Abstract

The subject of the application is an extract of flowers, leaves and / or seed capsules of Impatiens and pandanus leaves, in dry and / or liquid form, characterized in that it is obtained from Impatiens grandulifera with the addition of Pandanus amaryllis, wherein the extract is characterized by a total polyphenol content in the range of 13.0 to 51.0 mg of gallic acid equivalent per g of dry extract and a method of obtaining it by ultrasonic extraction, as well as its use as an agent with antioxidant, skin-lightening, anti-wrinkle and anti-inflammatory properties, inhibiting the activity of collagenase, elastase, lipoxygenase and tyrosinase, not showing a cytotoxic effect on human skin fibroblasts and meeting the requirements of a skin compatibility test, in cosmetics or in dietary supplements.
