[0035] Preferred embodiments of an image processing device, a user terminal, an image processing system, an operating method, and a program according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0036] First, a description will be given of a service for distributing idol prints, to which the present invention is suitably applied. When distributing prints, the image processing system of the present invention distributes images that have undergone image processing. Note that the term "talent" is used in the following description, but the scope of the person referred to by this term can be broad. Specifically, "talent" includes, but is not limited to, so-called "idols" who perform singing and dancing at live concerts and various events. It can also include singers, stars, actors, actresses, comedians, television personalities (people who host programs, etc.), celebrities, and the like who appear on television programs, online programs, movies, and stage productions. Furthermore, "talent" can also be athletes, such as baseball players and soccer players. A "talent" can be any age or gender, and can be a person who works alone or a member of a group consisting of multiple members.
[0037] Conventionally, prints of idol images, for example, featuring idols as subjects, have been sold. When selling prints online, the images (electronic data) are sent to the user terminal of the user who has paid the fee, and the user prints the images on a printer to obtain the desired idol image.
[0038] As mentioned above, when selling idol images by sending electronic data to a user terminal, secondary use of the sold prints can become an issue. Here, secondary use refers to copying or redistribution of the electronic data, or making multiple prints from the electronic data and reselling them to other people.
[0039] The following description will discuss a technique that can effectively prevent secondary use when prints are sold via a network such as the Internet.
[0040] [Image Processing System] An image processing system according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[0041] 1 is a configuration diagram showing an image processing system 1. The image processing system 1 is provided in an image distribution system 11 that is used, for example, when selling prints of desired images to users who own user terminals 100.
[0042] 1 includes an image processing system 10 and a user terminal 100 that communicates with the image processing device 10 via a network 40. The user terminal 100 is also connected to a printer 200 wirelessly or via a wired connection.
[0043] The user terminal 100 sends a print instruction to the printer 200. This allows the user terminal 100 to cause the printer 200 to output (print) a print P of an image stored in the user terminal 100. The print P has the image to be printed received from the user terminal 100 printed on it. The print P is made of, for example, instant film. Note that while FIG. 1 illustrates an example in which the user terminal 100 and the printer 200 are provided separately, the application of the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the present invention can also be applied to a device in which the user terminal 100 and the printer 200 are integrated. Furthermore, the image distribution system 11, like the image processing system 1, is made up of an image processing device 10 and a user terminal 100. The image distribution system 11 then distributes, for example, an image of an idol, and the user can obtain the idol's image (or a print of the idol image) via the user terminal 100.
[0044] The image processing apparatus 10 is configured by a computer, a workstation, or the like, and includes a first processor 12, a memory 14, an input / output interface (not shown), and the like.
[0045] The first processor 12 is composed of a CPU (Central Processing Unit) and the like, and controls all parts of the image processing device 10. The first processor 12 also realizes various functions of the image processing device 10, as will be described later.
[0046] The memory 14 includes a flash memory, a read-only memory (ROM), a random access memory (RAM), a hard disk drive, etc. The flash memory, the ROM, or the hard disk drive is a non-volatile memory that stores an operating system, various programs including an image processing program that executes the image processing method according to the present invention, etc.
[0047] The RAM functions as a work area for processing by the first processor 12. It also temporarily stores various programs stored in flash memory or the like, data used for arithmetic processing, etc. Note that the first processor 12 may have a part of the memory 14 (RAM) built in.
[0048] The memory 14 stores a database 1 and a database 2 required for the operation of the image processing system 1 .
[0049] FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an example of the storage configuration of database 1 (DB1) stored in memory 14. As shown in FIG.
[0050] DB1 stores images to be distributed by image distribution system 11. DB1 stores, for example, a plurality of idol images to be distributed. DB1 also stores other information associated with the idol images. Idol images are images to be printed, and it is assumed that after a user purchases an idol, electronic data of the image is sent to user terminal 100 and printed out by printer 200. Idol images are photographed by the image seller, and the photographed image is sent to image processing device 10 and stored in DB1 of memory 14. For example, the seller photographs the idol, and the photographed image is stored in DB1 of memory 14 of image processing device 10 via network 40.
[0051] DB1 also stores other information associated with idol images, and in the case shown in Figure 2, the serial number of the idol image, the time the idol image was released, the idol's name, and the price of the idol image are stored in association with the idol image. In the image distribution system 11, idol images are released (or purchased) within a predetermined period of time. This increases the rarity of the images for sale.
[0052] FIG. 3 is a diagram showing an example of the storage configuration of the database 2 (DB2) stored in the memory 14. As shown in FIG.
[0053] DB2 is a member information database that stores member information for the image distribution system 11. When a user wishes to purchase an idol image through the image distribution system 11, the user must first register as a member. When registering as a member, the user must enter certain information, and this entered information is stored in DB2. In the case shown in Figure 3, DB2 stores the member's user ID, email address, name, facial image, and address in association with the idol image.
[0054] Returning to FIG. 1, the image processing device 10 is connected to a network 40 such as the Internet, and exchanges data with a user terminal 100 via the network 40 .
[0055] The user terminal 100 includes a smartphone, laptop computer, or tablet terminal owned by the user. The user terminal 100 transmits an image transmission request to the image processing device 10. The user operates the user terminal 100 to cause the user terminal 100 to send the transmission request. The user terminal 100 also receives an image from the image processing device 10 and displays the image on the display unit 104. The user terminal 100 also acquires an image from the image processing device 10 and transmits a print instruction for the image to the printer 200.
[0056] First Embodiment FIG. 4 is a functional block diagram showing functions that are realized by the first processor 12 executing a dedicated program.
[0057] The first processor 12 is composed of a transmission request receiving unit 12A, a generating unit 12B, and a transmitting unit 12C.
[0058] The transmission request receiving unit 12A receives an image transmission request from the user terminal 100. The transmission request is sent from the user terminal 100 and received by the transmission request receiving unit 12A of the image processing device 10 via the network 40. Here, the transmission request includes information specifying the idol image desired by the user. For example, the transmission request includes the serial number of the idol image desired by the user. The transmission request also includes information for identifying at least the user. By receiving the transmission request, the image processing device 10 specifies the image to be transmitted and specifies the user (user terminal) to which the image will be transmitted.
[0059] In response to the transmission request, the generation unit 12B generates a composite image by combining an idol image with a user information image related to the user. Here, a user information image refers to an image displaying information that can directly or indirectly identify a user. For example, the user information image displays information about any user stored in DB2. Specifically, the user information image displays a user ID, email address, name, or user face image, making it possible to directly or indirectly identify the user through the user information image. The information about the user that is displayed as the user information image can be determined in various ways. For example, the image processing device 10 may pre-set the user information to be displayed as the user information image. Furthermore, the image processing device 10 may receive information regarding the selection of the user information image from the user terminal 100 and determine the type of information indicated by the user information image based on the selection. When a user selects a type of user information image, a bonus may be sent in accordance with the selection. For example, if a type of user information image representing a personal name is selected, a significant bonus may be sent because the personal name can directly identify the user and is highly effective in inhibiting secondary use. On the other hand, if a type of user information image that represents a user ID is selected, a small bonus is sent, such as discount points for the next image purchase, since the user ID indirectly identifies the user and is therefore less effective in preventing secondary use.
[0060] The transmission unit 12C transmits the composite image generated by the generation unit 12B to the user terminal 100 via the network 40.
[0061] Fig. 5 is a diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of the user terminal 100. Note that the configuration shown in Fig. 5 mainly shows the parts necessary for explaining the present invention, and the illustration and explanation of the calling function and the like are omitted.
[0062] The user terminal 100 includes a second processor 112, a memory 116, a communication interface 114, a display unit 104, a camera 118, and an operation unit 106. The user terminal 100 includes the display unit 104. The display unit 104 displays a composite image.
[0063] The operation unit 106 is configured with a touch screen provided on the display unit 104 and buttons that are part of the operation unit 106. By operating the operation unit 106, the user can send a transmission request to the image processing apparatus 10.
[0064] 6 is a functional block diagram showing functions implemented by the second processor 112 of the user terminal 100. The second processor 112 implements each function by executing a dedicated program stored in the memory 116.
[0065] The second processor 112 implements a transmission request sending unit 112A, a display control unit 112B, and a print control unit 112C.
[0066] The transmission request transmitting unit 112A transmits a transmission request to the image processing device 10. The user inputs an instruction via the operation unit 106 to cause the transmission request transmitting unit 112A to transmit the transmission request to the image processing device 10.
[0067] The display control unit 112B displays the composite image on the display unit 104. The composite image displayed on the display unit 104 by the display control unit 112B is printed by the printer 200.
[0068] The print control unit 112C outputs a print instruction for the composite image to the printer 200. Specifically, the print control unit 112C transmits the print instruction for the composite image to the printer 200. Note that together with the print instruction, data for printing the composite image is also transmitted to the printer 200.
[0069] Fig. 7 is a flow diagram showing the operation of the image processing system 1. In the example shown in Fig. 7, the image processing device 10 generates a composite image and transmits the generated composite image to the user terminal 100. Note that the operation method of the image processing device 10 is performed by the first processor 12 executing a dedicated program, and the operation method of the user terminal 100 is performed by the second processor 112 executing a dedicated program.
[0070] First, the transmission request transmitting unit 112A of the user terminal 100 transmits a transmission request to the image processing device 10 via the network 40 (step S101).
[0071] Next, the transmission request receiving unit 12A of the image processing device 10 receives the transmission request transmitted from the user terminal 100 (step S102). The generation unit 12B of the image processing device 10 then retrieves the idol image desired by the user from DB1 based on the information contained in the transmission request (step S103) and retrieves the user information of the user who issued the transmission request from DB2 (step S104). For example, the transmission request includes information regarding the serial number of the idol image and the user ID of the user. The generation unit 12B then retrieves the idol image from DB1 based on the idol image's serial number, retrieves the user information from DB2 based on the user ID, and generates a user information image (step S105). The generation unit 12B then generates a composite image of the idol image and the user information image (step S106). The transmission unit 12C then transmits the generated composite image to the user terminal 100 via the network 40 (step S107).
[0072] Next, the display control unit 112B of the user terminal 100 receives the composite image (step S108) and displays the composite image on the display unit 104 (step S109). The user checks the composite image displayed on the display unit 104 and inputs a print instruction via the operation unit 106, and the print control unit 112C sends the print instruction to the printer 200 (step S110). The printer 200 outputs a print of the composite image.
[0073] As described above, according to this embodiment, an image desired by a user is delivered as a composite image combined with a user information image. This prevents the user from reusing a composite image displaying their own user information, which could lead to the leakage of their personal information, thereby suppressing secondary use. Furthermore, even if someone attempts to resell a composite image containing a user information image to another person, the purchaser will not want to purchase an image containing another person's personal information.
[0074] <<Modification 1 of First Embodiment>> Next, a description will be given of Modification 1 of the first embodiment. In this example, the first processor 12 of the image processing device 10 performs image analysis of the image requested in the transmission request and determines a user information image.
[0075] 8 is a functional block diagram realized by the execution of a dedicated program by the first processor 12 of this example. Note that parts that have already been explained are given the same reference numerals and explanations thereof will be omitted.
[0076] The first processor 12 in this example realizes the functions of a transmission request receiving unit 12A, a generating unit 12B, an analyzing unit 12D, a user information image determining unit 12E, and a transmitting unit 12C.
[0077] The analysis unit 12D analyzes the content of the image requested for transmission. Specifically, the analysis unit 12D analyzes the image to analyze the subject, composition, and the like. For example, the analysis unit 12D analyzes the idol image requested for transmission and outputs the result of the analysis process as a close-up image of the idol's face. For example, the analysis unit 12D analyzes the idol image requested for transmission and outputs the result of the analysis process as a group photo of an idol group. For example, the analysis unit 12D analyzes the idol image requested for transmission and outputs the result of the analysis process as a back view of the idol. The analysis unit 12D may set a priority for preventing secondary use of the image based on the analysis result. For example, the analysis unit 12D sets the priority for preventing secondary use to "high" for a close-up image of an idol's face. For example, the analysis unit 12D sets the priority for preventing secondary use to "medium" for a group photo of an idol group. For example, the analysis unit 12D sets the priority for preventing secondary use to "low" for an image of an idol's back.
[0078] The user information image determination unit 12E determines a user information image based on the results of the analysis process output by the analysis unit 12D. For example, the type of user information image may be preset depending on the composition of the image subjected to the analysis process. The type of user information image may also be determined depending on the priority. For example, when the priority is "high," the user information image determination unit 12E determines to use a user information image displaying the user's name and facial image. As such, the user's name and facial image are considered to be highly personal information and highly effective in inhibiting secondary use. For example, when the priority is "medium," the user information image determination unit 12E determines to use a user information image displaying the user's ID. For example, when the priority is "low," the user information image determination unit 12E determines to use a user information image in which the ID is displayed very small. Note that the user information image determination unit 12E may determine not to use a user information image when the priority is "low."
[0079] The generating unit 12B generates a composite image using the user information image determined by the user information image determining unit 12E.
[0080] As described above, in this example, an analysis process is performed on the image for which a transmission request has been made, and the type of user information image is determined based on the analysis result. This makes it possible to suppress secondary use according to the image for which a transmission request has been made.
[0081] <<Modification 2 of First Embodiment>> Next, a description will be given of Modification 2 of the first embodiment. In this example, the first processor 12 of the image processing device 10 analyzes the image requested in the transmission request and determines the position of the user information image.
[0082] 9 is a functional block diagram realized by the execution of a dedicated program by the first processor 12 of this example. Note that parts that have already been explained are given the same reference numerals and explanations thereof will be omitted.
[0083] The first processor 12 of this example realizes the functions of a transmission request receiving unit 12A, a generating unit 12B, an analyzing unit 12D, a position determining unit 12F, and a transmitting unit 12C.
[0084] The analysis unit 12D analyzes the content of the image for which a transmission request has been made. For example, the analysis unit 12D uses face recognition processing to identify the idol appearing in the idol image through image analysis. The analysis unit 12D outputs the result of the analysis processing, indicating that idol A appears in the idol image for which a transmission request has been made. Furthermore, the analysis unit 12D outputs the result of the analysis processing, indicating that idol B appears in the idol image for which a transmission request has been made. Furthermore, if an idol group appears in the image, the analysis unit 12D outputs the result of the analysis processing, indicating the individual idols that make up the idol group.
[0085] The position determination unit 12F determines the position at which to combine the user information image according to the result of the analysis process. For example, the position determination unit 12F may determine the position of the user information image at a position that does not overlap with the idol shown according to the result of the analysis process. Furthermore, if multiple idols are shown in the image, for example, if the user is a fan of idol A, the position determination unit 12F places the user information image in a position other than idol A. Note that information about which idol the user is a fan of is registered in the member information database.
[0086] As described above, in this example, image analysis is performed on the image for which a transmission request has been made, and the placement position of the user information image is determined based on the analysis results. This makes it possible to suppress secondary use without degrading the value of the image itself, even if the image is a composite image in which the user information image has been combined.
[0087] Second Embodiment Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the first embodiment described above, a composite image is generated on the image processing device 10 side, but in the second embodiment, a composite image is generated on the user terminal 100 side.
[0088] FIG. 10 is a functional block diagram realized by the second processor 112 of the user terminal 100 of this embodiment.
[0089] The second processor 112 of this embodiment is composed of a transmission request sending unit 112A, a generation unit 112D, an analysis unit 112E, a user information image determination unit 112F, a position determination unit 112G, a display control unit 112B, and a print control unit 112C. Note that parts that have already been explained are given the same reference numerals and explanations thereof will be omitted.
[0090] The generation unit 112D generates a composite image of an image and a user information image. For example, the generation unit 112D generates a composite image based on combination data sent from the image processing device 10. Here, the combination data is data of the image for which a transmission request has been made and the user information image. The generation unit 112D generates a composite image based on this combination data. The generation unit 112D may also acquire user information from within the user terminal 100 to generate a user information image. For example, an application is installed on the user terminal 100, and the user's email address, name, facial image, address, etc. are pre-registered in the application. In such a case, the generation unit 112D may acquire user information registered in the application. Then, the generation unit 112D generates a user information image, and generates a composite image of the image sent from the image processing device 10 and the user information image.
[0091] The second processor 112 may implement an analysis unit 112E.
[0092] The analysis unit 112E is the same as the analysis unit 12D described in Figures 8 and 9. The analysis unit 112E analyzes the image to analyze the subject, composition, etc., contained in the image. For example, the analysis unit 112E analyzes the idol image for which a transmission request has been made, and outputs the result of the analysis process as a close-up image of the idol's face alone. Also, for example, the analysis unit 112E analyzes the idol image for which a transmission request has been made, and outputs the result of the analysis process as a group photo of an idol group. Also, for example, the analysis unit 112E analyzes the idol image for which a transmission request has been made, and outputs the result of the analysis process as a back view of the idol.
[0093] Furthermore, the analysis unit 112E may set a priority for preventing secondary use according to the analysis results. For example, the analysis unit 112E may set the priority for preventing secondary use to "high" for a close-up image of an idol's face. For example, the analysis unit 112E may set the priority for preventing secondary use to "medium" for a group photo of an idol group. For example, the analysis unit 112E may set the priority for preventing secondary use to "low" for an image of an idol's back.
[0094] The second processor 112 may implement a user information image determination unit 112F.
[0095] The user information image determination unit 112F is similar to the user information image determination unit 12E described in FIG. 8 . The user information image determination unit 112F determines the user information image based on the results of the analysis process output by the analysis unit 112E. Specifically, the user information image determination unit 112F determines the type of user information image according to the priority. For example, if the priority is “high,” the user information image determination unit 112F determines to use a user information image displaying the user's name and facial image. Also, for example, if the priority is “medium,” the user information image determination unit 112F determines to use a user information image displaying the user ID. Also, for example, if the priority is “low,” the user information image determination unit 112F determines to use a user information image displaying the ID in a very small size. Note that the user information image determination unit 112F may determine not to use a user information image if the priority is “low.”
[0096] The second processor 112 may implement a position determining unit 112G.
[0097] The position determination unit 112G is the same as the position determination unit 12F described in FIG. 9. The position determination unit 112G determines the position at which to combine the user information image according to the results of the analysis process. For example, if the user is a fan of idol A, the position determination unit 112G places the user information image in a location other than idol A. For example, if the user is a fan of idol B, the position determination unit 112G places the user information image in a location other than idol B. Note that information about which idol the user is a fan of is registered in the member information database.
[0098] Fig. 11 is a flow diagram showing the operation of the image processing system 1 of this embodiment. In the case shown in Fig. 11, the combination data is transmitted from the image processing device 10, and a composite image is generated in the user terminal 100.
[0099] First, the transmission request transmitting unit 112A of the user terminal 100 transmits a transmission request to the image processing device 10 via the network 40 (step S201).
[0100] Next, the transmission request receiving unit 12A of the image processing device 10 receives the transmission request transmitted from the user terminal 100 (step S202). Thereafter, the generating unit 12B of the image processing device 10 obtains the idol image desired by the user from DB1 based on the information contained in the transmission request (step S203), obtains the user information of the user who issued the transmission request from DB2 (step S204), and generates a user information image (step S205). Thereafter, the generating unit 12B generates combination data of the idol image and the user information (step S206). The transmitting unit 12C then transmits the generated combination data to the user terminal 100 via the network 40 (step S207).
[0101] Next, the display control unit 112B of the user terminal 100 receives the combination data (step S208). Thereafter, the generation unit 112D generates a composite image based on the combination data (step S209). Next, the display control unit 112B generates a composite image of the idol image and the user information image based on the combination data (step S209). The display control unit 112B then displays the composite image on the display unit 104 (step S210). The user checks the composite image displayed on the display unit 104 and inputs a print instruction via the operation unit 106, and the print control unit 112C sends the print instruction to the printer 200 (step S211). The printer 200 outputs a print of the composite image.
[0102] Fig. 12 is a flow diagram showing the operation of the image processing system 1. In the case shown in Fig. 12, an image requested for transmission is transmitted from the image processing device 10, and user information registered in an application in the user terminal 100 is acquired and a user information image is generated.
[0103] First, the transmission request transmitting unit 112A of the user terminal 100 transmits a transmission request to the image processing device 10 via the network 40 (step S301).
[0104] Next, the transmission request receiving unit 12A of the image processing device 10 receives the transmission request transmitted from the user terminal 100 (step S302). Thereafter, the generating unit 12B of the image processing device 10 acquires an idol image desired by the user from DB1 based on the information contained in the transmission request (step S303), and transmits the acquired idol image to the user terminal 100 (step S304).
[0105] Thereafter, the generation unit 112D of the user terminal 100 receives the idol image (step S305). Next, the generation unit 112D acquires user information stored in the user terminal 100 (step S306) and generates a user information image (step S307). The generation unit 112D then generates a composite image of the idol image and the user information image (step S308). The display control unit 112B then displays the composite image on the display unit 104 (step S309). The user checks the composite image displayed on the display unit 104 and inputs a print instruction via the operation unit 106, and the print control unit 112C sends the print instruction to the printer 200 (step S310). The printer 200 then outputs a print of the composite image.
[0106] As described above, in this embodiment, a composite image is generated on the user terminal 100 side. This eliminates the need for the image processing device 10 to generate a composite image, thereby reducing the processing load on the image processing device 10.
[0107] <Other Examples of User Information Image> Next, specific examples of the user information image will be described. In addition to the above-mentioned user ID, email address, name, facial image, and address of the user, the user information image can display information that directly or indirectly identifies the user.
[0108] FIG. 13 is a conceptual diagram showing a composite image having a specific example 1 of a user information image.
[0109] The composite image 150 is formed by combining a user information image 152 indicating the location when the user terminal 100 transmitted the transmission request with an idol image M. For example, information indicating the location when the user terminal 100 transmitted the transmission request is acquired based on information from a GPS (Global Positioning System) (not shown) provided in the user terminal 100, and the user information image 152 is generated. In this way, by combining the user information image 152 indicating the location when the user terminal 100 transmitted the transmission request, the user's range of activity or residential area is identified to some extent, and secondary use of the composite image 150 is suppressed.
[0110] FIG. 14 is a conceptual diagram showing a composite image having a specific example 2 of a user information image.
[0111] The composite image 154 is a composite of a user information image 156 indicating the time when the user terminal 100 transmitted a transmission request and an idol image M. For example, the time is obtained from a timer (not shown) provided in the user terminal 100 or the image processing device 10 when the transmission request was transmitted or received. By combining the user information image 156 indicating the time when the user terminal 100 transmitted the transmission request in this manner, secondary use of the composite image 154 is suppressed. In the illustrated example, the user information image 156 indicating the time when the transmission request was transmitted is shown, but this is not limited to this. For example, if the image is only made public for a predetermined period of time and can be purchased, a user information image indicating the order in which the transmission requests were output may be combined. Furthermore, instead of a simple order, a user information image indicating a title corresponding to the order may be displayed. In this way, by combining a user information image indicating the time when the transmission request was transmitted or received, the order in which the transmission requests were output, a title (e.g., "First to purchase!"), etc., it is possible to indirectly identify the user, thereby suppressing secondary use of the composite image.
[0112] FIG. 15 is a conceptual diagram showing a composite image having a specific example 3 of a user information image.
[0113] A composite image 158 is a conceptual diagram showing a composite image having a specific example 3 of a user information image.
[0114] The composite image 158 is a composite of a user information image 160 indicating messages exchanged between the user and the idol and an idol image M. Messages exchanged with the idol consist of messages received and / or sent by the user, and are stored, for example, in an application installed on the user's terminal. By displaying the user information image 160 indicating messages exchanged with the idol, secondary use of the composite image 158 containing messages exchanged by others is suppressed, as the value of the composite image 158 may decrease and become difficult to resell. Furthermore, the value of the image increases for the user because the user's own messages are combined with the image. The idol's message does not have to be from the idol herself; it may be an automatic response from a manager or AI (artificial intelligence).
[0115] FIG. 16 is a conceptual diagram showing a composite image having a specific example 4 of a user information image.
[0116] The composite image 162 has user information images 162A and 162B that change each time a transmission request is received. FIG. 16A shows a composite image 162 having a user information image 162A when a transmission request is received for the first time. In this case, the transmission request is received for the first time, and a user information image 162A with a large user name is synthesized. FIG. 16B shows a user information image 162B when a transmission request is received for the second time. In this case, the transmission request is received for the second time, and a user information image 162B with a small user name is synthesized. In this way, the user information image may be changed each time a transmission request is received. The user information image may also be changed depending on the frequency with which transmission requests for the same idol image are received. For example, in the case of a new user, the information shown in the user information image is information that can directly identify the user, such as the user's face image and name. In the case of a regular user, the information shown in the user information image is information that identifies the user in relation to the user, such as a user ID.
[0117] FIG. 17 is a conceptual diagram showing a composite image having a specific example 5 of a user information image.
[0118] The composite image 170 is a collage-style image made up of multiple frames. The composite image 170 has a user information image 170A placed in at least one of the multiple frames. By placing the user information image 170A in one frame in this way, it is possible to suppress the influence of the image on other frames. The user information image 170A is also made up of a QR code (registered trademark). This QR code is a link associated with information related to the user. The user information image may also display information that cannot be visually confirmed but can be read using a special method, such as a digital watermark.
[0119] FIG. 18 is a conceptual diagram showing a composite image having a specific example 6 of a user information image.
[0120] The composite image 172 has a user information image 172A showing the entire body of the user. That is, the composite image 172 is a two-shot image of the idol 172B and the user. Note that this two-shot image may be generated by the generation AI provided in the generation unit 12B or the generation unit 112D described above. In this way, by having the user information image 172A showing the entire body of the user, the composite image 172 is prevented from being used in a secondary manner.
[0121] <Other 1> In the above embodiment, the hardware structure of the processing unit that executes various processes is the following various processors: The various processors include a CPU (Central Processing Unit), which is a general-purpose processor that executes software (programs) and functions as various processing units, a programmable logic device (PLD), such as an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), whose circuit configuration can be changed after manufacture, and a dedicated electrical circuit, such as an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit), which is a processor with a circuit configuration designed specifically for executing specific processes.
[0122] A single processing unit may be configured with one of these various processors, or may be configured with two or more processors of the same or different types (e.g., multiple FPGAs, or a combination of a CPU and an FPGA). Multiple processing units may also be configured with a single processor. Examples of multiple processing units configured with a single processor include: a first configuration, as typified by client or server computers, in which a single processor is configured with a combination of one or more CPUs and software, and this processor functions as multiple processing units; and a second configuration, as typified by system-on-chip (SoC), in which a processor is used to realize the functions of an entire system including multiple processing units on a single IC (Integrated Circuit) chip. In this way, the various processing units are configured with one or more of the above-mentioned various processors as a hardware structure.
[0123] Furthermore, the hardware structure of these various processors is, more specifically, an electric circuit made up of a combination of circuit elements such as semiconductor elements.
[0124] The above-described configurations and functions can be realized by any hardware, software, or a combination of both. For example, the present invention can be applied to a program that causes a computer to execute the above-described processing steps (processing procedures), a computer-readable recording medium (non-transitory recording medium) on which such a program is recorded, or a computer on which such a program can be installed.
[0125] <Other 2> [Screen Examples] Below, we will explain example screens of the photographer terminal and the user terminal 100. Note that in the examples below, names of celebrities (including idols), group names, etc., and user names, etc. may be listed, but these are all fictitious. Also, in implementing the present invention, the numerical values of fees and points may differ from the values in the following screen examples. Note that in the places in the figures where "XXX..." is written, comments from celebrities, etc., are displayed in text.
[0126] [Initial Screen of User Terminal] FIG. 19 is a diagram illustrating an example of an initial screen of the user terminal 100 (image receiving device, terminal device). In the screen 900, area 900A displays the user's name or a display name such as a nickname. If the user does not have a registered talent that they follow or a talent that they particularly support (the aforementioned "oshi," "oshimen," or "oshi-member"), a representative image of a talent recommended by the system is displayed in area 900B. When the user taps a representative image, the screen of the user terminal 100 transitions to the screen of each talent (see, for example, FIG. 22). The user terminal 100 can display multiple representative images (e.g., 10 images) and can also display them in descending order of the number of users following them. Furthermore, if the user does not have a registered talent to follow, tapping label 900C labeled "Find a Favorite" transitions the screen of the user terminal 100 to a state in which the user can search for a talent (see, for example, FIG. 29).
[0127] Area 900D displays photos currently being distributed (photos that have not been purchased or printed). Area 900E displays photos that users have purchased and printed. Each photo displays the number of users who purchased and printed the photo and the number of users who reacted to the photo (by posting a comment on the photo, selecting an icon that shows the user's feelings, etc.).
[0128] FIG. 20 is a diagram showing an example of an initial screen when the user has already registered the talent to be followed. Similar to the example of FIG. 19 , the screen 902 shown in FIG. 20 displays an area 902A displaying the user's name or a display name such as a nickname. Area 902B also displays representative images of the talent the user is following. When the user taps on a representative image, the screen transitions to the screen for that talent (see, for example, FIG. 22 ). If there has been an update since the last time the screen was viewed (e.g., the start of distribution of new photos, an announcement of an event, etc.), the user terminal 100 preferably displays the representative image of that talent in an identifiable manner (e.g., by adding a mark).
[0129] Even if a talent to follow is registered, when the user taps label 902C that displays "Add a favorite," the screen transitions to a state where the user can search for talent (see, for example, FIG. 29).
[0130] Areas 902D and 902E display photos currently being distributed, purchased, and printed, respectively, in the same manner as described above for areas 900D and 900E.
[0131] Fig. 21 is a diagram showing yet another example of the initial screen of the user terminal 100. Similar to the examples of Figs. 19 and 17, the screen 904 shown in Fig. 21 displays an area 902A that displays the user's name or a display name such as a nickname. When the user taps area 904B, the screen transitions to a screen for registering a talent to follow. Area 904C displays information such as event announcements, and area 904D displays a list (or multiple) of currently streaming Instax cameras.
[0132] [Screen for Each Talent] FIG. 22 is a diagram showing an example of a top screen for each talent on the user terminal 100. The top screen displays information about the talent. In the screen 905 shown in the figure, area 905A displays the talent's name (or title), and, if applicable, the group name. Tapping left or right on area 905B transitions to a screen displaying information about other talents. Area 905C displays icons indicating the number of photo distributions, the number of followers, and whether or not the talent is being followed. Furthermore, tapping the "+" (plus or minus sign) in area 905D expands area 905D to display the talent's profile. The displayed profile is, for example, information entered on the screens shown in FIGS. 33 and 31 (described later). When area 905D is expanded, the cross mark changes to a "-" (minus or minus sign), and tapping the "-" closes (collapses) the profile display. Area 905E displays a message from the talent. Also, a list of photos of the talent may be displayed at the bottom of area 905E (not shown in FIG. 22).
[0133] Figure 23 shows a screen for an individual photo of a celebrity on the user terminal 100. This figure shows the state in which the photo has been uploaded and is now available for purchase and printing. On the screen 906 shown in Figure 23, a notice that the photo has been uploaded is displayed in area 906A. Different messages may be displayed for normal photos and special photos (premium photos). Area 906B displays the distribution period for the photo (the period during which the photo can be purchased and printed).
[0134] In area 906C, a framed image of the photo is displayed. This image is unclear until it is printed, and becomes clearly visible after printing. In this embodiment, the period during which the photo can be purchased and printed may be limited. In the example shown in FIG. 23, the remaining time from the start of distribution of the photo is counted down in area 906B. When the count reaches zero, the display pattern changes to indicate that the photo cannot be purchased or printed. In addition, on screen 906, the background of the photo is displayed in a color or pattern selected by the user or talent. For premium photos, the background color or pattern may be different from that of regular photos to create a sense of luxury.
[0135] Area 906C displays the number of reactions to the photo by users who have already printed it. Different icons correspond to different reactions. Area 906D displays a large icon (a heart mark in the example of FIG. 23 ) of the reaction with the highest number when the user opens screen 906, among the reactions by users who have already printed it. Area 906E is a comment area, and displays the sender's (talent, etc.) name (title), affiliation (group name, etc.), representative image, and comment.
[0136] When the user taps label 906F, the screen returns to the talent's top screen (for example, the state shown in FIG. 22). Area 906G displays important notes in text, and area 906H displays the points required to purchase a photo. When the user taps area 906I, the screen transitions to a photo purchase and printing screen.
[0137] It should be noted that a "following area" may be provided on the screen of Fig. 23. This following area includes, for example, area 906H and area 906I, and is always displayed at the bottom of the screen regardless of scrolling or other operations.
[0138] [Limitations on Service Content According to User Type] In this embodiment, limitations may be placed on service content (e.g., the number of photos that can be printed). These limitations may vary depending on the user's type or attribute (e.g., general member and premium member, or bronze member, gold member, and platinum member; one aspect of attribute information). FIG. 24 illustrates an example screen displayed on the user terminal 100 when a user (assumed to be a general member) reaches the print limit. In the screen 908, a message stating "The print limit has been reached" and a message stating "Become a premium member and enjoy unlimited prints" are displayed in area 908A. Additionally, an overview of the premium membership service and a statement regarding the premium membership monthly fee and free period are displayed in areas 908B and 908C. When the user taps label 908D, the terms of use for premium membership are displayed, and check box 908E is activated (allowing it to be turned on or off). When the user checks check box 908E, area 908F is activated, allowing the user to complete the premium membership registration process.
[0139] [Photo Printing Screen] Figure 25 is a diagram showing an example of a screen displayed on the user terminal 100 while a photo is being printed. This screen 910 is displayed after the purchase check is complete and the purchase is completed. Because printing photos on instant film takes time, it is preferable to display "Printing" on the screen. The timing of the start and completion of printing can be determined based on information from the printer itself. In addition, on the screen shown in Figure 25, the background color of area 910A and the reaction button 910B can be the color set by the celebrity for the photo (a color representing the celebrity's emotion toward the photo; also known as "emotion color"). The reaction button 910B on screen 910 is not intended to accept taps on screen 910, but rather to prompt the user to tap on the next print completion screen. Once photo printing is complete, the screen of the user terminal 100 transitions to the print completion screen shown in Figure 26.
[0140] [Printing Completion Screen] Figure 26 is a diagram showing an example of a printing completion screen (a screen displayed when the printer has finished printing a photo) on the user terminal 100. In this screen 912, a message indicating printing completion is displayed in area 912A. The number of miles or points earned by the user may also be displayed. Area 912B displays the delivery date and time of the photo, and area 912C displays the printed photo in a frame. As in the examples of Figures 23 and 26, the photo is not displayed clearly before printing, and is only displayed clearly after printing, thereby motivating the user to purchase and print the photo. Furthermore, once printing is performed, the number of prints is reflected in the count of prints shown in Figure 21.
[0141] Additionally, a reaction button 912D is displayed on the screen 912. As described above, once printing of the photo is complete, the user can tap the reaction button 912D, allowing the user to express their feelings by tapping. The result of the tap is reflected in the reaction count results shown in FIGS. 21 and 23.
[0142] 26 is a comment area, and displays the sender's (celebrity's) name, affiliation, representative image, and comment. When the user taps area 912F, the screen of the user terminal 100 transitions to a photo album (a list of photos recommended for printing by celebrities the user follows; see FIG. 27).
[0143] [Photo Album] Figure 27 is a diagram showing an example of a photo album screen display on the user terminal 100. On the screen 914, the top area 914A displays the sender's (celebrity's) name or title and affiliation. Area 914B is a fixed area, displaying icons indicating selectable menus. Area 914C is an area displaying the date of the photo displayed on the screen, and is displayed in a fixed area when the screen is scrolled (displayed in the same area on the screen). The date itself in area 914C changes in conjunction with the displayed photo.
[0144] Area 914D displays a list of photos. It is preferable to display purchased and printed photos differently from unpurchased photos. For example, as described above, it is possible to turn blurring on and off before and after purchase and printing, or to add or remove the "unpurchased" label. In addition, in area 914D, premium photos are marked with the word "Premium." Area 914D also displays the most popular reaction from all users for each photo.
[0145] [Example of display order of photos in list display] An example of the display order of photos in list display will be described. The standard display order is newest, and only photos that have been distributed can be displayed (they will not be displayed while being distributed). As shown in the example of FIG. 27, photos are displayed in sets of three in the following order: "no enlargement," "enlarged and left-justified," "no enlargement," and "enlarged and right-justified." Only purchased photos are subject to enlargement, and if a purchased Instax is not among the three, they will not be enlarged. Furthermore, if two or more photos have been purchased, the newest one will be enlarged. If the bottom row does not contain a set of three photos (if there is only one or two photos), the photos in that row will not be enlarged.
[0146] [Details Screen for Each Photo] Figure 28 is a diagram showing an example of a details screen for each photo. This screen 916 is displayed from a photo list screen or a calendar display screen. Tapping button 916A on screen 916 returns to the original screen. Area 916B shows the title of screen 916. Area 916C shows the details of the photo, and is common to both the user (fan) and the talent. It displays the background color (displayed in the selected color), the distribution date and time, the image (framed) included in the photo, and a reaction icon. The image displayed in area 916C is clear if the photo has been purchased, and blurred and not clearly visible if the photo has not been purchased. Once input is complete and the errors are resolved, tapping button 928H transitions to the account creation completion screen.
[0155] [Posting a Photo] Figure 35 is an example of a screen for posting a photo (regular photo or premium photo) on a photographer's terminal. On screen 930, if there is a "notice" from the system that requires a response from the talent, a message is displayed in area 930A, and tapping this message transitions to a screen listing the notices. An example of a "notice requiring a response" might be, "There was a problem with the image or comment of a time-limited photo (a photo that can be purchased and printed by users for a limited period of time) that the talent tried to post, and the post was returned to the talent after the talent's manager pointed it out."
[0156] If there is no "notice requiring action" as described above, a screen like that shown in Fig. 36 is displayed. In screen 932, an upper area 932A displays the talent's account name, group name, representative image (profile image), etc., and tapping this area transitions to a screen for checking and editing account information (see, for example, Fig. 32).
[0157] Screen 932 shown in Figure 36 is a screen for posting the time-limited photo described above, and tapping button 932B transitions to a screen for posting a 10-minute limited photo (a photo that can only be purchased and printed for 10 minutes). Buttons 932C and 932D are buttons for transitioning to a list screen of photos currently being saved and a list screen of photos scheduled for distribution, and label 932E is a label for transitioning to a photo album. Such time-limited photos not only increase the rarity of the photo, but also allow fans to experience the feeling of being "connected to the talent they support right now."
[0158] [Photo Distribution Settings] FIG. 37 is a diagram showing an example of a screen for setting up photo distribution. A button 934A for returning to the talent's personal page is displayed at the top of the screen 934, and a title ("Distribution Settings") is displayed in area 934B. Note that the system also allows the talent to post photos with audio, depending on their settings.
[0159] [Detailed Photo Distribution Settings] FIG. 38 is a diagram showing an example of a screen (an example of a screen on a photographer's terminal) for detailed settings for photo distribution. Note that FIG. 38 illustrates the case of distributing time-limited photos. In the screen 936 shown in the figure, a button 936A for returning to the previous screen (e.g., the screen of FIG. 37 ) is displayed at the top, and the screen title ("Detailed Registration") is displayed in an area 936B. An image of the photo to be posted (as printed on instant film) is displayed in a frame in an area 936C. Tapping a label 936D below it transitions to an editing screen where the image can be edited (enlarged, reduced, rotated, moved, cropped, etc.). A button 936E is displayed at the bottom of the screen, and tapping this button transitions to a confirmation screen. If all required fields have not been entered, it is preferable to deactivate button 936E.
[0160] In this embodiment, the details that can be set may be different between normal photos and premium photos. For example, in the case of premium photos, an image color and a comment may be added to the image as shown in FIG.
[0161] [Displaying a List of Photos Awaiting Approval] In the image distribution system 11, photos posted by talents may be uploaded and published only after approval by a manager or other authorized approver. FIG. 39 is a diagram showing an example screen displaying a list of photos awaiting approval. In the screen 938 shown in the figure, a button 938A for returning to the previous page (e.g., the manager's personal page) is provided at the top of the screen, and the page title ("List of Photos Awaiting Approval") is displayed in area 938B. Area 938C is an area for switching the list display target. "All" is selected by default, and photos awaiting approval for all talents managed by a manager or other such person are displayed in area 938D at the bottom of the screen. Tapping an individual talent's image in area 938C displays only photos awaiting approval by that talent in area 938D. Area 938D displays photos awaiting approval, displaying, for example, the image used for the photo, the distribution time, the talent's name or title, the group name, and any comments or messages from the talent, in order of the release time. In the case of a premium photo, a display indicating this is displayed (in the example of FIG. 39, an icon displaying "Premium" is added).
[0162] When the area of one of the photos is tapped while the photos are displayed in a list, the screen transitions to a posting content approval screen (see, for example, FIG. 40).
