Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an improvement to a roll paper holder which holds a roll of paper such as toilet paper so that it can be rotated (unwound), has a tab at the tip of the paper hanging down below the holder, and allows the roll paper to be unwound in sequence while holding the tab, and then separates this unwound portion (used portion) from the succeeding paper portion, leaving the next tab hanging. [Background technology]

[0002] The applicant previously proposed a roll paper holder comprising a holder body, a paper receiver that rotatably holds a roll paper within the holder body, and a cutter that cuts the paper with a gripping margin after a leading end of the roll paper has been unwound to a predetermined length, the holder body having a paper through hole provided in its bottom plate through which the leading end of the paper passes, the leading end of the roll paper passes through the paper through hole and hangs down, the hanging portion of the paper forming the gripping margin for the paper, and a cutter provided in the bottom plate of the holder body and disposed below the cutter. We have proposed a roll paper holder which further comprises a paper peeling means which is lifted when the tip of the paper roll is unwound toward the cutting edge of the cutter, and which acts to move the picking tab away from the cutter after the paper roll is separated from the picking tab by the cutter, and which consists of a leaf spring-shaped paper peeling piece attached to the underside of the bottom plate, and which is biased so that its tip is moved away from the underside of the bottom plate and positioned downward, except when the paper is being unwound (see Patent Document 1).

[0003] According to this proposed roll paper holder, the tip of the roll paper simply passes through a paper through hole provided in the bottom plate of the holder body and hangs down, simplifying the structure for forming the gripping tab for the paper, and the gripping tab can be formed with a simple and inexpensive structure.Furthermore, the paper can be loaded by simply placing it on the paper receptacle of the holder, which has the advantage of being easy to handle.

[0004] However, in the paper roll holder proposed above, when the paper roll is consumed and its diameter becomes smaller, the paper roll becomes caught on the edge of the paper through hole and cannot be smoothly unwound. This phenomenon occurs similarly even when the paper roll is received between two rollers, as shown in Figures 9 and 10 of Patent Document 1.

[0005] Furthermore, when replacing the roll paper, there was a drawback in that when loading new larger diameter roll paper into the roll paper receiver of the holder, the curved tip of the cover got in the way, making it difficult to load the new roll paper. [0008] The first basic means for solving the problem of the present invention is a paper holder comprising a holder body, a paper receiving unit for rotatably holding a roll of paper within the holder body, paper cutting means for cutting the paper leaving a tab after a leading end of the paper has been unwound to a predetermined length, a tab through portion through which the tab of the paper passes so as to hang down from the paper receiving unit, and a cover pivotally supported on the holder body so as to cover the paper loaded in the holder body, the holder body comprising an outer frame having a back wall, both side walls and both side inner flanges extending horizontally from lower ends of the both side walls, and an inner frame having a back wall and both side walls and mounted on the both side inner flanges of the outer frame, the paper receiving unit being pivotally supported on the inner frame of the holder body and including a plurality of rolls of paper on which the paper is placed, the rolls of paper being arranged in an arc so as to be engaged with a partial circumferential surface of the unconsumed roll of paper. (Except for 2) the handle pass-through portion is formed between the paper roll holder and the rear wall of the inner frame of the holder body; the cover is pivotally supported near the front ends of both side walls of the inner frame of the holder body and closed so that its free end engages with the upper end of the rear wall of the outer frame of the holder body; and the paper cutting means is attached near the front end of the holder body.

[0009] The second problem-solving means of the present invention is to provide a roll paper holder in which, in the first problem-solving means, the back wall and both side walls of the outer frame of the holder body are integral, and the back wall and both side walls of the inner frame of the holder body are integral.

[0010] The third problem-solving means of the present invention is to provide a roll paper holder in which, in the first problem-solving means, the outer frame of the holder body consists of a first outer frame half having an integral front and rear wall portion on one side wall and a second outer frame half having an integral rear wall portion on the other side wall, the front and rear wall portions of the first outer frame half and the rear wall portion of the second outer frame half overlap front to back and are fixed together to form a rear wall, and the inner frame of the holder body consists of a first inner frame half having an integral front and rear wall portion on one side wall and a second inner frame half having an integral rear wall portion on the other side wall, and the front and rear wall portion of the first inner frame half and the rear wall portion of the second inner frame half overlap front to back and are fixed together to form a rear wall.

[0011] The fourth problem-solving means of the present invention is to provide a roll paper holder in the first problem-solving means, wherein the outer frame of the holder body has an inner rear flange extending horizontally inward from the lower end of its rear wall on which the rear wall of the inner frame is placed.

[0015] The eighth solution to the problem of the present invention is to provide a roll paper holder according to the sixth solution to the problem, wherein the paper cutting means is a plastic cutter having an arc-shaped recess between sharp-angled teeth.

[0016] The ninth solution to the problem of the present invention is to provide a roll paper holder according to the sixth solution to the problem, which has a cover receiver attached to the upper side of the paper cutting means and receives the cover when the cover is opened.

[0017] The tenth means for solving the problem of the present invention is the first means for solving the problem, (Except for 2) The object of the present invention is to provide a roll paper holder comprising an inner pipe which passes through a through hole in both side walls of the inner frame and is prevented from being pulled out by both side walls of the outer frame, and an outer pipe which is rotatably fitted into the inner pipe and is positioned between both side walls of the inner frame. Effect of the Invention

[0018] According to the present invention, the roll paper is placed on a plurality of rollers arranged in an arc shape so that their partial circumferential surfaces engage with each other, so that the paper does not get caught on the edges of the holes through which it hangs down, and the paper can be unwound smoothly without experiencing the unwinding resistance that tends to occur, particularly when the diameter of the roll paper becomes smaller.

[0019] Furthermore, since the cover is pivotally supported on the lower edge of the holder body, rather than on the upper edge, the paper roll can be loaded without interference with the bent tip portion of the cover.

[0020] Furthermore, the multiple rollers that receive the paper roll are composed of an outer pipe that forms the peripheral surface of the roller and an inner pipe that supports this outer pipe so that it can rotate freely, so the paper roll holder does not become heavy, and both ends of the inner pipe pass through the through holes in the inner frame of the holder body and are prevented from slipping out by the outer frame, so no special roller support means is required and the rollers can be supported with a simple structure. FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a modified inner frame of the paper wrapper holder of FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0022] FIG. 1 shows a roll paper holder 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention. This roll paper holder 10 comprises a holder body 20, a paper receiver 30 which holds a roll paper 1 within the holder body 20 so that it can be freely rotated (unwound), a paper cutting means 40 which unwinds a tip 1L of the paper 1 by a predetermined length and then cuts the paper 1 leaving a picking margin 1P, a gripping margin penetration portion 50 (see FIG. 4) through which the picking margin 1P of the paper 1 passes so as to hang down from the paper receiver 30, and a cover 70 which is pivotally supported on the holder body 20 so as to cover the paper 1 loaded in the holder body 20.

[0023] The holder body 20 is composed of an outer frame 22 which is U-shaped when viewed from above, and an inner frame 26 which is also U-shaped and attached closely to the inside of the outer frame 22 but has a smaller height.

[0024] 2, the outer frame 22 has a back wall 23, both side walls 24R, 24L, a back inner flange 23T extending horizontally inward from the lower end of the back wall 23, and side inner flanges 24RT, 24LT extending horizontally inward from the lower ends of both side walls 24R, 24L. In the illustrated embodiment, the outer frame 20 is composed of a first outer frame half 22H1 having a front and rear wall portion 23F integral with one side wall 24R, and a second outer frame half 22H2 having a rear wall portion 23B integral with the other side wall 24L, and the front and rear wall portion 23F of the first outer frame portion 22H1 and the rear wall portion 23B of the second outer frame half 22H2 are overlapped in the front and rear and fixed together. When the outer frame 20 is formed from a metal such as stainless steel, the front and rear wall portions 23F, 23B are fixed together by an appropriate means such as spot welding to form the rear wall 23.

[0025] On the other hand, the inner frame 26 has a back wall 27 and both side walls 28R, 28L as shown in Fig. 3. In the illustrated embodiment, like the outer frame 22, the inner frame 26 is composed of a first inner frame half 26H1 having a front and rear wall portion 27F integral with one side wall 28R and a second inner frame half 26H2 having a rear wall portion 27B integral with the other side wall 28L, and the front and rear wall portion 27F of the first inner frame portion 26H1 and the rear wall portion 27B of the second inner frame half 26H2 overlap each other in the front and rear and are fixed together to form the rear wall 27. When the inner frame 20 is also made of a metal such as stainless steel, the front and rear rear wall portions 27F, 27B are fixed together by an appropriate means such as spot welding to form the rear wall 27.

[0026] 1, the lower end faces of the back wall 27 and both side walls 28R, 28L of the inner frame 26 are placed on the back inner flange 23T and side inner flange 24RT of the outer frame 22, and the back wall 23 and both side walls 24R, 24L of the outer frame 22 and the back wall 27 and both side walls 28R, 28L of the inner frame 26 are fixed to each other by an appropriate means such as spot welding to form the holder body 20. Note that the holder body 20 does not have a bottom wall, so the inside bottoms of the inner and outer frames are open.

[0027] As shown in FIG. 4, the paper roll receiver 30 is rotatably supported by the inner frame 26 of the holder body 20, and is arranged in an arc shape so that a partial peripheral surface 1PS (see FIG. 1) of the unused roll paper 1 is engaged with the paper roll receiver 30. The paper roll receiver 30 is a plurality of paper rolls 1 on which the unused roll paper 1 is placed. (Except for 2) Roller (Hereinafter referred to simply as "multiple rollers")In the illustrated embodiment, the paper roll receiver 30 is made up of ten rollers 32, but the number can be any number so long as the circumferential surface of the roll paper 1 is supported even when the diameter of the roll paper 1 is reduced as the roll paper 1 is consumed, and the interval between the rollers 32 is set to a value such that the roll paper 1 does not get caught between adjacent rollers 32 even when the diameter of the roll paper 1 is reduced. As shown in FIG. 5, the rollers 32 are made up of an inner pipe 34 which passes through the opposing through holes 28RH, 28LH of the side walls 28R, 28L of the inner frame 26 and is secured by the inner wall surfaces of the side walls 24R, 24L of the outer frame 24, and an outer pipe 36 which is rotatably fitted to the inner pipe 34 and is disposed between the side walls 28R, 28L of the inner frame 26. Thus, the paper roll receiver 30 is supported by the wall surfaces of the through holes 28RH, 28LH of the inner frame 26 and is secured by the inner wall surfaces of the side walls 24R, 24L of the outer frame 22. In the present invention, the number of rollers is not limited to two because two rollers cannot be arranged in an arc shape.

[0028] 4, the gripping margin passing portion 50 is formed in an opening between the paper roll receiver 30 and the rear wall 27 of the inner frame 26 of the holder body 20 (the previously described portion where the bottom of the holder body 20 is open). Therefore, the tip 1L of the roll paper 1 passes through the gripping margin passing portion 50 from the rear of the paper roll receiver 30 and hangs down to form a gripping margin 1P.

[0029] As shown in Fig. 6, the paper cutting means 40 is attached across the support pieces 28RS, 28LS attached inwardly to the front ends of both side walls 28R, 28L of the inner frame 26 of the holder body 20. The support pieces 28RS, 28LS are made of stainless steel L-shaped members, and their vertical parts are fixed to both side walls 28R, 28L by spot welding or the like. The paper cutting means 40 is made of a cutter 44 attached on a support plate 42, and the paper cutting means 40 is fixed to the support pieces 28RS, 28LS by screws 46R, 46L via a cover receiver 78, which will be described later.

[0030] The cutter 44 may be a metal sawtooth cutter 44A as shown in FIG. 9(A), or it may be a plastic cutter 44B having an arc-shaped recess (valley) 44BR between sharp-angled teeth 44BS as shown in FIG. 9(B).

[0031] 7(A), the paper peeling means 60 is provided below the paper cutting means 40, and in the illustrated embodiment, this paper peeling means 60 is made up of a V-shaped leaf spring paper peeling piece 62 attached to the underside of the support plate 42 of the paper cutting means 40. The paper peeling piece 62 is fixed by the support pieces 28RS, 28LS with the screws 46R, 46L so that its horizontal part 62H is positioned on the underside of the support plate 42, and the inclined spring piece 62S is biased so as to open downward except when the paper is being fed out. As shown in Figure 7(B) when the picking edge 1P of the roll paper 1 is paid out towards the cutter 44 of the paper cutting means 40, this paper peeling means 60 pushes up the inclined spring piece 62S by the picking edge 1P, and when the used portion of the paper is cut off by the cutter 44, the urging force of the inclined spring piece 62S which tries to return downward acts to separate the next picking edge 1P from the cutter 44. This principle is exactly the same as the paper peeling means previously proposed by the applicant in Patent No. 7144560 (see Figure 7(B) of the same patent).

[0032] This paper peeling means 60 is particularly necessary when the cutter 44 of the paper cutting means 40 is the sawtooth cutter 44A shown in Figure 9(A); however, if the cutter 44 is a plastic cutter 44B having an arc-shaped recess (valley) 44BR between sharp-angled teeth 44BS shown in Figure 9(B), the leading edge of the succeeding paper can automatically separate from the cutter 44 when the used portion including the gripping margin is cut off from the succeeding paper portion, so the paper peeling means 60 is not necessarily required, but may be used to ensure that the paper is peeled off from the cutter.

[0033] As shown in Figures 1 and 7, the cover 70 is pivotally supported near the front ends of both side walls 28R, 28L of the inner frame 26 of the holder body 20, and both sides of the cover 70 engage along the upper surfaces of both side walls 24R, 24L of the outer frame 22 of the holder body 20, and the cover is closed so that its free end engages with the upper end of the rear wall 23 of the outer frame 22 of the holder body 20. This cover 70 has a pivot shaft 76 consisting of an outer pipe 72 attached to the narrow front end of the cover 70 and an inner pipe 74 penetrating the outer pipe 72 so as to rotatably support the outer pipe 72, and this inner pipe 74 passes through a through hole 28Rh formed opposite to both side walls 28R, 28L of the inner frame 26 of the holder main body 20 and is prevented from slipping out by the inner wall surfaces of both side walls 28R, 28L of the outer frame 22 of the holder main body 20, and both ends of the outer pipe 72 face the inner surfaces of both side walls 28R, 28L of the inner frame 26. This structure is the same as the pivot structure of the roller 32 of the paper roll receiver 30 shown in Figure 5.

[0034] The cover 70 includes a cover receiver 78 that is attached to the upper side of the paper cutting means 40 and receives the cover 70 when the cover 70 is opened. As shown in Figures 6 and 7, the cover receiver 78 is made of an L-shaped member, and its horizontal part 78H is placed on the support plate 42 of the paper cutting means 40 and fixed to the support pieces 28RS, 28LS of the inner frame 26 by screws 46R, 46L.

[0035] As shown in Fig. 1, the roll paper holder 10 of this embodiment stores the roll paper 1 so that it is placed on the paper receiver 30 in the holder body 20 with the cover 70 open, and at that time, the tip 1L of the paper 1 hangs down through the gripping margin passing portion 50, and this hanging portion becomes the gripping margin 1P. In this state, the cover 70 is closed. To remove the used portion of the paper roll 1, the gripping margin 1P is fed horizontally along the bottom (opening) of the holder body 20, and while the inclined spring piece 62S of the paper peeling means 60 pushes it up so that it approaches the horizontal portion 62H (see Fig. 7(B)), it is pulled towards the cutter 44 of the paper cutting means 40, and the cutter 44 cuts the used portion to separate it from the subsequent paper portion. In this way, when the used portion is cut off, the inclined spring piece 62S of the paper peeling means 60 is released, so that the succeeding portion of the paper is released from the cutter 44 and hangs down from the holder body 20 as the next pick-up margin 1P.

[0036] Another embodiment of the present invention is shown in Figures 10 and 11. In this embodiment, the outer frame 22 of the holder body 20 has its back wall 23 and both side walls 24R, 24L formed integrally as shown in Figure 10, and the inner frame 26 of the holder body 20 is the same as the previously described embodiment except that its back wall 27 and both side walls 28R, 28L are formed integrally as shown in Figure 11.

[0037] In any embodiment of the present invention, the roll paper 1 is placed on a paper receiver 30 consisting of a plurality of rollers 32 arranged in an arc shape so that their partial peripheral surfaces 1PS engage with each other, so that the paper does not get caught on the edges of the hole through which it hangs down, and is not subjected to the unwinding resistance that tends to occur, particularly when the diameter of the paper roll is reduced, and the paper can be unwound smoothly.

[0038] Furthermore, since the cover 70 is pivotally supported on the lower edge of the holder body 20, rather than on the upper edge, the paper roll can be loaded without interference with the curved tip portion of the cover 70.

[0039] Furthermore, the multiple rollers 32 that receive the paper roll 1 are made up of hollow members consisting of an outer pipe 36 that forms their circumferential surface and an inner pipe 34 that supports the outer pipe 36 so that it can rotate freely, so that the paper roll receiver 30 does not become heavy, and both ends of the inner pipe 34 pass through holes in the inner frame 26 of the holder body 20 and are prevented from slipping out by the outer frame 22, so no special roller support means is required and the rollers 32 can be supported with a simple structure. [Industrial Applicability]

[0040] In a roll paper holder in which the gripping edge of the roll paper passes through a paper-penetrating portion of the holder body and hangs down, the paper receiver is supported so as to be freely rotatable (reeled out) on an inner frame attached inside the outer frame of the holder body, and is composed of a number of rollers arranged in an arc so as to engage with a partial circumferential surface of the paper. Therefore, even if the roll paper becomes smaller in diameter as it is consumed, the paper does not get caught on the edge of the paper-penetrating portion, which would interfere with the paper being fed out, and the paper can be fed out smoothly.Furthermore, because the multiple rollers are composed of inner and outer pipes, the paper receiver does not become heavy and is easy to handle, making it highly applicable in industry.
