To improve a structure of a center pillar of a vehicle with respect to collision resistance.SOLUTION: An upper end of a lower pillar reinforcement 18 and a lower end of an upper pillar reinforcement 20 are overlapped and joined. The lower pillar reinforcement 18 has an impact beam receiving portion 34 that receives an impact beam 12 in the event of a side collision. The upper pillar reinforcement 20 has a tongue portion 32 extending downward from a location where a lower hinge 22 supporting a rear door is fixed. The lower pillar reinforcement 18 has a longitudinal concave bead 42 extending in a vertical direction between the impact beam receiving portion 34 and the tongue portion 32.
