Abstract
To effectively utilize byproduct oxygen upon supplying a biogas generation tank with hydrogen generated in a water electrolysis device.SOLUTION: The method of producing methane fermentation liquid includes the steps of: supplying a biogas generation tank storing a methane fermentation liquid with hydrogen gas to generate biogas including methane from the methane fermentation liquid; transferring a digestion liquid indicating a methane fermentation liquid after the generation of biogas in the biogas generation tank, from the biogas generation tank to a nitrification tank; supplying the nitrification tank storing the digestion liquid with oxygen gas to generate at least either of nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen; and generating hydrogen and oxygen by electrolyzing water in the water electrolysis device. In the step of generating biogas, hydrogen generated by water electrolysis is supplied to the biogas generation tank. In the step of generating nitrate nitrogen or nitrite nitrogen, oxygen gas generated by water electrolysis is supplied to the nitrification tank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
