[0014] In order to clarify the objectives, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention, the embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, as will be understood by those skilled in the art, many technical details are provided in the embodiments of the present invention to help readers better understand the present application.

[0015] However, the technical solution claimed for protection by this application can be realized without these technical details and various changes and modifications based on the following embodiments. The division of the following embodiments is merely for ease of explanation and does not limit the specific implementation manner of the present invention, and the embodiments can be combined or referenced with each other on the condition that they are not mutually contradictory.

[0016] The first embodiment of the present invention relates to a conference creation method applied to a video conference terminal, the specific flow of which is shown in FIG.

[0017] In step 101, a point-to-point video conference is established with a remote device, and an identity identifier of the remote device is obtained.

[0018] In step 102, a data conference creation request is generated with an identification of both conference parties, the conference parties including the video conference terminal and the remote device.

[0019] In step 103, a data conference creation request is sent to the data conference server, so that the data conference server creates a data conference corresponding to the point-to-point video conference based on the identity identifiers of both parties in the conference.

[0020] The following provides a detailed description of the implementation of the data conference creation method of this embodiment. However, the following content is provided only for ease of understanding and is not essential for implementing this method.

[0021] The conference creation method of this embodiment is applied to a video conference terminal, and both sides of a point-to-point video conference include the video conference terminal and its counterpart device, where the counterpart device can be another video conference terminal or a legacy terminal, such as a mobile phone or a personal computer.

[0022] A video conference terminal integrates an application supporting video conferences and an application supporting data conferences. The video conference terminal establishes a point-to-point video conference with a remote device based on the application supporting video conferences and obtains an identification identifier of the remote device. When the point-to-point video conference is successfully established, the application supporting video conferences in the video conference terminal notifies the application supporting data conferences. Upon receiving the notification, the application supporting data conferences generates a data conference creation request. The data conference creation request includes the identification identifiers of both parties in the conference and sends the data conference creation request to a data conference server.

[0023] Here, the legacy terminal described in this embodiment has an independent application that supports video conferencing installed, but does not have an application that supports data conferencing integrated with the application that supports video conferencing, so it cannot spontaneously send a data conference creation request to the data conference server after establishing a point-to-point video conference. However, the legacy terminal can participate in a data conference by installing an independent application that supports data conferencing.

[0024] In this embodiment, the video conference terminal executing the conference creation method may be a caller or a called party. In one example, both parties in a point-to-point video conference can negotiate to determine which party will initiate a data conference creation request to the data conference server. For example, if both parties in a point-to-point video conference find that they are both video conference terminals, either party can initiate a data conference creation request. If both parties in a point-to-point video conference find that the other party is a legacy terminal, the video conference terminal can initiate a data conference creation request.

[0025] In one example, the identity identifier is acquired during the process of establishing a point-to-point video conference. Specifically, when establishing a point-to-point video conference, a caller makes a call to a callee. Point-to-point video calls support calls between SIP protocol accounts or H323 protocol accounts, and also support calls between IP addresses. Once the caller's call is successful, both parties can establish a point-to-point video conference.

[0026] Here, when a point-to-point video call is made, both parties obtain an identity identifier that the other party uses to establish the point-to-point conference, that is, the identity identifier may be, for example, a network account such as a SIP protocol account or an H323 protocol account, or the identity identifier may be an IP address.

[0027] In this example, if the video conference terminal and the other device establish a point-to-point video conference through a network account, the identity identifier is the network account; if the video conference terminal and the other device establish a point-to-point video conference through an IP address, the identity identifier is the IP address.

[0028] That is, in this example, both the caller and the called party can obtain the identity of the other party during the point-to-point video call process.

[0029] However, the present invention is not limited thereto. In another example, the identity identifier included in the data conference creation request may not be the identity identifier of the other party obtained during the point-to-point video call process.

[0030] For example, when the video conference terminal and the other device establish a point-to-point video conference through an IP address, the identity identifier may be a network account, that is, the video conference terminal may obtain the network account from the other device after establishing the point-to-point video conference based on the IP address.

[0031] In other examples, the identity identifier may also include a network account and an IP address at the same time, or may be represented by other information that can uniquely represent an identity.

[0032] When the video conference terminal sends a data conference creation request to the data conference server, the data conference server can create a data conference corresponding to the point-to-point video conference based on the identity identifiers of both conference parties, that is, the data conference server can create a data conference and invite both conference parties to join the data conference based on the identity identifiers of both conference parties, so that both conference parties can establish a point-to-point video conference and then establish a data conference, and can understand that the data conference is a data conference corresponding to the point-to-point video conference.

[0033] Here, the data conference server can invite both conference parties to join the data conference based on the identity identifiers of both conference parties, specifically, the data conference server can directly invite the video conference terminal to join the data conference based on its identity identifier, while the other party's device, if the other party's device is also a video conference terminal, can directly invite the other party to join the data conference based on its identity identifier.

[0034] If the other device is a legacy terminal, it can generate a conference joining code for the other device and send the conference joining code to the video conference terminal to notify the user. The other device provides a data conference joining interface through an independent data conference supporting application installed therein, receives the conference joining code entered by the user through the data conference joining interface, and sends the conference joining code together with the identity identifier of the other device to the data conference server. If the data conference server verifies that the received conference joining code and identity identifier are accurate, it allows the other device to join the data conference.

[0035] In this embodiment, after a video conference terminal establishes a point-to-point video conference with a remote device, it can send a data conference creation request to a data conference server. The data conference creation request includes the identity identifiers of both parties in the conference, so that the data conference server can create a data conference corresponding to the point-to-point video conference based on the identity identifiers.

[0036] In other words, the application for supporting video conferencing and the application for supporting data conferencing in the video conferencing terminal can cooperate with each other, so that point-to-point video conferencing can support data conferencing and improve the usability of point-to-point video conferencing.

[0037] The second embodiment of the present invention relates to a conference creation method applied to a data conference server, and the specific flow thereof is shown in FIG.

[0038] In step 201, a data conference creation request sent by a video conference terminal after establishing a point-to-point video conference with a remote device is received, where the data conference creation request carries identification identifiers of both parties in the conference, and the two parties in the conference include the video conference terminal and the remote device.

[0039] In step 202, a data conference corresponding to the point-to-point video conference is created based on the identity identifier.

[0040] In one example, as shown in FIG. 3, step 202 may include the following steps:

[0041] In step 2021, a data conference is created.

[0042] In step 2022, the videoconference terminal is invited into the data conference based on the identity identifier of the videoconference terminal.

[0043] In step 2023, it is determined whether the remote device is another video conference terminal. If YES, the process proceeds to step 2024. If NO, the process proceeds to step 2025.

[0044] In step 2024, the target device is invited into the data conference based on the target device's identity identifier.

[0045] In step 2025, a conference joining code of the other device is generated, and the conference joining code is sent to the video conference terminal to notify the user. After receiving the conference joining code entered by the user through its data conference joining interface, the other device joins the data conference based on the conference joining code and the identity identifier of the other device.

[0046] Here, in this embodiment, the order in which steps 2022 and 2023 are executed is not limited.

[0047] Specifically, when the data conference server receives a data conference creation request, it creates a data conference and determines whether the other device is a video conference terminal based on the identity identifier of the other device.

[0048] If the remote device is a video conference terminal, it indicates that both parties in the conference are video conference terminals and can be directly called into the data conference by the data conference server based on the identity identifier.

[0049] If the other device is not a video conference terminal, it indicates that the other device is a legacy terminal that cannot be directly invited into the data conference by the data conference server. In this case, the data conference server can directly invite the video conference terminal into the data conference based on the identity identifier of the video conference terminal, but can generate a conference joining code for the legacy terminal and send the conference joining code to the video conference terminal.

[0050] Here, the user of the legacy terminal can obtain the conference joining code through the video conference terminal. For example, the video conference terminal may receive the conference joining code of the legacy terminal and display it, and the user of the video conference terminal may notify the user of the legacy terminal of the conference joining code; or the video conference terminal may receive the conference joining code of the legacy terminal and automatically transmit it to the legacy terminal through a pre-configured platform, and the legacy terminal may display the conference joining code and notify the user of the legacy terminal of the conference joining code.

[0051] Pre-set Platform For example, the short message platform, WeChat platform.

[0052] Here, an independent application supporting data conferencing is installed on the legacy terminal, and after being launched, the application can provide a data conference joining interface, and the user can input the conference joining code into the data conference joining interface.

[0053] After receiving the conference join code, the legacy terminal sends a data conference join request to the data conference server, where the data conference join request can include the conference join code and an identity identifier of the legacy terminal. If the data conference server checks that the conference join code and the identity identifier are correct, it allows the legacy terminal to join the data conference.

[0054] In another example, in step 2025, after the data conference server generates a conference joining code for the legacy terminal, the data conference server may further send the conference joining code to the legacy terminal through a pre-configured platform, where the data conference server may be pre-installed with a connection interface of the pre-configured platform. The pre-configured platform may be, for example, a short message platform, a WeChat platform, etc. The user can check the conference joining code received by the legacy terminal and enter the conference joining code through the data conference joining interface.

[0055] Here, the identity identifiers of both parties in the conference included in the data conference creation request may be network accounts or IPR addresses.

[0056] In one example, when a data conference uses a network account as the only identifier of a conference participant terminal, if the identity identifiers of both conference participants are their network accounts, both conference participants can be directly invited to the data conference based on their network accounts. If the identity identifiers of both conference participants are their IP addresses, it is necessary to search for the network accounts of both conference participants based on their IP addresses.

[0057] Here, the data conference server can pre-store the correspondence between the network account and the IP address of the terminal, and the data conference server can store the correspondence when the terminal logs in to the data conference server for the first time. That is, when registering with the data conference server, the data conference server can simultaneously obtain the network account and IP address of the terminal and establish the correspondence between them.

[0058] In this embodiment, after a video conference terminal establishes a point-to-point video conference with a remote device, it can send a data conference creation request to a data conference server. The data conference creation request includes the identity identifiers of both parties in the conference, so that the data conference server can create a data conference corresponding to the point-to-point video conference based on the identity identifiers.

[0059] In other words, the application for supporting video conferencing and the application for supporting data conferencing in the video conferencing terminal can cooperate with each other, so that point-to-point video conferencing can support data conferencing and improve the usability of point-to-point video conferencing.

[0060] Since the first embodiment and this embodiment correspond to each other, this embodiment can be implemented in combination with the first embodiment. The details of the related technology described in the first embodiment are still valid in this embodiment, and the technical effects achievable in the first embodiment can also be realized in this embodiment. To reduce redundancy, the description will be omitted here. Correspondingly, the details of the related technology described in this embodiment can also be applied to the first embodiment.

[0061] The third embodiment of the present invention relates to a conference creation method applied to a data conference server, and the specific flow is shown in FIG.

[0062] In step 301, a data conference creation request is received, the data conference creation request being sent by a video conference terminal after establishing a point-to-point video conference with a remote device, where the data conference creation request has an identification of both parties in the conference, and the two parties in the conference include the video conference terminal and the remote device. Here, step 301 is similar to step 201, and therefore will not be described again.

[0063] In step 302, it is determined whether another data conference creation request with the same identity identifier as the data conference creation request has been received within a predetermined time period before the data conference creation request is received. If NO, proceed to step 303. If YES, end.

[0064] In step 303, a data conference corresponding to the point-to-point video conference is created based on the identity identifier, where step 303 is similar to step 203, and therefore will not be described again.

[0065] In this embodiment, step 302 is newly added compared to the second embodiment. Specifically, if both conference participants are video conference terminals, after establishing a point-to-point video conference, both participants may send a data conference creation request to the data conference server. In this case, the data conference server receives two similar data conference creation requests, where the two similar data conference creation requests indicate that the two conference participants have the same identity identifier. To avoid creating two similar data conferences for the same point-to-point video conference, the data conference server records the reception time of each data conference creation request each time it receives one.

[0066] When a data conference creation request is currently received, it can first be determined whether the currently received data conference creation request is the same as the immediately previous data conference creation request.

[0067] If the currently received data conference creation request is similar to the previous data conference creation request, the server determines whether the time difference between the reception times of the two similar data conference creation requests is greater than a predetermined time length, which may be set based on, for example, a previously estimated network delay. If the time difference is less than the predetermined time length, the server determines in step 302 that another data conference creation request with the same identity identifier as the currently received data conference creation request was received within the predetermined time period prior to receiving the data conference creation request. In this case, the server considers the currently received data conference creation request to be invalid and does not process it.

[0068] If the currently received data conference creation request is not the same as the previous data conference creation request, or is the same but the time difference between the reception times of the two similar data conference creation requests is greater than a predetermined time length, then in step 302 it is determined that no other data conference creation request with the same identity identifier as the currently received data conference creation request has been received within the predetermined time period prior to receiving the data conference creation request. In this case, the data conference server considers the currently received data conference creation request to be valid and executes step 303.

[0069] The technical solution of this embodiment can avoid the problem of repeatedly creating a data conference for both conferences when both conference parties simultaneously send a data conference creation request to the data conference server, and can avoid unnecessary waste of resources on the data conference server.

[0070] The fourth embodiment of the present invention relates to a conference creation method applied to legacy terminals, and a specific flow is shown in FIG.

[0071] In step 401, a point-to-point video conference is established with a video conference terminal, and the video conference terminal sends a data conference creation request carrying the identity identifiers of both parties to the data conference server. After the data conference server creates the data conference, it invites the video conference terminal to join the data conference based on the identity identifier of the video conference terminal, and generates a conference joining code for the legacy terminal and sends the conference joining code to the video conference terminal to notify the user.

[0072] In step 402, a data conference joining interface is provided.

[0073] In step 403, a conference join code input by a user through a data conference join interface is received, and the data conference is joined by the conference join code and the legacy terminal's identification identifier.

[0074] In this embodiment, the two parties in the point-to-point video conference are a legacy terminal and a video conference terminal, and when the legacy terminal establishes a point-to-point video conference with the video conference terminal, the video conference terminal can obtain an identity identifier of the legacy terminal. After the point-to-point video conference is established, the video conference terminal generates a data conference creation request with the identity identifiers of the two parties in the conference and sends the data conference creation request to the data conference server.

[0075] When the data conference server receives the data conference creation request, it creates a data conference, and then the data conference server directly invites the video conference terminal to join the data conference, and generates a conference joining code for the legacy terminal, and sends the conference joining code to the video conference terminal for notification to the user, or the data conference server can send the conference joining code to the legacy terminal through a pre-configured platform.

[0076] Here, an independent application supporting data conferencing is installed on the legacy terminal, and after being launched, the application can provide a data conference joining interface, and the user can input the conference joining code into the data conference joining interface.

[0077] When the legacy terminal receives the conference join code, the legacy terminal sends a data conference join request to the data conference server, and the data conference join request may include the conference join code and an identity identifier of the legacy terminal. If the data conference server verifies that the conference join code and the identity identifier are correct, it allows the legacy terminal to join the data conference.

[0078] Here, the data conference server confirms that the conference joining code and the identity identifier are correct, which means that the data conference server memorizes the correspondence between the conference joining code and the identity identifier when generating the conference joining code for the other device. When receiving a data conference joining request sent from a legacy terminal, the data conference server determines whether the conference joining code and the identity identifier in the data conference joining request are the corresponding conference joining code and the identity identifier recorded in the data conference server. If the answer is YES, the data conference server confirms that the conference joining code and the identity identifier are correct.

[0079] The pre-configured platform in this embodiment is, for example, a short message platform, WeChat platform.

[0080] In this embodiment, after a legacy terminal establishes a point-to-point video conference with a video conference terminal, the video conference terminal can send a data conference creation request to a data conference server, and the data conference creation request includes the identity identifiers of both parties in the conference, so that the data conference server can create a data conference corresponding to the point-to-point video conference based on the identity identifiers.

[0081] In other words, the application for supporting video conferencing and the application for supporting data conferencing in the video conferencing terminal can cooperate with each other, so that point-to-point video conferencing can support data conferencing and improve the usability of point-to-point video conferencing.

[0082] Since any of the first to third embodiments correspond to this embodiment, this embodiment can be implemented in combination with any of the first to third embodiments. Details of the related technology described in any of the first to third embodiments remain valid in this embodiment, and technical effects achievable in any of the first to third embodiments can also be realized in this embodiment, so to reduce redundancy, descriptions will be omitted here. Correspondingly, details of the related technology described in this embodiment can also be applied to any of the first to third embodiments.

[0083] The division of steps in each of the above methods is merely for the purpose of clarity of explanation, and in implementation, they may be merged into one step, or a step may be divided into multiple steps, and as long as they contain the same logical relationship, they all fall within the scope of protection of this application.

[0084] Minor modifications or minor designs can be made to an algorithm or flow without changing the core design of the algorithm or flow, and all of these are within the scope of protection of this application.

[0085] A fifth embodiment of the present invention relates to a video conferencing terminal, as shown in FIG. 6, which includes at least one processor 601 and a memory 602 communicatively connected to the at least one processor 601, wherein the memory 602 stores instructions executable by the at least one processor 601, and when the instructions are executed by the at least one processor 601, the at least one processor 601 can execute the conference creation method according to the first embodiment.
