A mineral material bin lifting and interchanging device for deep-sea mining

Abstract

This invention discloses a mineral material bin lifting and interchanging device for deep-sea mining. When only one of the bins, either the full bin or the empty bin, reaches the interchanging device, the bin stops on the device. It waits for the other bin to also reach the device before rotating the interchanger. Once both the upgoing full bin and the downgoing empty bin reach the interchanging device, the device initiates a switch, effectively exchanging the positions of the full bin and empty bin on a single cable.
