Effect of the Invention

[0022] The present invention has an effect of providing a composition that uses a cationically polymerizable component and that can produce a cured product that has excellent stability over time in light absorption properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0023] First, the composition of the present invention will be described in detail.

[0024] A. Composition The composition of the present invention contains a dye and a cationically polymerizable component, and the cationically polymerizable component contains an epoxy compound having a polycyclic aliphatic structure and an alicyclic epoxy compound. The present inventor has found that, in the past, when an optical filter was formed using a radically polymerizable coloring composition containing a dye as a colorant, there was a problem that an optical filter having excellent light absorption properties in a desired wavelength region could not be obtained. The inventors have also found that by using a cationically polymerizable compound as the curable compound, a cured product having excellent light absorbency in a desired wavelength region can be obtained, and proposed this prior to filing the present application. However, as a result of further research, the present inventors have found that when a cured product formed using a cationic polymerizable compound is used, there is a problem that the light absorption may change over time. As a result of further intensive research, it has been found that a cured product having excellent stability of light absorption over time can be obtained by including a cationic polymerizable component including a dye, an epoxy compound having a polycyclic aliphatic structure, and an alicyclic epoxy compound.

[0025] The present inventors consider the reason why the light absorption stability over time can be obtained by using a specific polymerizable component as follows. Cationic polymerizable components such as epoxy compounds have a milder curing reaction than radical polymerizable compounds such as methacrylates and acrylates, and can suppress the occurrence of denaturation of the dye during curing. In particular, the present inventors have found that the use of a combination of two specific cationic polymerizable components has an excellent effect of suppressing denaturation of the dye, and as a result, when the composition is cured, the content of the dye, i.e., the dye capable of absorbing light in a desired wavelength region, is less likely to decrease over time. The detailed reasons for this are considered to be as follows. That is, the above-mentioned two specific cationic polymerizable components contain a ring structure, and thus a cured product with little cure shrinkage can be obtained. In particular, an epoxy compound having a polycyclic aliphatic structure can effectively suppress cure shrinkage due to steric hindrance caused by the polycyclic aliphatic structure. In addition, an epoxy compound having a polycyclic aliphatic structure can effectively block the intrusion of moisture into the cured product due to the polycyclic aliphatic structure. In particular, even under high temperature and high humidity conditions, the intrusion of moisture into the cured product can be effectively blocked. As a result, the above-mentioned composition can easily form a cured product in which the dye is stably retained, the dye bleeds out less, and the decomposition or denaturation of the dye due to the influence of the invaded moisture can be suppressed. In addition, the alicyclic epoxy compound has excellent curability and can efficiently polymerize with other alicyclic epoxy compounds and with epoxy compounds having a polycyclic aliphatic structure. As a result, the composition stably retains the dye, and can easily form a cured product with little dye bleed-out, and can easily proceed with polymerization sufficiently, so that the composition can effectively block the intrusion of moisture into the cured product and can suppress decomposition or modification of the dye. For the above reasons, a composition using a combination of two specific types of cationically polymerizable components can give a cured product that has excellent light absorption properties in the desired wavelength range, and also has excellent stability of light absorption properties over time. In addition, in the composition of the present invention, it is preferable to use a cationic polymerizable component containing a specific component, since it is possible to maintain the dye in a stably dispersed state. The cationic polymerizable component containing two specific epoxy compounds has less cure shrinkage during curing compared with, for example, radical polymerizable compounds such as methacrylate and acrylate, and has fewer problems such as dye aggregation during curing. As a result, the dye is stably dispersed and maintained in the cured product of the composition. As a result, the dye in the cured product can efficiently absorb light in the desired wavelength range. As described above, the composition of the present invention not only gives a cured product having excellent stability over time in terms of light absorption, but also makes it easier to predict the light absorption properties of the cured product.

[0026] The composition of the present invention further exhibits the following effects. As described above, the cationic polymerizable component containing two specific epoxy compounds has little cure shrinkage during polymerization, and therefore the composition is less likely to curl or peel off even when applied to a member such as a substrate and then cured. In addition, since the composition can be cured by cationic polymerization, the obtained cured product can be three-dimensionally crosslinked. As a result, the cured product has excellent durability, such as dye retention performance, strength, etc., compared to a composition in which a dye is dispersed in a thermoplastic resin, etc. Furthermore, the cured product obtained from the composition has excellent flexibility, as compared with, for example, radical polymerizable compounds such as acrylates, etc. Therefore, the optical filter produced using the composition can be particularly preferably used in, for example, image display devices that require flexibility. From the above, by simultaneously containing a specified dye and two specific cationic polymerizable components, the above composition is capable of forming a cured product having excellent stability of light absorption over time, and is capable of obtaining a cured product that is particularly excellent in light absorption in the desired wavelength range, has little curling or peeling, and has excellent adhesion and flexibility.

[0027] Each component contained in the composition of the present invention will be described in detail below.

[0028] 1. Cationic polymerizable component The cationic polymerizable component refers to a compound that undergoes a polymerizing or crosslinking reaction by the action of an acid. In the present invention, the cationic polymerizable component contains an epoxy compound having a polycyclic aliphatic structure and an alicyclic epoxy compound.

[0029] (1) Epoxy compound having a polycyclic aliphatic structure (A) The polycyclic aliphatic structure refers to a condensed ring consisting of only aliphatic rings, specifically, a structure in which two or more aliphatic rings are condensed without containing an aromatic ring. The polycyclic aliphatic structure may be either a saturated polycyclic aliphatic structure or an unsaturated polycyclic aliphatic structure. Saturated polycyclic aliphatic structures include bornane ring, adamantane ring, norbornane ring, bicyclo[2.1.0]pentane ring, bicyclo[2.1.1]hexane ring, bicyclo[2.2.0]hexane ring, bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane ring, norpinane ring, norcarane ring, bicyclo[2.2.2]octane ring, bicyclo[3.2.1]octane ring, bicyclo[3.3.0]octane ring, bicyclo[4.2.0]octane ring, bicyclo[5.1.0]octane ring, bicyclo[4.3.0]nonane ring, bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane ring, bicyclo[4.3.1]decane ring, tricyclo[5.2.1.0 2,6]Decane ring (also called tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene ring) is an example. Examples of the unsaturated polycyclic aliphatic structure include a norbornene ring, a dicyclopentadiene ring, and a bicyclo[2.2.2]oct-2-ene ring. As the polycyclic aliphatic structure, a saturated polycyclic aliphatic structure is preferred because it is easier to suppress the denaturation of the dye, and it is easier to form a cured product having excellent stability of light absorption over time, and it is easier to obtain a cured product having excellent light absorption in a desired wavelength region.

[0030] The polycyclic aliphatic structure may contain heteroatoms among the constituent atoms of the ring, but it is preferable that the polycyclic aliphatic structure does not contain heteroatoms in that it is easy to obtain a cured product that has excellent light absorption in the desired wavelength region, it is less likely to react with the dye, and it is easy to prevent the dye from deteriorating, and it is easy to form a cured product that has excellent stability of light absorption over time. The polycyclic aliphatic structure may be any of bicyclic, tricyclic, and tetracyclic or more, but is preferably tricyclic or bicyclic, and more preferably tricyclic, because the composition has an excellent balance between the effect of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption and curability. A bicyclic ring is a ring structure having two rings, including structures in which two rings share two or more atoms, such as a bicyclo[2.1.0]pentane ring or a norbornane ring, and structures in which two rings are bonded by one atom, such as a spiro ring structure. In addition, a tricyclic ring is a ring structure having three rings, and examples thereof include a bicyclic structure in which one ring and the third ring share two or more atoms. The number of carbon atoms constituting the polycyclic aliphatic structure is not particularly limited, but is preferably 7 to 12, more preferably 9 to 11. This is because the composition has an effect of obtaining a cured product with excellent stability over time of light absorption, and has an excellent balance between curability. The number of carbon atoms constituting the polycyclic aliphatic structure represents the number of carbon atoms forming the polycyclic aliphatic ring skeleton, and does not include the number of carbon atoms of the substituent.

[0031] Polycyclic aliphatic structures include tricyclo[5.2.1.0 2,6 ] A decane ring structure is preferred from the standpoint of the effect of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption and the balance with curability, and specific examples include those represented by the following formula (I). [ka] (The polycyclic aliphatic structure in the formula means that the * portion bonds to the adjacent group.)

[0032] The epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure may contain only one polycyclic aliphatic structure, or may contain two or more polycyclic aliphatic structures, but preferably contains one. This is because the composition has an excellent balance between the effect of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption properties and curability. In addition, the epoxy compound (A) is preferably a compound having a polycyclic aliphatic structure in its main chain, since it is easy to obtain a cured product with excellent stability of light absorption over time. The compound having a polycyclic aliphatic structure in the main chain can be a compound in which two or more epoxy groups are bonded to the polycyclic aliphatic structure via an ether structure. The ether structure refers to a structure containing an ether group.

[0033] One or more hydrogen atoms on the ring in a polycyclic aliphatic structure may be replaced by a substituent. Examples of the substituent include a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms which may have a substituent, a group containing a heterocycle having 2 to 30 carbon atoms which may have a substituent, a group in which a methylene group in the hydrocarbon group or the group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms is substituted with a divalent group selected from the following Group I, provided that the oxygen atoms are not adjacent to each other, an amino group, or a halogen atom. Examples of the substituent substituting one or more hydrogen atoms in the hydrocarbon group or the group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, or in the group in which a methylene group of such a group is substituted with a divalent group selected from Group I below, include a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, a hydroxyl group, an amino group, a carboxyl group, a methacryloyl group, an acryloyl group, an epoxy group, a vinyl group, a vinyl ether group, a mercapto group, and an isocyanate group. Group I: -O-, -CO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -NR 10 -, -NR 10 CO-, -S-, -CS-, -SO 2 -, -SCO-, -COS-, -OCS-, CSO- or a combination of these groups provided that oxygen atoms are not adjacent to each other. R 10 represents a hydrogen atom or an unsubstituted hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms. In this specification, when a hydrogen atom of a group having a predetermined number of carbon atoms is substituted with a substituent containing a carbon atom, the carbon atom of the substituent is also included in the definition of the predetermined number of carbon atoms. Therefore, when a hydrogen atom in a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms is substituted with a substituent, the number of carbon atoms of 1 to 30 refers to the number of carbon atoms after the hydrogen atom is substituted, and does not refer to the number of carbon atoms of the group before the hydrogen atom is substituted. In addition, the number of carbon atoms in a group in which a methylene group in a group with a specified number of carbon atoms is replaced with a divalent group is the same as the number of carbon atoms in the group before the substitution. Therefore, the number of carbon atoms in a group in which a methylene group in a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms is replaced with a divalent group is 1 to 30.

[0034] Hydrocarbon groups having 1 to 30 carbon atoms which can replace hydrogen atoms on the ring of a polycyclic aliphatic structure and R in the above group I 10The hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms represented by the formula (I) may be any group not containing a heterocyclic structure, and examples thereof include a linear or branched chain alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 30 carbon atoms, and an aliphatic hydrocarbon group such as a cycloalkyl group having 4 to 30 carbon atoms, and an aromatic hydrocarbon group such as an aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, and an arylalkyl group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms. In view of good sensitivity of the curable composition, the above-mentioned hydrocarbon group is more preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, particularly 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, particularly 2 to 10 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, particularly 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a cycloalkylalkyl group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms, particularly 4 to 10 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, particularly 6 to 10 carbon atoms, and an arylalkyl group having 7 to 20 carbon atoms, particularly 7 to 10 carbon atoms.

[0035] Examples of the linear or branched chain alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms include a methyl group, an ethyl group, a propyl group, an isopropyl group, a butyl group, an isobutyl group, a s-butyl group, a t-butyl group, an amyl group, an isoamyl group, a t-amyl group, a hexyl group, a heptyl group, an octyl group, an isooctyl group, a 2-ethylhexyl group, a t-octyl group, a nonyl group, an isononyl group, a decyl group, an isodecyl group, an undecyl group, a dodecyl group, a tetradecyl group, a hexadecyl group, an octadecyl group, and an icosyl group.

[0037] A cycloalkyl group having 3 to 30 carbon atoms means a saturated monocyclic or saturated polycyclic alkyl group having 3 to 30 carbon atoms. Examples of the cycloalkyl group include a monocyclic hydrocarbon group or a bridged hydrocarbon ring group, which is a group in which one hydrogen atom has been removed from a cycloalkyl ring, such as a monocyclic hydrocarbon ring such as a cyclohexyl ring or a bridged hydrocarbon ring such as a norbornane ring, or a group in which one or more hydrogen atoms in the ring of a group in which one hydrogen atom has been removed from a cycloalkyl ring are substituted with an aliphatic hydrocarbon group.

[0038] Examples of the monocyclic hydrocarbon group include a cyclopropyl group, a cyclobutyl group, a cyclopentyl group, a cyclohexyl group, a cycloheptyl group, a cyclooctyl group, a cyclononyl group, a cyclodecyl group, a methylcyclopentyl group, a methylcyclohexyl group, a dimethylcyclohexyl group, a trimethylcyclohexyl group, a tetramethylcyclohexyl group, a pentamethylcyclohexyl group, an ethylcyclohexyl group, and a methylcycloheptyl group. [0039] As the cycloalkylalkyl group having 4 to 30 carbon atoms, a group obtained by combining the above cycloalkyl group with the above linear or branched chain alkyl group can also be used. For example, there can be mentioned a group in which one or more hydrogen atoms in a linear or branched chain alkyl group are substituted with the above cycloalkyl group, and a group in which one or more methylene groups in a linear or branched chain alkyl group are substituted with a group in which one hydrogen atom has been removed from the above cycloalkyl group. Specifically, examples of a group having 4 to 30 carbon atoms in which a hydrogen atom of a linear or branched alkyl group is replaced by a cycloalkyl group include a cyclopropylmethyl group, a cyclobutylmethyl group, a cyclopentylmethyl group, a cyclohexylmethyl group, a cycloheptylmethyl group, a cyclooctylmethyl group, a cyclononylmethyl group, a cyclodecylmethyl group, a 2-cyclobutylethyl group, a 2-cyclopentylethyl group, a 2-cyclohexylethyl group, a 2-cycloheptylethyl group, a 2-cyclooctylethyl group, a 2-cyclononylethyl group, a 2-cyclodecylethyl group, a 3-cyclobutylpropyl group, a 3-cyclopentylpropyl group, a 3-cyclohexylpropyl group, a 3-cycloheptylpropyl group, a 3-cyclooctylpropyl group, a 3-cyclononylpropyl group, a 3-cyclodecylpropyl group, a 4-cyclobutylbutyl group, a 4-cyclopentylbutyl group, a 4-cyclohexylbutyl group, a 4-cyclohexylethyl group, a Examples of the cycloalkylalkyl group having 4 to 10 carbon atoms include a cyclopropylmethyl group, a cyclobutylmethyl group, a cyclopentylmethyl group, a cyclohexylmethyl group, a cycloheptylmethyl group, a cyclooctylmethyl group, a cyclononylmethyl group, a 2-cyclobutylethyl group, a 2-cyclopentylethyl group, a 2-cyclohexylethyl group, a 2-cycloheptylethyl group, a 2-cyclooctylethyl group, a 3-cyclobutylpropyl group, a 3-cyclopentylpropyl group, a 3-cyclohexylpropyl group, a 3-cycloheptylpropyl group, a 4-cyclobutylbutyl group, a 4-cyclopentylbutyl group, a 4-cyclohexylbutyl group, a 4-cyclopentylbutyl group, and a 4-cyclohexylbutyl group.

[0040] The aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms may be a group obtained by removing one hydrogen atom from an aromatic ring or a group in which a hydrogen atom in an aromatic ring contained in the group is substituted with an aliphatic hydrocarbon group. The secondary amino group and the tertiary amino group are each a primary amino group (-NH 2) in which one or two hydrogen atoms are substituted with a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms. As the hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, the hydrocarbon groups listed above as groups capable of substituting hydrogen atoms on a ring of a polycyclic aliphatic structure can be used.

[0048] In terms of availability and ease of obtaining a cured product with excellent stability over time of light absorption, the polycyclic aliphatic structure is preferably one in which the hydrogen atom on the ring is not substituted with a substituent, or if substituted, the substituent is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a halogen atom. From the same viewpoint, it is more preferable that the hydrogen atom on the ring is not substituted with a substituent, or if substituted, the substituent is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or a halogen atom, and it is particularly preferable that the hydrogen atom on the ring is not substituted with a substituent, or if substituted, the substituent is an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or a halogen atom, and it is most preferable that the hydrogen atom on the ring is not substituted with a substituent, or if substituted, the substituent is a methyl group or a halogen atom. This is because it is easy to form a cured product with excellent stability over time of light absorption and is easily available.

[0049] The number of polycyclic aliphatic structures in the epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure and the linking structure between the epoxy group and the polycyclic aliphatic structure can be any. The epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure may be a monofunctional epoxy compound, but is preferably a polyfunctional epoxy compound from the viewpoint of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption and easily obtaining a composition having excellent balance with curability. More preferably, it is a compound having 2 to 4 functional groups, and even more preferably, it is a compound having 2 to 3 functional groups. In particular, the epoxy compound (A) is preferably a compound having a glycidyl ether group from the viewpoint of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption and easily obtaining a composition having excellent balance with curability, and is particularly preferably a compound having one or more glycidyl ether groups directly bonded to the polycyclic aliphatic structure, and most preferably a compound having two or more glycidyl ether groups directly bonded to the polycyclic aliphatic structure. This is because such a compound is easy to obtain a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption and is easy to obtain.

[0050] As the epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure, it is preferable that the compound does not have a cycloalkyl epoxy group, because it is possible to obtain a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption, and it is easy to obtain a composition having a good balance between curability and light absorption. Note that the cycloalkyl epoxy group can be the same as that described in the section "(2) Alicyclic epoxy compound (B)" below. It is more preferable that the epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure is an aliphatic epoxy compound having a polycyclic aliphatic structure in terms of the effect of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption and the balance with curability. In this specification, the aliphatic epoxy compound refers to an epoxy compound having an aliphatic group but no aromatic group and no cycloalkyl epoxy group. The reason why the epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure is an aliphatic epoxy compound, which has the effect of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption, has an excellent balance with curability, and is more likely to obtain a cured product having excellent light absorption in a desired wavelength range, is not clear, but it is presumed that the reason is that the absence of an aromatic group effectively suppresses stacking between aromatic groups, and more effectively suppresses curing shrinkage, etc.

[0051] A preferred structure of the epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure will be described more specifically below. The epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure is preferably represented by the following formula (II) or formula (III), and more preferably represented by formula (II), in that it has an effect of giving a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption and has an excellent balance with curability.

This is because the composition has excellent stability over time of light absorption and can obtain a cured product having good adhesion to the substrate by using the above molecular weight. In addition, when the compound represented by the formula (2) has a portion where a monomer or oligomer is polymerized, the above molecular weight can be a weight average molecular weight. In addition, the measurement of such a weight average molecular weight can be performed under the measurement conditions of the weight average molecular weight (Mw) when the compound is a polymer, which will be described later. The epoxy equivalent of the compound represented by formula (2) may be any one that can form a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption, but is preferably from 100 to 500, and more preferably from 150 to 200. When the epoxy equivalent is in the above range, the composition has excellent stability over time of light absorption, and can give a cured product having better adhesion to a substrate.

[0083] [ka] (In the formula, R 5a and R 5b represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and * represents the bonding point.)

[0084] In addition, as the aliphatic epoxy compound (C1) having no polycyclic aliphatic structure, a diglycidyl ether of an aliphatic diol compound can be preferably used as a polyglycidyl ether of an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol or its alkylene oxide adduct, and in particular, a compound represented by the following formula (5) can be preferably used. By using the above compound, the above composition can easily form a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption.

[0085] [ka] (In the formula, Y 2 represents a linear or branched alkylene group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or a group in which one or more methylene groups in the alkylene group are replaced with -O-, provided that no oxygen atom is adjacent to the methylene group.

[0086] Y 2 As the linear or branched alkylene group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms represented by the above formula, 1The same linear or branched alkylene group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms as used in Y can be used. 2 In the group represented by the formula (I), one or more methylene groups of the alkylene group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms may be replaced with -O-. 2 The group represented by the following formula may be a linear or branched alkylene group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms in which one or more methylene groups have been replaced with -O-. When a methylene group in the alkylene group is replaced with -O-, the replacement with -O- is provided under the condition that oxygen atoms are not adjacent to each other in the alkylene group.

[0087] In the present invention, Y 2 However, it is preferably a branched alkylene group or a group in which a methylene group in the alkylene group is substituted with -O-. By having the above structure, the composition can easily form a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption, and the above-mentioned cured product having easily adjustable light absorption can be obtained. This is because the composition can give a cured product that is easy to form and has excellent stability over time in light absorption.

[0088] Specific examples of the diglycidyl etherified products of the aliphatic diol compounds represented by the above formula (3) or (5) include diglycidyl etherified products of polyalkylene glycols such as diethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, dipropylene glycol diglycidyl ether, and tripropylene glycol diglycidyl ether; ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, propylene glycol diglycidyl ether; diglycidyl ethers of polyether polyols obtained by adding alkylene oxides to (poly)alkylene glycols; ecyclohexanedimethylol diglycidyl ether, neopentyl glycol diglycidyl ether, 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether, 1,6-hexanediol diglycidyl ether, and 1,9-nonanediol diglycidyl ether.

[0089] In addition, the aliphatic epoxy compound (C1) not having the polycyclic aliphatic structure may be exemplified by the following representative aliphatic epoxy compounds: glycidyl ether of polyhydric alcohols such as triglycidyl ether of glycerin, triglycidyl ether of trimethylolpropane, tetraglycidyl ether of sorbitol, and hexaglycidyl ether of dipentaerythritol; polyglycidyl ether of polyether polyol obtained by adding one or more alkylene oxides to aliphatic polyhydric alcohols such as trimethylolpropane and glycerin; and diglycidyl ester of aliphatic long-chain dibasic acid. Furthermore, monoglycidyl ether of aliphatic higher alcohols, glycidyl ester of higher fatty acid, epoxidized soybean oil, epoxy octyl stearate, epoxy butyl stearate, and epoxidized polybutadiene may be mentioned. The aliphatic epoxy resin may be one that does not contain an epoxycycloalkyl group or an aromatic ring.

[0090] When the composition of the present invention contains an aliphatic epoxy compound (C1) having no polycyclic aliphatic structure, the amount of the aliphatic epoxy compound (C1) having no polycyclic aliphatic structure in the cationic polymerizable component is preferably 1 part by mass or more and 45 parts by mass or less, more preferably 3 parts by mass or more and 40 parts by mass or less, and particularly preferably 5 parts by mass or more and 30 parts by mass or less, because the inclusion of the aliphatic epoxy compound (C1) having no polycyclic aliphatic structure facilitates the formation of a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption. [0091] Furthermore, when the composition of the present invention contains an aliphatic epoxy compound containing a monocyclic aliphatic ring as the above (C1), the amount of the aliphatic epoxy compound containing a monocyclic aliphatic ring in the cationic polymerizable component is preferably 0.5 parts by mass or more and 30 parts by mass or less, more preferably 1 part by mass or more and 20 parts by mass or less, and particularly preferably 4 parts by mass or more and 15 parts by mass or less, in order to obtain the above-mentioned advantages due to the inclusion of an aliphatic epoxy compound containing a monocyclic aliphatic ring and to facilitate the formation of a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption. The amount of the aliphatic epoxy compound containing a monocyclic aliphatic ring may be 0 parts by mass.

[0092] Furthermore, when the composition of the present invention contains an aliphatic epoxy compound having no aliphatic ring as the above (C1), the amount of the aliphatic epoxy compound having no aliphatic ring in the cationic polymerizable component is preferably 0.5 parts by mass or more and 40 parts by mass or less, more preferably 1 part by mass or more and 30 parts by mass or less, and particularly preferably 3 parts by mass or more and 25 parts by mass or less, in order to obtain the above-mentioned advantages due to the inclusion of the compound and to facilitate the formation of a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption. Specific examples of other compounds (C2) include polyglycidyl ethers of aromatic compounds having two or more alcoholic hydroxyl groups, such as benzenedimethanol, benzenediethanol, and benzenedibutanol; polyglycidyl esters of polybasic aromatic compounds having two or more carboxylic acids, such as phthalic acid, terephthalic acid, and trimellitic acid; polyglycidyl esters of benzoic acids, such as benzoic acid, toluic acid, and naphthoic acid; glycidyl esters of benzoic acid; and epoxidized products of styrene oxide or divinylbenzene. Among them, the aromatic epoxy compound (C2) is preferably a monofunctional aromatic epoxy compound having one epoxy group, such as glycidyl ether of monofunctional phenols, and particularly preferably a glycidyl ether of monofunctional phenols. This is because it is easy to form a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption. In addition, it is easy to adjust the viscosity, and it is easy to prepare a composition having excellent coating properties.

[0094] The content of the aromatic epoxy compound not having a polycyclic aliphatic structure may be an amount that can obtain a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption. However, for example, when an aromatic epoxy compound is contained, it can be 0.5 parts by mass or more and 20 parts by mass or less in 100 parts by mass of the cationic polymerizable component, and it is preferably 1 part by mass or more and 20 parts by mass or less. When the content is in the above range, the composition can easily form a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption, and it is easy to prepare a composition having excellent coating properties. The amount of the aromatic epoxy compound not having a polycyclic aliphatic structure may be 0 parts by mass.

[0095] The oxetane compound may be one that has an oxetane structure but does not contain an epoxy structure. Specific examples of such oxetane compounds include those described in Japanese Patent No. 6103653.

[0096] As the cationic polymerizable component, other compounds such as thiirane compounds and thietane compounds can be used. Other compounds that can be used as such a cationic polymerizable component, such as cyclic lactone compounds, cyclic acetal compounds, cyclic thioether compounds, spiro orthoester compounds, and vinyl compounds such as vinyl ether compounds and ethylenically unsaturated compounds, can be similar to those described in Japanese Patent No. 6103653, etc.

[0097] (4)Other In the present invention, the total content of the epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure and the alicyclic epoxy compound (B) is preferably 40 parts by mass or more, more preferably 50 parts by mass or more, more preferably 60 parts by mass or more, and particularly preferably 70 parts by mass or more in 100 parts by mass of the cationic polymerizable component. This is because a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption and good adhesion to the substrate can be obtained. In addition, a cured product having a steep absorption peak in a desired wavelength range can be obtained. In the present invention, the total content of the epoxy compound (A) having a polycyclic aliphatic structure and the alicyclic epoxy compound (B) is preferably 99 parts by mass or less, more preferably 98 parts by mass or less, and more preferably 95 parts by mass or less in 100 parts by mass of the cationic polymerizable component. It is preferable that the content is less than these upper limits in that it is easy to form a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption.

[0098] The cationically polymerizable component in the present invention may be any component capable of giving a cured product having excellent stability over time in terms of light absorption properties, and for example, either a low molecular weight compound or a high molecular weight compound may be used. From the viewpoint of ease of application of the composition, the cationic polymerizable component preferably contains a low molecular weight compound. In addition, the low molecular weight compound has excellent dispersibility or solubility in the composition, and therefore a cured product having excellent transparency can be obtained. The molecular weight of the low molecular weight compound may be any molecular weight that provides the desired coatability, etc., and can be, for example, 1,000 or less, preferably 50 or more and 500 or less, and more preferably 50 or more and 300 or less. In the following, when the compound is a polymer, the molecular weight indicates the weight average molecular weight (Mw). The weight average molecular weight can be determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) using a polystyrene standard equivalent. The weight average molecular weight Mw can be obtained, for example, by measurement using a GPC (LC-2000plus series) manufactured by JASCO Corporation, using tetrahydrofuran as an elution solvent, polystyrene standards for calibration curve Mw 1110000, 707000, 397000, 189000, 98900, 37200, 13700, 9490, 5430, 3120, 1010, and 589 (TSKgel standard polystyrene manufactured by Tosoh Corporation), and a measurement column KF-804, KF-803, or KF-802 (manufactured by Showa Denko K.K.). The measurement temperature can be 40° C., and the flow rate can be 1.0 mL / min. The sample concentration during measurement can be 0.1% by mass to 0.2% by mass.

[0099] The content of the low molecular weight compound may be any content that can obtain a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption, and for example, in 100 parts by mass of the cationic polymerizable component, it is preferably 10 parts by mass or more, more preferably 30 parts by mass or more, particularly preferably 50 parts by mass or more, and particularly preferably 60 parts by mass or more and 99 parts by mass or less. When the content is in the above range, the composition can easily form a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption.

[0100] The content of the cationic polymerizable component in the composition of the present invention is not problematic as long as it is an amount that can obtain a cured product with excellent stability over time of light absorption, and for example, it can be 50 parts by mass or more in 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, and is preferably 50 parts by mass or more and 99 parts by mass or less, and more preferably 70 parts by mass or more and 96 parts by mass or less, and more preferably 85 parts by mass or more and 95 parts by mass or less. By the content being within the above range, the composition can easily form a cured product with excellent stability over time of light absorption. The solid content includes all components other than the solvent.

[0101] 2. Dye The dye in the present invention is preferably a cationic dye, since it can effectively obtain the effect of being able to produce a cured product with excellent stability over time of light absorption, and is excellent in light transmittance outside a predetermined wavelength range, making it suitable for use as an optical filter. The cationic dye may be any dye that can obtain a cured product with excellent stability over time of light absorption, and examples of the dye include cyanine dyes, merocyanine dyes, pyrromethene dyes, azo dyes, tetraazaporphyrin dyes, xanthene dyes, and triarylmethane dyes. As the dye, it is preferable to use one that can absorb light in the wavelength range where the emission spectra of two colors overlap, for example, from the viewpoint of using it in an optical filter that reduces the overlap between visible light of two types of colors. In the present invention, the dye preferably includes at least one of a pyrromethene dye and a tetraazaporphyrin dye, because these dyes are easily denatured in the presence of moisture and the like, and can effectively exert the effect of being able to obtain a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption properties.

[0102] In the present invention, it is preferable to use at least one dye having a maximum absorption wavelength of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm, from the viewpoint of facilitating use in an optical filter that reduces overlapping of blue light and green light and improves color purity. In the present invention, it is preferable to use a pyrromethene dye as a dye having a maximum absorption wavelength of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm. In the present invention, it is preferable to use at least one dye having a maximum absorption wavelength of 550 nm or more and less than 610 nm, from the viewpoint of facilitating use in an optical filter that reduces overlapping of green light and red light and improves color purity. It is preferable to use a tetraazaporphyrin dye as a dye having a maximum absorption wavelength of 550 nm or more and less than 610 nm. For the above reasons, it is preferable in the present invention that the dye contains at least one of a pyrromethene dye and a tetraazaporphyrin dye, and it is particularly preferable to contain both dyes.

[0103] The method for measuring the maximum absorption wavelength can be any method that can measure the maximum absorption wavelength with high accuracy. For example, the following method can be used. (1) Dissolve the dye in a solvent to prepare a dye solution. (2) The dye solution is filled into a quartz cell (optical path length 10 mm, thickness 1.25 mm), and the transmittance is measured using a spectrophotometer (for example, a visible / ultraviolet spectrophotometer V-670 manufactured by JASCO Corporation). The concentration of the dye solution does not matter as long as it is a concentration at which the maximum absorption wavelength can be accurately confirmed. For example, it can be adjusted so that the transmittance at the wavelength at which the maximum absorption wavelength occurs is about 5% (e.g., 3% or more and 7% or less). The solvent can be any solvent that can dissolve the dyes and can accurately measure the transmission spectrum of each dye, for example, by minimizing the shift in the maximum absorption wavelength, etc. For dyes that do not dissolve in chloroform, other solvents can be used. The transmission spectrum of the dye solution is corrected by measuring the transmission spectrum of the solvent alone in advance and subtracting the transmission spectrum of the solvent from the transmission spectrum of the dye solution. The half-width refers to the distance between two points located on either side of the peak top showing the maximum absorption wavelength (the distance between the wavelengths at which the half-value is observed, expressed as (100-transmittance at λmax) / 2). Specifically, when the transmittance at the wavelength λmax which is the maximum absorption wavelength is 4%, the wavelength distance at which the transmittance is 48% is defined as the half-value width. When the dye contains two or more kinds of dyes, a dye solution is prepared using each of the dyes.

[0104] (1) Pyrromethene dyes The pyrromethene dye may be any dye that has a pyrromethene skeleton and is capable of absorbing light in a desired wavelength range. For example, a compound represented by formula (2) described in JP-A-2013-109105 can be used. As the pyrromethene dye, from the viewpoint of easy formation of a cured product having excellent dispersion stability and excellent light absorption in the wavelength region of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm, a dipyrromethene complex compound in which a compound represented by the following formula (11) is coordinated to a metal atom or a metal compound can be preferably used.

[0105] [ka]

[0107] The metal atom or metal compound to which the compound represented by formula (11) is coordinated may be any that is capable of forming a complex. As the metal compounds, divalent ones can be used overall. The metal atom or metal compound may be any that can form a complex, and examples of such metal atoms or metal compounds include Zn, Mg, Si, Sn, Rh, Pt, Pd, Mo, Mn, Pb, Cu, Ni, Co, Fe, Al, In, Fe, Ti, Sn, Si, Ge, B, V, AlCl, InCl, FeCl, and TiCl. 2 , SnCl 2 , SiCl 2 , GeCl 2 , BCl 2 , B.F. 2 , TiO, VO, Si(OH) 2 etc. More specifically, preferred embodiments of the dipyrromethene complex compound in which the structure represented by formula (11) is coordinated to a metal atom or metal compound include the complex compounds represented by the following formulas (11-1) and (11-2): By using such complex compounds, it is easy to obtain a cured product having excellent light absorption in the wavelength region of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm. In the present invention, from the viewpoint of facilitating the formation of a composition which is excellent in dissolution rate during preparation of the composition and dispersion stability in the composition and which can produce a cured product having excellent light absorbency in a desired wavelength region, the dipyrromethene complex compound is preferably a pyrromethene complex compound having a dimer structure, and is particularly preferably a complex compound represented by the above formula (11-2).

[0111] It is preferable to use a complex compound that satisfies one or more of the following constitutions as formula (11), formula (11-1) or formula (11-2), since it is easy to obtain a cured product with excellent stability over time in light absorption. Any of the following preferred constitutions can be combined in any combination. It is also preferable since it is even easier to obtain a cured product with excellent light absorption in the wavelength region of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm.

[0112] In the formula (11), (11-1) or (11-2), R 101 , R 103 , R 105 , R 107The linear or branched alkyl group represented by the formula (I) is preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, more preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 15 carbon atoms, more preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and particularly preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms. 101 , R 103 , R 105 , R 107 It is preferable that the linear or branched alkyl group represented by the formula (I) is an unsubstituted alkyl group having no substituent substituting a hydrogen atom, because the dye has excellent dissolution rate during preparation of the composition and excellent dispersion stability in the composition. In the formula (11), (11-1) or (11-2), R 102 and R 106 The linear or branched chain alkyl group represented by the formula (I) is preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, more preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 15 carbon atoms, particularly preferably an alkyl group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, particularly preferably an alkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, and most preferably an alkyl group having 3 to 8 carbon atoms. R 102 and R 106 It is also preferable that the alkyl group represented by R 102 and R 106 It is preferable that the linear or branched alkyl group represented by the formula (I) is an unsubstituted alkyl group having no substituent substituting a hydrogen atom, because the dye has excellent dissolution rate during preparation of the composition and excellent dispersion stability in the composition. In the formula (11), (11-1) or (11-2), R 104 is preferably a hydrogen atom or an aryl group which may have a substituent, more preferably a hydrogen atom or a phenyl group which may have a substituent, and most preferably a hydrogen atom or a phenyl group substituted with a substituted amino group. 104 is preferably a phenyl group substituted with a substituted amino group, and in formula (11-2), R 104is preferably a hydrogen atom. The substituted amino group is preferably a tertiary amino group, and in particular, it is preferably a group in which two hydrogen atoms of the amino group are substituted with a linear or branched chain alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or a group in which two hydrogen atoms of the amino group are substituted with a linear or branched chain alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and an aryl group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms. This is because the dye has excellent dissolution rate during preparation of the composition and excellent dispersion stability in the composition. In the compound represented by formula (11-1), X is preferably a halogen atom, and more preferably a fluorine atom, because the dye has excellent dissolution rate during the preparation of the composition and excellent dispersion stability in the composition. As the compound represented by formula (11-2), M a is more preferably Zn, Cu, Ni or Co, and most preferably Co, because the dye has excellent dissolution rate during preparation of the composition and excellent dispersion stability in the composition.

[0113] Examples of the compound represented by formula (11-1) include the following exemplary compounds (1) to (16).

[0114] [Table A]

[0115] Examples of the compound represented by formula (11-2) include the following exemplary compounds (17) to (42).

[0116] [Table B]

[0117] The method for producing the pyrromethene dye represented by the above formula (11) is not particularly limited. For example, the method described in JP-A-2011-174036 can be used for synthesizing a compound having a pyrromethene structure, and the method described in JP-A-2006-189751 can be used for synthesizing a dimeric pyrromethene dye.

[0118] The pyrromethene dye preferably has a maximum absorption wavelength of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm. The phrase "having a maximum absorption wavelength of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm" can mean that the maximum absorption wavelength in the wavelength range of 380 nm or more and 780 nm or less is included in the range of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm. The maximum absorption wavelength of the pyrromethene dye is preferably 470 nm or more and 530 nm or less, and more preferably 480 nm or more and 510 nm or less. This is because it is easy to obtain a dye with excellent color purity of blue light and green light, and further, the decrease in color intensity is small. In addition, the effect of being able to obtain a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption can be more effectively achieved, and the effect of being able to obtain a cured product having excellent light absorption in a desired wavelength region can be more effectively achieved.

[0119] The content of the pyrromethene dye is preferably 10 parts by mass or more in 100 parts by mass of the dye, more preferably 20 parts by mass or more and 80 parts by mass or less, more preferably 30 parts by mass or more and 70 parts by mass or less, and more preferably 40 parts by mass or more and 60 parts by mass or less. This is because it can effectively exert the effect of obtaining a cured product with excellent stability over time of light absorption. In addition, it is easy to obtain a cured product with excellent light absorption in the desired wavelength region.

[0120] The content of the pyrromethene dye is preferably 0.01 parts by mass or more in 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, more preferably 0.01 parts by mass or more and 5 parts by mass or less, and particularly preferably 0.1 parts by mass or more and 5 parts by mass or less. This is because a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption can be obtained. [0150] More specifically, the tetraazaporphyrin dye compound represented by the above formula (12) can be similar to the specific example of formula (12) described in JP-A-2017-68221.

[0151] The above-mentioned tetraazaporphyrin dye compound can be produced by a known method, such as a production method similar to the method described in J. Gen. Chem. USSR vol. 47, 1954-1958 (1977) and JP2012-121821A.

[0152] Commercially available products of the above tetraazaporphyrin dye compounds include, for example, PD-311S, PD-320, NC-35, SNC-8 (all from Yamamoto Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), FDG-004, FDG-007 (all from Yamada Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), and the like.

[0155] The content of the tetraazaporphyrin dye is preferably 0.01 parts by mass or more, more preferably 0.01 parts by mass or more and 8 parts by mass or less, particularly preferably 0.1 parts by mass or more and 5 parts by mass or less, and particularly preferably 0.1 parts by mass or more and 3 parts by mass or less, per 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, because it is necessary to efficiently cut off only a specific wavelength.

[0158] (3)Other In the present invention, it is preferable that the dye is contained in an amount of 0.01 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less per 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, the cationically polymerizable component is contained in an amount of 50 parts by mass or more per 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, and the acid generator is contained in an amount of 0.01 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less per 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition. When the content is within the above range, the composition can easily give a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption properties.

[0159] The content of the dye in the composition of the present invention is not critical as long as it is an amount that can give a cured product having excellent stability over time in terms of light absorption, and is set appropriately depending on the use of the composition, etc. However, it can be from 0.01 to 20 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, and of these, from 0.01 to 5 parts by mass is preferable, and of these, from 0.1 to 5 parts by mass is particularly preferable. When the content is within the above range, the composition can easily give a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption properties. From the viewpoint of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability of light absorption over time, the content of the above dye is preferably from 0.5 to 4.5 parts by mass, more preferably from 1 to 4 parts by mass, and even more preferably from 1.5 to 4 parts by mass, per 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition. In addition, when the dye contains two or more kinds of dyes, the content of the dyes refers to the total content of the dyes.

[0160] The content of the dye is not critical as long as it is an amount that can give a cured product having excellent stability of light absorption over time, and is set appropriately depending on the use of the composition, etc., but can be from 0.01 to 10 parts by mass, preferably from 0.02 to 5 parts by mass, and particularly preferably from 0.05 to 5 parts by mass, and particularly preferably from 0.1 to 4.5 parts by mass, and particularly preferably from 0.5 to 4.5 parts by mass, and particularly preferably from 0.8 to 4.5 parts by mass, and particularly preferably from 1.0 to 4.5 parts by mass, and particularly preferably from 1.5 to 4.2 parts by mass.

[0161] 3. Acid generator The composition of the present invention preferably contains an acid generator, because the inclusion of an acid generator makes the composition a composition that is easily cationic curable. The acid generator is not particularly limited and may be any compound capable of generating an acid under predetermined conditions. As such an acid generator, for example, a photoacid generator capable of generating an acid upon irradiation with light such as ultraviolet light, or a thermal acid generator capable of generating an acid upon heat can be used. The acid generator may be at least one of the photoacid generator and the thermal acid generator, but a photoacid generator is preferred from the viewpoints of ease of curing, reduction of damage caused by heat to peripheral members used adjacent to the composition when the composition is cured, and increased freedom of selection of peripheral members, etc. The photoacid generator also has the advantage of a fast curing speed. In addition, the acid generator is preferably a thermal acid generator from the viewpoint of facilitating the formation of a cured product even in places where light has difficulty reaching. In addition, the thermal acid generator has a relatively slow curing speed, which can be utilized to easily perform lamination with other members after the curing treatment (heat treatment).

[0162] The content of the acid generator, either alone or in total, may be from 0.01 to 10 parts by mass, and more preferably from 0.1 to 5 parts by mass, per 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, because the composition can easily provide a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption.

[0163] The proportion of the acid generator relative to the cationic polymerizable component is not particularly limited, and may be used in a generally normal proportion within a range that does not impair the object of the present invention, but for example, the acid generator is preferably 0.05 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less, more preferably 0.5 parts by mass or more and 8 parts by mass or less, more preferably 1 part by mass or more and 7 parts by mass or less, and particularly preferably 1.5 parts by mass or more and 5 parts by mass or less, relative to 100 parts by mass of the cationic polymerizable component. The proportion of the acid generator within the above range is preferable in that the cationic polymerizable component is sufficiently cured and the heat resistance of the cured product of the composition is good. In addition, the composition makes it possible to easily obtain a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption properties.

[0164] (1) Photoacid generator The photoacid generator may be any compound capable of generating an acid upon irradiation with light such as ultraviolet light, but is preferably a double salt, which is an onium salt that releases a Lewis acid upon irradiation with ultraviolet light, or a derivative thereof. [0169] In addition, the anion [B] m- is preferably a halide complex, and the structure thereof can be represented, for example, by the following formula (23).

[0170] [ka]

[0171] Here, L is a metal or metalloid that is the central atom of the halide complex, such as B, P, As, Sb, Fe, Sn, Bi, Al, Ca, In, Ti, Zn, Sc, V, Cr, Mn, Co, etc. 2 is a halogen atom. b is an integer from 3 to 7. Also, the anion [B] m- When the valence of L in is p, the relationship m=bp must hold.

[0197] (2) Thermal acid generator The thermal acid generator is not particularly limited and may be any compound capable of generating an acid by heat, but preferably, a double salt that is an onium salt that releases a Lewis acid by heat, or a derivative thereof, is suitable because the cured product obtained by curing the resin composition has good heat resistance. Representative examples of such compounds include the compound [A] described in the above section "(1) Photoacid generator." m+ [B] m- It is possible to use a salt of a cation and an anion represented by the following formula:

[0198] Specific examples of the thermal acid generator include compounds represented by formula (2) in International Publication WO2018 / 110297. As the thermal acid generator, monophenylsulfonium salts are preferred because they are easily available industrially. Examples of the monophenylsulfonium salt include benzyl-p-hydroxyphenylmethylsulfonium salt, p-hydroxyphenyldimethylsulfonium salt, p-acetoxyphenyldimethylsulfonium salt, benzyl-p-hydroxyphenylmethylsulfonium salt, and benzylphenylsulfonium salt.

[0199] The temperature range at which the thermal acid generator generates an acid by heat and can cure the composition is not particularly limited, but is preferably from 50° C. to 250° C., more preferably from 100° C. to 220° C., even more preferably from 130° C. to 200° C., and even more preferably from 150° C. to 180° C., in terms of obtaining a cured product having suitable heat resistance and good thermal stability during the process, and is because the temperature range is easy to form a cured product of the composition.

[0201] 4. Other Ingredients The composition contains a dye and a cationically polymerizable component, and optionally contains an acid generator, and may further contain a solvent and other components. As the solvent, an organic solvent (hereinafter, sometimes simply referred to as a solvent), water, etc. can be used. The solvent is liquid at room temperature (25°C) and atmospheric pressure. The solvent is capable of dispersing or dissolving each component in the composition. Therefore, even if the solvent is liquid at room temperature (25°C) and atmospheric pressure, the dye and cationic polymerizable component do not fall under the category of a solvent. As the solvent, either water or an organic solvent can be used. In the present invention, it is preferable that the solvent is an organic solvent. This is because it is easy to dissolve or disperse the compound A. The other components include various additives. Such solvents and various additives may be the same as those described in WO2017 / 098996 and the like. The total content of the other components can be 30 parts by mass or less in 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition. When the composition contains the other components, the content of the other components is preferably 0.05 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less, and more preferably 0.1 parts by mass or more and 5 parts by mass or less. This is because the composition can easily form a cured product with excellent stability over time in light absorption.

[0202] The organic solvent to be used is one that is liquid at 25° C. and can be dried and removed when the composition is used to form a cured product. Specific examples of the organic solvent include ketones such as methyl ethyl ketone, methyl amyl ketone, diethyl ketone, acetone, methyl isopropyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone, and 2-heptanone; alcohol solvents such as methanol, ethanol, iso- or n-propanol, iso- or n-butanol, amyl alcohol, and diacetone alcohol; ethylene glycol monomethyl acetate, ethylene glycol monoethyl acetate, propylene glycol-1-monomethyl ether-2-acetate (PGMEA), dipropylene glycol monoethyl acetate, propylene glycol monoethyl acetate, di ... Examples of such solvents include ether ester solvents such as propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, 3-methoxybutyl acetate, ethoxyethyl propionate, 1-t-butoxy-2-propanol, 3-methoxybutyl acetate, and cyclohexanol acetate; BTX solvents such as benzene; aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents such as hexane; terpene hydrocarbon oils such as turpentine oil; paraffin solvents such as mineral spirits; halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents such as carbon tetrachloride; halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon solvents such as chlorobenzene; and carbitol solvents. These solvents can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Among these, the organic solvent preferably contains a ketone, an alcohol-based solvent, or an ether ester-based solvent, more preferably contains an alcohol-based solvent or an ether ester-based solvent, and particularly preferably contains an alcohol-based solvent, because the composition has excellent dispersion stability of the dye. The content of the organic solvent is preferably 50 parts by mass or more, more preferably 70 parts by mass or more, and particularly preferably 90 parts by mass or more, in 100 parts by mass of the solvent, because the composition has excellent dispersion stability of the dye when the content is within the above range. When the organic solvent contains an alcohol-based solvent, the content of the alcohol-based solvent is preferably 20 parts by mass or more and 80 parts by mass or less, more preferably 30 parts by mass or more and 70 parts by mass or less, and more preferably 40 parts by mass or more and 60 parts by mass or less, in 100 parts by mass of the solvent. When the content is in the above range, the composition has excellent dispersion stability of the dye.

[0203] The composition contains the above-mentioned cationically polymerizable component as a resin component, but may contain resin components other than the above-mentioned cationically polymerizable component (hereinafter sometimes referred to as other resin components) as necessary. Examples of the other resin components include polycondensable compounds and their polycondensates. Examples of the polycondensable compound include radically polymerizable compounds and monomer components constituting the polycondensate described below.

[0204] The radically polymerizable compound has a radically polymerizable group. The radically polymerizable group may be any group capable of being polymerized by radicals, and examples thereof include ethylenically unsaturated groups such as an acryloyl group, a methacryloyl group, and a vinyl group. The radical polymerizable compound may have one or more radical polymerizable groups, and may be a monofunctional compound having one radical polymerizable group or a polyfunctional compound having two or more radical polymerizable groups.

[0205] As the radically polymerizable compound, a compound having an acid value, a compound not having an acid value, etc. can be used. Examples of the compound having the above acid value include acrylate compounds and methacrylate compounds having a carboxyl group such as methacrylic acid and acrylic acid. Examples of the compound having no acid value include urethane acrylate resins, urethane methacrylate resins, epoxy acrylate resins, epoxy methacrylate resins, acrylate compounds and methacrylate compounds having no carboxyl groups, such as 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. The radical polymerizable compound can be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds. For example, the radical polymerizable compound can be used in combination of a compound having an ethylenically unsaturated group and an acid value and a compound having an ethylenically unsaturated group and no acid value. When two or more kinds of radically polymerizable compounds are used in combination, they may be copolymerized in advance and used as a copolymer. More specifically, examples of such radical polymerizable compounds include the radical polymerizable compounds described in JP-A-2016-176009.

[0206] In the present invention, from the viewpoint of being able to form a cured product having excellent light absorbency in a desired wavelength region and excellent stability of light absorbency over time, it is preferable that the content of the radically polymerizable compound is small. The content of the radically polymerizable compound is preferably 10 parts by mass or less, more preferably 5 parts by mass or less, and particularly preferably 1 part by mass or less, and particularly preferably 0.5 parts by mass or less, and particularly preferably 0 part by mass, i.e., no radically polymerizable compound, per 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition.

[0207] The polycondensate may be an oligomer or polymer containing two or more repeating units. Examples of the polycondensate include thermoplastic resins such as polyolefin resins, styrene resins, polyester resins, polyether resins, polycarbonate resins, polyamide resins, and halogen-containing resins. Such polycondensates may be, for example, the same as those described as thermoplastic resins in WO 2017 / 150662.

[0208] The other components include a sensitizer. As such a sensitizer, for example, anthracene-based compounds, naphthalene-based compounds, carbazole derivatives, and benzocarbazole derivatives can be preferably used, and among them, carbazole derivatives and benzocarbazole derivatives can be preferably used, and benzocarbazole derivatives can be particularly preferably used. By using the above sensitizer, the effect of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption is not hindered, and curability and the like can be improved. In addition, the bleeding out of the dye can be effectively suppressed, and the effect of obtaining a cured product having excellent stability over time of light absorption can be more effectively exhibited. In addition, the above composition is also more excellent in moisture permeability and the like.

[0229] In the present invention, among the benzocarbazole derivatives represented by formulas (VII-1) to (VII-3), R 235 , R 246 and R 257However, it is preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and more preferably a branched alkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, because this gives the composition excellent curability. [0230] The content of the sensitizer may be any one capable of promoting polymerization between cationic polymerizable components, and may be, for example, 0.01 to 6 parts by mass, either alone or in total, in 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, preferably 0.1 to 3 parts by mass, and more preferably 0.5 to 2 parts by mass, because the composition has excellent curability.

[0231] The ratio of the sensitizer to the cationically polymerizable compound is not particularly limited, and may be generally any ratio within the range that does not impair the object of the present invention. The content of the sensitizer is, for example, preferably 1 part by mass or more and 200 parts by mass or less, preferably 5 parts by mass or more and 100 parts by mass or less, preferably 10 parts by mass or more and 60 parts by mass or less, and preferably 15 parts by mass or more and 50 parts by mass or less, relative to 100 parts by mass of the acid generator. When the usage ratio is within the above range, the composition has excellent curability.

[0232] 5. Composition The content of each of the above components can be a combination of the contents described for each component. For example, when the above composition contains a cationically polymerizable component, a dye, and an acid generator, the contents of each component can be a combination of the contents described in the sections "1. Cationic polymerizable component," "2. Dye," and "3. Acid generator," respectively. When the composition contains a cationic polymerizable component, a dye, and an acid generator, for example, the content of the dye is 0.01 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less in 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, the content of the cationic polymerizable component is 50 parts by mass or more in 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition, and the content of the acid generator is 0.01 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less in 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the composition. By having the above-mentioned combination of the contents of each of the above components, the composition can easily obtain a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption.

[0233] The method for producing the composition may be any method capable of forming a composition containing the above components in the desired amounts, and examples of the method include methods using known mixing means.

[0234] The composition of the present invention is used in various applications as a photo- or heat-curable composition. Specific applications include optical filters, paints, coating agents, lining agents, adhesives, printing plates, insulating varnishes, insulating sheets, laminates, printed circuit boards, sealing agents for semiconductor devices, LED packages, liquid crystal injection ports, organic electroluminescence (EL), optical elements, electrical insulation, electronic components, and separation membranes, molding materials, putties, glass fiber impregnating agents, sealants, passivation films for semiconductors and solar cells, interlayer insulating films, protective films, printed circuit boards, color televisions, PC monitors, portable information terminals, color filters for CCD image sensors, electrode materials for plasma display panels, printing inks, dental compositions, resins for stereolithography, both liquid and dry films, micromachine parts, glass fiber cable coatings, and holographic recording materials.

[0235] The optical filter may be one which is required to change the spectral shape of light passing through it, and can be used for applications such as image display devices such as liquid crystal displays (LCD), plasma display panels (PDP), electroluminescence displays (ELD), cathode ray tube displays (CRT), CCD image sensors, CMOS sensors, fluorescent display tubes, and field emission displays, analytical devices, semiconductor device manufacturing, astronomical observation, optical communications, eyeglass lenses, and windows.

[0236] In the present invention, the composition is preferably for forming an optical filter, particularly for forming an optical filter for an image display device, and particularly for forming a color adjustment filter for an image display device. Here, the color adjustment filter can be one that adjusts the light of each color. More specifically, the color adjustment filter can be one that is used as an optical filter, and is arranged so as to overlap with a color filter in a planar view in order to further adjust the color of light transmitted through the color filter in which pixels of R (red), G (green), B (blue) and other colors are arranged, or one that is arranged so as to overlap with a light emitter of each color in a planar view in order to further adjust the color of light irradiated from the light emitter of each color, such as an electroluminescence element of each color. This is because the above-mentioned application makes it possible to more effectively exert the effect of being able to produce a cured product having excellent stability over time in light absorption properties. Among the above uses, when the dye contains a dye having a maximum absorption wavelength of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm, it is preferable that the use is for forming a color adjustment filter of an image display device having blue and green light emission, and when the dye contains a dye having a maximum absorption wavelength of 550 nm or more and 610 nm or less, it is also preferable that the use is for forming a color adjustment filter of an image display device arranged to overlap with a green pixel or a red pixel. Further, the composition can be used in the formation of members that require flexibility. Specifically, the composition can be preferably used for forming optical filters for flexible image display devices.

[0237] B. Cured product Next, the cured product of the present invention will be described. The cured product of the present invention is characterized by being a cured product of the above-mentioned composition.

[0238] According to the present invention, the cured product is obtained by curing the above-mentioned composition, and can be used, for example, as an optical filter having excellent stability over time in light absorption properties.

[0239] The cured product of the present invention uses the above-mentioned composition. The cured product of the present invention will now be described in detail. The composition may be the same as that described in the above section "A. Composition."

[0240] The above-mentioned cured product usually contains a polymer of a cationically polymerizable component.

[0241] The planar shape, thickness, and the like of the cured product can be appropriately set depending on the application of the cured product, and the like. The thickness can be, for example, 0.05 μm or more and 300 μm or less.

[0242] The method for producing the cured product is not particularly limited as long as it is a method that can form a cured product of the composition into a desired shape. Such a production method can be, for example, similar to the method described in the section "D. Production method of the cured product" below, and therefore, description thereof will be omitted here.

[0243] The uses of the cured product may be the same as those described in the section "A. Composition" above.

[0244] C. Optical Filters Next, the optical filter of the present invention will be described. The optical filter of the present invention is characterized by having a light absorbing layer containing the above-mentioned cured product.

[0245] According to the present invention, the light absorbing layer contains the above-mentioned cured product, and thus the light absorbing layer has excellent stability over time of light absorption.

[0246] The optical filter of the present invention has the above-mentioned light absorbing layer. The light absorbing layer contained in the optical filter of the present invention will be described in detail below.

[0247] 1. Light absorbing layer The light absorbing layer contains the above-mentioned cured product. The content of the cured product in the light absorbing layer is usually 100 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the light absorbing layer. That is, the light absorbing layer can be made of the cured product. The cured product may be similar to that described in the section "B. Cured product."

[0248] The shape, area, thickness, and other aspects of the light absorbing layer in plan view can be appropriately set depending on the application of the optical filter. The light absorbing layer may be formed by any known coating film forming method as long as it can form a light absorbing layer of the desired shape and thickness. The light absorbing layer may be formed by, for example, the same method as described in the section "D. Method for producing the cured product" below.

[0249] 2.Optical filters The optical filter may include only the light absorbing layer, or may include layers other than the light absorbing layer. Examples of the other layers include a transparent support, an undercoat layer, an anti-reflection layer, a hard coat layer, a lubricating layer, and an adhesive layer. The contents of each of these layers and the method of forming them may be those generally used in optical filters, and may be similar to those described in, for example, JP 2011-144280 A and WO 2016 / 158639 A. The light absorbing layer may be used, for example, as an adhesive layer for bonding between the transparent support and any of the other layers. In this case, the optical filter may be provided with a known separator film, such as a polyethylene terephthalate film, which easily adheres to the surface of the light absorbing layer serving as an adhesive layer.

[0250] When the optical filter is used for an image display device, it can usually be placed in front of the display. For example, there is no problem in directly attaching the optical filter to the surface of the display, and when a front panel or an electromagnetic wave shield is provided in front of the display, the optical filter may be attached to the front side (outside) or back side (display side) of the front panel or electromagnetic wave shield. The optical filter may be used as, for example, each member included in an image display device, such as an optical member such as a color filter or a polarizing plate. The optical filter may be directly laminated on each member included in the image display device.

[0251] D. Manufacturing method of the cured product Next, the method for producing the cured product of the present invention will be described. The method for producing a cured product of the present invention is characterized by comprising a step of curing the above-mentioned composition.

[0252] According to the present invention, the method for producing the cured product involves curing the composition, and therefore it is possible to obtain a cured product that can be used as, for example, an optical filter having excellent stability over time in light absorption properties.

[0253] The method for producing a cured product of the present invention includes the above-mentioned curing step. Each step of the method for producing a cured product of the present invention will be described in detail below. The composition may be the same as that described in the above section "A. Composition," and therefore a description thereof will be omitted here.

[0254] 1. Hardening process The curing step is a step of curing the above-mentioned composition. The composition may be cured by any method that can polymerize the cationically polymerizable components. Examples of the polymerization method include a method of irradiating the coating film of the composition with energy rays, a method of heating the coating film of the composition, etc. When the composition contains an acid generator, it is preferable to determine such a polymerization method according to the type of the acid generator. Specifically, when the composition contains a photoacid generator as the acid generator, a method of irradiating energy rays can be preferably used, and when the composition contains a thermal acid generator as the acid generator, a method of heating can be preferably used. This is because the polymerization of the cationic polymerizable component is easy.

[0255] In this step, the light source of the energy rays used for polymerization of the cationic polymerizable component can be electromagnetic wave energy having a wavelength of 2,000 angstroms to 7,000 angstroms, obtained from an ultra-high pressure mercury lamp, high pressure mercury lamp, medium pressure mercury lamp, low pressure mercury lamp, mercury vapor arc lamp, xenon arc lamp, carbon arc lamp, metal halide lamp, fluorescent lamp, tungsten lamp, excimer lamp, germicidal lamp, light emitting diode, CRT light source, etc., or high energy rays such as electron beam, X-ray, and radiation can be used. Preferably, an ultra-high pressure mercury lamp, mercury vapor arc lamp, carbon arc lamp, xenon arc lamp, light emitting diode, light emitting diode, etc. that emits light with a wavelength of 300 to 450 nm are used. This is because polymerization of the cationic polymerizable component is easy.

[0256] The amount of energy radiation to be applied is not particularly limited and can be appropriately determined depending on the composition of the composition. From the viewpoint of preventing deterioration of the components in the composition, the amount of energy radiation to be applied is set to 100 mJ / cm. 2 ~2,000mJ / cm 2 is preferred.

[0257] The method for heating the coating film of the composition in this step includes using a hot plate or other hot plate, an atmospheric oven, an inert gas oven, a vacuum oven, a hot air circulation oven, and the like. The heating temperature when heating the coating film is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoint of facilitating polymerization of the cationically polymerizable component, it is preferably 70° C. or higher and 200° C. or lower, and more preferably 90° C. or higher and 150° C. or lower. The heating time when the coating film is heated is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoint of improving productivity, it is preferably from 1 to 60 minutes, and more preferably from 1 to 30 minutes.

[0258] In this step, the curing method is preferably a method in which an energy ray irradiation method and a heating method are used in combination, and more specifically, it is preferable to carry out the energy ray irradiation method and the heating method in this order, because this allows the polymerization of the cationically polymerizable component to proceed efficiently.

[0259] 2.Other processes The above-mentioned manufacturing method may include other steps as necessary. Such a step may include a step of applying the composition before a step of curing the composition. The composition can be applied by any known method, such as by using a spin coater, a roll coater, a bar coater, a die coater, a curtain coater, various printing methods, or by immersion. The substrate can be appropriately selected depending on the application of the cured product, and examples thereof include soda glass, quartz glass, semiconductor substrates, metals, paper, plastics, and the like. After the cured product is formed on the substrate, it may be peeled off from the substrate and used, or it may be transferred from the substrate to another adherend and used.

[0260] 3.Cured product The cured product produced by the production method of the present invention and its uses may be the same as those described in the above section "B. Cured product."

[0261] The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment. The above-mentioned embodiment is merely an example, and anything that has substantially the same configuration as the technical idea described in the claims of the present invention and exhibits similar effects is included in the technical scope of the present invention. [0270] [evaluation] Various measurements were carried out according to the following methods.

[0271] Evaluation 1 and Evaluation 2: Change in transmittance before and after moist heat for the two maximum absorption wavelengths The compositions of the examples and comparative examples were used for measurement by the following methods.

[0272] (Method for measuring the change in transmittance before and after exposure to heat and humidity) (1) The above composition was applied to glass (Eagle XG, 0.7 mm) by bar coating. The thickness of the coating film was adjusted so that the transmittance at the maximum absorption wavelength of the following evaluation sample was about 4% to 7%. (2) The coating was then dried in an oven at 80°C for 5 minutes to remove the solvent. A high-pressure mercury lamp was used to irradiate ultraviolet light at 1500 mJ / cm 2 The sample was irradiated with light and cured to obtain an evaluation sample. The obtained evaluation sample was left in a thermo-hygrostat at 60°C and 90% humidity for 5 days, and the change in transmittance at 496.0 nm (λmax1, derived from the compound represented by formula (H-1)) (evaluation 1) and the change in transmittance at 596.0 nm (λmax2, derived from the compound represented by formula (H-2)) (evaluation 2) before and after the wet heat test were examined and evaluated according to the following criteria. The results are shown in Tables 1 and 2 above. The change in transmittance is a value shown by "(transmittance before test - transmittance after moist heat test) (%)". It can be determined that the smaller the change in transmittance, the more excellent the stability of light absorption over time.

[0273] (Evaluation criteria for rating 1) The change in transmittance is less than 1%. :+++ The change in transmittance is more than 1% and not more than 3%. :++ The change in transmittance is more than 3% and less than 5%. The change in transmittance is more than 5%.

[0274] (Evaluation criteria for rating 2) The change in transmittance is less than 1%. :+++ The change in transmittance is more than 1% and not more than 3%. :++ The change in transmittance is more than 3% and less than 5%. The change in transmittance is more than 5%.

[0275] From Tables 1 and 2, it was confirmed that the compositions of each Example in which two specific types of epoxy compounds were combined showed little change in transmittance before and after moist heat exposure at both wavelengths of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm, and 550 nm or more and 610 nm or less, compared to the compositions of each Comparative Example not having said combination, and thus gave cured products with excellent stability of light absorbency over time.

[0276] According to the formulation shown in Table 3 below, the dye, the radical polymerizable component, the radical polymerization initiator, the solvent and the additives were blended, and then the blend was passed through a 5 μm membrane filter to remove the insoluble matter, thereby obtaining compositions (Comparative Examples 6 and 7). The following materials were used as the radical polymerizable component and radical polymerization initiator. The other components were the same as those used in the above-mentioned Examples 1 to 15 and Comparative Examples 1 to 5. The blend amounts in the table indicate parts by mass of each component.

[0277] [Table 3]

[0279] Evaluation 3. Minimum transmittance and maximum absorption wavelength of the composition and its cured product Using the compositions of Example 1, Comparative Example 1, and Comparative Examples 6 and 7, evaluation samples before and after curing were prepared by the following method, and the transmission spectrum at 496.0 nm derived from the compound represented by formula (H-1) (pyrromethene dye) was measured using a visible ultraviolet spectrophotometer V-670 manufactured by JASCO Corporation. The results are shown in Table 4 below.

[0280] (Method of preparing evaluation samples before curing) (1) The above composition was applied to a substrate (Toyobo PET film A9300, 100 μm) by a bar coating method. The thickness of the coating film was adjusted so that the transmittance at the maximum absorption wavelength of the evaluation sample before curing was about 4-7%. (2) Next, the coating film was dried in an oven at 80° C. for 5 minutes to remove the solvent, and an evaluation sample before curing was obtained.

[0281] (Method of preparing samples for evaluation after curing) The evaluation sample before curing was exposed to ultraviolet light of 1500 mJ / cm using a high-pressure mercury lamp. 2 The coating was irradiated and cured to obtain a cured sample for evaluation.

[0282] [Table 4]

[0283] From the results in Table 4, it was confirmed that the compositions containing a cationically polymerizable component in Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 had less change in transmittance before and after curing, and gave cured products with excellent light absorbency in the wavelength region of 450 nm or more and less than 550 nm, compared to the compositions containing a radically polymerizable component in Comparative Examples 6 and 7.
