Description

[0001] ADAPTIVELIGHTING CONTROLMETHOD,ADAPTIVELIGHTING SYSTEM

[0002] DESCRIPTION

[0003] The present invention concerns an adaptive lighting control method, an adaptive lighting system and an adaptive lighting control accessory device. The invention is made with particular reference to street lighting; however, other applications are not excluded.

[0004] PRIOR ART

[0005] Predictive and adaptive systems such as the one covered by patent application W02021005479A1 or patent application US2016 / 0050397 are known in the field of street lighting.

[0006] These systems aim to achieve energy savings, either by allowing a reclassification of roads with lamp output limits defined by actual traffic, or by changing the output in real time according to traffic.

[0007] Traffic data for prediction are obtained by sound acquisition in the first application and by image acquisition in the second.

[0008] Both of these systems are designed to discern traffic, but for the same amount of traffic, they are not able to handle different needs, such as determining weather-related hazardous situations, for example due to visibility, wind or other issues. In addition, they are not able to discern hazardous situations reported directly by people on the spot.

[0009] The most direct solution would be integration with classic weather stations; however, this is not possible because lighting systems such as those shown include nodes, which control the lamp driver, built by third parties and connected to the lamp via dedicated ports with standardised connections. It is therefore not possible to modify existing control nodes, nor is their coexistence with additional weather stations possible.

[0010] In any case, even if this were attempted, somehow overcoming the aforementioned connection problems, one would have to face the additional problem of exploiting the available space, which is very small and not suitable for weather stations.

[0011] Moreover, even if all these obstacles were resolved, there would be a management problem, since from the weather data alone the known systems would not be able to determine the presence of a hazardous condition for traffic and modify the lighting accordingly.

[0012] Finally, given the extent of the road networks, and the need to replicate countless times the solution that will be adopted, it must be a low-cost solution.

[0013] Among the meteorological problems that are most desirable to solve, we mention in particular rain and preferably, in addition, fog, snow or hail, which affect night visibility.

[0014] Studies have been carried out according to which in case of poor night visibility due to rain or fog it is preferable to illuminate the road with warm lights, preferably <3000K.

[0015] This, however, clashes with the need for energy savings managed by the systems of the above-mentioned patent applications, as the cooler the light tends to be, the less power is required. The practice in street lighting, consequently, is to use cold light lamps, typically ≥3000K.

[0016] The general purpose of the present invention is to overcome some or all of the problems of the prior art in the street lighting sector.

[0017] One of the most general and latent problems in the sector is therefore the need to increase road safety.

[0018] A further general problem is that of determining hazardous situations and governing the street lighting accordingly.

[0019] A further general problem is to determine road visibility and associate it with a lighting control system.

[0020] A further general problem is the need to generate this association in such a way as to ensure road visibility under various conditions while maintaining a low level of energy consumption.

[0021] A further general problem is to provide said control system capable of detecting hazardous situations related to visibility and which can be used to govern the lighting even in the case of additional hazards signalled directly by the people on the spot. A preferred purpose of the present invention is to automatically identify visibility conditions and to adapt street lighting to the identified visibility conditions in real time.

[0022] A further purpose of the present invention is to adapt lighting conditions to visibility while minimising long-term energy consumption.

[0023] Another preferred purpose is to allow said visibility and said energy saving by adopting an adaptive lighting system that is easy and inexpensive to implement.

[0024] A further preferred purpose of the present invention is to provide an adaptive control accessory device configured to increase road safety that can be applied to an existing lamp to increase its functions in a non-invasive manner.

[0025] A further purpose of the present invention is to provide said accessory device configured in such a way that at least one third-party accessory device can be installed on the same lamp.

[0026] GENERAL INTRODUCTION

[0027] The purposes are solved by an adaptive lighting control method, and an adaptive lighting system, as indicated in the attached claims.

[0028] DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0034] - figure 6 schematically represents the lighting system according to the present invention, of which figure 1 is a part;

[0035] - figure 7 schematically represents the lamp of figure 1 associated with an alternative form of implementation of an accessory electronic device according to the present invention, in particular an accessory device connectable to the lamp but not to a third party node. Such a node is also present, but is connected to a different lamp port.

[0036] - figure 8 schematically represents the accessory electronic device of figure 7 connected to a lamp capable of coupling to a single accessory electronic device, having only one port useful for this purpose.

[0037] Figure 1 shows a lighting system according to the present invention shown as a whole with reference number 1.

[0038] The system 1 comprises at least one street lighting lamp 5, a central supervisory system 10 remote from the lamp, at least one accessory electronic device 15 for adaptive control of the lamp 5 according to the present invention, comprising at least one electromechanical connection interface 23 configured for connection to a corresponding interface 24 of the lamp 5, also referred to as a port. Below, for the sake of brevity, we will refer to said accessory electronic adaptive control device 15 as accessory electronic device 15.

[0039] Preferably, the lighting system 1 also comprises at least one third party accessory device 20, below referred to as node, which is also couplable to said lamp 5. For example, the electronic accessory device 15 is provided with a second electromechanical connection interface 30, which is configured to allow at least the mechanical connection to the node 20 and at least the electronic connection of the node 20 to the lamp.

[0040] Figure 1 by way of example shows at least two third party nodes 20 on the lamp 5 of which at least one is connected to the lamp 5 with the interposition of the accessory device 15.

[0041] The lamp 5 generally comprises a light source 7, for example of the LED type, and at least one driver 6 thereof.

[0042] - the light source (7) is of a type able to emit, alternately with each other, at least two types of light, which differ at least in colour temperature; For example, the light source comprises two types of LEDs alternately powered by the driver.

[0043] The driver 6 is of a type able to vary at least said type of light emitted from the light source according to control instructions received from at least the accessory electronic device 15 according to the present invention.

[0044] In particular, a first type of light is cooler than a second type of light.

[0045] By colour temperature we mean the well-known physical quantity associated with the hue of light and measured in kelvins.

[0046] For example, we can understand as first type of light a light with temperature T <3000K and as second type of light a light with T >3000K.

[0047] Preferably, the driver 6 is of a type that can also vary the intensity of the type of light emitted by the light source according to control instructions received from at least said accessory electronic device 15. In general, the accessory electronic device comprises at least one sound sensor 95, for example a microphone, and is configured to at least transmit said control instructions to the lamp 5, wherein the accessory electronic device 15 is configured to have at least one of the following additional functions:

[0048] - processing said control instructions from the at least weather data acquired by said sound sensor 95;

[0049] - sending to the central supervisory system 10 the weather data acquired by said sound sensor 95, receiving from it said control instructions and sending them to the lamp driver 6.

[0050] The lighting system 1 is configured to establish at least one weather-related hazardous condition at least by processing weather data acquired by at least said sound sensor 95. For example, the lighting system 1 is configured to recognise a condition of the presence of rain or hail, or preferably a condition of rain or hail intensity above a predetermined limit, wherein the system 1 is configured to consider this condition to be a weather- related hazardous condition. For example, at least one of the accessory device 15 and the central supervisory system 10 are configured to establish said weather-related hazardous condition.

[0051] In this respect, it is possible to equip the accessory electronic device 15 or the central supervisory system 10, or more generally the lighting system 10, with an artificial intelligence Al, or a part thereof, trained to recognise at least one visibility condition by means of weather data obtained by digital acquisition through at least said sound sensor 95. For example, the visibility condition recognised as a weather-related hazardous condition is a condition of rain or hail, or rain or hail with intensity above a predetermined limit. It is not excluded that artificial intelligence Al is trained to also recognise other conditions of poor visibility based on sound, such as fog or snow.

[0052] Artificial intelligence Al is preferably trained by images to establish visibility by sound and to associate a weather-related hazardous condition with it.

[0053] Using artificial intelligence, it is possible, for example, to establish the sound thresholds of rain or hail above which a weather-related hazardous condition, in particular a visibility hazard, is recognised. Al can also establish the sound thresholds of fog or snow at which a weather-related hazardous condition, in particular a visibility hazard, is recognised.

[0054] The system 1 is preferably also configured to establish at least one traffic-related hazardous condition at least by processing traffic data acquired by means of at least one of its sound sensors 95, for example a microphone of the accessory device 15. The sound sensor 95 may also be the same as that used for establishing the traffic-related danger condition.

[0055] For example, lighting system 1 is configured to recognise a condition of traffic, or preferably a condition of traffic intensity above a pre-determined limit, given for example by the number of vehicles and / or people perceived, where system 1 is configured to consider this condition as a traffic-related hazardous condition. For example, at least one of the electronic board 35 and the central supervisory system 10 are configured to determine this traffic-related hazardous condition.

[0056] In this respect, it is possible to equip the accessory electronic device 15 or the central supervisory system 10, or more generally the lighting system 1, with an artificial intelligence Al, or a part thereof, trained to recognise at least one traffic condition by means of traffic data obtained by sound acquisition through at least one sound sensor 95 of the lighting system 1, for example a microphone of the accessory device 15. For example, the traffic condition recognised as a traffic-related hazardous condition is a condition of traffic or traffic intensity above a predetermined limit.

[0057] In general, the system 1 is configured to generate said control instructions of the at least one lamp 5 based on at least one weather data recognised by sound readings. For example, it generates said instructions based on at least one weather-related hazardous condition recognised by the system 1 based on sound.

[0058] In general, system 1 includes sound thresholds with which a weather-related hazard is associated; these can be set up in the system or determined by an artificial intelligence in the system. More preferably, system 1 is configured to generate such control instructions on the basis of at least weather data cross-referenced with traffic data, e.g. on the basis of at least one weather-related hazardous condition recognised by sound cross-referenced with at least one traffic-related hazardous condition recognised by sound.

[0059] In general, system 1 includes sound thresholds with which a traffic-related hazard is associated; these can be set up in the system or determined by an artificial intelligence in the system.

[0060] Such control instructions preferably include at least one variation of the emitted colour temperature of the lamp 5 at least on the basis of weather data detected at least by sound readings, e.g. on the basis of at least one weather-related hazardous condition recognised by the system 1.

[0061] Preferably, and in addition, such instructions also include said temperature variation as a function of remotely received weather data, such as data extrapolated from an online weather forecast site, e.g. fog and snow forecast data from the website.

[0062] More preferably, said control instructions comprise a variation of both the luminous intensity and the colour temperature emitted by the lamp 5 on the basis of the combination of the traffic data and said weather data, for example on the basis of the co-presence of at least one weather-related hazardous condition and at least one traffic-related hazardous condition recognised by the system 1.

[0063] In this case the driver (6) is of the type also capable of varying the intensity of the types of light according to control instructions.

[0064] For example, lighting system 1 is configured to provide the lamp with control instructions at least according to the following table:

[0065] For example, system 1 can use at least the following rain-specific table:

[0066] By traffic we mean either only vehicular traffic or human presence, or the coexistence of vehicular traffic and human presence.

[0067] In addition to the preceding control instructions, preferably, it is also possible to cross-reference hazardous conditions based on weather data obtained from online weather forecast sites with traffic-related hazardous conditions obtained from sound to generate control instructions according to the following table: For example, system 1 can use at least the following specific table for a fog forecast obtained from a website:

[0068] The combination of weather and traffic hazardous conditions and the corresponding table control instructions can be stored, for example, in a piece of memory in the accessory electronic device or in the central supervisory system 10.

[0069] System 1 is configured to consider table conditions as follows:

[0070] No Rain= no hazardous condition related to weather (Please Note that it can mean no rain, or rain below a predetermined intensity limit)

[0071] Rain= hazardous condition related to weather (Please Note that it can mean rain, or rain over a predetermined intensity limit)

[0072] No fog= no hazardous condition related to weather (Please Note that it can mean no fog, or fog below a predetermined intensity limit)

[0073] Fog= hazardous condition related to weather (Please Note that it can mean fog, or fog over a predetermined intensity limit)

[0074] No traffic= no hazardous condition related to traffic (Please Note that it can mean no traffic, or traffic below a predetermined intensity limit)

[0075] Traffic= hazardous condition related to traffic (Please Note that it can mean traffic, or traffic over a predetermined intensity limit)

[0076] The table, for example, contains limit values of respective characteristic parameters indicative of traffic and weather conditions used to establish hazardous conditions and to distinguish one condition from the other, and the system compares the data collected in real time by means of acquisitions from at least one sensor sounds 95 with the limit values to establish which case you are in at the time of the reading. Weather values, for example, include values for the presence of rain or hail or fog or snow, traffic values, for example, include values for the number of vehicles and human presence.

[0077] The measured noise data can be processed to determine characteristic parameter values indicative of traffic and weather conditions comparable with the limit values in the table. A determination software for generating said processing can be stored in the accessory electronic device 15 or in a memory remote from the device 15, for example in the central supervisory system 10.

[0078] The comparison between the traffic and weather conditions resulting from this processing and the limit values in the table can also be carried out by comparison software stored in the accessory electronic device 15 or in a memory remote from the device 15, e.g. in the central supervisory system 10.

[0079] From said comparison said software generates said control instructions according to said table and sends them to the driver 6 of the lamp 5, thereby realising an adaptive control of the light source based at least on the sound-detected weather.

[0080] System 1 is preferably also configured to react to at least one hazardous condition related to other sound factors than visibility and traffic, e.g. wind or human shouting, which can be considered a sound trigger to change at least one lighting parameter, such as light intensity or temperature. Screams in particular are an example of a hazardous situation reported to system 1 directly by the present people. In the case of wind or shouting, artificial intelligence can be configured to determine when the perceived sound is indicative of the presence of a hazard. In general, the system recognises the presence of a hazard if the related sound is above a predetermined threshold.

[0081] With reference to figure 6, a lighting system normally comprises a plurality of lamps 5, for example arranged along a road 4, all in communication with the remote control system 10, wherein at least one is coupled to a respective accessory electronic device 15and where more preferably all are coupled to a respective accessory electronic device 15.

[0082] In this case, the remote supervision system 10 may send the same control instructions to a plurality of lamps 5, where the instructions preferably comply with at least one of the following characteristics:

[0083] - are generated by the central supervisory system 10 based on sound data received from at least one accessory electronic device 15; are generated by at least one accessory electronic device 15 and transmitted to the central supervisory system 10.

[0084] Turning now to forms of implementation, we indicate below some preferred forms of implementation as examples.

[0085] As mentioned above and visible in figure 1, according to a first preferred form of implementation, the accessory electronic device 15 comprises a pair of electromechanical connection interfaces 25 and 30, which allow it to be interposed between the lamp 5 and a third- party node 20, coupled to both.

[0086] The first and second interfaces 25 and 30 are best seen in figures 2, 3 and 4.

[0087] With reference to figure 2, the accessory electronic device 15 comprises at least one circuit board 35 and the two interfaces 25 and 30 are interconnected with each other and with at least said circuit board to allow the passage of power, data and signals.

[0088] This can be done, for example, by connecting circuit board 35 in parallel to interfaces 25 and 30.

[0089] According to certain preferred implementation forms of the invention, the connection between the interfaces 25, 30 and the board 35 comprises 4 connectors, for example in the form of a rigid connecting element called a pin, indicated by reference numbers 40, 41, 42, 43.

[0090] For example, the four connectors have the following functions respectively:

[0091] - connector 40: supply voltage

[0092] - connector 41: ground reference;

[0093] - connector 42: data bus preferably bidirectional

[0094] - connector 43: signal bus for example preferably logic and / or analogue input and / or output.

[0095] Each connector 40-43 is connected to both interfaces 25 and 30 as well as to at least one board, or to all boards if there are more than one, so that they are shared by interfaces and boards and generate said passage of power, data and signals between them.

[0096] The interfaces 25 and 30 each comprise at least one male (25a, 25b, 25c, 25d) or female (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d) electromechanical connection element for each of said connectors. One of the two interfaces 25 may for example have said elements, e.g. male, inside a recessed seat 26, and the other interface 30 may for example have said elements, e.g. female, on a protrusion 31. Said recessed seat 26 and said protrusion 31 are preferably complementary to each other, for example one is substantially circular in cross-section and the other is substantially cylindrical.

[0097] Preferably, interfaces 25 and 30 are one male and one female, more preferably their shape respects a Zhaga standard, e.g. Zhaga Book-18. Even more preferably, interfaces 25 and 30 are also compatible or certified for communication via Zhaga-D4i or DALI2 or DALI standards.

[0098] As will be noted, the accessory electronic device 15 preferably comprises a main body 50 comprising an internal compartment housing connectors 40 to 43 and the at least one electronic board 35.

[0099] The main body 50 is for example divided into at least two parts 51 and 52 which can be coupled and decoupled to allow access to the inner compartment.

[0100] The first and second interfaces 25, 30 are arranged outside the main body 50, preferably from opposite sides.

[0101] The main body may have any box shape, a substantially cylindrical shape is shown in the figure. Preferably, the main body 50 has at least one connection opening with the outside 55 open to the passage of air and thus of sound. Thus, the at least one electronic board 35 within the box body may comprise at least one sound sensor 95, such as a microphone, for example.

[0102] Preferably the accessory electronic device 15 is: a - a lamp control device 5, capable of interacting with at least one lamp driver 6 of the lamp 5; and b - a weather reading sensor device, comprising at least one sound sensor 95, in particular one or more microphones; and c - a traffic condition reading sensor device, comprising at least one sound sensor 95, in particular one or more microphones; and d - a control and / or sensor device whose interfaces 25 and 30 are compatible or certified for communication via Zhaga-D4i or DALI2 or DALI standards e - a lamp control device 5 capable of interacting with a third party node 20 on lamp 5 via interface 25; f - a lamp control device 5, able to interact with a third party node 20 on lamp 5 through interface 30;

[0103] As we will see below with reference to the form of implementation of figure 7 and figure 8, the accessory electronic device 15 could comprise only the electromechanical connection 25 for connection to the lamp 5, in which case it would lack conditions e) and f).

[0104] In addition, the accessory electronic device may be at least one of the following: g - a wireless communication device configured to receive control instructions from the remote control system 10, h - a stand-alone control device configured to generate the control instructions.

[0105] The accessory device 15 includes one or more microphones and is part of a lighting system that detects traffic and weather status based on sound readings and controls lighting conditions based on sound readings, e.g. the lighting system is a predictive and adaptive system as described in the previous patent application PCT / IB2020 / 056305 incorporated herein by reference.

[0106] In general, the at least one circuit board 35 is configured to perform at least one of the following functions: a. transducing, acquiring and digitising data from sensors integrated within the at least one electronic board 35, for example at least one sound sensor 95; b. communicating wirelessly with the central supervisory system 10 if present, via a wireless device integrated within the at least one electronic board 35 and / or autonomously generating lamp control and management actions; c. communicate with at least one of:

[0107] - the lamp 5 connected to one of the interfaces 25, 30 an additional accessory electronic device connected to one of the interfaces 25, 30. The communication with the lamp may for example be towards a driver 6 of the lamp 5.

[0108] According to a particularly advantageous aspect of the invention, the connection of the at least one electronic board 35 with connectors 40, 41, 42, 43 is configured in such a way that when the accessory electronic device 15 is interposed between the lamp and a further accessory electronic device, for example a node 20, it can have the following mode of action:

[0109] Z. Master mode, in which it is active in handling traffic on the respective data and signal buses, generating commands and read requests destined for the lamp (5) and / or the node 20, including said control instructions.

[0110] And at least one of the following modes of action:

[0111] X. Transparent mode, where traffic on the respective data and signal bus passes between the lamp (5) and the node (20) without interference;

[0112] Y. Slave mode, in which it allows traffic on the respective data and signal bus between the lamp (5) and the node (20) and can be interrogated by the node (20).

[0113] The accessory electronic device 15 therefore preferably may be configured to acquire data, for example on traffic and weather, from at least one of its own sound sensors 95, for example a microphone, or from the interaction with respective data and signal buses between the lamp (at least one driver thereof 6) and the node 20.

[0114] The device is generally configured to exchange such data with the central supervisory system 10 and, as mentioned above, for this purpose may comprise at least one wireless communication device, and / or allow the node 20 to acquire data therefrom.

[0115] Figure 5 illustrates another form of implementation of the accessory electronic device 15 which differs from the one described above only in that it comprises a plurality of electronic boards 35.

[0116] In this way, it is easier to multiply the functions that can be added to the lamp 5, or to add or replace them.

[0117] Preferably each board 35 has at least one of the functions a, b and c said above, and preferably each has at least one of the action modes X, Y and Z said above.

[0118] In use, a first accessory electronic device 15 is connected to the lamp 5 via one of its interfaces 25, 30, so as to add to the lamp 5 the functions for which the electronic board 35 is configured, and for which the electronic boards 35 are configured if they are a plurality.

[0119] A further accessory electronic device is connected to the former via the other of the latter's interfaces 25, 30. The further accessory electronic device may be, for example:

[0120] - the same as the first accessory electronic device 15

[0121] - different from the first accessory electronic device 15, being for example a third party node 20. The lamp 5, the first accessory electronic device 15 and the additional accessory electronic device 20 preferably have the same electromechanical connection standard, e.g. the Zhaga Book-18 standard.

[0122] In general, the further accessory electronic device 20 can be powered by and / or communicate with the lamp 5 via the connectors 40-43 of the first accessory electronic device.

[0123] In general, the connection interface 25-30 of the first accessory electronic device 15 with the lamp 5 is such that both accessory electronic devices 15-20 are provided with a power supply from the lamp 5.

[0124] The functions of the accessory electronic devices can interact with each other or with the lamp or be independent and even simultaneous, thanks to the the lamp, the boards 35 and the additional accessory electronic device all connected to connectors 40-43 of the first accessory electronic device.

[0125] So far, an accessory electronic device 15 comprising two electromechanical interconnection interfaces 25 and 30 has been described so that it can be interposed between the lamp and a third party node 20, however, alternative forms of implementation of accessory electronic devices 115 having only one electromechanical connection interface 25 for connection to the lamp are not excluded, so that each of them is the only device connected to a predetermined socket of a respective lamp. This form of implementation is schematically represented in figure 7 and figure 8. In particular, in figure 7 the lamp comprises two connection ports 24, one coupled to the accessory electronic device 115 and one to a third party node 20, while in figure 8 the lamp 5 has only one port 24 and is coupled to only the accessory electronic device 115.

[0126] Thanks to the invention, it is therefore possible, for example, to implement an adaptive method of lighting control, characterised by the fact of: setting up a lighting system 1 of the type described above;

[0127] - acquiring data on weather and preferably also traffic, more generally on the sound space, through the at least one first accessory electronic device (15) and preferably communicating through it to a remote central supervisory system (10) via wireless, if present; processing lamp control instructions (5) by processing data made through a first accessory electronic device (15) and / or through the central supervisory system (10) if present and transmitting them to the lamp 5 through said first accessory electronic device (15), wherein said control instructions vary at least the type of light emitted by the lamp, e.g. vary the temperature of the light.

[0128] More preferably, these control instructions also vary the light intensity of the lamp 5.

[0129] For example, the control instructions are generated at least according to the following cases:

[0130] 1) If the lighting system 1, by means of the sound sensor 95, does not detect the presence of weather-related hazardous conditions or even of traffic-related hazardous conditions, it generates control instructions that require the lamp to emit light at a first temperature and low intensity, i.e. below a predetermined intensity threshold.

[0131] 2) If the sound sensor 95 senses the presence of weather-related hazardous conditions, the lighting system 1 generates control instructions that command the lamp 5 to emit light at a lower temperature (also referred to as warmer) than the first temperature.

[0132] 3) If the lighting system 1, by means of the sound sensor 95, perceives the presence of a traffic-related hazardous condition, it generates control instructions requiring the lamp to emit a light at a high intensity, i.e. above a predetermined threshold.

[0133] 4) If both conditions 2 and 3 occur simultaneously, the control instructions instruct the lamp to emit light at a temperature lower (also called warmer) than the first temperature and at high intensity

[0134] A weather-related hazardous condition can be, for example, the reading of the presence of rain or hail, or rain or hail intensity above a predetermined level.

[0135] A traffic-related hazardous condition may be, for example, the reading of the presence of traffic, be it vehicular or human presence, or a traffic intensity above a predetermined level.

[0136] In addition to the weather-related hazardous condition established by sound reading, it is also possible to implement the above-mentioned cases 1, 2, 3, 4 with weather-related hazardous conditions derived from a data acquisition from a weather forecast site on the internet, where the data acquired is, for example, fog or snow data.

[0137] An experienced technician in the field will realise that the system, for safety purposes, works even if it only has adaptive functions, e.g. in real time; however, the presence of all the functions of a predictive and adaptive system, such as those known as mentioned above, is not excluded.

[0138] An experienced technician in this field will also realise that the presence of an accessory electronic device is not strictly necessary, in fact in the case of new lamp construction, the functionality of the accessory electronic device can be included natively in the lamp, in particular the presence of a sound sensor. In fact, the presence of the latter and the determination of weather conditions by means of its sound readings solve the basic problem of detecting weather data in a non-invasive and inexpensive way for a lamp, especially when compared to the application of a weather station or a camera.
