Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle seat, and more particularly to a vehicle seat equipped with an airbag device. [Background technology]

[0002] In recent years, vehicle seats have been provided with side airbags to provide protection to occupants in side impact situations by cushioning and distributing impact loads.

[0003] The side airbag installed in the seat back efficiently transmits the inflation energy of the airbag to the seam (tear line) of the surface layer (seat cover) and breaks the seam in a short time. To deploy the airbag without delay, the webbing is sewn together with the surface layer at the seam, and the base end on the opposite side of the seam is fixed to the back frame. However, since brackets and the like are used to fix the webbing to the back frame, the structure of the seat back becomes complicated, which is an issue. Therefore, for example, in the vehicle seat according to Patent Document 1, a hanging member is provided at the base end of the webbing, and the webbing is fixed using a clip (attaching member) provided in the hanging groove of the cushion pad. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0004] [Patent Document 1] JP 2015-003578 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] Even when the webbing is fixed to the hanging groove by a mounting member such as a clip, it is necessary to fix the mounting member firmly so that it does not come off the hanging groove when the side airbag deploys. However, if the mounting member is fixed too firmly, the input load to the mounting member when the airbag deploys becomes excessive, which may cause the mounting member to break.

[0006] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle seat that reduces the input load to a mounting member when an airbag is deployed. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] The above-mentioned problem is solved by a vehicle seat of the present invention, in which a vehicle seat including an airbag and an inflator includes a frame, a pad arranged on the frame, a skin covering the pad and having a tear line formed in a portion thereof that breaks when the airbag is deployed, a mounting member provided on the pad, a first webbing extending from the tear line toward the mounting member of the pad and having a smaller tensile elongation than the skin, a second webbing extending from a portion of the skin or from the first webbing and having a smaller tensile elongation than the skin, a first engaging member connected directly or indirectly to the first webbing and attached by engaging with the mounting member, and a second engaging member connected directly or indirectly to the second webbing and attached by engaging with an engaged portion provided in a position of the pad different from that of the mounting member.

[0008] The first webbing and the second webbing extending from the tear line are fixed together by a first engaging member that connects to the first webbing and engages with the mounting member, and a second engaging member that engages with an engaged portion provided at a position different from the mounting member. This reduces the input load to the mounting member when the airbag is deployed, thereby, for example, suppressing damage to the mounting member.

[0009] In the vehicle seat described above, the first webbing and the second webbing may each be formed from a single webbing. By forming the first webbing and the second webbing from a single webbing, an increase in the number of parts can be suppressed.

[0010] Furthermore, in the vehicle seat described above, the second engagement member may have a higher hardness or a higher heat resistance than the first engagement member. By supporting the second webbing with the second engaging member that is harder or more heat resistant than the first engaging member, the stretch of the skin can be more firmly restricted when the airbag is deployed.

[0011] Also, in the vehicle seat described above, the engaged portion may be provided so as to be located closer to the tear line than the mounting member. By positioning the engaged portion closer to the tear line side than the mounting member, it is possible to make the structure for mounting the second webbing to the pad more compact.

[0012] Furthermore, according to the vehicle seat described above, it is preferable that a plurality of the attachment members are provided in a height direction of the vehicle seat, and the second engagement member is disposed between adjacent ones of the attachment members. By disposing the second engagement member between adjacent mounting members, the first webbing and the second webbing can be more firmly supported when the airbag is deployed.

[0013] Furthermore, in the vehicle seat described above, the second engagement member is preferably disposed so as to avoid an area in which the first webbing is disposed. By arranging the second engagement member so as to avoid the arrangement area of the first webbing, the second engagement member can be made small.

[0014] Furthermore, in the above vehicle seat, a through hole for passing the second webbing through to the back surface side of the pad may be formed at the boundary between the bank portion and the seat surface portion of the pad. By forming a through hole for passing the second webbing through to the back side at the boundary between the bank portion and the seat portion, the through hole can also serve as a hole for allowing the occupant to sink into the pad if a large load is applied to the occupant during a rear-end collision.

[0015] Furthermore, according to the above-described vehicle seat, an assembly through-hole is formed near the mounting member, through which an arm that pulls in the upholstery when assembling the upholstery to the pad is inserted, and the second webbing may be routed around the back side of the pad through the assembly through-hole. By using the assembly through-holes used when assembling the cover to the pad as through-holes for wrapping the second webbing around the back side of the pad, the number of through-holes can be reduced, thereby preventing a decrease in the rigidity of the pad.

[0016] Furthermore, according to the vehicle seat of the present invention, the above-mentioned problem is solved by a vehicle seat equipped with an airbag and an inflator, comprising: a frame, a pad arranged on the frame and having a vertical hanging groove formed on a front side thereof extending in a height direction of the vehicle seat, a cover covering the pad and having a tear line formed in a part thereof that breaks when the airbag is deployed, an attachment member provided in the vertical hanging groove of the pad, a first webbing extending from the tear line toward the attachment member of the pad and having a smaller tensile elongation than the cover, a second webbing extending from a part of the cover or from the first webbing and having a smaller tensile elongation than the cover, a first engagement member connected directly or indirectly to the first webbing and attached by engaging with the attachment member, and a second engagement member connected directly or indirectly to the second webbing and attached by engaging with an engaged portion that is arranged in a position of the pad different in the seat width direction from the vertical hanging groove in which the attachment member is provided.

[0017] The first engaging member which engages with and is attached to the mounting member provided in the vertical hanging groove, and the second engaging member which engages with and is attached to an engaged portion which is positioned at a different position in the seat width direction from the vertical hanging groove, secure the first webbing extending from the tear line and a part of the epidermis or the second webbing extending from the first webbing. This reduces the input load to the mounting member when the airbag is deployed and suppresses damage to the mounting member. Furthermore, since the second engagement member can support the airbag at a position different from that of the first engagement member in the seat width direction, the stretching of the cover can be more firmly restricted when the airbag is deployed. Effect of the Invention

[0018] According to the present invention, the first webbing extending from the tear line and the second webbing extending from the first webbing are fixed by a first engaging member that connects to the first webbing and engages with the mounting member, and a second engaging member that engages with an engaged portion provided at a position different from the mounting member. This reduces the input load to the mounting member when the airbag is deployed, and suppresses, for example, damage to the mounting member. Furthermore, by forming the first webbing and the second webbing from a single webbing, an increase in the number of parts can be suppressed. Furthermore, by supporting the second webbing with the second engaging member that is harder or has higher heat resistance than the first engaging member, the stretch of the skin can be more firmly restricted when the airbag is deployed. Furthermore, by positioning the engaged portion closer to the tear line side than the mounting member, the structure for mounting the second webbing to the pad can be made compact. Furthermore, by disposing the second engagement member between the multiple mounting members, the first webbing and the second webbing can be more firmly supported when the airbag is deployed. Furthermore, by arranging the second engagement member so as to avoid the arrangement area of the first webbing, the second engagement member can be made small. In addition, by forming a through hole for passing the second webbing through to the back side at the boundary between the bank portion and the seat portion, the through hole can also serve as a hole for allowing the occupant to sink into the pad if a large load is applied to the occupant during a rear-end collision. In addition, by using the assembly through-holes used when assembling the cover to the pad as through-holes for wrapping the second webbing around the back side of the pad, the number of through-holes can be reduced, thereby suppressing a decrease in rigidity. In addition, the first engaging member extending from the tear line and the second engaging member extending from the first engaging member are secured by engaging with and attached to the mounting member provided in the vertical hanging groove, and the second engaging member is attached by engaging with an engaged portion located at a different position in the seat width direction from the vertical hanging groove. This reduces the input load to the mounting member when the airbag is deployed, and can suppress damage to the mounting member, for example. Furthermore, since the second engagement member can support the webbing at a position different in the seat width direction from that of the first engagement member, the stretching of the cover can be more firmly restricted when the airbag is deployed. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0020] The configuration of a vehicle seat according to a first example of the present embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings. However, the embodiment described below is an example for making the present invention easier to understand, and does not limit the present invention. In other words, the present invention can be modified and improved without departing from the spirit of the present invention, and of course, the present invention includes equivalents thereof.

[0021] In the following, a vehicle seat will be given as an example of a vehicle seat, and an example of the configuration will be described. However, the present invention is not limited to vehicle seats mounted on vehicles that run on ground and have wheels, such as automobiles and trains, and may also be seats mounted on aircraft, ships, and other vehicles that move on non-ground surfaces.

[0022] In the following description, the "front-rear direction" refers to the front-rear direction of the vehicle seat, which coincides with the direction of travel when the vehicle is traveling. The "seat width direction" refers to the width direction of the vehicle seat, which coincides with the left-right direction as seen by an occupant seated in the vehicle seat. The "up-down direction" refers to the up-down direction of the vehicle seat, which coincides with the vertical direction when the vehicle is traveling on a horizontal plane.

[0023] In addition, in the following description, when various directions are described with the word "seat" added, such as "seat width direction" and "seat height direction", this indicates the direction relative to the vehicle seat, and when various directions are described with the word "vehicle" added, such as "inside of the vehicle" and "outside of the vehicle", this indicates the direction relative to the vehicle. In addition, the shapes, positions, postures, etc. of each part of the vehicle seat described below will be described assuming that the vehicle seat is in a seatable state, unless otherwise specified.

[0024] <Basic configuration of the vehicle seat according to the present embodiment> The basic configuration of a vehicle seat according to a first example of the present embodiment (hereinafter, vehicle seat S) will be described with reference to Fig. 1. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the vehicle seat S as seen obliquely from the front. In Fig. 1, for convenience of illustration, a part of the vehicle seat S is illustrated with a cover 11 (also called a trim cover) removed.

[0025] The vehicle seat S is a seat that is placed on the vehicle body floor and in which a vehicle occupant sits. In this embodiment, the vehicle seat S is used as a front seat that corresponds to the front seat of the vehicle. However, the vehicle seat S is not limited to this, and may be a rear seat of the vehicle, and may also be used as a second-row middle seat or a third-row rear seat in a vehicle that has three rows of seats in the front-rear direction.

[0026] As shown in FIG. 1, the main components of a vehicle seat S are a seat cushion 1 that serves as a seating portion that supports the buttocks of a seated occupant, a seat back 2 that serves as a backrest that supports the back of the seated occupant, and a headrest 3 that is disposed on top of the seat back 2 and supports the head of the seated occupant.

[0027] The rear end of the seat cushion 1 is connected to the lower end of the seat back 2. The seat cushion 1 is constructed by placing a cushion pad 10 on a cushion frame, and further covering it with a skin 11. The seat back 2 is constructed by disposing the cushion pad 10 on a back frame, and further covering the cushion pad 10 with a skin 11. The seat cushion 1 and the seat back 2 are connected to each other with a reclining mechanism (not shown) sandwiched therebetween. A slide rail (not shown) is provided under the seat cushion 1, and the vehicle seat S is placed on the vehicle floor in a state where it can slide back and forth by the slide rail.

[0028] A seat frame F (frame) is provided inside the vehicle seat S. The seat frame F is mainly composed of a cushion frame that forms the framework of a seat cushion 1 and a back frame that forms the framework of a seat back 2.

[0029] The cushion pad 10 has a cushion portion formed of a foam, and the cushion portion is covered with a skin 11. As the foam, polypropylene bead foam, polyethylene bead foam, polypropylene foam, polyethylene foam, acrylonitrile-styrene foam, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer resin, urethane foam material, or a combination of these may be used. In this embodiment, the cushion pad 10 is a urethane pad molded by foam molding using a urethane foaming agent. The cover 11 is made of fabric, film, cloth, leather, sheet, or the like, and is attached so as to cover the cushion pad 10 while being stretched with a predetermined tension.

[0030] As shown in Fig. 3, the cover 11 covering the seat back 2 is composed of a seat covering portion 11a, a bank covering portion 11b, a side covering portion 11c, and a back covering portion 11d. The seat covering portion 11a and the bank covering portion 11b are connected by sewing at a seam 6 that is suspended in a vertical suspension groove 17a formed between the seat portion 2a and the bank portion 2b. The seam 6 forms a suspension line. The bank covering portion 11b and the side covering portions 11c are connected at the front end of the bank portion 2b by sewing at a seam 7. The seam 7 forms a tear line that breaks when the airbag 4a is deployed. The side covering portion 11c and the back covering portion 11d are connected at the back portion 2d by a line fastener 9. The back covering portion 11d of the seat back 2 connects the side covering portion 11c on the right side of the seat back 2 to a side covering portion (not shown) on the left side.

[0031] <Hanging groove 17> As shown in Fig. 2, a hanging groove 17 is formed in the cushion pad 10 of the seat back 2. The hanging groove 17 is composed of two vertical hanging grooves 17a extending in the seat vertical direction and a horizontal hanging groove 17b extending in the seat width direction. The horizontal hanging groove 17b connects the upper ends of the two vertical hanging grooves 17a, and the hanging groove 17 as a whole is formed to be Π-shaped when viewed from the front of the seat. Note that this arrangement of the hanging grooves 17 is just one example, and the horizontal hanging groove 17b may be arranged between the two vertical hanging grooves 17a, or the hanging groove 17 as a whole may be formed to be H-shaped when viewed from the front of the seat.

[0032] <Clip 15> A plurality of clips 15 (attachment members) are provided at predetermined intervals inside the vertical hanging groove 17a and the horizontal hanging groove 17b. The clips 15 are fixed by being partially embedded in the bottom of the vertical hanging groove 17a as shown in Fig. 3. The cross section of the clip 15 is formed in a substantially V-shape, and a holding portion 15a that holds an arrowhead-shaped tip portion 31a of the hanging member 31 (first engagement member) is provided at the top of the clip 15. The cross section of the clip 15 may be formed in a U-shape or a C-shape.

[0033] The clip 15 is made of resin, for example, polyacetal (POM) resin, polypropylene (PP) resin, polyamide (PA) resin, polycarbonate (PC) resin, etc. It is preferable to form the clip 15 from polyacetal (POM) resin, which has a relatively high strength.

[0034] 2 and 4, a through hole 16 is formed in the vertical hanging groove 17a between adjacent clips 15, the through hole 16 extending from the bottom of the vertical hanging groove 17a to the back surface 10b of the cushion pad 10. The through hole 16 allows a trim J hook (second engagement member) provided on the webbing 20, which will be described later, and the like to pass through to the back surface 10b of the cushion pad 10.

[0035] <Suspension member 31 (first engagement member)> As shown in Figs. 3 to 5A, a suspending member 31 (first engagement member) is attached to the cover 11 by sewing at a seam 6 (suspending line) between the seat covering portion 11a and the bank covering portion 11b. The suspending member 31 can be fixed to the clip 15 by inserting the tip portion 31a of the suspending member 31 into the holding portion 15a of the clip 15. The suspending member 31 is made of resin, for example, polypropylene (PP) resin.

[0036] The rear end 31b of the suspending member 31 is directly connected to the skin 11 at the stitching portion 6, as shown in Figs. 3 and 5A. However, as shown in Fig. 5B, the rear end 31b of the suspending member 31 may be indirectly connected to the skin 11 via the nonwoven fabric 35. In other words, one end of the nonwoven fabric 35 may be fixed to the skin 11 at the stitching portion 6 by sewing, and the other end of the nonwoven fabric 35 may be connected to the rear end 31b of the suspending member 31 by sewing.

[0037] <Airbag device 4> The airbag device 4 has a known structure and is illustrated typically in Figures 3 and 4. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the airbag device 4 is provided inside the bank portion 2b of the seat back 2, and is attached to a seat frame F and fixed in position. The airbag device 4 is configured to be stored in a space formed by a cushion pad 10. The airbag device 4 includes an airbag 4a, an inflator 4b that supplies gas to the airbag 4a, and a case 4c that covers the airbag 4a and the inflator 4b. 1 and 3, the airbag device 4 is fixed to the right side of the seat frame F (outside the vehicle seat S), and a slit 8 is formed in the cushion pad 10 on the right side of the airbag device 4. When the airbag 4a inflates from the airbag device 4, the cushion pad 10 breaks at the slit 8 and the skin 11 is cut open at the seam 7 (tear line), causing the airbag 4a to deploy outward.

[0038] <Rikifu 20> As shown in FIG. 2, the webbing 20 is disposed along the surface of the bank portion 2b at a portion corresponding to the airbag device 4, in other words, at a position overlapping the airbag device 4 when the seat back 2 is viewed from the front. The webbing 20 is also called an inner webbing, and is preferably formed from a material having a smaller tensile elongation than the skin 11. In other words, the webbing 20 is formed from a sheet-like member having less elasticity than the skin 11. Therefore, the webbing 20 can transmit the force applied when the airbag is deployed to the tear line, which is the breaking portion, and promote the deployment of the airbag. In the case of this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the webbing 20 is composed of two webbings disposed above and below. This is just an example, and the webbing 20 may be composed of one webbing or two or more webbings. Since the webbing 20 arranged above and below have the same configuration, only the webbing 20 arranged on the upper side will be described below.

[0039] 3, the webbing 20 is composed of a bank-side webbing 21 (first webbing) and a side webbing 23 arranged on the side 2c of the seat back 2. The bank-side webbing 21 is provided along the bank surface of the cushion pad 10 from the seam 7, which is the tear line, to the seam 6, which is the hanging line. The side webbing 23 is disposed on the side 2c of the seat back 2 along the side surface of the cushion pad 10 from the seam 7 to the back surface 2d.

[0040] 3 to 5, one end of the bank side webbing 21 is sewn together with the upholstery 11 and the hanging member 31 at the seam 6. The other end of the bank side webbing 21 is sewn together with the upholstery 11 and one end of the side webbing 23 at the seam 7. The other end of the side webbing 23 is sewn and fixed to the upholstery 11 in the vicinity of the connection with the back surface portion 2d. As shown in Fig. 5, the bank side webbing 21 and the hanging member 31 are directly connected by co-stitching. This is one example, and the bank side webbing 21 and the hanging member 31 may not be sewn together. That is, instead of directly hanging the bank side webbing 21 (first webbing) on the clip 15, the bank side webbing 21 and the hanging member 31 may be indirectly connected. The bank side webbing 21 is fixed by a trim J hook 32, which will be described later.

[0041] When the airbag 4a is inflated by the airbag device 4, the inflation energy of the airbag 4a is transmitted to the bank side webbing 21 and the side webbing 23 via the cushion pad 10. When the bank side webbing 21 and the side webbing 23 receive the inflation energy of the airbag 4a, the inflation energy of the airbag 4a is concentrated on the stitching thread of the stitching portion 7 (tear line), and the stitching thread is cut. As a result, the bank side webbing 21 and the side webbing 23 are separated at the stitching portion 7, the cushion pad 10 is broken at the slit 8, and the airbag 4a is deployed outward.

[0042] <Auxiliary Weaving Cloth 22 (Second Weaving Cloth) and Trim J Hook 32 (Second Engagement Member)> The following describes the characteristic configuration of this embodiment, ie, the auxiliary webbing 22 serving as the second webbing and the trim J hook 32 provided as the second engagement member. As described above, between adjacent clips 15 arranged in the vertical hanging groove 17a, a through hole 16 is formed extending from the bottom of the vertical hanging groove 17a to the rear surface 10b of the cushion pad 10. Near the opening 16a of the through hole 16 on the rear surface 10b of the cushion pad 10, an insert wire 13 is provided to form an engaged portion 14, as shown in FIG.

[0043] 4 and 5A, there is provided an auxiliary force cloth 22 (second force cloth) extending from the bank-side force cloth 21. More specifically, the auxiliary force cloth 22 is provided so as to extend from the end of the bank-side force cloth 21 sewn to the skin 11 at the seam 6 toward the rear surface 10b of the cushion pad 10, in other words, toward the back surface of the seat back 2. A trim J hook 32 (second engagement member) is connected to the tip of the auxiliary force cloth 22 by sewing.

[0044] The trim J hook 32 is passed through the through hole 16 and hooked onto the insert wire 13 of the engaged portion 14 , thereby fixing the webbing 20 and the covering 11 to the cushion pad 10 . 5A shows that the bank side force cloth 21 and the suspender cord of the hanging member 31 are directly sewn together, but as described above, the bank side force cloth 21 and the hanging member 31 do not have to be sewn together, and the bank side force cloth 21 does not have to be suspended by the clip 15 by the hanging member 31. In other words, the trim J hook 32 may be fixed to the insert wire 13 of the engaged portion 14, so that the bank side force cloth 21 is suspended only by the engaged portion 14 via the auxiliary force cloth 22.

[0045] 2, the size D1 of the through hole 16 is formed to be larger than the longitudinal length D0 of the clip 15. By making the size D1 of the through hole 16 larger, it becomes easier to pass the trim J hook 32 and the auxiliary force cloth 22 through to the back surface 10b of the cushion pad 10.

[0046] The trim J hook 32 is made of polypropylene (PP) resin, like the suspending member 31. The trim J hook 32 may be formed to have a higher hardness or higher heat resistance than the suspending member 31. By changing the detailed composition of the resin material and varying the hardness and heat resistance, it is possible to change the hardness and heat resistance even of polypropylene resin. By making the trim J hook 32 harder or more heat resistant than the suspending member 31, the auxiliary webbing 22 (second webbing) can be supported more strongly, and therefore the stretch of the skin 11 can be more firmly restricted when the airbag 4a is deployed. In other words, the skin 11 and the webbing 20 are less likely to come off the clip 15 when the airbag is deployed, and the airbag 4a can be deployed more safely.

[0047] 4, the length H1 of the trim J hook 32 in the vertical direction may be made greater than the length H0 of the suspending member 31, and the material may be made harder. For example, by making the trim J hook 32 out of a metal such as iron or aluminum, the webbing 20 can be fixed more firmly.

[0048] In this embodiment, the insert wire 13 of the engaged portion 14 is provided so as to be located closer to the tear line (sewn portion 7) than the clip 15. In other words, the insert wire 13 is provided on the side of the opening 16a located outward from the clip 15 in the seat width direction. By arranging the insert wire 13 in this manner, it is possible to make the structure for attaching the auxiliary force cloth 22 more compact. The insert wire 13 may be disposed on the inner side of the through hole 16 in the sheet width direction.

[0049] In addition, the trim J hook 32 (second engagement member) is preferably disposed between the clips 15 (mounting members) disposed adjacent to each other vertically in the vertical hanging groove 17a, so that the bank side webbing 21 can be more firmly supported when the airbag is deployed. As shown in FIG. 4, the trim J hook 32 is disposed so as to avoid the region where the bank side webbing 21 (first webbing) is disposed, so that the trim J hook 32 can be formed small.

[0050] In addition, as disclosed in, for example, JP 2015-003578 A, by forming a slit in the hanging groove 17 formed in the cushion pad 10, the amount of sinking of the occupant during a vehicle rear collision can be improved. The through hole 16 of the present embodiment through which the trim J hook 32 passes may be configured to also serve as a slit for allowing the occupant to sink into the cushion pad 10 when a large load is applied to the occupant during a vehicle rear-end collision. That is, the slit of the vertical hanging groove 17a formed to increase the amount of sinking may be used as the through hole 16 through which the trim J hook 32 passes. Since it is not necessary to form a separate through hole 16 for passing the trim J hook 32, a decrease in rigidity of the cushion pad 10 can be suppressed.

[0051] Also, as disclosed in U.S. Patent No. 8,245,377, for example, a device for automatically assembling an upholstery 11 to a cushion pad 10 is known. A vehicle seat assembled by this device is provided with a clip 15 at a predetermined position of the hanging groove, and an assembly through-hole is formed around the clip 15. The device is provided with an arm that pulls the upholstery into the hanging groove, and the arm grips the upholstery arranged on the front surface from the rear surface of the cushion pad through the assembly through-hole, and then pulls it into the rear surface of the cushion pad, thereby fixing the upholstery to the clip.

[0052] By using the assembly through hole for passing the arm as the through hole 16 for passing the trim J hook 32 of this embodiment, it becomes unnecessary to provide a separate through hole. Also, by forming the through hole larger than the clip, it becomes easier to pass the webbing through. By making the through hole 16 larger, it becomes an issue to improve the support rigidity of the clip 15 by the cushion pad 10. To address this issue, by making the heights of the through hole 16 and the insert wire 13 the same in the height direction of the cushion pad 10, the cushion pad 10 can be reinforced by the insert wire 13, and the support rigidity of the clip 15 can be improved.

[0053] <Modification of the first example> A seat back 2' which is a modified example of the first example will be described with reference to Fig. 6. In the seat back 2 of the first example, the bank-side force cloth 21 and the auxiliary force cloth 22 are configured as a single force cloth, but in the modified example, the bank-side force cloth 21' and the auxiliary force cloth 22' are separate members, and the rear end of the auxiliary force cloth 22' and the end of the bank-side force cloth 21' are attached by sewing at the seam 6. A trim J hook 32 is attached by sewing to the tip of the auxiliary force cloth 22' which is a separate member. As with the seat back 2 of the first example, the trim J hook 32 is passed through the through hole 16 and hooked onto the insert wire 13 of the engaged portion 14A provided around the opening 16a to be fixed.

[0054] By making the bank portion side strength cloth 21' and the auxiliary strength cloth 22' separate members, the auxiliary strength cloth 22' can be provided later. Also, the auxiliary strength cloth 22' may be formed from a material different from that of the bank portion side strength cloth 21', and thus the material and strength of the auxiliary strength cloth 22' may be different from that of the bank portion side strength cloth 21'. Although the auxiliary force cloth 22' shown in FIG. 6 is connected to the end of the bank side force cloth 21', the auxiliary force cloth 22' may be connected to a part of the skin 11, for example, a sewn part, by sewing.

[0055] In the first example and the first modified example, the engaged portion 14 is provided in a location where the clip 15 does not exist, i.e., in a location different from the clip 15 (the back surface 10b of the cushion pad 10), and the trim J hook 32 sewn to the webbing 20' is engaged with and fixed to the insert wire 13. The clip 15 and the engaged portion 14 secure the bank side force cloths 21, 21' extending from the tear line and the auxiliary force cloths 22, 22', thereby reducing the input load to the clip 15 when the airbag is deployed, thereby suppressing damage to the clip 15, for example.

[0056] <Second Example> A vehicle seat SA of the second example will be described with reference to Figures 7 and 8. The second example also has an auxiliary force cloth 22A extending from an end of the bank-side force cloth 21A of the vehicle seat SA, but is different in that a plate-shaped trim plate 33 is used instead of the trim J hook 32 which is the second engagement member. The vehicle seat SA has the same configuration as the vehicle seat S of the first example except for the configuration of the trim plate 33, so detailed description thereof will be omitted and the configuration of the trim plate 33 which is the second engagement member will be described.

[0057] The trim plate 33 is configured so as to be able to be fixed to the engaged portion 14A around the opening 16a of the through hole 16. More specifically, the trim plate 33 is attached to the end portion of the auxiliary force cloth 22A so as to form a substantial T-shape together with the auxiliary force cloth 22A, as shown in Fig. 6. The auxiliary force cloth 22A covers the front surface of the trim plate 33, and is also folded back to the back surface and attached to the center of the back surface.

[0058] The trim plate 33 is fixed to the auxiliary force cloth 22A by sewing. The trim plate 33 may be fixed to the auxiliary force cloth 22A by adhesive, double-sided tape, or the like. The trim plate 33 can rotate about its central portion.

[0059] 7, the thickness P of the trim plate 33 is smaller than the width L0 of the opening 16a of the through hole 16, and the width L1 of the trim plate 33 is larger than the width L0 of the through hole 16. Therefore, when assembling, the trim plate 33 is folded and inserted into the through hole 16, and then removed to the back side, and the trim plate 33 is rotated and spread out, whereby the trim plate 33 is engaged with the engaged portion 14A around the opening 16a, and prevented from coming off. This allows the webbing 20A to be fixed to the cushion pad 10.

[0060] The engaged portion 14 is provided in a location where the clip 15 does not exist, that is, in a position different from the clip 15 (the rear surface 10b of the cushion pad 10), and the trim plate 33 is abutted against the engaged portion 14 and fixed.

[0061] The trim plate 33 is a rectangular plate made of hard resin, and in this embodiment, is made of polypropylene (PP) resin, similar to the trim J hook 32. The trim plate 33 may be formed to have a higher hardness or higher heat resistance than the hanging member 31. By changing the detailed composition of the resin material and varying the hardness and heat resistance, it is possible to change the hardness and heat resistance even in the case of polypropylene resin.

[0062] The clip 15 and the engaged portion 14A secure the bank side force cloth 21A extending from the tear line (seamed portion 7) and the auxiliary force cloth 22A, thereby reducing the input load to the clip 15 when the airbag is deployed, thereby suppressing damage to the clip 15, for example. In addition, while the first example vehicle seat S had a separate insert wire 13 for fixing, the configuration of the second example vehicle seat SA allows the webbing 20A to be fixed without providing an insert wire 13 around the opening.

[0063] A vehicle seat SA' which is a modified example of the second example will be described with reference to Fig. 9. In the modified example of the second example, similar to the modified example of the first example shown in Fig. 6, the bank-side force cloth 21A' and the auxiliary force cloth 22A' are configured as separate members. A trim plate 33 is attached by sewing to the auxiliary force cloth 22A' which is a separate member, and the trim plate 33 can be rotated at the center thereof and folded.

[0064] Therefore, when attaching the bank side webbing 21A', the trim plate 33 of the auxiliary webbing 22A' is inserted into the through hole 16 in a folded state, and after being removed from the opening 16a of the through hole 16, the trim plate 33 is rotated to spread out, so that it can be hooked on the engaged portion 14A around the opening 16a to prevent it from coming off. This allows the webbing 20A' and the skin 11 to be fixed.

[0065] The engaged portion 14A is provided in a location where the clip 15 is not present, i.e., in a location separate from the clip 15 (the back surface 10b of the cushion pad 10), and engages the trim plate 33. The clip 15 and the engaged portion 14A secure the bank side force cloth 21A' extending from the tear line and the auxiliary force cloth 22A', so that the input load of the clip 15 is reduced when the airbag is deployed, and damage to the clip 15 is suppressed.

[0066] <Manufacturing method> Here, a manufacturing method of the seat backs 2, 2A will be described. First, a urethane cushion pad 10 is placed over the seat frame F with the airbag device 4 attached. Next, a cover 11 is placed over the surface of the cushion pad 10, and a hanging member 31 attached to the seam 6 between the cover 11 and the webbing 20, 20A is fixed to a clip 15. At this time, a trim J hook 32 attached to the auxiliary webbing 22 of the webbing 20 or a trim plate 33 of the auxiliary webbing 22A is inserted into the through hole 16. At this time, the trim J hook 32 and the trim plate 33 may be left as they are without being passed through the through hole 16.

[0067] Next, the cushion pad 10 is turned over, and the trim J hook 32 or the trim plate 33 inserted into the through hole 16 or on the front side of the cushion pad 10 is pulled to the back side of the cushion pad 10, and the trim J hook 32 is hooked onto the insert wire 13 (engaged portion 14) or the trim plate 33 is hooked onto the engaged portion 14A, thereby fixing the skin 11 and the bank side force fabrics 21, 21A. Next, the side covering portion 11c and the side webbing 23 of the cover 11 are placed over the back surface side of the cushion pad 10, and the side covering portion 11c and the back surface covering portion 11d are connected by the wire fasteners 9. This completes the seat back 2, 2A.

[0068] <Example 3> Next, a vehicle seat SB according to a third example of the present embodiment will be described. Fig. 10 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of a seat back 2B of the vehicle seat SB according to the third example. In the seat backs 2, 2A of the vehicle seats S, SA of the first and second examples, a through hole 16 is formed in the vertical hanging groove 17a, and the trim J hook 32 or the trim plate 33 is passed through the through hole 16 to engage with the engaged portion 14, 14A. The difference is that the vertical hanging groove 17a does not have a through hole 16, but instead has an engaged portion 14B formed on the side of the vertical hanging groove 17a as shown in Figure 10. The other configurations are similar, so detailed explanations will be omitted.

[0069] In the webbing 20B of the third example, a trim J hook 32B is provided at the tip of the auxiliary webbing 22B (second webbing) in the same manner as in the webbing 20 of the first example. The trim J hook 32B is attached to the auxiliary webbing 22B by sewing. The trim J hook 32B may be attached directly to the bank side webbing 21B.

[0070] As described above, the insert wire 13B is embedded as the engaged portion 14B on the side of the vertical hanging groove 17a. The bank side force cloth 21B can be fixed by hooking the trim J hook 32B attached to the tip of the auxiliary force cloth 22B onto the insert wire 13B.

[0071] Moreover, the trim J hook 32B is made of polypropylene resin, but is desirably formed to have a higher hardness or heat resistance than the hanging member 31 made of polypropylene.

[0072] The engaged portion 14B is provided at a location (a side portion of the vertical hanging groove 17a) separate from the clip 15, and is fixed by engaging with the trim J hook 32B. Therefore, when the airbag is deployed, the input load of the clip 15 is reduced, and damage to the clip 15 is suppressed. In addition, while a through hole 16 was formed in the vertical hanging groove 17a in the seat backs 2 and 2A of the first and second examples, the webbing 20B can be fixed in place in the seat back 2B of the third example without forming a through hole 16.

[0073] <Modification of the third example> A description will now be given of a modified example of the third embodiment. Fig. 11 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of a seat back 2B' of a vehicle seat SB' which is a modified example of the third embodiment. As in the third example of FIG. 10, no through hole 16 is formed in the vertical hanging groove 17a, and an engaged portion 14B' is formed by embedding an insert wire 13B' in the side portion of the vertical hanging groove 17a.

[0074] In the seat back 2B of the third example, a trim J hook 32B is attached to the auxiliary force cloth 22B at a position in the seat width direction where the clip 15 is not provided, and is hooked onto the insert wire 13B, which is the engaged portion 14B. In a modified example of the third example, as shown in Fig. 11, an insert wire 13B' is embedded in the cushion pad 10 at the same height in the seat width direction as the clip 15 is provided, forming the engaged portion 14B'.

[0075] Further, a trim J hook 32B' is attached by sewing to the auxiliary force cloth 22B' at the same height in the seat up-down direction as the clip 15. The trim J hook 32 is then hooked onto the engaged portion 14B' and fixed thereto. Since the webbing 20B is fixed by hooking the trim J hook 32B' on the engaged portion 14B' at the same height as the clip 15 to which the suspending member 31 is attached, it is possible to assist in holding the clip 15 when the airbag 4a is deployed. In other words, since the trim J hook 32B' is engaged with the engaged portion 14B' when the airbag 4a is deployed, the input load to the clip 15 is reduced, and damage to the clip 15, etc., such as the clip 15 coming off the cushion pad 10 or the suspending member 31 coming off the clip 15, can be suppressed.

[0076] Furthermore, similar to the seat back 2B of the third example, an engagement portion 14B' for engaging with the trim J hook is provided on the side of the vertical hanging groove 17a, so that the webbing 20B can be fixed without forming a through hole 16 as in the seat backs 2, 2A of the first and second examples.

[0077] <Manufacturing method> Here, a manufacturing method of the seat backs 2B, 2B' is described. First, the seat frame F to which the airbag device 4 is attached is covered with a urethane cushion pad 10. Next, the surface of the cushion pad 10 is covered with the cover 11, and the hanging member 31 attached to the seam 6 between the cover 11 and the webbing 20B is fixed to the clip 15. At this time, the trim J hooks 32B, 32B' attached to the auxiliary webbing 22B of the webbing 20 are hooked onto the insert wires 13B of the engaged portions 14B, 14B' provided on the sides of the vertical hanging groove 17a, and the bank side webbing 21B, 21B' is fixed.

[0078] Next, the cushion pad 10 is turned over, and the side covering portion 11c of the skin 11 and the side webbing 23 connected thereto are placed over the sides of the cushion pad 10, and the side webbing 23 and the back covering portion 11d are connected to each other with the line fasteners 9 on the back surface of the cushion pad 10. This completes the seat backs 2B and 2B'.

[0079] <Example 4> A vehicle seat SC of the fourth example will be described with reference to Fig. 12. In the vehicle seats S to SB of the first to third examples, the trim J hook 32 or the trim plate 33 is engaged with the engaged portions 14 to 14B provided in the vertical hanging groove 17a or the through holes 16 formed in the vertical hanging groove 17a. In the fourth example, an engaged portion 14C is provided in a slit 8 formed in a side portion of a seat back 2C, instead of in a hanging groove 17. Also, an auxiliary force cloth 22C (second force cloth) is provided extending from the stitched portion 7 along the side portion of the cushion pad 10, and a trim plate 33C is attached to the tip of the auxiliary force cloth 22C.

[0080] The trim plate 33C is a hard resin member formed into a plate shape, and the trim plate 33C is attached to the tip of the auxiliary force cloth 22C by sewing. 12, a recess 34 that serves as the engaged portion 14C is formed on the front side of the slit 8. The trim plate 33C is inserted from the opening of the slit 8, and the trim plate 33C is inserted into the recess 34, whereby the end of the auxiliary force cloth 22C is engaged and fixed.

[0081] The recess 34, which is the engaged portion 14C, may be formed at a position that is approximately the same height as the clip 15 in the seat height direction, as shown in Fig. 12. Alternatively, the recess 34 may be formed at a position that is different in height from the clip 15.

[0082] Moreover, the trim plate 33C is made of polypropylene resin, but is desirably formed to have a higher hardness or heat resistance than the polypropylene resin hanging member 31. Moreover, the trim plate 33C may be made of metal.

[0083] Since the webbing 20C is fixed using a trim plate 33C at a position other than the clip 15 (the side of the seat back 2C), the input load to the clip 15 when the airbag is deployed can be reduced, preventing damage to the clip 15 and suppressing the suspending member 31 from coming off the clip 15. Furthermore, by forming the trim plate 33C so as to have a higher hardness or heat resistance than the suspending member 31, the stretching of the skin 11 can be more firmly restricted when the airbag 4a is deployed. The bank side webbing 21C (first webbing) and the auxiliary webbing 22C may be formed as a single webbing. The side side webbing 23 and the auxiliary webbing 22C may be formed as a single webbing. This can prevent an increase in the number of parts.

[0084] <Example 5> A vehicle seat SD according to a fifth example of the present embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. 13 to 15. In the vehicle seats S to SC according to the first to fourth examples, the trim J hook 32 or the trim plate 33 is engaged with the engaged portion 14 formed on the bank portion 2b of the seat back 2, but in the seat back 2D of the vehicle seat SD according to the fifth example, an engaged portion 14D formed on the seat surface portion 2a is used. The engaged portion 14D formed on the seat surface portion 2a will be described below. Since the configuration of the seat back 2 according to the first example is the same as that of the seat back 2 according to the first example except for the configuration of the seat surface portion 2a and the configuration of the engaged portion 14D, detailed description will be omitted.

[0085] As shown in Fig. 13, the seat back 2D of the vehicle seat SD is formed with two vertical hanging grooves 17a extending in the height direction (up and down direction) of the cushion pad 10D, and a vertical hanging groove 17c disposed between them in the center of the seat back 2. Also, a horizontal hanging groove 17b extending in the horizontal direction (seat width direction) is formed.

[0086] 14, multiple clips 15 are arranged in the vertical hanging groove 17a and the horizontal hanging groove 17b to hang up the skin 11. A clip 15D is also arranged in the vertical hanging groove 17c arranged in the center. However, the clip 15D in the vertical hanging groove 17c is arranged at a different height compared to the positions of the clips 15 arranged in the left and right vertical hanging grooves 17a.

[0087] 15, in order to suspend the upholstery 11 between the seat surface 2a and the bank 2b of the seat back 2D, a suspending member 31D is attached to the upholstery 11 by sewing, and the suspending member 31D is held by a clip 15D fixed to the bottom of the vertical suspending groove 17c. The bank side webbing 21D extends along the surface of the bank 2b from the suspending line to the tear line, and both ends are fixed by sewing.

[0088] Additionally, auxiliary force cloth 22D (second force cloth) extends from bank portion side force cloth 21D and is disposed along the surface of seat portion 2a from seam 6 between seat portion 2a and bank portion 2b to seam 6D, which is the hanging line in the center of seat portion 2a. The outer end of auxiliary force cloth 22D is fixed by sewing to part of skin 11, hanging member 31, and bank portion side force cloth 21D at seam 6. The inner end of auxiliary force cloth 22D is fixed by sewing to part of skin 11 and hanging member 31D at seam 6D.

[0089] As described above, the clip 15D is attached to the bottom of the vertical hanging groove 17c provided in the center of the seat surface portion 2a, and the tip of the hanging member 31D can be held by the holding portion 15Da of the clip 15D. The clip 15D functions as the engaged portion 14D, and the hanging member 31D functions as the second engaging member. The webbing 20D is fixed to the cushion pad 10 by inserting the tip portion 31a of the hanging member 31D into the holding portion 15Da of the clip 15D.

[0090] 14, in the seat back 2D of the fifth example, a clip 15D is provided as an engaged portion 14D at a different position (the center of the seat surface portion 2a) in the seat width direction from the clip 15 (attaching member). A hanging member 31D (second engaging member) is provided to engage with the clip 15D, and the hanging member 31D fixes the auxiliary force cloth 22D (second force cloth) extending from the bank side force cloth 21D, thereby reducing the input load to the clip 15 when the airbag is deployed and suppressing damage to the clip 15.

[0091] Although both clips 15 and 15D are made of polyacetal (POM) resin, the hardness and heat resistance may be changed by changing the specific composition of the polyacetal resin. For example, clip 15D may be made harder or more heat resistant than clip 15. The hanging members 31 and 31D are made of polypropylene (PP) resin, but the specific composition of the polypropylene resin may be changed to change the hardness or heat resistance. For example, the hanging member 31D arranged in the center of the seating surface 2a may be made harder or more heat resistant than the hanging member 31 arranged between the seating surface 2a and the bank portion 2b. The hanging member 31D may be made of a metal such as aluminum or iron.

[0092] In the fifth example, the bank side force cloth 21 and the auxiliary force cloth 22D are formed as separate members and connected by sewing, but the bank side force cloth 21 and the auxiliary force cloth 22D may be formed from a single weave cloth. By forming them from a single weave cloth, the number of parts can be reduced. Furthermore, the suspending member 31 and the bank side webbing 21D are directly connected by sewing at the seam 6 of the suspending line, but may be indirectly connected via another member such as a nonwoven fabric.

[0093] In addition, the suspending member 31D and the auxiliary force cloth 22D are directly connected by sewing at the seam 6D of the central suspending line, but may be indirectly connected via another member such as a nonwoven fabric or a suspender cord. In addition, in the fifth example, the auxiliary force cloth 22D was fixed to the seat portion 2a using a hanging member 31D connected to the auxiliary force cloth 22D, but as in the first or second example, the force cloth 20D may be fixed by attaching a trim J hook or a trim plate to the auxiliary force cloth 22D and forming a corresponding engaged portion 14 on the seat portion 2a.

[0094] Furthermore, the clip 15 arranged in the vertical hanging groove 17a and the clip 15D arranged in the vertical hanging groove 17c arranged in the center may be arranged at the same height in the up-down direction.

[0095] <Manufacturing method> A method of manufacturing the seat back 2D of the vehicle seat SD shown in the fifth embodiment will be described below. A urethane cushion pad 10 is placed over the seat frame F with the airbag device 4 attached thereto. Next, the surface of the cushion pad 10 is covered with the skin 11, and the suspending member 31 attached to the sewn portion 6 between the skin 11 and the webbing 20 is fixed to the clip 15. At this time, a hanging member 31D provided on the opposite side of the hanging member 31 and attached to the auxiliary force cloth 22 is attached to a clip 15D in the hanging groove located in the center. Next, the cushion pad 10 is turned over, and the side covering portion 11c and the side webbing 23 of the skin 11 are placed over the rear surface side of the cushion pad 10, and the side covering portion 11c and the rear surface covering portion 11d are joined by the wire fasteners 9.
