Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a resin composition and a cured resin. [Background technology]

[0002] In recent years, a method of stereolithography using a photocurable resin composition based on data input into a three-dimensional CAD system has been attracting attention.

[0003] A known optical three-dimensional modeling technique is a method for optical three-dimensional modeling, which is characterized by repeating a process of supplying light energy to a photocurable resin composition to harden it into a thin layer, supplying further photocurable resin composition on top of the photocurable resin composition, and then irradiating the composition with light to harden the composition into a thin layer. The optical three-dimensional modeling method has attracted much attention in recent years because it is capable of producing a desired three-dimensional object easily and in a relatively short time, even if the object has a fairly complex shape.

[0004] Photocurable resin compositions used in optical three-dimensional modeling are required to have low viscosity and excellent handleability during photomodeling, as well as high curing sensitivity to active energy rays so that a three-dimensional object can be produced in a short light irradiation time.

[0005] The photocurable resin compositions used in the optical three-dimensional modeling method include those containing, as the main component, a photopolymerizable compound such as a photopolymerizable modified urethane (meth)acrylate compound, an oligoester acrylate compound, an epoxy acrylate compound, an epoxy compound, a polyimide compound, an aminoalkyd compound, or a vinyl ether compound.

[0006] Patent Document 1 describes a resin composition that contains a urethane-type acrylic compound, a radically polymerizable compound, and a photopolymerization initiator, in which the mass ratio of the acrylic urethane compound to the radically polymerizable compound is 80:20 to 10:90 (claims). [0012] The term "(meth)acryloyloxy group" is a general term for an acryloyloxy group and a methacryloyloxy group. "(Meth)acrylate" is a general term for acrylate and methacrylate. The "index" in the reaction of an isocyanate group-containing compound with a hydroxyl group-containing compound is the value obtained by dividing the number of moles of isocyanate groups in the isocyanate group-containing compound by the number of moles of hydroxyl groups in the hydroxyl group-containing compound, and multiplying the result by 100. The hydroxyl value of the hydroxyl-containing compound is obtained by measurement in accordance with JIS K 1557: 2007. The hydroxyl value-based molecular weight is a value calculated by applying the hydroxyl value to the formula "56,100 / (hydroxyl value)×(number of active hydrogen atoms in the initiator)".

[0013] The number average molecular weight is the polystyrene-equivalent molecular weight obtained by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) using a calibration curve prepared using standard polystyrene samples of known molecular weight. The molecular weight distribution is the value obtained by dividing the mass average molecular weight (polystyrene-equivalent molecular weight obtained by GPC in the same way as the number average molecular weight) by the number average molecular weight. In addition, if a peak of unreacted low molecular weight components (monomers, etc.) appears in the GPC measurement, the peak is excluded to obtain the number average molecular weight. The number average molecular weight of a compound having no molecular weight distribution can be replaced with the molecular weight represented by the formula weight obtained based on the chemical formula.

[0014] [Resin composition] The resin composition of the present invention contains a first monomer described below and a second monomer described below.

[0015] <First Monomer> The first monomer is at least one selected from the group consisting of the reaction product of the following (i) (hereinafter sometimes referred to as "monomer 1-1"), the reaction product of the following (ii) (hereinafter sometimes referred to as "monomer 1-2"), and the reaction product of the following (iii) (hereinafter sometimes referred to as "monomer 1-3"). (i) A reaction product of an equimolar amount of a polyether monol and a compound having a (meth)acryloyloxy group, the compound having a (meth)acryloyloxy group having one isocyanate group in one molecule and one or two (meth)acryloyloxy groups in one molecule. (ii) A reaction product of an equimolar amount of a polyether monol, a diisocyanate, and a compound having a (meth)acryloyloxy group, wherein the compound having a (meth)acryloyloxy group has one group reactive with an isocyanate group in one molecule, and has one or two (meth)acryloyloxy groups in one molecule. (iii) An equimolar reaction product of a polyether polyol and a compound having a (meth)acryloyloxy group, wherein the compound having a (meth)acryloyloxy group has one isocyanate group per molecule and one or two (meth)acryloyloxy groups per molecule. The first monomer preferably contains at least the reaction product of (i) because the viscosity of the resulting curable composition is likely to be low and the cure shrinkage rate of the cured product is likely to be low.

[0016] The number average molecular weight of the first monomer is preferably 3,000 to 30,000, more preferably 4,000 to 20,000, and even more preferably 5,000 to 17,000. When the number average molecular weight is 3,000 or more, the hardness of the cured resin product becomes lower, and when it is 30,000 or less, the viscosity becomes lower.

[0021] [ka]

[0022] In formula (11), R 101 -R 103 -OR 104 R is a monovalent group represented by 102 is a hydrogen atom or -R 105 -OR 106 R is a monovalent group represented by 103 , R 105 are each independently a linear or branched alkylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R 104 , R 106 R is independently a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms. 101 and R 102 may be the same or different from each other.

[0023] R 103 , R 105 The alkylene groups are each independently preferably a methylene group, an ethylene group, an n-propylene group, or an isopropylene group, more preferably a methylene group or an ethylene group, and further preferably a methylene group. R 104 , R 106 Each of the carbon atoms independently preferably has 1 to 14, more preferably has 1 to 12, and further preferably has 2 to 10.

[0024] R 104 , R 106 When R is a linear alkyl group, examples of the alkyl group include methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, n-butyl, n-octyl, n-decyl, lauryl, cetyl, and stearyl groups, and preferably methyl, ethyl, and n-butyl groups. 104 , R 106 When is a branched alkyl group, the hydrogen atoms in the linear alkyl group (excluding the hydrogen atoms bonded to the terminal carbon) are substituted with alkyl groups. Examples of the alkyl groups that are substituted include methyl and ethyl groups. As the branched alkyl group, 2-ethylhexyl is preferred.

[0025] The monomer a is preferably a monomer represented by the formula (12). [ka]

[0027] Examples of the monomer represented by formula (12) include methyl glycidyl ether, butyl glycidyl ether, 2-ethylhexyl glycidyl ether, lauryl glycidyl ether, and hexyl glycidyl ether. Of these, butyl glycidyl ether and 2-ethylhexyl glycidyl ether are preferred because they result in a cured product of the resulting resin composition with better flexibility.

[0028] R 13 is an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, preferably an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, more preferably a methyl group, an ethyl group or a butyl group, and even more preferably a butyl group. a is an integer of 20 to 600, preferably an integer of 35 to 500, and more preferably an integer of 65 to 250.

[0029] (Polyether monool) The polyether monol is a compound obtained by ring-opening polymerization of an initiator having an active hydrogen-containing group and having one or more active hydrogens with an alkylene oxide and / or the above-mentioned monomer a, and has an initiator residue, a polyether chain, and hydroxyl groups corresponding to the number of active hydrogens of the initiator.

[0030] The mass ratio of the monomer a to the total mass of the alkylene oxide and the monomer a is preferably from 0 to 90 mass%, more preferably from 0 to 85 mass%, and even more preferably from 10 to 80 mass%, from the viewpoint of adjusting flexibility and strength.

[0031] The alkylene oxide is preferably an alkylene oxide having 2 to 8 carbon atoms, and more preferably an alkylene oxide having 2 to 4 carbon atoms. Specific examples of the alkylene oxide include propylene oxide, ethylene oxide, 1,2-butylene oxide, and 2,3-butylene oxide.

[0032] Examples of the active hydrogen-containing group of the initiator include a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, and an amino group having one hydrogen atom bonded to a nitrogen atom. The active hydrogen-containing group of the initiator is preferably a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group, more preferably a hydroxyl group, and further preferably an alcoholic hydroxyl group.

[0033] Examples of initiators having one active hydrogen include monohydric alcohols, monohydric phenols, monovalent carboxylic acids, and amine compounds having one hydrogen atom bonded to a nitrogen atom.Preferably, the initiator is a monohydric aliphatic alcohol or a monohydric aliphatic carboxylic acid, and more preferably a monohydric aliphatic alcohol. Also, a polyoxyalkylene monool having a molecular weight lower than that of the target polyether monool may be used as the initiator.

[0034] The number of carbon atoms in the monohydric aliphatic alcohol as the initiator is preferably 1 to 20, more preferably 2 to 8. Specific examples of the monohydric aliphatic alcohol as the initiator include ethanol, propanol, 2-propanol, and butanol. The monovalent aliphatic carboxylic acid as the initiator preferably has 2 to 20 carbon atoms, and more preferably 2 to 8 carbon atoms, including the carbon atom of the carboxy group.

[0035] The oxyalkylene group in the polyether monool is preferably composed of only an oxypropylene group or a combination of an oxypropylene group and other groups, and the oxyalkylene group other than the oxypropylene group is preferably an oxyethylene group. The ratio of the oxypropylene group to the total oxyalkylene groups in the polyether monool is preferably 50 to 100 mass%, more preferably 80 to 100 mass%. In addition, when the initiator is a polyoxyalkylene monool having a lower molecular weight than the target polyether monool, the oxyalkylene group in the initiator is regarded as the oxyalkylene group in the obtained polyether monool.

[0036] Among the above polyether monools, a polyoxyalkylene monool having a low hydroxyl value, i.e., a high molecular weight, can be produced by ring-opening polymerization of an alkylene oxide having 3 or more carbon atoms, particularly propylene oxide, using an initiator in the presence of a composite metal cyanide complex catalyst. Examples of polyoxyalkylene monools having a low hydroxyl value include polyoxyalkylene monools having a hydroxyl value of 40 mgKOH / g or less. A polyoxyalkylene monool having a low hydroxyl value and an oxyethylene group can be produced by ring-opening polymerization of an alkylene oxide having 3 or more carbon atoms, particularly propylene oxide, using a polyoxyalkylene monool having a high hydroxyl value and an oxyethylene group, for example, a hydroxyl value of 50 mgKOH / g or more, as an initiator in the presence of a composite metal cyanide complex catalyst. In the above polyether monool, the polyoxyalkylene monool having a high hydroxyl value and the polyoxyalkylene monool having a high hydroxyl value as the initiator can also be produced by using an alkali catalyst such as KOH.

[0037] In the production of polyoxyalkylene monool, the initiator and alkylene oxide to be put into the reaction system are usually those with low moisture content, which have been removed by degassing under reduced pressure, etc. Usually, the lower the moisture content of the initiator in the production of polyoxyalkylene monool, the more preferable, and it is more preferably 500 mass ppm or less, and even more preferably 300 mass ppm or less. When the moisture content is within this range, the amount of polyoxyalkylene diol produced from water is suppressed, and the amount of by-products resulting from the polyoxyalkylene diol is ultimately suppressed, and the average number of hydroxyl groups in one molecule of the obtained polyoxyalkylene monool is easily adjusted to 1.2 or less.

[0038] The water content in the polyether monool used as the raw material of the monomer 1-1 is preferably as small as possible, and is preferably 300 mass ppm or less, more preferably 250 mass ppm or less, and even more preferably 50 to 200 mass ppm relative to the polyether monool. When the water content is within the above range, the generation of by-products, which are the reaction products of water and the isocyanate group-containing compound, is small, and the stability of the reaction product, the monomer 1-1, is improved. Furthermore, it is easy to suppress the change in appearance over time of the resin composition containing the monomer 1-1, and the elastic modulus of the cured resin is easy to be good.

[0039] The average number of hydroxyl groups in one molecule of the polyether monol is preferably from 0.80 to 1.20, more preferably from 0.90 to 1.10. When the average number of hydroxyl groups is within the above range, the cure shrinkage rate of the cured product tends to be lower. The hydroxyl value of the polyether monool is preferably from 1.6 to 18.1 mgKOH / g, more preferably from 2.8 to 14 mgKOH / g, and even more preferably from 3.1 to 11.2 mgKOH / g. When the hydroxyl value is within the above range, the viscosity of the obtained curable composition tends to be low.

[0040] The polyether monool used in the production of the monomer 1-1 may be a mixture of two or more kinds of polyether monools. In this case, each polyether monool is preferably a polyoxyalkylene monool falling within the above-mentioned category.

[0041] The polyether monool may, for example, be one represented by the formula (1a).

When the resin composition of the present invention contains a photoradical polymerization initiator in addition to the first monomer and the second monomer, the resin composition of the present invention can be used as a photocurable resin composition.

[0137] [Method of producing cured resin and cured resin] The resin composition of the present invention, which contains at least a first monomer and a second monomer, and a photoradical polymerization initiator (hereinafter referred to as the "photocurable resin composition of the present invention"), can be irradiated with light to produce the cured resin of the present invention.

[0138] When carrying out three-dimensional stereolithography using the photocurable resin composition of the present invention and producing a resin cured product, any of the conventionally known three-dimensional stereolithography methods and devices can be used. A representative example of the optical three-dimensional modeling method is a method in which the liquid photocurable resin composition of the present invention is selectively irradiated with active energy rays to form a cured layer having a desired pattern, and then an uncured photocurable resin composition is supplied to this cured layer, and similarly irradiated with active energy rays to form a new cured layer continuous with the above cured layer. This lamination operation is repeated to finally obtain the desired cured resin product.

[0139] Examples of the active energy rays include ultraviolet rays, electron beams, X-rays, radiation, and high frequency waves. Among them, ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 300 to 410 nm are preferred from an economical point of view. Examples of light sources used in this case include ultraviolet lasers (e.g., semiconductor pumped solid-state lasers, Ar lasers, He-Cd lasers, LD lasers, etc.), high pressure mercury lamps, ultra-high pressure mercury lamps, low pressure mercury lamps, xenon lamps, halogen lamps, metal halide lamps, ultraviolet LEDs (light emitting diodes), and ultraviolet fluorescent lamps.

[0140] When irradiating a modeling surface made of a photocurable resin composition with active energy rays to form each cured resin layer having a predetermined shape pattern, the cured resin layer may be formed by a pointillism method or a line drawing method using active energy rays focused in a point shape such as laser light, or a modeling method may be adopted in which the modeling surface is irradiated with active energy rays in a planar manner through a planar drawing mask formed by arranging a plurality of micro-optical shutters such as liquid crystal shutters or digital micromirror shutters (DMDs) to form a cured resin layer.

[0141] The cured product obtained by photopolymerization using the photocurable resin composition of the present invention may be used as is without heat treatment or the like. However, by performing photopolymerization by the above-mentioned process and then heat treating the three-dimensional object obtained thereby, the heat distortion temperature becomes higher and the heat resistance is further improved. The heat treatment temperature at this time is preferably 100°C or higher, and more preferably 110 to 180°C. The heat treatment time can be appropriately selected depending on the size, shape, etc. of the cured product. The heat treatment can be carried out by a method in which the three-dimensional object obtained by stereolithography is placed in a heating chamber and heated, or by a method in which the object is heated by a heat medium such as silicone oil.

[0142] The curing shrinkage ratio, which is the shrinkage ratio when the photocurable resin composition of the present invention is cured, is preferably 6% or less, more preferably 4% or less, and even more preferably 3% or less, in order to easily improve the molding accuracy. When the effective shrinkage ratio is equal to or less than the upper limit, the three-dimensional moldability is easily improved.

[0143] The storage modulus of the cured resin obtained by curing the photocurable resin composition of the present invention is preferably 1 to 200 kPa, and more preferably 3 to 180 kPa, in the case of a cured resin obtained by curing a photocurable resin composition containing only a first monomer and a second monomer as monomers. stomachIn the cured resin obtained by curing a photocurable resin composition containing a first monomer, a second monomer, and a third monomer as monomers, the storage modulus is preferably 0.1 to 20 MPa, more preferably 0.3 to 18 MPa, and even more preferably 0.4 to 15 MPa. When the storage modulus is within the above range, the breaking strength tends to be good.

[0144] The photocurable resin composition of the present invention can be widely used in the field of optical three-dimensional modeling, and although there is no limitation thereto, representative application areas include a shape confirmation model for verifying an appearance design during the design process, a function test model for checking the functionality of a part, a master model for producing a casting mold, a master model for producing a metal mold, a direct mold for a prototype mold, a final product, etc.

[0145] [Mechanism of action] The resin composition of the present invention contains a first monomer and a second monomer, and the proportion of the first monomer to the total of the first monomer and the second monomer is set to 50 to 98 mass %, thereby achieving a low viscosity. Although it is not possible to say for certain what the mechanism of action of the present invention is, it is believed that the ratio of the first monomer is 50% by mass. End Therefore, it is considered that the concentration of (meth)acryloyloxy groups is decreased, and intermolecular interactions are suppressed. EXAMPLES

However, the present invention is not limited to the examples described below, and various modifications are possible without departing from the gist of the present invention.
