Abstract
The present invention relates to a sustainable process for dyeing native cotton using natural extract from Buddleja coriacea and ecological mordants of lemon salt, applied under optimized conditions of pH, temperature, and time. The invention solves technical problems related to the poor colorfastness of vegetable dyes and the deterioration of textile properties. The results show a significant improvement in colorimetric parameters (L, C) and in the maintenance of physical characteristics such as DMF and FC. This technology provides an eco-efficient solution for the textile industry, revalues Andean fibers and traditional knowledge, and allows for a reduction in dependence on synthetic dyes, promoting environmentally sustainable and culturally relevant practices.
