Description
[Technical field]
[0001] (CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS) This application claims priority to Chinese patent application No. 201710681837.0, filed on August 10, 2017, and the entire disclosure of the above Chinese patent application is incorporated herein by reference.
[0002] The embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a touch display substrate and a display device. [Background technology]
[0003] A touch display panel is a display device that has both display and instruction input functions. A user can touch a touch display panel that can detect a touch area with a hand or an object, and respond according to the detected touch area. Among the many types of touch display panels, an in-cell type touch display panel has touch electrodes embedded inside the display panel, and is therefore characterized by its thinness and low cost, and is favored by major manufacturers of each panel.
[0004] In order to meet touch accuracy requirements, an in-cell touch type display panel generally has multiple touch electrodes inside the display panel, and each touch electrode needs to be provided with a corresponding touch signal line. However, the layout method of the touch signal line is complicated and there is still room for improvement. Summary of the Invention [Means for solving the problem]
[0005] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a touch display substrate. The touch display substrate includes a plurality of sub-pixel units arranged in an array. For every two adjacent rows of sub-pixel units, the positions of X sub-pixel units are shifted in the row direction between a sub-pixel unit in one row of sub-pixel units and a sub-pixel unit adjacent to it and located in another row of sub-pixel units, where 0 < X < 1. The sub-pixel unit in one row of sub-pixel units and the sub-pixel unit adjacent to it and located in another row of sub-pixel units have different colors. The touch display substrate further includes a plurality of sub-pixel units arranged in an array, each of the sub-pixel units having a pixel unit switch; a data line disposed in a gap extending in the column direction between the sub-pixel units; and a touch signal line disposed in a gap extending in the column direction between the sub-pixel units. The touch signal line is disposed in the same layer as the data line and insulated from the data line.
[0006] For example, the pixel unit switch includes an active layer having a source region, a drain region, and a channel region located between the source region and the drain region. The active layer is located in a layer different from the data line and the touch signal line. The source region is electrically connected to the data line via a via. The data line includes a first data line, and the touch signal line is disposed in a gap extending in the column direction of the first data line portion. The pixel unit switch includes a first pixel unit switch connected to a first end of the first data line. The projection of the touch signal line in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate is located between the source region and the drain region of the first pixel unit switch.
[0007] For example, the pixel unit switch includes a second pixel unit switch connected to a second end of the first data line. The first end and the second end are on opposite sides of the first data line. The interval in the row direction between the source region and the drain region of the first pixel unit switch is larger than the interval in the row direction between the source region and the drain region of the second pixel unit switch.
[0008] For example, a first interval is larger than a second interval, the first interval being the interval in the row direction between two data lines closest to one of the touch signal lines, and the second interval being the interval in the row direction between any two adjacent data lines between two adjacent touch signal lines.
[0009] For example, the data line further includes a second data line, the touch signal line is not provided in a gap extending in the column direction of the second data line portion, the two data lines closest to one of the touch signal lines include one of the first data line and one of the second data line, and the distance in the row direction between the second data line and the touch signal line of the two data lines closest to one of the touch signal lines is equal to the second distance.
[0010] For example, each of the subpixel units includes a pixel unit electrode, the drain region is electrically connected to the pixel unit electrode, in two columns of subpixel units closest to one of the first data lines, the distance in the row direction between the first data line and the pixel unit electrode located in the subpixel unit at its first end is greater than the distance in the row direction between the first data line and the pixel unit electrode located in the subpixel unit at its second end, the first end and the second end are on opposite sides of the first data line, and the first pixel unit switch is disposed in the subpixel unit at the first end of the first data line.
[0011] For example, the active layer has a horizontal portion extending in a row direction, and the touch display substrate further has a gate line disposed in a gap between the sub-pixel units extending in the row direction, and a projection of the horizontal portion in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate overlaps with a projection of the gate line in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate.
[0012] For example, the active layer has a vertical portion extending in a column direction, and a projection of the vertical portion of the active layer of the first pixel unit switch in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate lies within a projection of the touch signal line in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate.
[0013] For example, the active layer has a vertical portion extending in a column direction, and a projection of the vertical portion of the active layer of the first pixel unit switch in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate lies within a projection of the first data line in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate.
[0014] For example, the extension direction of the first data line and the extension direction of the touch signal line are the same, and the interval between the first data line and the touch signal line is equal at every point.
[0015] For example, the data line of the touch signal line arranged in the gap extending in the column direction includes a bus line and two branch lines both connected to the bus line, the touch signal line is located between the two branch lines, one of the two branch lines is connected to the pixel unit switch located at a first end of the touch signal line, and the other of the two branch lines is connected to the pixel unit switch located at a second end of the touch signal line, the first end and the second end are opposite sides of the touch signal line.
[0016] For example, both ends of the two branch lines are connected to each other to form a closed frame structure, the touch signal line is located inside the frame structure, and the bus line is connected to the frame structure.
[0017] For example, the pixel unit switch is a low temperature polysilicon thin film transistor.
[0018] For example, the data line is connected to pixel unit switches located on both sides thereof in the row direction and located in sub-pixel units of different rows.
[0019] For example, the data lines are connected to pixel unit switches of the sub-pixel units of the same color.
[0020] For example, only the subpixel units of two different colors are arranged between any two adjacent data lines.
[0021] For example, the subpixel units in two rows of subpixel units spaced apart from one another are aligned in the column direction.
[0022] For example, the touch display substrate in the embodiment of the present disclosure further comprises a touch sensing electrode, and the touch sensing electrode is connected to the touch signal line.
[0023] For example, the touch sensing electrode further functions as a common electrode layer of the sub-pixel unit.
[0024] An embodiment of the present disclosure further provides a display device, which further comprises the touch display substrate described above. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0027] In order to make the objectives, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present disclosure clearer, the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below in a clear and complete manner in combination with the drawings. It is clear that the described embodiments are only some of the embodiments of the present disclosure, and are not all of the embodiments. Based on the described embodiments of the present disclosure, all other embodiments that can be obtained by a person skilled in the art without exerting his or her creative efforts all belong to the claims of the present disclosure.
[0028] 1 is a partial schematic plan view of a touch display substrate provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG 1, the touch display substrate includes a plurality of sub-pixel units 10 arranged in an array, a plurality of data lines 20, a plurality of touch signal lines 30 (only one of which is shown in FIG 1), and a plurality of touch sensing electrodes (not shown in FIG 1).
[0029] For example, as shown in FIG. 1, each sub-pixel unit 10 within each row of sub-pixel units is arranged in alignment, and for every two adjacent rows of sub-pixel units, between the sub-pixel unit 10 within one row of sub-pixel units and the sub-pixel unit 10 adjacent thereto and located within another row of sub-pixel units, the positions of X sub-pixel units 10 are shifted in the row direction, where 0 < X < 1, and for example, X may be 0.5. For every two adjacent rows of sub-pixel units, the sub-pixel unit 10 within one row of sub-pixel units and the sub-pixel unit 10 adjacent thereto and located within another row of sub-pixel units have different colors, and each sub-pixel unit 10 all includes a pixel unit switch 11 and a pixel unit electrode 12. Each data line 20 is arranged in the gap extending in the column direction between the sub-pixel units 10. For example, each data line 20 is connected to the pixel unit switch 11 located in the sub-pixel units 10 of different rows. For example, each data line 20 is connected to the pixel unit switches 11 located in the sub-pixel units 10 positioned on both sides thereof in the row direction and in different rows. Each touch signal line 30 is arranged in the gap extending in the column direction between the sub-pixel units 10. Since the number of touch signal lines 30 is less than the number of data lines 20, it is not the case that one touch signal line 30 is arranged in all the gaps extending in the column direction of each data line 20 portion. In such a case, the data line 20 may include a first data line 21 and a second data line 22. The touch signal line 30 is arranged in the gap extending in the column direction of the first data line 21 portion, and no touch signal line 30 is arranged in the gap extending in the column direction of the second data line 22 portion. The touch signal line 30 is arranged in the same layer as the data line 20 and is insulated from the data line 20.
[0030] For example, as shown in FIG. 1, the touch display substrate has a plurality of gate lines G1, G2 ··· Gn, and the plurality of gate lines intersect with a plurality of data lines 20 to define the plurality of sub-pixel units 10 as described above. For example, each data line is arranged in the gap extending in the row direction between the sub-pixel units and is connected to the sub-pixel units 10 located in the same row.
[0031] For example, the pixel unit switch 11 is a TFT (English: Thin Film Transistor, Japanese: Thin Film Transistor). For example, the TFT may have a gate 113 and an active layer, the active layer having a source region 112, a drain region 111, and a channel region 114 located between the source region 112 and the drain region 111, the source region 112 and the drain region 111 may be regions electrically connected to the data line 20 and the pixel unit electrode 12, respectively, and are, for example, regions doped to have a higher conductivity than the channel region 114. 2(a) is a partially enlarged schematic diagram of FIG. 1 (for convenience of explanation, only the data line, touch signal line, active layer, pixel unit electrode, etc. are shown, and other parts such as the touch electrode and the insulating layer between the film layers are not shown), and as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2(a), the active layer is located in a layer different from the data line 20 and the touch signal line 30, the source region 112 is electrically connected to the data line 20 through the via 101, and the drain region 111 is electrically connected to the pixel unit electrode 12 through the via 102. For example, the TFT may be a top-gate type TFT or a bottom-gate type TFT, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0032] The pixel unit switch 10 includes a first pixel unit switch 11a connected to a first end of the first data line 21 (the left side of the first data line 21 as shown in FIG. 2(a)) and a second pixel unit switch 11b connected to a second end of the first data line 21 (the right side of the first data line 21 as shown in FIG. 2(a)), where the first end and the second end are opposite sides of the first data line 21, and the touch signal line 30 is projected in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate between the source region and the drain region of the first pixel unit switch 11a. That is, the projection of the touch signal line 30 on the base substrate 1 is located between the projection of the source region of the first pixel unit switch 11a on the base substrate 1 and the projection of the drain region of the first pixel unit switch 11a on the base substrate.
[0033] For example, the row direction distance d1 between the source region 112 and the drain region 111 of the first pixel unit switch 11a is greater than the row direction distance d2 between the source region 112 and the drain region 111 of the second pixel unit switch 11b. Therefore, the touch signal line 30 can be conveniently arranged.
[0034] For example, the TFT may be a low-temperature polysilicon TFT, which has more advantages compared to an amorphous silicon TFT. FIG. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. 2(a). Combining FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the TFT includes a gate 113 provided on a base substrate 1, a gate insulating layer 2 provided on the gate 113, and an active layer provided on the gate insulating layer 2. The gate insulating layer 2 may be made of silicon oxide or silicon nitride material and may have a thickness of 80 to 120 nm. The active layer includes a drain region 111 and a source region 112 separated from each other, and a channel region 114 located between the source region 111 and the drain region 112, and the normal projections of the drain region 111 and the source region 112 on the base substrate 1 are located outside the normal projection of the gate 113 on the base substrate 1, and the normal projection of the channel region 114 on the base substrate 1 coincides with the normal projection of the gate 113 on the base substrate 1. Since the electron mobility rate of low-temperature polysilicon is much higher than that of amorphous silicon, in the low-temperature polysilicon TFT, the active layer can be made more elongated, and the distance between the drain region 111 and the source region 112 of the first pixel unit switch 11a can be extended, which is convenient for the arrangement of the touch signal line 30.
[0035] As shown in FIG. 3, the touch signal lines 30 are disposed in the same layer as the signal lines 20 and are insulated from the data lines 20 .
[0036] For example, a first insulating layer 3 is provided on a certain film layer of the TFT, and the material of the first insulating layer 3 may include nitrides and non-metal oxides. The nitrides include SiN. x Non-metallic oxides include, but are not limited to, SiO xThe first insulating layer 3 is disposed between a film layer having a TFT and a film layer having a plurality of touch signal lines 30 and a plurality of data lines 20. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, a via 101 penetrates the first insulating layer 3.
[0037] Each of the multiple touch detection electrodes 31 is connected to a corresponding touch signal line 30. For example, the touch detection electrodes 31 can be electrically connected to the corresponding touch signal line 30 through a via 103. A second insulating layer 4 can be provided between a film layer including the touch signal line 30 and a film layer including the touch detection electrodes 31, to flatten the surface of the film layer. For example, the material of the second insulating layer 4 can be a resin. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, the via 103 penetrates the second insulating layer 4.
[0038] For example, a third insulating layer 5 may be provided between a film layer including the touch detection electrode 31 and a film layer including the pixel unit electrode 12, and the material of the third insulating layer 5 may be silicon nitride, and the thickness of the third insulating layer 5 may be 100 nm to 200 nm. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, the via 102 penetrates the first insulating layer 3, the fourth insulating layer 4, and the fifth insulating layer 5.
[0039] 2(a) again, any touch signal line 30, when projected in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate, is located between the source region 112 and the drain region 111 of the first pixel unit switch 11a. That is, the touch signal line 30 crosses directly above the first pixel unit switch 11a to prevent a short circuit between the touch signal line 30 and the data line 20.
[0040] 2(a), the first distance d3 is larger than the second distance d4, the first distance d3 being the distance in the row direction between two data lines 20 closest to one touch signal line 30, and the second distance d4 being the distance in the row direction between any two adjacent data lines 20 between two adjacent touch signal lines 30. Since the area between the touch signal line 30 and the first data line 21 does not emit light, the first distance d3 is set larger than the second distance d4, so that the area of the area that emits light can be increased as long as the area of the area between the touch signal line 30 and the first data line 21 is constant.
[0041] For example, in two columns of subpixel units 10 closest to one first data line 21, the distance d5 between the first data line 21 and the pixel unit electrode 12 located in the subpixel unit 10 at its first end is larger than the distance d6 between the first data line 21 and the pixel unit electrode 12 located in the subpixel unit 10 at its second end, and the first end and the second end are opposite sides of the first data line 21. For example, the first pixel unit switch 11a is disposed in the subpixel unit 10 located at the first end of the first data line 121. The distances between the first data line 21 and the pixel unit electrodes 12 located in the subpixel units 10 on both sides are different, so that it is convenient to provide the touch signal line 30 on the side with the larger distance. Note that the distance between the first data line 21 and the pixel unit electrode 12 refers to the minimum distance between the first data line 21 and the edge of the pixel unit electrode 12 in the row direction.
[0042] For example, the two data lines 20 closest to one touch signal line 30 include one first data line 21 and one second data line 22, and in the two data lines 20 closest to one touch signal line 30, the interval d7 between the second data line 22 and the touch signal line 30 in the row direction is equal to the second interval d4, so that the light-emitting area of each subpixel unit can be equal. Closest refers to no touch signal line or data line between them. For example, in FIG. 2(a), the two data lines 20 closest to one touch signal line 30 are the first first data line 21 on the right side of the touch signal line 30 and the first second data line 22 on the left side of the touch signal line 30, which has nothing to do with the actual distance.
[0043] For example, as shown in FIG. 2(a), the active layer has a horizontal portion a extending in the row direction and a vertical portion b extending in the column direction. For example, the projection of the horizontal portion a in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate overlaps with the projection of the gate line in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate, that is, the normal projection of the horizontal portion a on the base substrate 1 overlaps with the normal projection of the gate line on the base substrate 1. In this way, a part of the gate line can be directly used as a gate. For example, as shown in FIG. 2(a), the projection of the vertical portion b of the active layer of the first pixel unit switch 11a connected to the first data line 21 in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate is within the projection of the touch signal line 30 in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate, and its row width is equal to the row width of the projection of the touch signal line 30 in a direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate. That is, the first pixel unit switch 11a connected to the first data line 21 has a vertical portion b of its active layer on the base substrate 1 projected within the vertical projection of the touch signal line 30 on the base substrate 1, and the row width of the vertical portion b of the active layer on the base substrate 1 is equal to the row width of the touch signal line 30 on the base substrate 1. FIG. 2(b) is a partially enlarged schematic diagram 2 of FIG. 1. The difference from FIG. 2(a) is that in FIG. 2(b), the projection of the vertical portion b of the active layer of the first pixel unit switch 11a connected to the first data line 21 in the direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate is within the projection of the first data line 21 in the direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate, and the row width of the vertical portion b of the active layer of the first pixel unit switch 11a connected to the first data line 21 in the direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate is equal to the row width of the projection of the first data line 21 in the direction perpendicular to the touch display substrate. That is, the first pixel unit switch 11a connected to the first data line 21 has the vertical portion b of its active layer on the base substrate 1 projected in the positive projection of the first data line 21 on the base substrate 1, and the row width of the vertical portion b projected in the positive projection on the base substrate 1 is equal to the row width of the first data line 21 projected in the positive projection on the base substrate 1. In the structure shown in FIG. 2(a), the intervals between the vertical portions b of the active layers of all the pixel unit switches 11 are the same distance, which is convenient for patterning. In the structure shown in FIG. 2(b), the vertical portions b of the active layers of all the pixel unit switches 11 overlap with the data line 20, which can improve the electrical uniformity of the touch display substrate. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the positional relationship between the gate line and the active layer is not limited to the situation shown in Figure 2(a) and Figure 2(b) For example, the gate line overlaps with the vertical portion b of the active layer at two places, but does not overlap with the horizontal portion a, thereby forming a dual-gate TFT.
[0044] For example, the plurality of touch sensing electrodes 31 constitute a common electrode layer of each sub-pixel unit, in which case the touch sensing electrode 31 further functions as a common electrode layer of the sub-pixel unit 10, which is advantageous for reducing the thickness of the display substrate.
[0045] For example, as shown in FIG. 3, the data lines 20 and the touch signal lines 30 are located between a film layer containing the active layer 14 and a common electrode layer.
[0046] FIG. 4 is a partial schematic cross-sectional view of another touch display substrate provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure. The structure of the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 4 is basically the same as that of the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 3, except that the pixel unit electrode 12 of the touch display substrate in FIG. 4 is located below the touch sensing electrode 31.
[0047] FIG. 5 is a partial cross-sectional schematic diagram of another touch display substrate provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure. The structure of the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 5 is basically the same as that of the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 3, except that in the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 5, the pixel unit switch is a top-gate type TFT.
[0048] In the manufacturing process of a top-gate TFT, a light-shielding layer facing the channel region 114 is provided between the base substrate 1 and the active layer 114 to prevent light leakage current, but this light-shielding layer is omitted in Figure 5.
[0049] By providing the touch signal line and the data line in the same layer, the parasitic capacitance between the data line and the touch signal line can be reduced, and the process can be simplified by eliminating the need for an insulating layer between them. In addition, the touch signal line and the data line are insulated from each other to prevent a short circuit between the touch signal line and the data line.
[0050] As shown in FIG. 1, in two rows of subpixel units 10 separating one row of subpixel units, the subpixel units 10 are aligned in the column direction, which makes the arrangement of the subpixel units 10 more orderly and facilitates manufacturing.
[0051] In other embodiments, the sub-pixel units 10 in the two rows of sub-pixel units 10 that separate one row of sub-pixel units may be arranged not aligned in the column direction, which can be easily conceived to meet different requirements. For example, in a triangular touch display substrate, the sub-pixel units 10 in the two rows of sub-pixel units 10 that separate one row of sub-pixel units may gradually reduce the distance between the sub-pixel units 10 in the column direction. For example, in a touch display substrate with other possible shapes, including but not limited to a circle, a diamond, an ellipse, and a trapezoid, the sub-pixel units 10 in the two rows of sub-pixel units 10 that separate one row of sub-pixel units may reduce or exceed the distance between the sub-pixel units 10 in the column direction, and the pixel units are arranged according to the shape of the display substrate.
[0052] In the embodiment of the present disclosure, for example, the subpixel units 10 in every row have three different color subpixel units 10, and the three adjacent subpixel units 10 of different colors arranged in sequence form an overlapping unit, and the overlapping units are overlapped in the row direction in every row of the subpixel units 10. In a non-rectangular touch display substrate, when the distance between the subpixel units 10 needs to be reduced, the distance between the subpixel units 10 can be reduced by an integer multiple of three. For a display substrate including only two different color subpixel units 10 in the same row, the distance between the subpixel units 10 can be reduced by an integer multiple of two.
[0053] For example, since each sub-pixel unit 10 and each of its adjacent sub-pixel units 10 have different colors, it is convenient to arrange the sub-pixel units 10 when the same row includes three sub-pixel units 10 of different colors.
[0054] For example, between any two adjacent data lines 20, only subpixel units of two different colors are arranged.
[0055] For example, one pixel unit may include six sub-pixel units (six sub-pixel units within the dashed frame in FIG. 1), which is suitable for manufacturing UHD (Ultra High Definition) display devices. The smaller the interval between adjacent data lines 20, the more pixel units there are in a unit area, and reducing the interval between adjacent data lines 20 can increase the PPI (Pixels Per Inch) of the touch display substrate.
[0056] For example, each data line 20 is connected to the pixel unit switch 11 of the sub-pixel unit 10 of the same color, which can conveniently achieve column-inversion when displaying a monochrome screen.
[0057] 1, each data line 20 is connected only to the pixel unit switches 11 of the sub-pixel units 10 of the same color and located on both sides of the data line 20. Therefore, when displaying a monochrome screen, it is only necessary to turn on the data line 20 connected to the sub-pixel unit 10 corresponding to the color to be displayed, for example, when displaying a red screen, it is only necessary to turn on two data lines 20, S1 and S4, which is simple to implement and convenient to operate.
[0058] 6 is another partial structural schematic diagram of a touch display substrate provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional schematic diagram along line BB in FIG. 6. As shown in FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, in the touch display substrate, a first data line 21 includes a bus line 212 and two branch lines 211 each connected to the bus line 212, a touch signal line 30 is located between the two branch lines 211, one of the two branch lines 211 is connected to a pixel unit switch 11 located at a first end of the touch signal line 30, and the other of the two branch lines 211 is connected to a pixel unit switch 11 located at a second end of the touch signal line 30, and the first end and the second end are opposite sides of the touch signal line 30. By providing the first data line 21 with two branch lines 211, each of the two branch lines 211 is connected to a pixel unit switch 11 at one end of the touch signal line 30 only, thereby avoiding the crossing of the touch signal line 30 and the pixel unit switch 11.
[0059] 6, the two branch lines 211 extend in the same direction, and both ends of the two branch lines 211 are connected to each other to form a closed frame structure, and the touch signal line 30 is located inside the frame structure. The two bus lines 212 are both connected to the frame structure. Since the touch signal line 30 is located inside the frame, it is necessary to open a via to draw out the touch signal line 30.
[0060] In the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 2, the extension direction of each touch signal line 30 and each data line are the same, and the distance between the data line 20 closest to the touch signal line 30 and the touch signal line 30 is equal at every point, which makes it convenient to install the data line 20 and the touch signal line 30, and avoids the situation where the distance between the data line 20 and a part of the touch signal line 30 is small and electric charges are accumulated in a part. For example, the extension direction of the first data line 21 and the extension direction of the touch signal line 30 are the same, and the distance between the first data line 21 and the touch signal line 30 is equal at every point. In addition, in the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 2, the data line 20 does not have a branch line, and its area of normal projection on the base substrate 1 is smaller, which is favorable to increasing the aperture ratio of the pixel unit and favorable to reducing the energy consumption of the display substrate under the same brightness of the display substrate. The touch display substrate shown in FIG. 2 has an aperture ratio that is 20% higher than that of the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 4. Experiments and tests have shown that when the same monochrome screen is displayed and the brightness is the same, the energy consumption of the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 2 is about 20% lower than that of the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 4.
[0061] An embodiment of the present disclosure further provides a display device including any of the touch display substrates shown in Figures 1 to 7. For example, the display device may be any product or part having a display function, such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a television, a monitor, a notebook computer, a digital photo frame, or a navigation system.
[0062] By providing the touch signal line and the data line in the same layer, the parasitic capacitance between the data line and the touch signal line can be reduced, and the process can be simplified by eliminating the need for an insulating layer between them. In addition, the touch signal line and the data line are insulated from each other to prevent a short circuit between the touch signal line and the data line.
[0063] FIG. 8 is a flowchart of a method for manufacturing a touch display substrate provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, and the method is applicable to the manufacturing of the touch display substrate shown in FIGS. 1 to 7. As shown in FIG. 8, the manufacturing method may include the following steps.
[0064] S11. Form a plurality of pixel unit switches on a base substrate.
[0065] Each pixel unit switch belongs to a different pixel unit respectively. Each pixel unit in each row of sub-pixel units is arranged in alignment. For every two adjacent rows of sub-pixel units, between the sub-pixel units in one row of sub-pixel units and the sub-pixel units adjacent to it and located in another row of sub-pixel units, the positions of X sub-pixel units are shifted in the row direction, where 0 < X < 1, for example, X may be 0.5. For every two adjacent rows of sub-pixel units, the sub-pixel units in one row of sub-pixel units and the sub-pixel units adjacent to it and located in another row of sub-pixel units have different colors.
[0066] S12. Form a first insulating layer on the base substrate on which a plurality of pixel unit switches are formed.
[0067] S13. Form a first patterning layer on the first insulating layer.
[0068] The first patterning layer has data lines and touch signal lines spaced apart from each other. For example, the data lines are connected to the pixel unit switches located in sub-pixel units of different rows. For example, the data lines are located on both sides in the row direction and are connected to the pixel unit switches located in sub-pixel units of different rows.
[0069] S14. Form a second insulating layer on the first patterning layer.
[0070] S15. Form pixel unit electrodes on the second insulating layer.
[0071] Each pixel unit electrode is connected to a pixel unit switch.
[0072] By providing the touch signal line and the data line in the same layer, the parasitic capacitance between the data line and the touch signal line can be reduced, and the process can be simplified by eliminating the need for an insulating layer between them. In addition, the touch signal line and the data line are insulated from each other to prevent a short circuit between the touch signal line and the data line.
[0073] Figure 9 is another flow chart of the manufacturing method of a touch display substrate provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, which is also applicable to the manufacturing of the touch display substrate shown in Figures 1 to 3. The manufacturing method will be described in detail below in combination with Figures 10 to 16. As shown in Figure 9, the manufacturing method may include the following steps:
[0074] S21, forming a TFT on a base substrate.
[0075] For example, a top-gate TFT may be formed on the base substrate, or a bottom-gate TFT may be formed. As shown in Fig. 10, a bottom-gate TFT is fabricated on the base substrate 8000, the TFT includes a gate 8113 disposed on the base substrate 8000, a gate insulating layer 8002 disposed on the gate 8113, and an active layer disposed on the gate insulating layer 8002, the active layer has a drain region 8111 and a source region 8112 separated from each other, and a channel region 8114 located between the drain region 8111 and the source region 8112, and the normal projection of the drain region 8111 and the source region 8112 on the base substrate 8000 is located outside the normal projection of the gate 8113 on the base substrate 8000.
[0076] A plurality of TFTs are arranged in an array on the base substrate 8000 to meet the arrangement manner of the sub-pixel units of the touch display substrate to be manufactured.
[0077] For example, a low-temperature polysilicon TFT may be used.
[0078] S22: forming a first insulating layer on the base substrate on which the TFTs are formed.
[0079] For example, the material of the first insulating layer 8010 may include nitrides, non-metal oxides, such as SiN x Non-metallic oxides include, but are not limited to, SiO x Including but not limited to:
[0080] S23, fabricating a first via in the first insulating layer.
[0081] As shown in FIG. 11, the first via 8011 penetrates the first insulating layer 8010 and is located directly above the source region 8112 of the TFT so that a data line to be fabricated in a subsequent step is electrically connected to the source region 8112 through the first via 8011.
[0082] For example, the first via 8011 may be fabricated by performing a patterning step through the first insulating layer 8010 .
[0083] S24: forming a first patterning layer on the first insulating layer.
[0084] For example, the first patterning layer may also be fabricated by a patterning process.
[0085] 12, the first patterning layer has a plurality of data lines 8200 and a plurality of touch signal lines 8300, where the touch signal lines 8300 and the data lines 8200 are spaced apart from each other. The data lines 8200 are located directly above the first vias 8011 to electrically connect to the source regions 8112 of the TFTs through the first vias.
[0086] For example, the data line 8200 and the touch signal line 8300 may be made of a metal material such as metal Al, or may be made of a transparent conductive material such as ITO (Indium tin oxide).
[0087] When manufacturing the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 6 , the first data line includes a bus line and two branch lines both connected to the bus line, the touch signal line is located between the two branch lines, one of the two branch lines is connected to a source region of a TFT that is located at a first end of the touch signal line through a first via, and the other of the two branch lines is connected to a source region of a TFT that is located at a second end of the touch signal line through a first via, the first end and the second end are opposite sides of the touch signal line.
[0088] S25, forming a second insulating layer on the first patterned layer.
[0089] For example, the material of the second insulating layer 8020 may be, but is not limited to, a resin.
[0090] S26, fabricating a second via in the second insulating layer.
[0091] The method for making the second via may be the same as the method for making the first via.
[0092] As shown in FIG. 13, the second via 8021 penetrates the second insulating layer 8020 and is located directly above the touch signal line 8300 so that the touch detection electrode to be fabricated in a subsequent step is connected to the touch signal line 8300 through the second via 8021.
[0093] S27, forming a touch sensing electrode on the second insulating layer.
[0094] For example, the touch sensing electrodes may be fabricated by a patterning process.
[0095] As shown in FIG. 14, the touch detection electrode 8310 is electrically connected to the touch signal line 8300 through a second via 8021.
[0096] For example, the touch sensing electrode 8310 may be made of a transparent conductive material such as ITO to enhance light transmittance.
[0097] S28: forming a third insulating layer on the base substrate on which the touch detection electrodes are formed.
[0098] For example, the material of the third insulating layer 8030 may be silicon nitride, and the thickness of the third insulating layer 8030 may be 100 nm to 200 nm.
[0099] S29, fabricate the third via.
[0100] As shown in FIG. 15, the third via 8031 is located directly above the drain region 8111 of the TFT and penetrates the third insulating layer 8030, the second insulating layer 8020, and the first insulating layer 8010 so that the pixel unit electrode to be fabricated in a subsequent step is electrically connected to the drain region 8111.
[0101] S30, fabricating pixel unit electrodes on the third insulating layer.
[0102] For example, the pixel unit electrode 8120 may be fabricated by a patterning process.
[0103] As shown in FIG. 16, the pixel unit electrode 8120 is electrically connected to the drain region 8111 through a third via 8031 .
[0104] For example, the pixel unit electrode 8120 may be made of a transparent conductive material such as ITO to improve light transmittance.
[0105] For example, when performing step S23, a via may also be fabricated in the first insulating layer 8010 at a location directly above the drain region 8111, so that when performing step S24, when fabricating the data line 8200 and the touch signal line 8300, a transfer electrode can be further fabricated in the first insulating layer 8010, and the transfer electrode is electrically connected to the drain region 8111 through a via located directly above the drain region 8111 in the first insulating layer 8010. 17, by simultaneously manufacturing the via 8031a in step S23 and the transfer electrode 8031b in step S24, the third via 8031 that needs to be processed in S29 can penetrate only the third insulating layer 8030 and the second insulating layer 8020, and the depth of the third via 8031 can be reduced to reduce the processing difficulty, ensure that the pixel unit electrode 8120 forms a stable electrical connection with the drain region 8111, and reduce the possibility of disconnection and contact failure. In addition, since the via 8031a can be manufactured simultaneously with the first via 8011, the transfer electrode 8131b can be manufactured simultaneously with the touch signal line 8300 and the data line 8200, and there is no need to add an additional process step.
[0106] 18 is a further flow chart of a method for manufacturing a touch display substrate provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, which is used to manufacture the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 4, and includes steps S41-S50, in which steps S41-S45 are respectively the same as steps S21-S25 described above, and therefore will not be described again here. Hereinafter, steps S46-S50 of the method will be described in combination with FIGS. 19-21.
[0107] S46, fabricating a fourth via in the second insulating layer.
[0108] The method for manufacturing the fourth via 9021 is the same as the method for manufacturing the second via 8021 described above.
[0109] As shown in FIG. 19, the fourth via 9021 is located directly above the drain region 9111 of the TFT and penetrates the second insulating layer 9020 and the first insulating layer 8010 so that the pixel unit electrode to be fabricated subsequently is electrically connected to the drain region 9111.
[0110] S47, forming a pixel unit electrode on the second insulating layer.
[0111] For example, the pixel unit electrode 9120 may be fabricated by a patterning process.
[0112] As shown in FIG. 20, the pixel unit electrode 9120 is electrically connected to the drain region 9111 through a fourth via 9021 .
[0113] S48: forming a third insulating layer on the base substrate on which the pixel unit electrodes are formed;
[0114] For example, the fabrication of the third insulating layer 9030 can refer to the fabrication of the third insulating layer 8030 described above, and therefore will not be described again here.
[0115] S49, create the fifth via.
[0116] As shown in FIG. 21 , a fifth via 9031 is fabricated directly above the touch signal line 9300 and penetrates the third insulating layer 9030 and the second insulating layer 9020 so that the touch detection electrode fabricated in a subsequent step can be connected to the touch signal line 9300 through the fifth via 9031.
[0117] S50, fabricating a touch sensing electrode on the third insulating layer.
[0118] For example, the touch sensing electrodes 9030 may be created by a patterning technique.
[0119] As shown in FIG. 22, the touch detection electrode 9030 is connected to the touch signal line 9300 through a fifth via 9031.
[0120] When manufacturing the touch display substrate shown in FIG. 4, the above-mentioned method of adding transfer electrodes can be similarly used to reduce the possibility of disconnection or poor contact, which will not be described again here.
