[Solution] The automatic feeder is installed on top of a fish tank and dispenses a predetermined amount of food into the tank at a set time. The automatic feeder comprises a hopper section 33 for storing food, a cylindrical rotor section 4 rotatably mounted below the hopper section 33 and having a storage recess for receiving a predetermined amount of food from the hopper section 33, and a drive section for rotating the rotor section 4 at a set time. The rotor section 4 is displaced from a reference position where the storage recess faces into the hopper section to a dispensing position where it faces downward, and the food in the storage recess is dispensed into the tank. The hopper section 33 is provided with a stirring section 51 that stirs the food inside the hopper section in conjunction with the rotation of the rotor section 4.
