard and the CPU cooling device are first installed in the housing, when installing the fan at the top of the housing, it will be interfered by the CPU cooling device. Therefore, the fan at the top of the housing must be installed first, and then other computer components cannot be installed until the assembly of the computer is completed. In addition, when it is necessary to replace the fan at the top of the housing, the fan at the top of the housing cannot be removed or assembled without first removing other computer components.
[0005] Referring to Figure 1, which shows the computer case 11, a static fan panel 12 is installed inside it. The static fan panel 12 cannot move within the computer case 11, and multiple locking holes are provided on the side of the static fan panel 12 for installing fans 13 of various sizes.
[0006] The static fan panel 12 inside the computer case 11 can be provided to accommodate fans 13 of various sizes, and locking holes provided on the side of the static fan panel 12 allow the fans 13 to move up and down. However, the airflow of the fans 13 is blocked by the static fan panel 12, and the fans 13 cannot move left and right. Therefore, conventional computer cases 11 have problems such as the fans 13 not being able to move freely and the airflow being blocked.
[0007] As can be seen from the above explanation, conventional computer enclosure structures have the following problems.
[0008] 1. Impact on heat dissipation efficiency: Conventional computer cases 11 are provided with locking holes that allow for the installation of fans 13 of various sizes. However, when the installation position of the fan 13 is moved, the static fan panel 12 obstructs a portion of the fan 13, and a portion of the airflow output from the fan 13 is blocked by the fan 13. As a result, conventional computer cases 11 have the problem of affecting heat dissipation efficiency.
[0009] 2. The difficulty of matching and securing fans with various specifications or those produced by various manufacturers: Because the structure of fans 13 manufactured by various manufacturers differs, and even fans 13 of the same size may have different locking points, the locking points of the fan 13 and the locking points of the computer case 11 may not align, making it impossible to secure them. Therefore, a common drawback of typical cases is that they are difficult to secure with fans from various manufacturers.
[0010] 3. Installation interference prevents free assembly of computer components: Conventional computer enclosures have a compact internal space, and multiple computer components are placed close together. Therefore, when a user assembles a computer themselves, they must install the components in a specific order to avoid spatial interference problems; otherwise, some components cannot be installed. Furthermore, if some computer components need to be replaced, the components inside the enclosure must be removed and reinstalled in a corresponding manner. Because individual components cannot be freely removed and installed, conventional enclosures have the disadvantage of requiring computer components to be installed in a specific order.
[0011] Therefore, designing a computer case 11 that can accommodate fans 13 of various sizes and allows for free adjustment of the fan positions without affecting airflow is a goal that relevant engineers should address as soon as possible. [Overview of the Initiative]

Furthermore, the plurality of stop blocks 53 can also be installed between the plurality of third support 61 to adjust the distance between the fans 13, and in actual implementation, the stop blocks 53 do not have to be installed on the second support 51, but are not limited to this.
[0037] Referring to Figure 3, in the first embodiment described above, the plurality of second combination structures 52 are locked into the second first circular hole 421 on the left side and the second first circular hole 421 on the right side of the first support 41, respectively, so that the plurality of third support 61 are positioned within a width that can secure a 140cm x 140cm fan 13, and two sets of 140cm x 140cm fans 13 are installed between the two second support 51.
[0038] Referring to Figure 4, in the first embodiment described above, the plurality of second combination structures 52 are locked into the outermost first circular holes 421 on the left and right sides, respectively, so that the plurality of third supports 61 are positioned within a width that can secure a 200cm x 200cm fan 13, and two sets of 200cm x 200cm fans 13 are installed between the two second supports 51.
[0039] In the first embodiment described above, the structure of the two second support members 51 is an elongated guide rail bracket, and the two second support members 51 do not obstruct the airflow of the fan 13 regardless of the size of the installed fan 13, the height position of the fan 13, or the adjustment of its left-right position. Therefore, this invention not only allows for the installation of fans 13 of various sizes, but also provides the user with the beneficial effect of being able to adjust the position of the fan 13 without obstructing the airflow.
[0040] Referring to Figures 5 and 6, which show a second embodiment of the housing device according to the present invention that allows for the installation of fans of various sizes, the above second embodiment is generally the same as the above first embodiment, so the similarities will not be described in further detail, and the differences are as follows. In the above second embodiment, the second assembly structure 52 includes a second circular hole 521 connected to the first assembly structure 42, and a second elongated hole 522 connected to the first assembly structure 42.
[0041] In the second embodiment described above, the first combination structure 42 is provided with more first circular holes 421 in the first support 41, the second circular holes 521 allowing a screw to be locked into one of the first circular holes 421 to fix the position of the second support 51, and the second elongated holes 522 allowing a screw to be locked into another first circular hole 421 to provide more fixing points to the second support 51.
[0042] In Figure 6, the extension direction of the opening of the second elongated hole 522 is transverse, the extension direction of the guide rail bracket of the second support 51 is longitudinal, and the extension direction of the opening of the second elongated hole 522 is perpendicular to the extension direction of the guide rail bracket of the second support 51. When the second assembly structure 52 fixes the second circular hole 521 to one of the first circular holes 421 using screws, the second elongated hole 522 exposes the other first circular hole 421 so that it can be fixed with screws.
[0043] In some embodiments, three second supports 51 are installed on the two first supports 41, with one of the second supports 51 being installed between the other two second supports 51, and two rows of fans 13 can be installed on the three second supports 51, allowing for a total of eight sets of 120cm x 120cm fans 13 to be installed.
[0044] Referring again to Figure 5, the main unit 3 further includes a slide rail structure 32 installed on the main housing structure 31, the slide rail structure 32 being connected to one first support 41, the first support 41 being able to move relative to the main housing structure 31, and in actual implementation, the number of slide rail structures 32 installed in the main housing structure 31 may be two sets, each used to connect the two first support 41, but is not limited to this.
[0045] The slide rail structure 32 is similar to commercially available slide rails and will not be described in further detail here. The main unit 3 further includes a side opening 33 provided on the side of the main housing structure 31, and the slide rail structure 32 can be slid outward from the side opening 33 of the main housing structure 31. When the slide rail structure 32 is slid outward from the side opening 33, the first support unit 4, the second support unit 5, the third support unit 6 and the fan 13 can be pushed out of the main housing structure 31, and the user can easily adjust the position of the second support unit 51 with the first support unit 41, and adjust the position of the third support unit 61 with the second support unit 51, and can also attach and detach the fan 13, etc. After the user has finished attaching the fan 13, the user can push the first support unit 4, the second support unit 5, the third support unit 6 and the fan 13 together into the main housing structure 31 by sliding the slide rail structure 32 into the main housing structure 31 from the side opening 33.
[0046] Referring also to Figure 7, the third support 61 comprises a fan fixing member 611, a bracket fixing member 612 connected to the fan fixing member 611, and a plurality of elastic fixing members 613 installed on the bracket fixing member 612. The structure of the bracket fixing member 612 is generally T-shaped, and each of the plurality of elastic fixing members 613 abuts against the second support 51. The second support 51 comprises a concave long rail 511 connected to the plurality of third support 61s, and the plurality of elastic fixing members 613 are located within the concave long rail 511.
[0047] The concave long rail 511 belongs to the C-shaped rail, the bracket fixing member 612 is installed inside the concave long rail 511, the concave long rail 511 is equipped with a stop member that can stop the bracket fixing member 612, preventing the bracket fixing member 612 from falling off the concave long rail 511, and the plurality of elastic fixing members 613 are elastic anti-slip rubber and are each installed on the side surface of the bracket fixing member 612, and the plurality of elastic fixing members 613 can abut against the inside of the concave long rail 511 and provide an anti-slip effect, thereby preventing the third support 61 from sliding off the second support 51.
[0048] The structure of the fan fixing member 611 is generally L-shaped, and is provided with screw holes so that the fan 13 can be fixed using screws. In some embodiments, the structure of the fan fixing member 611 may generally be T-shaped, and is provided with two screw holes so that two fans 13 can be fixed using two screws.
[0049] Referring to Figure 8, which shows a third embodiment of the housing device according to the present invention that allows for the installation of fans of various sizes, the above third embodiment is generally similar to the above second embodiment, so the similarities will not be explained in further detail, and the differences are as follows. In the above third embodiment, a slide rail structure 32, a first support unit 4, a second support unit 5, a third support unit 6, and at least one fan 13 are installed in the front panel and top panel of the main housing structure 31, respectively. Here, the dotted line in Figure 8 indicates the support frame installed in the front panel of the main housing structure 31.
[0050] In the third embodiment described above, two slide rail structures 32 are installed at intervals on the top panel of the main housing structure 31, and each of the two slide rail structures 32 is connected to a first support 41, and the two first support 41 are located at the top and bottom, respectively, and the second support unit 5 has three second support 51 installed between the two first support 41, and the third support unit 6 has a plurality of third support 61 installed on the three second support 51, and the plurality of third support 61 are used to fix a plurality of fans 13.
[0051] In some embodiments, the plurality of second supports 51 are installed in various ways between the two first supports 41 and used to secure commercially available existing integrated water cooling systems, for example, integrated water cooling systems of specifications such as 120, 240, 360, and 480 can all be directly installed in the enclosure device that can accommodate the various sizes of fans.
[0052] Since the slide rail structure 32 can drive the first support unit 4, the second support unit 5, and the third support unit 6 to slide outward from the side opening 33 of the main enclosure structure 31, fan installation is very convenient, and it does not cause interference with other computer components inside the main enclosure structure 31. Fans can be installed at any time without having to remove the motherboard or internal computer components first. Therefore, this invention has the effect that when installing the fan 13, it is not necessary to remove the internal computer components of the main enclosure structure 31 first.
[0053] Referring to Figures 9 and 10, which show a fourth embodiment of the housing device according to the present invention that allows for the installation of fans of various sizes, the above fourth embodiment is generally similar to the above first embodiment, so the similarities will not be explained in further detail, and the differences are as follows. In the above fourth embodiment, the first support unit 4, the second support unit 5 and the third support unit 6 are installed on the top surface of the main housing structure 31, and there is one second support 51 installed in the two first support 41.
[0054] The main unit 3 further includes a housing assembly structure 34 installed on the left side of the main housing structure 31, the housing assembly structure 34 being fixed within the main housing structure 31 and immovable. In the fourth embodiment described above, the housing assembly structure 34 is a plurality of strip-type openings, but is not limited thereto.
[0055] Each first combination structure 42 is provided with a first elongated hole 422 in the first support 41, and the top and bottom surfaces of the main housing structure 31 are also provided with first elongated holes 422, respectively. In actual implementation, each first combination structure 42 may have multiple first elongated holes 422, or the main housing structure 31 may have only one first elongated hole 422, but is not limited to these.
[0056] The extension direction of the guide rail bracket of the second support 51 is longitudinal, the extension direction of the opening of the first elongated hole 422 is transverse, and the extension direction of the opening of the first elongated hole 422 is perpendicular to the extension direction of the guide rail bracket of the second support 51. The second assembly structure 52 is movably fixed within the first elongated hole 422 and adjusts the transverse position of the second support 51.
[0057] The second support 51 is equipped with an open-type long rail 512, and the extension direction of the guide rail bracket of the second support 51 and the extension direction of the open-type long rail 512 are both in the vertical direction, and the extension direction of the open-type long rail 512 is parallel to the extension direction of the guide rail bracket of the second support 51, and the third support 61 is movably installed on the second support 51.
[0058] The third support 61 comprises a fan fixing member 611, a bracket fixing member 612 connected to the fan fixing member 611, two side stop members 614 installed at intervals on the bracket fixing member 612, and a locking member 615 installed on the bracket fixing member 612, with the locking member 615 and the second support 51 installed between the two side stop members 614.
[0059] In the fourth embodiment described above, the fan fixing member 611 and the bracket fixing member 612 are located on the same plate, the two side stop members 614 are perpendicular to the bracket fixing member 612, the fan fixing member 611 is provided with a locking hole for fixing the fan 13, the locking member 615 is a locking hole on the bracket fixing member 612, the two side stop members 614 clamp the second support 51 and align the locking member 615 with the open-type long rail 512, and the third support 61 can be fixed to the second support 51 by locking the locking member 615 and the open-type long rail 512 together with screws.
[0060] Here, the housing assembly structure 34 installed on the main housing structure 31 works in cooperation with the third support 61 installed on the second support 51 to fix the fan 13 to the top surface of the main housing structure 31, and by adjusting the position of the second assembly structure 52 within the first assembly structure 42, the distance between the housing assembly structure 34 and the third support 61 can be changed, allowing for the installation of fans 13 of various sizes.
[0061] In Figure 9, the position of the housing assembly structure 34 is fixed, so the position of the fan 13 within the main housing structure 31 cannot be adjusted laterally. However, since the open-type long rail 512 of the second support 51 and the housing assembly structure 34 consist of multiple strip-type openings, the user can adjust the vertical position of the fan 13 within the main housing structure 31.
[0062] From the above description, it can be seen that the housing device according to the present invention, which allows for the installation of fans of various sizes, effectively and reliably achieves the following effects.
[0063] 1. Easily adjust the fan position without obstructing airflow: The second assembly structure 52 is movably installed within the first assembly structure 42, allowing the user to install fans 13 of various sizes and easily adjust the position of the fans 13 in a left-to-right or right-to-left movement manner. The second support 51 is an elongated guide rail bracket, and regardless of the adjustment of the position of the fans 13, the second support 51 does not affect the airflow output from the fans 13.
[0064] 2. Mounting position can be finely adjusted according to the fan structure: When the first combination structure 42 uses the first elongated hole 422, or when the second combination structure 52 uses the second elongated hole 522, the second support 51 can be finely adjusted in position by the first support 41, and the third support 61 can also be freely adjusted in position by the second support 51. Therefore, even if the positions of the locking holes of fans 13 of the same size are different, the second support 51 can be adjusted to a position where the fan 13 can be fixed, and the present invention has the advantage of being finely adjustable so that various fans can be fixed.
[0065] 3. Users can easily remove and install the fan: When the slide rail structure 32 is slid outward from the side opening 33, the first support unit 4, the second support unit 5, the third support unit 6 and the fan 13 can be pushed out from the main housing structure 31, allowing the user to easily adjust the position of the fan 13 without being affected by the main housing structure 31. After completing the installation of the fan 13, the user can slide the slide rail structure 32 directly into the main housing structure 31 to complete the installation of the fan 13. After using the slide rail structure 32, neither the installation nor removal of the fan 13 causes interference with other computer components inside the housing, and the fan 13 can be installed at any time without the need to remove other computer components. Therefore, this invention makes it easy for the user to directly remove and install the fan 13 and has the effect of preventing interference with computer components inside the housing.
[0066] In summary, the second assembly structure 52 is movably installed within the first assembly structure 42, allowing for the installation of fans 13 of various sizes and enabling lateral adjustment of the fan's position. The third support 61 is movably installed on the second support 51 to adjust the fan's position vertically. The slide rail structure 32 can push the first support unit 4, the second support unit 5, the third support unit 6, and the fan 13 out of the main housing structure 31, making it easy for the user to install the fan 13. The plurality of elastic fixing members 613 contact the inside of the concave long rail 511 to generate friction and achieve an anti-slip effect. Furthermore, after the locking member 615 is aligned with the open long rail 512, the locking member 615 and the open long rail 512 are fixed together using screws, allowing the third support 61 to fix the position of the fan 13 and support its weight, thus effectively achieving the objectives of this invention.
