Abstract

The present invention relates to an oversaturated aqueous solution comprising a mixture of inorganic alkali metal salts for (thermal) energy storage. The present invention further relates to a method for the production of a mixture of molten salt using the oversaturated aqueous solution comprising a salt mixture and the use of the oversaturated aqueous solution or a salt mixture-for the storage of (thermal) energy.
