BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
[0012] FIGS. 1 to 3 are views showing the first embodiment of the fishing rod (mobile rod) according to the present invention. The fishing rod 1 shown in the figure is configured in a pull-out type in which a plurality of rod bodies 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D, 5E are stored in the base rod body 3 and are sequentially pulled out and joined. The number of rod bodies (number of joined bodies) stored inside the base rod body 3 is arbitrary. In the configuration shown in the figure, the rod body 5E with the smallest diameter is the tip rod body.
[0013] The base rod body 3 and the plurality of rod bodies 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D, 5E are equipped with fishing line guides 8A, 8B, 8C for guiding the fishing line. The fishing rod of this embodiment is planned to use a spinning reel among various fishing reels. Since the guide legs are high, the fishing line guide 8A disposed on the most proximal side is configured to be a collapsible type. Also, the fishing line guide 8B includes those fixed to the tip of the rod body by a line stopper or the like and those that slide along the rod body and are fixed at a predetermined position (floating guide). Further, the fishing line guide 8C is a top guide fixed to the tip of the rod body (tip rod body) 5E.
[0014] A reel seat 9 having a reel leg mounting portion 9a is disposed on the proximal end side of the base rod body 3. A pair of hoods for clamping and fixing the reel legs placed on the reel leg mounting portion 9a are provided before and after in the axial direction of the reel seat 9. The pair of hoods of this embodiment is composed of a fixed hood 11 provided on the rear side in the axial direction of the reel leg mounting portion 9a and a movable hood 12 provided on the front side in the axial direction and moving in the axial direction. Incidentally, the original rod 3 and the reel sheet 9 may be integrally formed, or may be configured as separate bodies and integrated. Also, the amount of protrusion from the moving hood portion of the original rod 3 is arbitrary. Further, as will be described later, the moving hood may be provided behind the reel leg mounting portion 9a, or the moving hood may be disposed on both sides of the reel leg mounting portion 9a.
[0015] The fixed hood 11 is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the proximal end side of the original rod 3 and has a receiving hole 11a that opens toward the reel leg mounting portion 9a. The moving hood 12 has an opening 12a that opens toward the reel leg mounting portion 9a. The moving hood 12 is provided with an operation nut 12A formed with a female screw portion that engages with a male screw portion 3A provided in front of the moving hood 12 (hood region) of the original rod 3. In this case, the operation nut 12A and the moving hood 12 are connected by a known engagement structure, and when the operation nut 12A is rotated and moved in the axial direction, the moving hood 12 is moved closer to / away from the fixed hood 11 without being rotated together.
[0016] Thereby, a reel leg (not shown) is placed on the reel leg mounting portion 9a and the rear side is inserted into the receiving hole 11a of the fixed hood 11. By rotating the operation nut 12A, the reel leg is clamped and fixed by the moving hood 12 and the fixed hood 11. The male screw portion 3A that engages with the operation nut 12A is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the original rod 3, but it may be formed on the outer peripheral surface of a tubular reel sheet (cylindrical sheet body) that is externally fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the original rod 3.
[0017] The original rod 3 is formed with a protruding portion 3B that protrudes axially on the rear side of the portion (fixed hood 11) that fixes the reel leg. Since the plurality of rods 5A to 5E are stored in the protruding portion 3B, it has a predetermined length in the axial direction. Also, a lower plug (bottom plug) 15 is detachably attached to the proximal end of the protruding portion 3B to prevent the stored rods 5A to 5E from coming out. By removing this lower plug 15, it becomes possible to maintain each rod.
[0018] Further, in the present embodiment, a male screw portion (male screw portion for the rear grip) 3C is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the protruding portion 3B. This male screw portion 3C is formed adjacent to the fixed hood 11 (formed in the hood region), and by screwing the female screw portion of the following cover member 20, a rear grip is configured by the cover member 20.
[0019] With respect to the original rod 3, as shown in FIG. 1, a cylindrical cover member 20 that functions to prevent the protrusion of a plurality of rods 5A to 5E housed in the original rod is detachably attached along the axial direction. The cover member 20 of the present embodiment is formed in a cylindrical shape and has a large diameter as it moves toward the tip, and the tip portion is in a closed state (a detachable lid 21 is attached) so that a plurality of rods do not protrude. Further, the cover member 20 can be formed of a hard material such as fiber-reinforced resin, wood, or metal to protect the rod.
[0020] The lid 21 is preferably formed of a flexible member such as EVA so that the fishing line guide and the tips of the respective rods are not damaged even when the rods 5A to 5E are applied. Further, the lid 21 may be detachable from the cover member 20 by press-fitting, screwing, etc., or may be configured to be fixed by adhesion or the like. Alternatively, the lid 21 may be configured to be integrated with the cover member 20.
[0021] As described above, the cover member 20 not only functions to prevent the protrusion of the plurality of rods 5A to 5E but also functions as a rear grip when attached to the protruding portion 3B of the original rod 3, and is configured to be fixed to the original rod 3 on the front side and the rear side. That is, as shown in FIG. 1, by fixing the cover member 20 on the front side, it becomes a storage state for preventing the protrusion of the rod, and as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, by fixing the cover member 20 on the rear side, it becomes a rear grip state.
[0022] The original rod 3 and the cover member 20 are provided with an adjustment mechanism 50 that enables adjustment of the storage dimensions by changing the attachment position (the position fixed in the axial direction) of the cover member 20 when the cover member 20 is attached to the original rod 3. That is, when in the stored state as shown in Fig. 1(b), the fixing position of the cover member 20 is configured to be adjustable in the axial direction, so that no gap is created between the inner surface of the bags when stored in the bags.
[0023] The fixing means on the front side and the rear side of the cover member 20 is not limited, but in this embodiment, a female screw portion 20A is formed on the inner surface of the opening region of the cover member 20, and the female screw portion 20A is configured to be fixed by screwing it onto the male screw portions 3A and 3C of the original rod 3. That is, the fixing means may be configured by press-fitting or the like, but by using a screw connection, the fixed state can be reliably maintained without looseness.
[0024] By adopting the above-described screw structure for the fixing means on the front side and the rear side of the cover member 20 with respect to the original rod, the adjustment mechanism 50 can be composed of the female screw portion 20A formed on the cover member 20 and the male screw portion 3A where the operation nut 12A of the moving hood 12 for fixing the reel leg is disposed. That is, the fixing position of the cover member 20 can be adjusted within the axial length range of the male screw portion 3A, thereby enabling adjustment of the storage dimensions. Also, in this embodiment, the opening edge of the cover member 20 is configured to abut against the tip edge of the operation nut 12A, so that the fixed state of the cover member 20 is maintained without moving toward the proximal end side in the axial direction.
[0025] Next, with reference to Figs. 1 to 4, the usage method of the above-described fishing rod will be described. When the fishing rod 1 is not in use (when stored), as shown in Fig. 1, the cover member 20 covers (is attached to) the front side of the male screw portion 3A of the original rod 3 by screwing the female screw portion 20A thereof to the male screw portion 3A on the front side of the original rod 3. Thereby, the plurality of rod segments accommodated in the original rod 3 do not pop out, and the fishing line guides 8A to 8C located at the tip portions of the respective rod segments and the tips of the respective rod segments are protected by the lid 21 made of a flexible member. Further, in this state, the lower stopper 15 prevents each rod segment from coming out backward.
[0026] During such storage, the adjustment mechanism 50 enables adjustment of the storage dimensions by changing the attachment position (fixed position in the axial direction) of the cover member 20.
[0027] Figs. 4(a-1, a-2) are diagrams showing the shortest storage state. In this example, by rotating the operation nut 12A in the direction of the arrow and moving the moving hood 12 to the closest position to the fixed hood 11, the exposed length of the male screw portion 3A can be increased. In this state, by rotating the cover member 20 so that it is at the most proximal end side and bringing the open end edge of the cover member into contact with the tip edge of the operation nut 12A, the fixed position of the cover member 20 in the axial direction shifts to the proximal end side of the original rod, and the storage dimensions can be shortened (the axial length A of the reel leg mounting portion 9a is the shortest).
[0028] Figs. 4(b-1, b-2) are diagrams showing the longest storage state. In this example, by rotating the operation nut 12A in the direction of the arrow and moving the moving hood 12 away from the fixed hood 11, the exposed length of the male screw portion 3A can be shortened. Regarding this exposed length, it is sufficient that the female screw portion 20A of the cover member 20 can be screwed and fixed. In this state, by rotating the cover member 20 and bringing the open end edge of the cover member into contact with the tip edge of the operation nut 12A, the fixed position of the cover member 20 in the axial direction shifts to the front side of the original rod, and the storage dimensions can be lengthened (the axial length B of the reel leg mounting portion 9a is the longest).
[0029] As described above, since the adjustment mechanism 50 of the present embodiment uses the male screw portion 3A of the movable hood 12 and the female screw portion 20A of the cover member 20, simplification can be achieved. Also, since the opening edge of the cover member 20 is applied to the tip edge of the operation nut 12A to fix its position, a stable fixed state can be obtained without the cover member moving in the axial direction.
[0030] Note that the cover member 20 and the operation nut 12A are preferably formed so as to be substantially flush in the fixed state. In this way, when the cover member 20 and the operation nut 12A are flush, it becomes possible to make it difficult for other objects to get caught when stored in bags or the like.
[0031] Also, it is preferable to provide a soft member 40 interposed between them on at least one of the opening edge of the cover member 12 and the tip edge of the operation nut 12A. The soft member 40 can be formed of, for example, plastic, rubber, etc. As shown in the figure, by attaching it to the opening edge of the cover member 20, when in the closed state, it can be firmly applied to the tip edge of the operation nut 12A to prevent rattling, and it is possible to prevent cracking of the opening edge of the cover member.
[0032] Note that in the above-described configuration, a ring nut (see FIGS. 8 and 9 described later) may be separately provided on the male screw portion 3A where the operation nut 12A is disposed. By providing such a ring nut, it can be applied to the opening edge of the cover member 20 screwed onto the male screw portion 3A. Therefore, the position of the cover member 20 can be fixed while the reel legs are fixed to the reel leg mounting portion 9a (without changing the position of the operation nut 12A). That is, with the reel fixed between the fixed hood 11 and the movable hood 12, by applying the ring nut to the opening edge of the cover member 20, it becomes possible to adjust the closing dimensions.
[0033] In the above-described configuration, when using the fishing rod 1, the cover member 20 is axially removed from the male screw portion 3A where the operation nut 12A is disposed. Then, as shown in FIG. 2, with the cover member 20 facing the opposite side, it is placed on the protruding portion 3B, and the female screw portion 20A of the cover member 20 is screwed onto the male screw portion 3C formed on the protruding portion 3B. In this state, the soft member 40 attached to the opening edge of the cover member 20 firmly contacts the rear edge of the fixed hood 11, preventing rattling, and preventing cracks or the like at the opening edge of the cover member.
[0034] As a result, as shown in FIGS. 2(b) and 3, the cover member 20 can function as a rear grip. Further, since the cover member 20 of the present embodiment is formed so that its diameter changes along the axial direction, when used as a grip, the diameter increases toward the rear side, making it possible to improve the grip performance.
[0035] In addition, in the above-described configuration, the position where the male screw portion 3C is provided with respect to the protruding portion 3B (the fixing position of the cover member 20) is arbitrary. For example, by forming it on the base end side of the protruding portion 3B, it is also possible to increase the length of the rear grip when used as a fishing rod.
[0036] Next, another embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the embodiment described below, parts having the same functions as those in the above-described first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed descriptions thereof are omitted.
[0037] FIGS. 5 and 6 are views showing a second embodiment, FIG. 5 is a view showing a state of use as a fishing rod, FIG. 6(a) is a view showing a short storage state, and FIG. 6(b) is a view showing a long storage state.
[0038] In this embodiment, a fixed hood 11 is provided on the front side (tip side) of the reel leg mounting portion 9a, and a movable hood 12 is provided on the rear side (base end side) thereof. The operation nut 12A of the movable hood 12 is screwed onto the male screw portion 3A formed on the protruding portion 3B of the original rod 3, and the movable hood 12 is moved in the axial direction by rotating the operation nut 12A.
[0039] On the inner surface of the opening portion at the tip of the cover member 20, a female screw portion 26 is formed and is configured to be screwed with the male screw portion 3A. In the opening portion of the cover member 20, a male screw portion 25 is further formed so as to protrude forward from the region where the female screw portion 26 is formed. This male screw portion 25 is used when attaching it in front of the original rod 3 to make it in the stored state, and constitutes the adjustment mechanism 50. Note that the male screw portion 25 is arranged in parallel with the female screw portion 26 in the axial direction, but it may be formed directly on the outer surface of the cover member 20 so as to overlap with the female screw portion 26.
[0040] A separate joining component 70 is attached to the fixed hood 11. This joining component 70 is fixed to the inner side in the radial direction of the fixed hood 11 and includes a cylindrical portion 71 whose diameter is enlarged on the front side of the fixed hood 11, and a female screw portion 72 that constitutes the adjustment mechanism 50 is formed on the inner surface of the cylindrical portion 71. That is, the female screw portion 72 is formed in the hood region and is configured to be screwed with the male screw portion 25 of the cover member 20.
[0041] According to the above configuration, by rotating the operation nut 12A to move the movable hood 12 in the axial direction to fix the reel to the reel leg mounting portion 9a, and screwing the female screw portion 26 of the cover member 20 onto the exposed male screw portion 3A, the cover member 20 can be made to function as a rear grip (see FIG. 5). Also, by removing the cover member 20 and turning it to the opposite side and screwing the male screw portion 25 onto the female screw portion 72 of the joining component 70, it can be made into the stored state. In this case, by shifting the screwing position of the male screw portion 25 of the cover member 20 and the female screw portion 72 of the joining component 70 in the axial direction, as shown in FIGS. 6(a) and (b), the stored dimensions can be adjusted. Note that FIG. 6(a) is a diagram showing the short stored state in which the cover member 20 is tightened most, and (b) is a diagram showing the long stored state in which screwing is performed on the end side.
[0042] FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a third embodiment, where (a) is a diagram showing a state of use as a fishing rod, and (b) is a diagram showing a stored state.
[0043] In this embodiment, connection structures for use as a fishing rod and for storage are provided on both sides of the cover member 20. Specifically, a female screw portion 26 is formed on one end side (the opening side of the above-described embodiment) of the cover member 20. This female screw portion 26 may be formed directly on the inner peripheral surface of the opening side of the cover member 20, or as shown in the figure, the female screw portion 26 may be formed on the inner surface of a screw forming component 20F that is a separate member, and this screw forming component 20F may be press-fitted and adhered to one end side of the cover member 20. Also, a joining component 70A is press-fitted and fixed to the other end side of the cover member 20. A male screw portion 70a is formed on the protruding side of this joining component 70A. And inside a fixed hood 11 provided on the front side (the tip side of the rod) of the reel leg mounting portion 9a, a female screw portion 9C integrally formed in front of the reel leg mounting portion 9a of the reel sheet 9 is provided.
[0044] According to the above-described configuration, by rotating the operation nut 12A to move the moving hood 12 in the axial direction to fix the reel to the reel leg mounting portion 9a, and screwing the female screw portion 26 on one end side of the cover member 20 onto the exposed male screw portion 3A, the cover member 20 can function as a rear grip (see FIG. 7(a)). Also, by removing the cover member 20 and screwing the male screw portion 70a of the joining component 70A on the other end side directly onto the female screw portion 9C without turning it to the opposite side, it can be put into the stored state (see FIG. 7(b)). In this case, the stored dimensions can be adjusted by shifting the screwing position of the male screw portion 70a of the cover member 20 and the female screw portion 9C in the axial direction.
[0045] In the above-described configuration, since one end side of the cover member 20 opens in the stored state, a separate cap member 80 may be attached. Further, the cap member 80 may be configured to be attachable to the other end side of the cover member 20 when the fishing rod is in use. In this case, if the outer diameter dimensions of one end side and the other end side of the cover member are different, it may be configured of a flexible member whose radial direction is displaceable, or a joining structure that can be attached to a plurality of outer diameters may be formed.
[0046] FIG. 8 is a diagram showing a fourth embodiment and is a diagram showing a state of use as a fishing rod. In this embodiment, a fixed hood 11 is provided on the front side (tip side of the rod) of the reel leg mounting portion 9a, and a movable hood 12 is provided on the rear side (base end side) thereof.
[0047] In this embodiment, the operation nut 12A of the movable hood 12 is screwed onto the male screw portion 3A formed on the protruding portion 3B of the original rod 3, and the movable hood 12 is moved in the axial direction by rotating the operation nut 12A. A female screw portion 20A is formed on the inner surface of the opening portion at the tip of the cover member 20, and in the use state, it is configured to be screwed onto the male screw portion 3A. Further, a male screw portion 3C is formed in front of the fixed hood 11, and in the stored state, the female screw portion 20A of the cover member 20 is configured to be screwed onto it.
[0048] A ring nut 30 is separately provided on the male screw portion 3C. By providing such a ring nut 30, when adjusting the stored dimensions, it can be applied to the opening edge of the cover member 20 screwed onto the male screw portion 3C, so that the cover member 20 can be fixed at that position without rattling.
[0049] FIG. 9 is a diagram showing a fifth embodiment and is a diagram showing a state of use as a fishing rod. In this embodiment, moving hoods 12 are provided on the front side and the rear side of the reel leg mounting portion 9a. Ring nuts 30 and 30' are respectively disposed on the male screw portions 3A and 3A' into which the operation nuts 12A for moving the respective moving hoods 12 are screwed. According to such a configuration, the cover member 20 can be fixed without rattling during use, and even in the stored state, it can be applied to the opening edge of the cover member 20 screwed to the male screw portion 3A'. Therefore, with the reel legs fixed to the reel leg mounting portion 9a, the position of the cover member 20 can be fixed without rattling. Also, in the stored state, the stored dimensions can be adjusted by changing the screwing position.
[0050] FIG. 10 is a view showing a sixth embodiment, where (a) is a view showing a state of use as a fishing rod, and (b) is a view showing a stored state.
[0051] In this embodiment, a base fishing rod 3 in which a plurality of rod shafts are stored is attached inside a reel sheet 9 formed in a cylindrical shape. A moving hood 12 is provided on the front side (rod tip side) of the reel leg mounting portion 9a of the reel sheet 9, and a fixed hood 11 is provided on the rear side (base end side) thereof. Also, on the rear side of the fixed hood 11, a separate joining component 70 is attached without forming a protruding portion 3B as in the above-described embodiment. This joining component 70 is fixed inside the fixed hood 11 in the radial direction and includes a cylindrical portion 71 whose diameter expands on the rear side of the fixed hood 11, and a female screw portion 72 is formed on the inner surface of the cylindrical portion 71. Note that by screwing and coupling a disk-shaped screw-in type lower stopper 90 having a coin groove 91 formed on the inner side of the female screw portion 72, it is possible to reliably prevent the base fishing rod 3 and the like from popping out in the stored state.
[0052] The base fishing rod 3 is preferably configured to have a length that does not protrude from the rear end of the reel sheet 9, and the front side thereof is fixed in a state of protruding from a male screw portion 3A into which the operation nut 12A of the moving hood 12 disposed on the reel sheet 9 is screwed.
[0053] The cover member 20 is the same as the above-described second embodiment (see FIGS. 5 and 6), and a female screw portion 26 is formed on the inner surface of the opening portion at the tip thereof, and a male screw portion 25 is formed so as to protrude forward from the region where the female screw portion 26 is formed. As shown in FIG. 10(a), when used as a fishing rod, this male screw portion 25 is configured to be screwed with the female screw portion 72 of the joint component 70. Further, as shown in FIG. 10(b), by screwing the female screw portion 26 of the cover member 20 onto the exposed male screw portion 3A, it can be put into a stored state. In this case, the stored dimensions can be adjusted by shifting the screwing position of the female screw portion 26 of the cover member 20 and the male screw portion 3A in the axial direction. According to the above-described configuration, since no protruding portion is formed on the rear side of the reel sheet 9, it is possible to shorten the stored dimensions of the fishing rod.
[0054] FIG. 11 is a view showing a seventh embodiment. In this embodiment, a fixed hood 11 is provided on the front side of the reel leg mounting portion 9a, and a movable hood 12 is provided on the rear side. The rear side of the movable hood 12 is terminated by a male screw portion 3A on which the operation nut 12A is screwed as it is, without forming a protruding portion, as in the sixth embodiment. The female screw portion 20A of the cover member 20 is screwed onto this male screw portion 3A to bring the fishing rod into a use state. It is preferable that the length of the original rod 3 is configured not to protrude from the rear end of the male screw portion 3A.
[0055] Further, a male screw portion 3C is formed on the front side of the fixed hood 11, and the female screw portion 20A of the cover member 20 can be screwed onto this portion to put it into a stored state. In this case, the stored dimensions can be adjusted by shifting the screwing position of the female screw portion 20A of the cover member 20 and the male screw portion 3C in the axial direction. Even in the above-described configuration, it is possible to shorten the stored dimensions of the fishing rod.
[0056] FIG. 12 is a view showing an eighth embodiment. In this embodiment, in the seventh embodiment, a female screw portion 26 is formed in the opening region of the cover member 20, and a stepped portion 26a protruding radially inward is formed on the back side thereof.
[0057] When in the stored state, when the female screw portion 26 of the cover member 20 is screwed and tightened onto the male screw portion 3C formed on the front side of the fixed hood 11, the stepped portion 26a is configured to be crimped and applied against the leading edge of the male screw portion 3C. According to such a configuration, when in the stored state, it is possible to prevent the cover 20 from rattling and to securely fix the position of the cover member.
[0058] FIG. 13 is a diagram showing the ninth embodiment, where (a) is a diagram showing a state of use as a fishing rod and (b) is a diagram showing the stored state. In this embodiment, a moving hood 12 is provided on the front side of the reel leg mounting portion 9a, and a fixed hood 11 is provided on the rear side.
[0059] A plug body 75 is attached inside the fixed hood 11 in the radial direction so as to close the opening of the reel seat, and a female screw portion 75A is formed at the center thereof. Also, a joining component 76 is press-fitted and fixed to the opening portion of the cover member 20, and a male screw portion 76A is formed to protrude at the center thereof so as to be screwed with the female screw portion 75A of the plug body 75. Further, the rear end side of the cover member 20 is open, and a female screw portion 20E is formed on the inner surface portion thereof.
[0060] According to such a configuration, during use, the male screw portion 76A of the joining component 76 of the cover member 20 can be screwed with the female screw portion 75A of the plug body 75 to form a grip (see FIG. 13(a)). Also, the cover member 20 can be removed, and the female screw portion 20E on the rear end side can be screwed with the male screw portion 3A of the moving hood 12 to be in the stored state. In this stored state, by changing the screwing position, it is possible to adjust the stored dimensions. Note that, with respect to the cover member 20, in the stored state, the cover member 80 may be detachably attached so as not to expose the joining component 76. Also, similar to the embodiment shown in FIG. 10, by screwing and coupling a dish-shaped screw-in type bottom stopper 90 having a coin groove 91 formed on the inner side of the female screw portion 75A, it is possible to reliably prevent the original rod 3 etc. from popping out in the stored state.
[0061] According to the configuration as described above, the storage dimension can be shortened, and since the screwing portion is joined at the radially central portion, it is possible to make it thinner.
[0062] As described above, the embodiments of the present invention have been explained, but the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments and can be variously modified. In the above-described embodiment, a fishing rod to which a reel is attached has been exemplified, but it can be configured as a normal casting type fishing rod that does not have a reel seat and a fishing line guide. Also, it may be configured as a fishing rod dedicated to a double-bearing reel, or may be configured as a fishing rod to which both a spinning reel and a double-axis reel are attached. In this case, the configuration of the fishing line guide may be changed according to the reel to be attached.
[0063] Regarding the length of the cover member 20, it can be appropriately deformed. Also, regarding the fixing method of the cover member 20 to the original rod 3, in addition to the screwing structure, it can be appropriately deformed such as a press-fitting structure, a structure using a clamp, etc., and accordingly, the configuration of the adjustment mechanism 50 can also be appropriately deformed. Also, regarding the various constituent members in the above-described embodiments, it is also possible to apply them to other embodiments.
