Abstract

The present invention is for providing a technique of imparting to the seeds the function of controlling weeds, pests, or plant diseases. This agrichemical composition for treating seeds is characterized by containing: crystal particles of an active agrichemical component having a volume median diameter of less than 1 μm; and a water-soluble polymer. The present invention also pertains to: a plant seed characterized by being obtained by providing a coating of the agrichemical composition on the outer shell of a plant seed to be cultivated; and a plant cultivation method characterized by involving disseminating and cultivating the seed on agricultural land or non-agricultural land.

Claims

1. A seed treatment pesticide composition comprising crystalline particles of a pesticide active ingredient having a median volume diameter of 0.2 to 0.8 μm and a water-soluble polymer, characterized in that the water-soluble polymer is polyvinylpyrrolidone and the pesticide active ingredient is one or two selected from pyrimisulfan and fenquinotrione.

2. The seed treatment pesticide composition according to claim 1, wherein, per 100 parts by mass of the pesticide composition, the amount of the pesticide active ingredient is 0.1 to 50.0 parts by mass and the amount of the water-soluble polymer is 0.1 to 20.0 parts by mass.

3. The seed treatment pesticide composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the mass ratio of the pesticide active ingredient to the water-soluble polymer is 1:0.05 to 100.

4. A seed treatment pesticide composition according to any one of claims 1 to 3, which is in the form of a suspension.

5. A plant seed characterized in that the seed treatment pesticide composition described in any one of claims 1 to 4 is coated on the outer surface of a plant seed intended for cultivation.

6. A method for controlling harmful organisms, characterized by sowing the plant seeds described in claim 5 in a seedling tray, farmland, or non-farmland to control weeds, pests, or diseases.

7. A method for producing plant seeds, characterized by treating plant seeds intended for cultivation with a seed treatment pesticide composition described in any one of claims 1 to 4, thereby coating the outer surface of the plant seeds with the seed treatment pesticide composition.

8. A method for cultivating plants, characterized by sowing the plant seeds described in claim 5 in agricultural land or non-agricultural land and cultivating them.
