[0088] In an embodiment of the present invention, the plurality of players might have few options similar to the options in a conventional poker game. The options may include raise, call, match, or fold as a blind or seen player.
[0089] In one exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the players are allowed to bet less than a previous bet of the game.
[0090] More specifically, it is not necessary for the players to match the best from the beginning of the game.
[0091] In another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the players are allowed to raise the bet by more than or equal to 1.5 times (1 ,5x) of the previous bet.
[0092] However, it should be understood that the above rules may also change. Therefore, such an explanation is only exemplary, and not a limitation to the present invention.
[0093] In another embodiment of the present invention, the players are allowed to bet in the game without seeing their cards i.e., to play blind.
[0094] In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the players are allowed to play blind after seeing one card of the dealt cards. More specifically, the players may see one of the dealt cards, and without seeing the remaining cards (which are in folded position), and may play their turn.
[0095] Again, referring to Fig. 1A, at step (20), the method (100) involves identifying the one or more all-in players of the game via an identification module (60).
[0096] In the embodiment of the present invention, if the players do not have a sufficient amount for betting or the players finish their wallets, the players may go all-in in the game, and based on this, the all-in players are identified.
[0097] The method (100), at step (22), involves creating a side -pot associated with each all- in player of the identified one or more all-in players via a pot creation module (70) (refer Figs. 1A, 2 & 3).
[0098] “Side-pot” herein refers to an additional pot that is created for the players who go all- in in the game.
[0099] More specifically, multiple side -pots may be created in the game based on the number of all-in players.
[0100] In the embodiment of the present invention, a main pot is also created for one or more active players of the plurality of players as shown in step (22) of the method (100) (refer Fig. IB).
[0101] The side-pot associated with each all-in player is added with a predetermined amount of the total amount contributed by each player of the plurality of players during the game at step (22a) of the method (100) (refer Fig. IB).
[0102] In the embodiment of the present invention, the said predetermined amount being added is based on a bet amount of the each player playing the game
[0103] In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the predetermined amount is added by executing a predefined algorithm by the processing module. The said algorithm is executed at step (22b) for:- identifying a starting point in the betting rounds that the player plays before going all in,- identifying a final point in the betting rounds that the player plays before going all in, and- computing the side-pot associated with each all-in player independently (refer Fig. IB).
[0104] In the embodiment of the present invention, the starting point herein refers to a point when the amount is collected at the beginning of every hand.
[0105] In the embodiment of the present invention, the final point herein refers to a point when all players (not just the player going all-in) have completed all rounds of betting and the winnings have to be distributed.
[0106] In the embodiment of the present invention, the all-in player may win the side-pot associated with the said player without betting further in the game.
[0107] In one embodiment of the present invention, the method involves restricting the creation of a pot for one or more players folded during the game.
[0108] In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the creation of side-pot and addition of amount in the side-pot is explained in below paragraphs with reference to Table- 1.Table- 1
[0109] In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the above Table- 1 is explained by taking the amount as tokens.
[0110] In the above-mentioned Example- 1, there are 5 players playing the game, and the players have seen all their cards.
[0111] In bet 1, a player “A” bets 2 tokens, a player “B” has raised the bet 2 times the player “A” bet, i.e., the player “B” bet 4 tokens, a player “C” has raised the bet 1.5 times the player “C” bet, i.e., the player “C” bet 6 tokens.
[0112] Further, the players “D” and “E” match the previous bet, and bet 6 tokens.
[0113] In betting round 2, player “A” bet 6 tokens which is 1.5 times more than the Player “B” last bet.
[0114] Further, in the betting round 2, all the players “B” to “E” match the previous bet, and bet 6 tokens.
[0115] In betting round 3, a player “A” goes all-in and bets 1 token, and the game ends with player “B” bet with 6 tokens.
[0116] In an embodiment of the present invention, the identification module (60) identifies the all-in player “A”, and creates the side -pot for the player “A”.
[0117] In the embodiment of the present invention, the player “A” contributes the whole amount i.e., 9 tokens in his side-pot.
[0118] And, the player “B” contributes (4+6+1) = 11 tokens, and the player “C” contributes (6+1) = 7 tokens in the side-pot associated with the said player “A”.
[0119] Similarly, the players “D & E” contribute 7 tokens in the side -pot associated with the said player “A”.
[0120] Therefore, the side -pot for the player “A” has been added with 41 tokens. More specially, if player “A” wins the game, he is assigned with the side-pot and will get 41 tokens.
[0121] For other players “B” to “E”, a main pot is created of 61 tokens.
[0122] In the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the players “C” to “E” raise their bet over player “B”, and each player “C” to “E” has bet 12 tokens in the game. More specifically, the said players “C” to “E” get benefit of raise, and will get 61 tokens (if they win).
[0123] On the other hand, the player “B” has put in 16 tokens in the game, and may get same number of tokens as players “C” to “E”.
[0124] In another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, creation of side -pot and addition of amount in the side-pot are explained in below paragraphs with reference to Table- 2.Table-2
[0125] In the above-mentioned Example-2 as shown in Table -2, there are 5 players playing the game.
[0126] In bet 1, a player “A” bets 2 tokens, a player “B” has raised the bet 2 times the bet of the player “A” bet, i.e., the player “B” bets 4 tokens, a player “C” has raised the bet 1.5 times the bet of the player “C”, i.e., the player “C” bet 6 tokens.
[0127] Further, a player “D” matches the previous bet, and bet 6 tokens, and a player “E” raises the bet by 1.5 times, and bet 9 tokens.
[0128] In betting round 2, player “A” put in all the tokens he has left, and bet 7 tokens which is more than 1.5 times than the Player “B” last bet.
[0129] In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the player “A” has raised the bet over players “C” and “D” last bet but unable to raise the bet 1.5 times.
[0130] In an embodiment of the present invention, the identification module identifies the all-in player “A”, and creates the side-pot for the player “A”.
[0131] In the embodiment of the present invention, the player “A” contributes whole amount i.e., 9 tokens in his side-pot.
[0132] And, the player “B” contributes (4+7) = 11 tokens, and the player “C” contributes (7 / 1.5+7) = 11.67 tokens in the side -pot associated with the said player “A”.
[0133] Similarly, the player “D” also contributes (7 / 1.5+7) = 11.67 tokens in the side -pot associated with the said player “A”.
[0134] Further, the player “E” has bet 9 tokens, therefore, the player “E” gets benefit and eligible to contribute 7 tokens in the player “A” side -pot.
[0135] Therefore, the side-pot for the player “A” has been added with 50.33 tokens. More specially, if player “A” wins the game, he is assigned with the side -pot and will get 50.33 tokens.
[0136] Further, in the betting round 2, all the player “B” bets 9 tokens, and, the player “C” goes all-in and bets 8 tokens.
[0137] In an embodiment of the present invention, the identification module identifies the all-in player “C”, and creates the side -pot for the player “C”.
[0138] In the embodiment of the present invention, the player “A” contributes the whole amount i.e., 9 tokens in the side-pot associated with the player “C”.
[0139] And, the player “B” contributes (4+8) = 12 tokens, and the player “C” contributes 14 tokens in the side-pot associated with the player “C”.
[0140] Further, the player “D” also contributes (8+6) = 14 tokens, and the player “E” has bet 9 tokens, therefore, the player “E” gets benefit and eligible to contribute only 8 tokens in the player “C” side-pot.
[0141] Therefore, the side-pot associated with the player “C” has been added with 57 tokens. More specially, if the player “C” wins the game he will get 57 tokens.
[0142] In betting round 3, the player “B” bets 15 tokens, and the player “D” matches the bet with 15 tokens to end the game.
[0143] For other players “B”, “D” and “E”, a main pot is created of 105 tokens.
[0144] In the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the player “E” has raised his bets over player “D”, and player “E” has bet total 24 tokens in the game. More specifically, the player “E” gets benefit of raise, and will get 105 tokens (if the player “E” wins).
[0145] Therefore, as seen in the above-mentioned examples, the players who raised their bets during the game might get benefitted at the end of the game.
[0146] Again, referring to Fig. 1A, at step (24), the method (100) involves determining an outcome of the game based on a comparison of the cards of the plurality of players via an outcome determination module (80).
[0147] Thereafter, at step (26), the method (100) involves rewarding one or more players of the plurality of players based on the determined outcome (refer Fig. 1A).
[0148] In the embodiment of the present invention, a prize amount may be rewarded to at least one of the one or more all-in players or the one or more active players.
[0149] In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the amount is rewarded to the winner of the game.
[0150] In another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the amount is distributed among the plurality of players based on the ranking of the players in the game.
[0151] Therefore, the above-mentioned features allow fair distribution of prize amount among the plurality of players of the game.
[0152] Now, referring to Fig. 2, a system (1000) for processing the computer-implemented method (100) for allowing the plurality of players the online card games.
[0153] In an embodiment of the present invention, the system (1000) includes a computing device (90) for installing a game application (30) for registration of the plurality of players via a registration module (32) (refer Figs. 2 &3).
[0154] In one embodiment of the present invention, the system (1000) includes a database (200) for storing information related to the said plurality of players (refer Figs. 2 & 3).
[0155] In the embodiment of the present invention, the information may include the registration ID of the players, information related to wallets associated with the plurality of players, information related to the games, or the like.
[0156] In one embodiment of the present invention, the computing device (90) includes a memory for storing the plurality of instructions.
[0157] In one embodiment of the present invention, the system (1000) includes the processing module (40) that is adapted to execute the instruction for receiving the ante amount from the plurality of players to participate in the game.
[0158] Further, the processing module (40) is adapted to execute the instruction for dealing a predetermined number of cards to the plurality of players.
[0159] In the embodiment of the present invention, the processing module (40) is adapted to execute the instruction for dealing a predetermined number of cards to the plurality of players.
[0160] Again, referring to Figs. 2 & 3, the system (1000) includes the betting module (50) that is adapted for allowing the plurality of players to bet in the game.
[0161] In the embodiment of the present invention, the system (1000) further includes the identification module (60) that is adapted for identifying the one or more all-in players during the game (refer Figs. 2 & 3).
[0162] The system (1000) further includes a pot creation module (70) that is adapted for creating the side-pot associated with said each all-in player of the identified one or more all- in players (refer Figs. 2 &3).
[0163] Further, the said pot creation module (70) further adapted to create a main pot associated with the one or more active players of the plurality of players.
[0164] In one embodiment of the present invention, the system (1000) includes the outcome determination module (80) for determining an outcome of the game based on a comparison of the cards of the plurality of players, thereby rewarding one or more players of the plurality of players based on the determined outcome (refer Figs. 2 & 3).Advantages of the Invention
[0165] In an embodiment of the present invention, the method and the system of the present invention allows to create a side-pot for each all-in player.
[0166] More specifically, if more than 1 player goes all-in in the game then the said method allows creation of more than 1 side-pot.
[0167] Further, the method and the system of the present invention allow the distribution of fair amount of reward to the players of the game based on the ranking of the players in the game.
