Abstract
To provide a control device for an engine capable of preventing deterioration of combustion at the start of the engine (improving combustion stability), and in particular, for example, capable of improving combustion stability by preventing deterioration of combustion caused by a lean state of an air-fuel ratio due to fuel properties (heavy fuel) until activation of an air-fuel ratio sensor at cold start.SOLUTION: An ECU 50 acquires a first crank angle speed difference that is a change of a crank angle speed in a first region including a rotation change correlated with output of engine torque in a compression stroke and / or an expansion stroke, acquires a second crank angle speed difference that is a change of the crank angle speed in a second region including a rotation change correlated with combustion speed caused by an air-fuel ratio in the compression stroke and / or the expansion stroke, and makes an increase correction of the amount of fuel to be supplied when the first crank angle speed difference is a first threshold value or lower and the second crank angle speed difference is a second threshold value or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
