Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a liquid detergent composition for textile products and a method for cleaning textile products. [Background technology]
[0002] In powder detergent compositions for textile products such as clothing, anionic surfactants and nonionic surfactants are used as cleaning components. Known anionic surfactants include anionic surfactants having a sulfonic acid group or a salt thereof, such as alkylbenzenesulfonate, and anionic surfactants having a sulfate ester salt, such as alkyl sulfate ester salt and polyoxyalkylene alkyl sulfate ester salt. Providers of laundry detergents use a plurality of anionic surfactants in combination from the viewpoint of cleaning power against various stains attached to clothing. On the other hand, as consumers become more conscious of hygiene, interest in odors and bacteria on clothing is also increasing. It is known that various bacteria that are resident on the skin and in the environment adhere to and grow on clothing. It is known that quaternary ammonium surfactants are used as a means of suppressing the growth of bacteria on clothing. In addition, aromatic chlorine compounds such as diclosan are also known to have antibacterial and bactericidal properties.
[0003] Patent Document 1 discloses a method for suppressing damp odor, which comprises contacting a textile product having a moisture content (the ratio of water impregnated with the total dry mass of the textile product) of 30 to 120 mass% after completion of spin-drying in a washing process with an aqueous composition containing (a) at least one antibacterial agent selected from cationic organic antibacterial agents, triclosan, and dichlorosan, (b) at least one surfactant selected from nonionic surfactants and amine oxide surfactants, and water, wherein the content of (a) is 0.05 to 10 mass% and the content of (b) is 0.01 to 10 mass%.
[0004] Patent Document 2 discloses a detergent composition characterized by containing surface-coated particles obtained by coating, with a surface coating agent, granulated particles that include a clay mineral carrying at least one substance selected from the group consisting of substances having antibacterial activity, substances having antioxidant activity, and substances having deodorizing activity.
[0005] Patent Document 3 discloses a liquid detergent composition for clothing, which comprises a copolymer (A) obtained from four kinds of vinyl monomers, namely, a vinyl monomer m1 having a tertiary amine structure in a side chain, a vinyl monomer m2 having a lactam structure, a vinyl monomer m3 having a linear or branched carbon chain having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or an alicyclic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic hydrocarbon group in a side chain, and a vinyl monomer m4 having a polyalkylene oxide group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms in a side chain, wherein the constituent amounts of each of the four kinds of monomers are within the ranges of 10 to 70 mol % for (m1), 10 to 70 mol % for (m2), 1 to 30 mol % for (m3), and 1 to 60 mol % for (m4) so that the total amount is 100 mol %; a functional component (B) having at least one effect of bactericidal / antibacterial effect, deodorizing effect, and antioxidant effect; and a surfactant (C). Effect of the Invention
[0010] According to the present invention, a liquid detergent composition for textile products, which can impart excellent antibacterial properties to textile products even when used in a washing process including washing and rinsing, has excellent cleaning power and foams well, and a method for cleaning textile products is provided. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0011] [Liquid detergent composition for textile products] The liquid detergent composition for fabric products of the present invention contains a surfactant as component (a). The component (a) may be one or more surfactants selected from (a1) anionic surfactants (hereinafter referred to as component (a1)) and (a2) nonionic surfactants (hereinafter referred to as component (a2)).
[0012] Examples of the component (a1) include one or more anionic surfactants selected from internal olefin sulfonates having from 10 to 18 carbon atoms, sulfates having an alkyl or alkenyl group having from 10 to 24 carbon atoms, polyoxyalkylene alkyl or alkenyl ether sulfates having an alkyl or alkenyl group having from 10 to 24 carbon atoms, and sulfonates having an alkyl or alkenyl group having from 10 to 24 carbon atoms (excluding internal olefin sulfonates having from 10 to 18 carbon atoms).
[0013] An internal olefin sulfonate having 10 to 18 carbon atoms can be obtained by sulfonating an internal olefin having 10 to 18 carbon atoms. The internal olefin refers to an olefin in which a double bond is present inside the 2-position. For example, an internal olefin can be obtained by isomerizing a 1-olefin obtained by dehydrating a 1-alcohol. When an internal olefin is sulfonated, β-sultone is quantitatively produced, and a part of the β-sultone is converted to γ-sultone and olefin sulfonic acid, which are further converted to hydroxyalkanesulfonate and olefin sulfonate in the neutralization and hydrolysis process (for example, J. Am. Oil Chem. Soc. 69, 39(1992)). Here, the hydroxy group of the obtained hydroxyalkanesulfonate is inside the alkane chain, and the double bond of the olefin sulfonate is inside the olefin chain. The obtained product is mainly a mixture of these, and may contain a small amount of hydroxyalkanesulfonate having a hydroxy group at the end of the carbon chain or α-olefinsulfonate having a double bond at the end of the carbon chain. In this specification, these products and their mixtures are collectively called internal olefinsulfonate. Hydroxyalkanesulfonate is also called hydroxy form of internal olefinsulfonate (hereinafter, also called HAS), and olefinsulfonate is also called olefin form of internal olefinsulfonate (hereinafter, also called IOS).
[0014] The number of carbon atoms in the internal olefin sulfonate is 10 or more, preferably 14 or more and 18 or less. From the viewpoints of antibacterial properties, cleaning properties and foaming properties, an internal olefin sulfonate having a carbon number of 16 is preferred. The liquid detergent composition for textile products of the present invention may contain an internal olefin sulfonate having a carbon number of 16 as component (a1). The carbon number of the internal olefin sulfonate does not include the number of carbon atoms in the salt portion. That is, the carbon number of the olefin portion is the carbon number of the internal olefin sulfonate. In other words, the carbon number of the internal olefin sulfonate represents the carbon number of the internal olefin to which the sulfonate is covalently bonded.
[0015] Examples of the salt of the internal olefin sulfonate include an alkali metal salt, an alkaline earth metal (1 / 2 atom) salt, an ammonium salt, and an organic ammonium salt. Examples of the alkali metal salt include a sodium salt and a potassium salt. Examples of the organic ammonium salt include an alkanol ammonium salt having 1 to 6 carbon atoms.
[0016] The internal olefin sulfonate also includes those containing a trace amount of so-called alpha olefin sulfonate (hereinafter also referred to as α-olefin sulfonate), in which the sulfonate is located at position 1 of the carbon chain. From the viewpoints of antibacterial properties, cleaning properties and foaming properties, the content of α-olefin sulfonate in the internal olefin sulfonate is preferably 10% by mass or less, more preferably 7% by mass or less, even more preferably 5% by mass or less, still more preferably 3% by mass or less, and preferably 0.01% by mass or more.
[0017] Internal olefin sulfonates can be obtained by sulfonating an olefin having 10 to 18 carbon atoms and having a double bond at the second or higher position as the main component. When the internal olefin is sulfonated, β-sultone is quantitatively produced, and a part of the β-sultone is converted to γ-sultone and olefin sulfonic acid, which are further converted to hydroxyalkanesulfonate and olefin sulfonate in the neutralization and hydrolysis process (for example, J. Am.Oil Chem. Soc. 69, 39(1992)). Here, the hydroxy group of the obtained hydroxyalkanesulfonate is located inside the alkane chain, and the double bond of the olefin sulfonate is located inside the olefin chain. The obtained product is mainly a mixture of these, and some of them may contain a trace amount of hydroxyalkanesulfonate having a hydroxy group at the end of the carbon chain or olefin sulfonate having a double bond at the end of the carbon chain.
[0018] In this specification, these products and mixtures thereof are collectively referred to as internal olefin sulfonates. As described above, hydroxyalkanesulfonates are referred to as hydroxy forms of internal olefin sulfonates (HAS), and olefin sulfonates are referred to as olefin forms of internal olefin sulfonates (IOS). [0048] Although the mechanism of the effect of the present invention has not been fully elucidated, it is believed to be as follows. Although the component (c) of the present invention has antibacterial properties, its antibacterial properties against bacteria are improved by using it in combination with the component (b). This is believed to be because, when the components (c) and (b) are absorbed into the bacterial body, the effect on one of the metabolic systems of the bacteria becomes greater than when only the component (c) is absorbed, causing the growth of the bacterial body to be inhibited. On the other hand, in the washing of textile products, the component (a), which contributes to the washing properties of textile products, is thought to be adsorbed to the surface of the textile products after washing, but the component (c), which has a low molecular weight and high solubility in water, is difficult to adsorb to the surface of the textile products. In the liquid detergent composition for textile products of the present invention, the component (b) is used in combination to change the molecular aggregation state of the surfactant component (a) in the aqueous solution, thereby exhibiting good washing properties and foaming properties. Furthermore, it is considered that the relatively highly hydrophobic (b) component is easily adsorbed to the surface of a textile product, but the adsorption state of the (a) and (b) components on the surface of the textile after washing is such that gaps are formed at the adsorption sites of the (a) component, and the (c) component of the present invention is adsorbed thereto, promoting the adsorption of the (c) component near the (b) component. It is considered that the relationship between these adsorbed molecules is further improved when the (a1) component and the (a2) component are used in combination. When the bacterial cells adhere to the surface of a textile product after washing with the composition of the present invention, it is considered that they easily take up the (b) and (c) components located in the vicinity, improving the antibacterial properties. It should be noted that the present invention is not particularly limited to the above-mentioned mechanism of action.
[0049] [How to wash textile products] The cleaning method of the present invention is a method for cleaning textile products, which comprises washing textile products with a cleaning liquid obtained by mixing the liquid detergent composition for textile products of the present invention with water, and then rinsing the textile products with water. That is, the cleaning method of the present invention is a method for cleaning a textile product, which comprises washing the textile product with a cleaning liquid obtained by mixing component (a), component (b), component (c), and water, and then rinsing the textile product with water.
[0050] The water to be mixed with the liquid detergent composition for textile products of the present invention and the water to be used for rinsing can each be selected from the following ranges on the German hardness scale: 1°dH or more, further 2°dH or more, further 3°dH or more, and 30°dH or less, further 25°dH or less, further 20°dH or less, further 18°dH or less, and further 15°dH or less. Here, German hardness (°dH) in this specification refers to the concentration of calcium and magnesium in water expressed as a CaCO3 equivalent concentration of 1 mg / L (ppm) = approximately 0.056°dH (1°dH = 17.8 ppm). The calcium and magnesium concentrations for the German hardness scale are determined by chelate titration using disodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. A specific method for measuring the German hardness of water in this specification is shown below.
[0051] <Method of measuring water hardness in Germany> 〔reagent〕 0.01 mol / l EDTA·2Na solution: 0.01 mol / l aqueous solution of disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate (titration solution, 0.01 M EDTA-Na2, manufactured by Sigma-Aldrich) ·Universal BT indicator (product name: Universal BT, manufactured by Dojindo Laboratories Co., Ltd.) Ammonia buffer solution for hardness measurement (67.5 g of ammonium chloride dissolved in 570 ml of 28 w / v% ammonia water, and made up to 1000 ml with deionized water) [Measurement of hardness] (1) Using a volumetric pipette, place 20 ml of sample water into a conical beaker. (2) Add 2 ml of ammonia buffer solution for hardness measurement. (3) Add 0.5 ml of Universal BT indicator and confirm that the solution is reddish purple after addition. [0085] The components used in the examples and comparative examples are as follows. <Composition ingredients> (a) Ingredients Component (a1) (a1-1): Potassium salt of internal olefin sulfonate having 16 carbon atoms (a1-1) was obtained by using an internal olefin having a carbon number of 16, with reference to the method described in the manufacturing example of JP 2014-76988 A. The mass ratio of the olefin body (potassium olefin sulfonate) / hydroxy body (potassium hydroxyalkanesulfonate) in the obtained internal olefin sulfonate potassium salt of (a1-1) was 17 / 83. The mass ratio of the position distribution of the sulfonic acid group of the hydroxy body in (a1-1) was 1st position / 2nd position / 3rd position / 4th position / 5th position / 6th to 9th position=2.3% / 23.6% / 18.9% / 17.5% / 13.7% / 11.2% / 6.4% / 6.4% / 0% (total 100% by mass).
[0086] The mass ratio of the position distribution of sulfonic acid groups in the internal olefin sulfonate salt was measured by high performance liquid chromatography / mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS). Specifically, hydroxy bodies to which sulfonic acid groups are bonded were separated by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and each was identified by subjecting each to a mass spectrometer (MS). As a result, each ratio was calculated from the HPLC-MS peak area. In this specification, each ratio calculated from the peak area was calculated as a mass ratio. The apparatus and conditions used for the measurement were as follows: HPLC apparatus "LC-20ASXR" (Shimadzu Corporation), column "ODS Hypersil (registered trademark)" (4.6 x 250 mm, particle size: 3 μm, Thermo Fisher Scientific), sample preparation (1000-fold dilution with methanol), eluent A (water with 10 mM ammonium acetate added), eluent B (water with 10 mM ammonium acetate added), Methacrylonitrile / water = 95 / 5 (v / v) solution), gradient (0 min (A / B = 60 / 40) → 15.1-20 min (30 / 70) → 20.1-30 min (60 / 40), MS device "LCMS-2020" (Shimadzu Corporation), ESI detection (anion detection m / z: 321.10 (component (a) with carbon number 16), column temperature (40 °C), flow rate (0.5 mL / min), injection volume (5 μL)
[0087] The mass ratio of the hydroxyl / olefin of the internal olefin sulfonate was measured by HPLC-MS. Specifically, the hydroxyl and olefin were separated by HPLC and each was identified by MS. As a result, the ratio of each was calculated from the HPLC-MS peak area. The apparatus and conditions used for the measurement were as follows: HPLC apparatus (trade name: Agilent Technology 1100, manufactured by Agilent Technologies), column (trade name: L-column ODS 4.6 x 150 mm, manufactured by Chemicals Evaluation and Research Institute, Japan), sample preparation (1000-fold dilution with methanol), eluent A (water with 10 mM ammonium acetate added), eluent B (methanol with 10 mM ammonium acetate added), gradient (0 min (A / B = 30 / 70%) → 10 min (30 / 70%) → 55 min (0 / 100%) → 65 min (0 / 100%) → 66 min (30 / 70%) → 75 min (30 / 70%)), MS apparatus (trade name: Agilent Technology 1100MS SL (G1946D)), MS detection (anion detection m / z 60-1600, UV 240 nm).
[0088] In addition, a specified amount of α-olefin sulfonate having an aliphatic hydrocarbon group with 16 carbon atoms was added to component (a1-1) as an external standard, and the peak area of the α-olefin sulfonate was compared with the peak area of component (a1-1) to calculate the mass of component (a1-1). The number of moles of component (a1-1) was calculated from the molecular weight of component (a1-1). The molecular weight of component (a1-1) was calculated in acid form. The molecular weight of the olefin form of the internal olefin sulfonate is 304.5, and the molecular weight of the HAS form is 322.6.
