[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2013-95302 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] The lap belt is displaced downward as the occupant moves forward during a frontal collision of the vehicle. If a member is disposed below the seat belt, the seat belt may come into contact with the member located below the seat belt.

[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle structure capable of preventing a seat belt that is displaced downward during a vehicle collision from coming into contact with a member below the seat belt. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] A vehicle structure according to one aspect of the present invention includes: An interior member provided on a side of the vehicle; a belt anchor provided on a side of the vehicle and to which an end of a seat belt is fixed; a specific member having a portion disposed on a side of the vehicle and in front of the belt anchor, The interior member has a protruding portion that protrudes toward the interior side of the vehicle so as to guide the seat belt, which is displaced downward upon a collision of the vehicle, toward the interior side of the specific member. Effect of the Invention

[0007] The above vehicle structure is capable of preventing the seat belt, which is displaced downward during a vehicle collision, from contacting a specific member located below the seat belt, by having an overhanging portion of the interior member. Thus, the above vehicle structure is capable of suppressing damage to the specific member that would otherwise be caused by the contact. The above vehicle structure is capable of guiding the seat belt, which is displaced during a vehicle collision, toward the interior side of the specific member by the overhanging portion, so that the seat belt moves closer to the occupant. Therefore, the above vehicle structure increases the restraining force of the seat belt on the occupant. Thus, the above vehicle structure is highly effective at protecting the occupant. [0009] An embodiment of the vehicle structure of the present invention will be described below with reference to Figs. 1 and 2. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the right front seat, not shown, as seen from the left rear of the vehicle. The seat belt 50 shown by the two-dot chain line in Figs. 1 and 2 is the seat belt 50a in normal use before the collision of the vehicle. The normal use refers to a state in which the seat belt 50a is normally used, that is, a state in which an occupant seated in the front seat, not shown, is restrained by the seat belt 50a. The occupant is not shown. The seat belt 50 shown by the solid line in Figs. 1 and 2 is the seat belt 50b in the frontal collision of the vehicle. The seat belt 50b in the frontal collision of the vehicle is in a state after the seat belt 50a in normal use is displaced downward due to the frontal collision of the vehicle. The same symbols in the figures indicate the same objects. In the figures, "UP" indicates the upper side of the vehicle on which the vehicle structure 1 of this embodiment is provided, "LWR" indicates the lower side, "FR" indicates the front side, "RR" indicates the rear side, "RH" indicates the right side, and "LH" indicates the left side. In the following description, "upper," "lower," "front," "rear," "right," and "left" correspond to "above," "below," "forward," "rearward," "right," and "left," respectively, of the vehicle.

[0010] <<Embodiment>> [Vehicle structure] The vehicle structure 1 of the embodiment includes an interior member provided on the side of the vehicle, a belt anchor 30 to which an end of a seat belt 50 is fixed, and a specific member having a portion disposed on the side of the vehicle and in front of the belt anchor 30. One of the features of the vehicle structure 1 of the embodiment is that the interior member has a specific protruding portion 21. As will be described in detail later, the vehicle structure 1 of the present embodiment will be described by taking as an example a case in which the interior member is a B-pillar trim 20 and the specific member is an exhaust heat duct 42.

[0011] The vehicle structure 1 of this embodiment will be described taking as an example a case where a battery 40, which is a driving force generating source, is provided in a vehicle arranged on a floor panel 61. The vehicle is a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), or a battery electric vehicle (BEV). The battery 40 shown in FIG. 1 is arranged under the right front seat (not shown). Although not shown, a battery is also arranged under the left front seat. The battery 40 is arranged under a floor carpet (not shown). That is, the battery 40 is covered by the floor carpet.

[0012] The battery 40 includes a battery body (not shown), a cover 41, and a fan and a heat exhaust duct 42 (not shown). The battery body stores electric power. The cover 41 protects the battery body from the outside. The cover 41 in the example shown in FIG. 1 covers the upper part of the battery body and is fixed to a cross member 63. This fixation fixes the battery body onto a floor panel 61. The fan cools the battery body. The heat exhaust duct 42 circulates the wind that has passed through the battery body. A first end of the heat exhaust duct 42 is connected to the right side surface of the battery body. A second end of the heat exhaust duct 42 is connected to a through hole provided in the floor panel 61 at the rear of the cross member 63. That is, the above-mentioned wind passes through the heat exhaust duct 42 and is exhausted to the outside of the vehicle from the through hole of the floor panel 61. The middle of the heat exhaust duct 42 straddles the upper part of the cross member 63 from the front to the rear.

[0013] The cross member 63 extends in the vehicle width direction below the front seat. The lower part of the cross member 63 is fixed to the floor panel 61. The right end of the cross member 63 is fixed to the right rocker 65 near the connection point between the B pillar and the rocker 65, which is covered and hidden by the B pillar trim 20. Although not shown, the left end of the cross member 63 is fixed to the left rocker near the connection point between the B pillar and the rocker. The B pillar forms the rear edge of the opening of the front side door and the front edge of the opening of the rear side door. The front seat is fixed to a mounting bracket 64. Specifically, as shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 2, the seat rail 62 of the front seat is fixed to the upper surface of the mounting bracket 64. The bolts that fix the seat rail 62 to the mounting bracket 64 are not shown. The mounting bracket 64 is fixed to the cross member 63. The rocker 65 forms the lower edge of the opening of the side door. The rocker 65 is an elongated member that extends along the front and rear of the vehicle. The rocker 65 is fixed to a side edge of the floor panel 61.

[0014] [Specific material] The specific member is a member having a portion provided on the side of the vehicle and in front of a belt anchor 30 described later. The specific member is located below the seat belts 50a, 50 in normal operation. The specific member in this embodiment is the heat exhaust duct 42 of the battery 40 described above. In FIG. 1, the heat exhaust duct 42 on the right side of the vehicle is shown. Although not shown and not described, a specific member similar to the specific member shown on the right side is provided on the left side of the vehicle.

[0015] [Belt anchor] The belt anchor 30 is fixed to an end of the seat belt 50. The seat belt 50 of this embodiment constitutes a known continuous three-point seat belt. The seat belt 50 is a lap belt that crosses the abdomen of an occupant seated in a front seat. The belt anchor 30 is a lap belt anchor that fixes an end of the lap belt. In this embodiment, the belt anchor 30 is fixed rearward of the cross member 63 in the rocker 65. Unlike this embodiment, the belt anchor 30 may be fixed rearward of the cross member 63 in the floor panel 61. Although not shown and not described, a belt anchor and a seat belt similar to the belt anchor 30 and the seat belt 50 shown on the right side are also provided on the left side of the vehicle.

[0016] [Interior materials] The interior member is provided on the side of the vehicle. The interior member in this embodiment is a B-pillar trim 20. The B-pillar trim 20 is a member that covers the interior side of the B-pillar. The B-pillar trim 20 is a resin molded body. The B-pillar trim 20 has a protruding portion 21. As shown in FIG. 2, which will be described in detail later, the protruding portion 21 protrudes toward the interior side of the vehicle so as to guide the seat belts 50b, 50 displaced downward during a frontal collision toward the interior side of the vehicle of the exhaust heat duct 42. The protruding portion 21 in this embodiment is provided integrally with the B-pillar trim 20 at the lower part of the B-pillar trim 20. That is, the protruding portion 21 is a resin molded body that is integral with the B-pillar trim 20.

[0017] When the lower part of the B-pillar trim 20 is viewed from the side, that is, when the lower part is viewed from the inside of the vehicle toward the outside of the vehicle, the overhanging part 21 is preferably provided over a range that generally overlaps the heat exhaust duct 42, the path along which the seat belts 50a, 50 extend in normal operation, and the path along which the seat belts 50b, 50 extend in a frontal collision. The closer the seat belts 50b, 50 are to the belt anchors 30 in a frontal collision, the more likely they are to come into contact with the heat exhaust duct 42. Therefore, if the overhanging part 21 is provided downwardly as the closer the seat belts 50a, 50 are to the belt anchors 30 in normal operation, contact between the seat belts 50b, 50 and the heat exhaust duct 42 in a frontal collision that has been displaced downward can be prevented.

[0018] The overhanging portion 21 of this embodiment is provided continuously from the rear of the cross member 63 to the front of the cross member 63. The overhanging portion 21 covers the exhaust heat duct 42 from above the exhaust heat duct 42 to the side of the vehicle interior. The overhanging portion 21 is provided so as to be disposed between the seat belts 50b, 50 and the exhaust heat duct 42 during a frontal collision. Openings are provided in front and below the overhanging portion 21 for introducing the exhaust heat duct 42 into the overhanging portion 21. The exhaust heat duct 42 extends toward the floor panel 61 from an opening at the rear of the cross member 63 among the openings at the bottom of the overhanging portion 21. In this embodiment, the protruding length of the overhanging portion 21 toward the vehicle interior is uniform over the front and rear. Since the seat belts 50a, 50 in normal times extend closer to the vehicle interior as they move forward from the belt anchor 30, the protruding length of the overhanging portion 21 toward the vehicle interior may be larger from the rear to the front, unlike this embodiment.

[0019] As shown in FIG. 2, the protruding portion 21 of this embodiment has a first region that slopes downward from the vehicle exterior toward the vehicle interior, and a second region that extends linearly downward from the first region. The rear part of the first region slopes downward toward the rear as shown in FIG. 1. The lower edge of the second region is located below the lower edge of the heat exhaust duct 42 as shown in FIG. 2. In this embodiment, the lower edge of the second region is at a height that corresponds approximately to the upper surface of the cross member 63. Unlike this embodiment, the part of the lower edge of the second region that is rearward of the cross member 63 may be extended downward to the region where the heat exhaust duct 42 and the seat belts 50a, 50 in normal operation overlap when viewed from the side. Although not shown and described, an interior member similar to the interior member shown on the right side is also provided on the left side of the vehicle.

[0020] In addition, the projection 21 is not limited to this embodiment as long as it can prevent the seat belts 50b, 50 from contacting the exhaust heat duct 42 during a frontal collision when the seat belts 50b, 50 are displaced downward. Unlike this embodiment, although not shown in the drawings, the lower end of the second region may not be located lower than the lower end of the exhaust heat duct 42. For example, the lower end of the second region may be located exactly in the middle between the upper end and the lower end of the exhaust heat duct 42, may be located between the middle and the lower end, or may be flush with the lower end. In addition, the front end of the projection 21 may not protrude forward beyond the cross member 63. For example, the front end of the projection 21 may be located exactly in the middle between the rear end and the front end of the cross member 63, may be located between the middle and the front end, or may be flush with the front end.

[0021] [Behavior during collision] (In the case of this embodiment having a protruding portion) As shown by the two-dot chain lines in Figs. 1 and 2, the seat belts 50a, 50 in normal conditions are located above the protruding portion 21. When an occupant is displaced forward during a frontal collision of the vehicle, the seat belts 50a, 50 in normal conditions are pulled forward by the occupant and displaced downward as shown by the solid lines in Figs. 1 and 2 as the seat belts 50b, 50 in a frontal collision. The seat belts 50b, 50 displaced downward during a frontal collision are guided by the protruding portion 21 to the inside of the vehicle beyond the protruding portion 21 by sliding against the protruding portion 21. This guide prevents the seat belts 50b, 50 from contacting the exhaust heat duct 42 during a frontal collision. Therefore, damage to the exhaust heat duct 42 due to the contact is suppressed.

[0022] (If there is no protrusion and the exhaust heat duct is not covered by interior materials) During a frontal collision of the vehicle, although not shown in the drawings, the seat belts 50b, 50 are displaced downward during the frontal collision and come into contact with the exhaust heat duct 42. For this reason, it is difficult to prevent damage to the exhaust heat duct 42 due to the contact.

[0023] The present invention is not limited to these examples, but is defined by the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims.

[0024] For example, the protruding portion may be configured separately from the B-pillar trim. In other words, the protruding portion may be a member independent of the B-pillar trim. That is, the interior member may have a protruding portion that is separate from the B-pillar trim.

[0025] For example, the battery may be disposed on a floor panel below the rear seat. In this case, the specific member is a heat exhaust duct for the battery. The belt anchor is a belt anchor for a seat belt of the rear seat. The interior member is a quarter pillar trim. The quarter pillar trim is a member that covers the interior side of the quarter pillar.

[0026] For example, the particular member may be a wire harness or an air conditioner duct. [Explanation of symbols]
