Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a work platform with an automatic brake device, and more specifically, to a work platform with an automatic brake device that is moved by a conveying wheel when pushed by a worker, and when the worker steps onto the platform, the brake is applied so that it is not moved on the ground. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, work platforms or workbenches are designed to be pushed and moved by a worker.

[0003] These mobile work platforms are equipped with wheels and are designed to allow workers to easily move the platform at the work site.

[0004] However, conventional mobile work platforms have a problem in that they easily shift when a worker steps onto them, forcing the worker to work in an unsafe condition.

[0005] To address these issues, locking devices are being added to prevent movement, or platforms that automatically lock when they reach a specific position are being developed; however, switching between movement and locking functions is often inconvenient or inefficient, leading to reduced worker convenience and necessitating improvements.

[0006] As a background technology for an invention related thereto, Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2024-0029871 (liftable work platform device) has been disclosed.

[0007] The disclosed lifting work platform device comprises: a lifting platform unit having a plurality of housing-type box bodies configured to move up and down in a telescoping manner; a lifting drive unit configured to be provided inside the lifting platform unit and to raise and lower the innermost box body of the lifting platform unit; a rolling wheel provided on the lifting platform unit; and a handle provided on one side of the lifting platform unit. [0021] According to an embodiment of the present invention, in a work platform with an automatic brake device that is easy to move via a rotating wheel in normal circumstances and does not move when a worker steps on it for work, the platform comprises: a fixed platform (10) formed in the shape of a square plate so as to serve as a platform for the worker during work; a platform leg (20) formed in the shape of a square column and connected to the lower corner of the fixed platform (10); and a height-adjustable support (30) coupled to the lower surface of the platform leg (20) and supported on the ground, which is height-adjustable so that the platform leg (20) can be raised and lowered. The automatic brake device work platform is provided, comprising: a resilient transfer unit (40) which is coupled to one side of the lower end of the platform leg (20) to allow the worker to transfer the work platform and provides elastic force to the platform leg (20); wherein the resilient transfer unit (40) is characterized in that when the work platform is pushed horizontally, the work platform is transferred on the ground, and when a predetermined load is applied to the fixed platform (10), the height adjustment support (30) touches the ground and the work platform is not transferred on the ground.

[0022] The automatic brake device work platform of the present invention may be configured to include a fixed platform (10), a platform leg (20), a height-adjustable support (30), and a resilient transfer unit (40).

[0023] The above fixed platform (10) can be formed in the shape of a square plate and can serve as a platform when the worker performs tasks such as construction or maintenance at a high position.

[0024] The above fixed footrest (10) may have a number of protrusions formed on it or be treated with a non-slip coating so that the worker does not slip while working, and a rubber or silicone pad may be additionally placed to increase friction with the shoes worn by the worker.

[0025] The above footrest legs (20) may be provided to extend to the lower side of the corners of the above fixed footrest (10), and in an embodiment of the present invention, a square plate-shaped fixed footrest (10) is adopted and a total of four footrest legs (20) are applied, one for each corner.

[0026] The above footrest (20) can be formed in various lengths as long as it allows a worker to easily perform work at a high position, and a foldable or longitudinally extendable footrest (20) may be applied.

[0027] The height-adjustable support (30) is attached to the lower side of the footrest leg (20) and can be placed on the ground to support the work platform when the worker steps onto the fixed platform (10).

[0028] The above elastic transfer unit (40) can serve the function of transferring the work platform of the present invention when the worker pushes it, and allowing the work platform to be placed on the ground without being transferred when the worker steps onto the platform.

[0029] A detailed description of the above elastic transfer unit (40) will be given later.

[0030] Additionally, the elastic transfer unit (40) comprises: a mounting member (41) coupled to one side of the lower end of the footrest leg (20); a linear bushing (42) that is detachably fastened to one side of the mounting member (41) and has a predetermined cylindrical hole formed therein and has a bearing embedded therein; a shaft (43) that is fastened to the cylindrical hole of the linear bushing (42) and is capable of linear movement in a direction perpendicular to the ground through the bearing; a spring (44) that is arranged to surround the shaft (43) and provides elastic force; a wheel support (45) that is fastened to the lower side of the shaft (43) and is capable of rotating 360 degrees in a direction horizontal to the ground; and a transfer wheel (46) that is fastened to the wheel support (45); thereby providing an automatic brake device work platform.

[0031] The elastic transfer unit (40) of the present invention may be configured to include a mounting member (41), a linear bushing (42), a shaft (43), a spring (44), a wheel support (45), and a transfer wheel (46).

[0032] The above mounting member (41) is a support member that connects the linear bushing (42) and the footrest leg (20), and may be composed of a certain metal material to withstand the stress generated in the linear bushing (42) and the footrest leg (20). However, it may be changed to various other materials as long as it can withstand the generated stress.

[0033] The above linear bushing (42) can be used together with the shaft (43) to guide the movement of the shaft (43) smoothly and accurately.

[0034] The above linear bushing (42) may have a ball bearing or roller bearing built in to minimize friction at the contact surface with the shaft (43), and may be made of a high-strength material so as to minimize wear or breakage and provide stable performance even when a high load is applied.

[0035] The shaft (43) is connected to the linear bushing (42) to perform rotational or linear motion, and when a worker steps onto the fixed platform (10), the linear bushing (42) located on the upper part of the shaft (43) is guided along the outer surface of the shaft (43) and can descend.

[0036] The spring (44) can be positioned to wrap around the shaft (43) and can be compressed when a worker steps onto the work platform and extended again when the worker steps down to adjust the position of the linear bushing (42) relative to the shaft (43). At this time, it is preferable to install a bushing at the location where the linear bushing (42) and the spring (44) come into contact to prevent the snap ring and rubber cover of the linear bushing (42) from being damaged.

[0037] The wheel support (45) and the conveying wheel (46) are attached to the lower side of the shaft (43) and perform the function of conveying the work platform of the present invention when a force is applied in a direction horizontal to the ground while there is no worker on the fixed platform (10).

[0038] Additionally, the automatic brake device work platform is provided, characterized in that both sides of the mounting member (41) are formed in a trapezoidal shape with a wider surface connected to the footrest leg (20) side so as to distribute the stress applied due to the load.

[0039] FIG. 3 is a diagram showing how a load applied to the work platform of the present invention generates stress in a specific part of the mounting member (41). The mounting member (41) connecting the linear bushing (42) and the mounting member (41) is subjected to various forms of stress, such as compression, tension, and shear, internally. At this time, stress concentration may occur in the cross-section or structurally weak parts of the mounting member (41), which may result in breakage or deformation.

[0040] Therefore, as shown in Fig. 3, it is preferable to form both sides of the mounting member (41) in a trapezoidal shape so as to disperse the concentration of stress.

[0041] In addition, a handle may be provided on one side of the fixed platform (10), and the worker can use the handle to easily move the platform.

[0042] With the above configuration, the automatic brake device work platform of the present invention can be moved in the direction in which force is applied through the conveying wheel (46) when a worker pushes it in a direction horizontal to the ground.

[0043] Additionally, when a worker steps onto the fixed platform (10), the spring (44) is compressed and the linear bushing (42) descends along the outer surface of the shaft (43), and accordingly, the platform leg (20) connected to the linear bushing (42) descends together and settles on the ground, thereby allowing the work platform to be fixed without moving on the ground.
