Abstract
Description
[0001] Qualification:
[0002] Cap with valve for injecting positive atmospheric pressure into reusable aerosol containers.
[0003] Descriptive Memory
[0004] This application is directed to a cap that fits over a silicone valve and secures it to a container by screwing it onto it and sealing it, allowing its interior to be filled with atmospheric pressure, to be used and reused as a continuous flow aerosol.
[0005] Description of what is known in the field
[0006] The device's main application is its use in portable refillable aerosol containers. These containers can vary in shape and function by modifying the fluid content to be dispensed, as well as the atmospheric pressure required to spray the material smoothly, continuously, and safely toward the exterior. The applications for these refillable aerosols are varied, ranging from use in spray paints, cleaning aerosols, gardening, lubrication, and more. Currently, we can find a variety of options for manual and refillable aerosol systems on the market. Their different solutions for filling the interior with atmospheric pressure are generally sophisticated and complicated, as they often require removing the spray valve to refill the liquid tank and then adding atmospheric pressure through the same spray valve via a complex system adapted to a Schrader valve.Other devices have systems that feature cap-type devices with a stem-type valve with a dispensing nozzle and a Schrader or Presta valve on one side, which presents obvious ergonomic and design drawbacks. We can even find some products where the Schrader valve is located at the base of the aerosol can, but the long and complicated valve, more than 5 cm long, complicates the design of the container and takes up space in the tank. Unfortunately, none of these products have managed to replace disposable spray cans, which are not only detrimental to the environment due to their disposable packaging, but also because they often use toxic gases to generate atmospheric pressure inside. An important area for improvement is that they cannot customize the contents to suit the desired application.Perhaps the reason they haven't yet conquered the market is that their offerings are too cumbersome and impractical. The proposed cap with a replaceable valve for injecting pressure into reusable aerosol containers (Fig. 1) is simple, inexpensive, allows for easy valve replacement, and the cap's small, flat size simplifies the container's design and the functionality of the aerosol system (Fig. 3).
[0007] Model Description.
[0008] The Cap (1 ) with replaceable valve for injecting pressure into reusable aerosol containers (Fig. 1 ) is made from a solid piece and comprises a silicone valve (2) for inflating balls. It consists of the Cap (1 ) cylindrical thread that has a round hole in the center through which the part of the silicone valve (2) that goes outwards can peek out as shown in Fig. 1. The diameter and height of the cap can vary. The round hole in the center is approximately 8 mm in diameter so that the stem of the silicone valve (2) can emerge. The central hole of the solid body of the Cap (1 ) widens from its center in a stepped and radial manner to support the center of the rubber valve, which is wider, as detailed in Fig. 1. The lid (1) is screwed onto a threaded mouth of the container (3) which is specially designed to also fit the shape of the rubber valve, i.e. it has a hole of approx.8 mm that allows the valve to pass inwards, but holds it by its widest part as detailed in (Fig. 2) and that when pressed seals the interior of the container. The Mouth is located at the base of a container, which in turn comprises an aerosol valve (7) at the top of it and a concave base with the male threaded mouth in its center (Fig. 2). The base of the container is sufficiently concave so that the lid does not prevent it from standing on its base (Fig. 3). To fill the interior of the container with positive atmospheric pressure, an inflation valve adapter (5) is used.

[0014] Model Description.
[0015] The Lid (1) with replaceable valve for injecting pressure into reusable aerosol containers (Fig. 1) is made of a solid piece and comprises a silicone valve (2) for inflating balls. It consists of the Lid (1) cylindrical thread that has a round hole in the center through which the part of the silicone valve (2) that goes outwards can peek out as shown in Fig. 1 . The diameter and height of the lid may vary. The round hole in the center is approximately 8 mm in diameter for the stem of the silicone valve (2) to emerge. The central hole of the solid body of the Lid (1) widens from its center in a stepped and radial manner to support the center of the rubber valve, which is wider, as detailed in Fig. Application example.
[0016] The best example and the main use for which the Cap with Valve (Fig. 1) is conceived is to inject atmospheric pressure into reusable aerosol containers. To use in refillable spray cans for painting as shown in Fig. 3. One way to make the Cap is to machine it (CNC) from a digital model. In soft metal such as aluminum. Another way to manufacture it can be high-density injected plastic that provides precision and resistance. The container could also be manufactured in resistant injected plastic or machined aluminum. The valve system has standard measurements and its manufacturers have options for different uses, the system could include different types of valves (Fig. 4) depending on the use that is pursued. The silicone valve (2) is also a standard in the sports ball industry and its function is resolved and optimized, The Cap (1) and The Mouth (Fig.2) are designed to fit the measurements of the silicone valve (2), thus facilitating their replacement. Once the parts are integrated into the system, the device is ready for use. The main objective is to develop a refillable aerosol system that is efficient and simple, in which the product to be sprayed, its composition, color, transparency and even the pressure with which the spray is to be atomized can be customized to taste. This would provide greater freedom of use for artists and fans of painting, graffiti or hobbies. It is important to mention that if a system like this is adopted, pollution from disposable cans could be greatly reduced, meaning a tremendous environmental contribution.
[0017] Description of the Drawings:
[0018] 1 . — The Cap. The Cap with replaceable valve for injecting atmospheric pressure into aerosol containers is basically constructed from a single solid piece. It is a screw-on cap made of high-density injected plastic or soft metal such as aluminum, or some material with similar characteristics, machined by Computer Numerical Control, acronym CNC, from a digital model. Size may vary. It has a round hole in the center of approximately 8 mm for the stem of a silicone valve (2) to emerge. The central hole of the solid body of The Cap widens at its center in a stepped and radial shape to hold the center of a silicone valve (2).
[0019] 2. — Silicone valve. The silicone valve (2) is a standard valve used on sports balls such as soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, and others to inflate them. It is a rubber or silicone valve shaped like a cylinder with a wider, flatter belt-like valve in the center, allowing it to fit and attach to the balls.
[0020] 3. — Threaded mouth of the container. The threaded mouth of the container, to which the Lid (1) is joined with the silicone valve (2), is part of the container or tank and is a cylinder with threads on the curved outer face. In its center it has a smaller hole for the rubber valve to pass through and a wider space to fix the wide part of the valve without it entering the container and to fit it perfectly.
[0021] 4. — Container. The container may have a cylindrical, capsule-like shape very similar to spray paint cans for its portable version. With an aerosol valve (7) at the top that can be removed. The mouth to screw the lid with the valve could ideally be located at the base of the container (fig. 2). The base of the container has a concave shape that allows the Lid (1) to be placed in the center allowing the container to stand on its base.
Claims
5. — Inflation valve adapter. This is an accessory adapter that fits through the silicone valve (2) and can be connected to any inflation device with a Schrader valve connection.
6. — Spray Nozzle. Standard aerosol nozzle used for paint cans and / or various types of aerosols.
7. — Aerosol Valve. Standard spray system that sprays material continuously through the nozzle when pressed.
8. — Adapter cap. Adapter cap for connecting the hose to a paint gun and / or airbrush (Fig. 5).
9. — Pond. The pond (fig. 5) can be larger and not have a spray valve, but instead have an outlet for connecting a spray gun hose or airbrush, so it can function as a manual compressor pond. The pond can be made of high-density plastic or metal, such as aluminum.
