Description

Resin composition, pellets, and molded products

[0001] The present invention relates to a resin composition, a pellet, and a molded article.

[0002] Resin compositions containing a polyalkylene terephthalate resin, such as a polybutylene terephthalate resin, and a polycarbonate resin have been studied (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Such resin compositions are widely used in electrical and electronic equipment components, automotive interior and exterior components, other electrical components, machine components, and the like.

[0008] The present invention makes it possible to provide a resin composition containing a polyalkylene terephthalate resin, a recycled polycarbonate resin, and a flame retardant, which is capable of achieving physical properties comparable to those achieved when virgin polycarbonate resin is used or better than those achieved when virgin polycarbonate resin is used alone, as well as pellets and molded articles.

[0009] Hereinafter, a mode for carrying out the present invention (hereinafter simply referred to as "the present embodiment") will be described in detail. Note that the following present embodiment is an example for explaining the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to only this embodiment. Note that in this specification, the word "to" is used to mean that the numerical values written before and after it are included as lower and upper limits. In this specification, various physical property values and characteristic values are those at 23°C unless otherwise specified. When the measurement methods etc. described in the standards shown in this specification vary depending on the fiscal year, they are based on the standards as of January 1, 2023, unless otherwise specified.

[0010] The resin composition of this embodiment contains 5 to 50 parts by mass of a flame retardant per 100 parts by mass of the total of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin and the polycarbonate resin, and the mass ratio of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin to the polycarbonate resin in the total 100 parts by mass of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin and the polycarbonate resin is 10 / 90 to 90 / 10, and the polycarbonate resin contains a recycled polycarbonate resin, and the branching amount of the recycled polycarbonate resin is 50 to 3500 ppm by mass. By adopting such a configuration, a resin composition containing a polyalkylene terephthalate resin, a recycled polycarbonate resin (sometimes referred to in this specification as "recycled polycarbonate resin") and a flame retardant can be obtained, and the resin composition can achieve physical properties comparable to those of virgin polycarbonate resin, or better than those of virgin polycarbonate resin alone. For example, when a flame retardant is blended into a resin composition, impact resistance usually tends to be poor. However, in this embodiment, by using a specific recycled polycarbonate resin, high impact resistance tends to be achieved. Furthermore, the resin composition of this embodiment tends to maintain high flame retardancy, with flame retardancy equivalent to or better than that of virgin polycarbonate resin, and recycled products can be used, thereby reducing the environmental impact. Furthermore, the use of recycled polycarbonate resin tends to result in poor nominal strain at break. In this embodiment, by using a specific recycled polycarbonate resin, the nominal strain at break tends to be improved. Furthermore, the resin composition of this embodiment tends to be able to increase the crystallization temperature (Tc).

[0011] In addition, it is generally known that polycarbonate resins with a higher branching content have better flame retardancy. This is thought to be because the higher branching structure allows polycarbonate molecules to entangle with each other, making it less likely for molded articles to change shape during combustion and effectively suppressing dripping and other issues. It is also thought that the burnt surface of a molded article is less likely to crumble, thereby shortening the burning time. However, the present inventors have conducted research and found that when used in combination with a polyalkylene terephthalate resin, polycarbonate resins with a lower branching content have better flame retardancy. The reason for this is believed to be that higher branching facilitates transesterification between the terminal hydroxyl groups of the polycarbonate and the polyalkylene terephthalate resin, resulting in an increase in low-molecular-weight components and a decrease in thermal stability. In particular, recycled polycarbonate resins often contain polycarbonate resins with branched structures because they are made from a mixture of multiple raw materials, but the inventors have conducted research and found that by adjusting the branching content of recycled polycarbonate resins to 50 to 3,500 ppm by mass, it is possible to achieve flame retardancy comparable to that of virgin polycarbonate resins or better than that of virgin polycarbonate resins alone. As a result, recycled products can be used, thereby reducing the environmental impact.

[0012] <Polyalkylene terephthalate resin> The resin composition of the present embodiment contains a polyalkylene terephthalate resin. The polyalkylene terephthalate resin is a polyester obtained by polycondensation of terephthalic acid as a dicarboxylic acid compound and a diol, and may be either a homopolyester or a copolyester.

[0013] As the dicarboxylic acid compound constituting the polyalkylene terephthalate resin, a terphthalic acid compound or an ester-forming derivative thereof is preferably used. Aromatic dicarboxylic acids other than terephthalic acid can also be used in combination. Examples include isophthalic acid, orthophthalic acid, 1,5-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, 2,5-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, biphenyl-2,2'-dicarboxylic acid, biphenyl-3,3'-dicarboxylic acid, biphenyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid, diphenylether-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid, diphenylmethane-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid, diphenylsulfone-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid, diphenylisopropylidene-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid, 1,2-bis(phenoxy)ethane-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid, anthracene-2,5-dicarboxylic acid, anthracene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, p-tert-phenylene-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid, and pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylic acid. These can be used in the polycondensation reaction as ester-forming derivatives such as dimethyl esters in addition to free acids. Of the above, isophthalic acid or its ester-forming derivatives are particularly preferred.

[0014] In addition, a small amount of terephthalic acid or the above-mentioned aromatic dicarboxylic acid may be used in combination with one or more aliphatic dicarboxylic acids such as adipic acid, azelaic acid, dodecanedioic acid, and sebacic acid, or alicyclic dicarboxylic acids such as 1,2-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid, 1,3-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid, and 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid.

[0015] Examples of dihydroxy compounds constituting the polyalkylene terephthalate resin include aliphatic diols such as ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, butanediol, hexylene glycol, neopentyl glycol, 2-methylpropane-1,3-diol, diethylene glycol, and triethylene glycol, alicyclic diols such as cyclohexane-1,4-dimethanol, and mixtures thereof. Of these, butanediol and ethylene glycol are particularly preferred.

[0016] It is also possible to copolymerize one or more long-chain diols having a molecular weight of 400 to 6,000, such as polyethylene glycol, poly-1,3-propylene glycol, polytetramethylene glycol, etc. Also usable are aromatic diols such as hydroquinone, resorcinol, naphthalenediol, dihydroxydiphenyl ether, and 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane.

[0017] In addition to the above-mentioned bifunctional monomers, a small amount of a trifunctional monomer such as trimellitic acid, trimesic acid, pyromellitic acid, pentaerythritol, or trimethylolpropane can be used in combination to introduce a branched structure, or a monofunctional compound such as a fatty acid can be used in combination to adjust the molecular weight.

[0018] The polyalkylene terephthalate resin is preferably one formed by polycondensation of terephthalic acid and a diol, i.e., one in which the polycondensate accounts for more than 50% by mass of the entire resin, preferably 70% by mass or more, more preferably 80% by mass or more, even more preferably 90% by mass or more, still more preferably 95% by mass or more, and even more preferably 99% by mass or more. The diol is preferably an aliphatic diol, preferably 1,4-butanediol and / or ethylene glycol, and more preferably 1,4-butanediol.

[0019] The amount of terminal carboxyl groups in the polyalkylene terephthalate resin (preferably polybutylene terephthalate resin) may be appropriately selected and determined, but is usually 60 eq / ton or less, preferably 50 eq / ton or less, and more preferably 30 eq / ton or less. By setting it to 60 eq / ton or less, gas generation during melt molding of the resin composition tends to be more effectively suppressed. The lower limit of the amount of terminal carboxyl groups is not particularly specified, but is usually 3 eq / ton or more, preferably 5 eq / ton or more, and more preferably 10 eq / ton or more.

[0020] The amount of terminal carboxyl groups in the polyalkylene terephthalate resin is determined by dissolving 0.5 g of the resin in 25 mL of benzyl alcohol and titrating the solution with a 0.01 mol / L benzyl alcohol solution of sodium hydroxide. The amount of terminal carboxyl groups can be adjusted by any conventional method, such as adjusting the polymerization conditions, such as the raw material charge ratio, polymerization temperature, and pressure reduction during polymerization, or by reacting a terminal blocking agent.

[0021] The intrinsic viscosity of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin (preferably polybutylene terephthalate resin) is preferably 0.40 dL / g or more, more preferably 0.50 dL / g or more, even more preferably 0.55 dL / g or more, even more preferably 0.60 dL / g or more, still more preferably 0.65 dL / g or more, and even more preferably 0.80 dL / g or more, 1.00 dL / g or more, 1.20 dL / g or more, or 1.23 dL / g or more. By setting the intrinsic viscosity at or above the lower limit, deterioration of physical properties such as strength tends to be effectively suppressed, and further, impact resistance tends to be improved, and nominal strain at break tends to be improved. The intrinsic viscosity of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin (preferably polybutylene terephthalate resin) is preferably 1.50 dL / g or less, more preferably 1.40 dL / g or less, even more preferably 1.35 dL / g or less, even more preferably 1.30 dL / g or less, and even more preferably 1.2 dL / g or less, 0.86 dL / g or less, 0.80 dL / g or less, or 0.78 L / g or less. By setting the intrinsic viscosity at or below the upper limit, a decrease in the fluidity of the resin during injection molding tends to be suppressed, and the peak pressure during injection molding tends to be suppressed.

[0022] Intrinsic viscosity is measured by the following method. Polyalkylene terephthalate resin pellets are dissolved in a mixed solvent of phenol / 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane (1 / 1 by mass ratio) by stirring at 110°C for 1 hour to a concentration of 1.00 g / dL. The solution is then cooled to 30°C. Using a fully automatic solution viscometer, the number of seconds it takes for the sample solution and the solvent alone to fall at 30°C are measured, and the intrinsic viscosity is calculated using the formula: Intrinsic viscosity = ((1 + 4K H η sp ) 0.5 -1) / (2K H C) where η sp = η / η 0 -1, η is the number of seconds the sample solution falls, η 0 is the number of seconds for the solvent to fall, C is the concentration of the sample solution (g / dL), K H is Huggins' constant. H The intrinsic viscosity of the mixture is used. The fully automatic solution viscometer used is a product of Shibayama Scientific Co., Ltd. When the resin composition of the present embodiment contains two or more polyalkylene terephthalate resins, the intrinsic viscosity is the intrinsic viscosity of the mixture.

[0023] Preferred polyalkylene terephthalate resins are those in which 95 mol % or more of the acid component is terephthalic acid and 95 mol % or more of the alcohol component is an aliphatic diol, representative examples of which are polybutylene terephthalate resin and polyethylene terephthalate resin. These are similar to homopolyesters, i.e., preferably, 95 mol % or more of the entire resin is composed of terephthalic acid and 1,4-butanediol or ethylene glycol. The polyalkylene terephthalate resin is preferably polybutylene terephthalate resin and / or polyethylene terephthalate resin. In this case, it is also preferable to contain polyethylene terephthalate resin in an amount of less than 50% by mass.

[0024] Polybutylene terephthalate resin can be produced by batch or continuous melt polymerization of a dicarboxylic acid component containing terephthalic acid as the main component or an ester derivative thereof with a diol component containing 1,4-butanediol as the main component. Furthermore, after producing a low-molecular-weight polybutylene terephthalate resin by melt polymerization, the degree of polymerization (or molecular weight) can be increased to a desired value by further solid-state polymerization under a nitrogen gas flow or reduced pressure.

When two or more types are contained, it is preferable that the total amount is within the above range. Furthermore, the polyalkylene terephthalate resin in the resin composition of this embodiment preferably contains 40% by mass or more of polybutylene terephthalate resin, more preferably 50% by mass or more, 55% by mass or more, 60% by mass or more, 70% by mass or more, 80% by mass or more, or 90% by mass or more, and particularly preferably 100% by mass.

The method for producing the polycarbonate resin is not particularly limited, and polycarbonate resins produced by the conventionally known phosgene method (interfacial polymerization method) or melt method (ester exchange method) can be used. By using a polycarbonate resin obtained by the melt method, the polycarbonate resin tends to have a branched structure more easily. Furthermore, even in the interfacial polymerization method, a polycarbonate resin having a branched structure can be obtained by using a branching agent during polymerization of the polycarbonate resin.

[0031] The dihydroxy compound used as the raw material is preferably an aromatic dihydroxy compound, more preferably bisphenol, and even more preferably bisphenol A. It is also possible to use a compound in which one or more tetraalkylphosphonium sulfonates are bonded to the above-mentioned aromatic dihydroxy compound.

[0032] In this embodiment, the polycarbonate resin preferably contains 90% by mass or more of the dihydroxy compound raw material monomer derived from bisphenol A, and more preferably 95% by mass or more of the dihydroxy compound derived from bisphenol A. For example, they are produced by a transition reaction (Fries transition) occurring in the polymerization reaction system when polycarbonate is polymerized by a transesterification reaction of bisphenol A and diphenyl carbonate (melt method). The structural units represented by formulas (C1) to (C4) described below are also produced by the Fries transition of the polycarbonate resin derived from bisphenol A due to photodegradation caused by ultraviolet rays or the like. Two or more polycarbonate resins may be used in combination.

[0033] To adjust the molecular weight of the polycarbonate resin, a monovalent aromatic hydroxy compound may be used, such as m- and p-methylphenol, m- and p-propylphenol, p-tert-butylphenol, and p-long-chain alkyl-substituted phenol.

[0034] The polycarbonate resin used in this embodiment includes a recycled polycarbonate resin (recycled polycarbonate resin). Recycled polycarbonate resins often contain bisphenol A due to the thermal history of previous processes. However, by adjusting the bisphenol A content to 10 to 80 mass ppm of recycled polycarbonate resin, flame retardancy comparable to that of virgin polycarbonate resin or better than that of virgin polycarbonate resin alone can be obtained. Examples of recycled polycarbonate resins include those obtained by material recycling, in which recovered used polycarbonate resin molded bodies are crushed, washed, and reused, and those obtained by chemical recycling (chemical decomposition method). Those obtained by material recycling are preferred. Chemical recycling involves chemically decomposing recovered used polycarbonate resin molded bodies, returning them to their raw material level, and resynthesizing the polycarbonate resin. On the other hand, in material recycling, for example, foreign matter is removed from recovered used polycarbonate resin molded bodies, crushed, washed with an alkali, dried, and crushed into flakes or pelletized in an extruder. Note that polycarbonate resin that is not recycled polycarbonate resin is called virgin polycarbonate resin.

[0035] Examples of recycled polycarbonate resins include polycarbonate resins derived from bottles, polycarbonate resins derived from discs, polycarbonate resins derived from sheets (including polycarbonate resins derived from films), polycarbonate resins derived from meter covers (for example, electricity meter covers), and polycarbonate resins derived from headlamp lenses. At least one of polycarbonate resins derived from bottles, polycarbonate resins derived from meter covers, and polycarbonate resins derived from headlamp lenses is preferred, and polycarbonate resins derived from bottles and / or sheets are more preferred.

[0036] Examples of recycled polycarbonate resins include post-consumer recycled (PCR) products, which are made by collecting and recycling used products on the market, and post-industrial recycled (PIR) products, which are made by recycling materials generated in the manufacturing process of products before they are released on the market. Either type is acceptable, but from the viewpoint of reducing the environmental load, post-consumer recycled products are preferred.

[0037] The recycled polycarbonate resin used in this embodiment preferably contains 10 to 80 ppm by mass of bisphenol A. The content of bisphenol A in the recycled polycarbonate resin is preferably 15 ppm by mass or more, more preferably 20 ppm by mass or more, and even more preferably 25 ppm by mass or more. It is also preferably 70 ppm by mass or less, more preferably 60 ppm by mass or less, even more preferably 55 ppm by mass or less, even more preferably 50 ppm by mass or less, even more preferably 49 ppm by mass or less, even more preferably 45 ppm by mass or less, and even more preferably 40 ppm by mass or less, and even more preferably 35 ppm by mass or less, 30 ppm by mass or less. By setting the content at or above the lower limit, the flowability tends to be improved, and the availability of recycled polycarbonate resin tends to be improved. By setting the content at or below the upper limit, the flame retardancy tends to be further improved, and the amount of gas generated tends to be reduced. In addition, from the viewpoint of a balance between the availability, ease of production, and quality stability of the recycled polycarbonate resin, it is preferable to set the content within the above upper and lower limits. The content of bisphenol A in the recycled polycarbonate resin is measured according to the description in the Examples described later.

[0038] The branching amount of the recycled polycarbonate resin used in this embodiment is 50 to 3,500 ppm by mass. The branching amount of the recycled polycarbonate resin is preferably 100 ppm by mass or more, more preferably 200 ppm by mass or more, even more preferably 500 ppm by mass or more, even more preferably 1,000 ppm by mass or more, even more preferably 1,500 ppm by mass or more, even more preferably 2,000 ppm by mass or more, and preferably 3,000 ppm by mass or less, more preferably 2,500 ppm by mass or less. Setting the branching amount to above the lower limit tends to further improve the drip prevention effect during combustion. Setting the branching amount to below the upper limit tends to suppress resin decomposition due to transesterification between the polyalkylene terephthalate resin and the polycarbonate resin, tend to increase the crystallization temperature, tend to shorten the combustion time, and tend to reduce the amount of gas generated. The branching amount of the recycled polycarbonate resin is measured as described in the Examples below.

[0039] The recycled polycarbonate resin used in this embodiment may contain one or more structural units represented by any one of formulas (C1) to (C4).

[0040] The branching amount of the recycled polycarbonate resin used in this embodiment is 50 to 3,500 ppm by mass.

By setting the PSA content at or above the lower limit, the drip prevention effect during a combustion test tends to be improved. By setting the PSA content at or below the upper limit, decomposition of the resin due to transesterification between the polyalkylene terephthalate resin and the polycarbonate resin tends to be suppressed, resulting in excellent thermal stability, a shorter combustion time, and a reduced amount of gas generated.

By setting the PSA-Me content at or above the lower limit, the drip prevention effect during combustion tests tends to be further improved. Furthermore, by setting the PSA-Me content at or below the upper limit, decomposition of the resin due to transesterification between the polyalkylene terephthalate resin and the polycarbonate resin tends to be suppressed, leading to excellent thermal stability, a tendency for combustion time to be shortened, and a tendency for the amount of gas generated to be reduced.

[0043] The recycled polycarbonate resin used in this embodiment may have a PBA content of 0 parts by mass or more, preferably 0.01 ppm by mass or more, more preferably 10 ppm by mass or more, even more preferably 30 ppm by mass or more, still more preferably 100 ppm by mass or more, even more preferably 400 ppm by mass or more, and preferably 2000 ppm by mass or less, more preferably 1500 ppm by mass or less, even more preferably 1000 ppm by mass or less, still more preferably 900 ppm by mass or less, and even more preferably 800 ppm by mass or less, when the PBA content is equal to or more than the lower limit, the effect of preventing dripping during a combustion test tends to be further improved. Furthermore, by setting the content to be equal to or less than the upper limit, decomposition of the resin due to transesterification between the polyalkylene terephthalate resin and the polycarbonate resin tends to be suppressed, the thermal stability tends to be excellent, the combustion time tends to be shortened, and the amount of gas generated tends to be reduced.

[0044] The recycled polycarbonate resin used in this embodiment, when hydrolyzed, preferably has a dicarboxylic acid content (two types of dicarboxylic acids DA1 and DA2 described below) of 1 ppm by mass or more, more preferably 10 ppm by mass or more, even more preferably 100 ppm by mass or more, even more preferably 200 ppm by mass or more, even more preferably 300 ppm by mass or more, relative to 100 parts by mass of recycled polycarbonate, and preferably 1500 ppm by mass or less, more preferably 1000 ppm by mass or less, even more preferably 900 ppm by mass or less, even more preferably 800 ppm by mass or less, and even more preferably 700 ppm by mass or less. By making the content above the lower limit, the effect of preventing dripping during a combustion test tends to be further improved.

When two or more flame retardants are contained, it is preferable that the total amount is in the above range.

[0085] <Elastomer> The resin composition of this embodiment preferably contains an elastomer. By containing an elastomer, the impact resistance of the resulting molded article tends to be further improved. The type of elastomer is not particularly limited, and known elastomers can be used.

[0086] An example of an elastomer is an elastomer containing an epoxy group, which tends to have a higher affinity with polybutylene terephthalate resin, and thus tends to produce molded products with high impact resistance.

[0087] A first embodiment of the epoxy group-containing elastomer is a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing an α-olefin, a glycidyl ester of an α,β-unsaturated acid, and, if necessary, an unsaturated monomer copolymerizable therewith. Of all the copolymerization components in the copolymer, it is preferable to use 60 mass % or more of the α-olefin and the glycidyl ester of an α,β-unsaturated acid.

The core is preferably a rubbery polymer, such as an acrylonitrile-acrylic rubbery polymer-styrene graft copolymer (ASA resin), a methyl methacrylate-acrylic rubbery polymer-styrene graft copolymer (MSA resin), a methyl methacrylate-acrylonitrile-acrylic rubbery polymer-styrene graft copolymer (MASA resin), or a polyorganosiloxane-containing rubbery polymer. A polyorganosiloxane-containing rubbery polymer is preferred. The polyorganosiloxane-containing rubbery polymer typically has a glass transition temperature of 0°C or below, preferably −20°C or below, and more preferably −30°C or below. Specific examples of the rubber component are not particularly limited as long as it contains polyorganosiloxane rubber, and include polyorganosiloxane rubber, and composite rubber (IPN type) of polyorganosiloxane rubber and polyalkyl acrylate rubber.

[0091] Specific examples of the monomer component graft copolymerizable with the core include aromatic vinyl compounds, vinyl cyanide compounds, (meth)acrylic acid ester compounds, (meth)acrylic acid compounds, epoxy group-containing (meth)acrylic acid ester compounds such as glycidyl (meth)acrylate, maleimide compounds such as maleimide, N-methylmaleimide, and N-phenylmaleimide; α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid compounds such as maleic acid, phthalic acid, and itaconic acid, and anhydrides thereof (for example, maleic anhydride, etc.).

[0094] Specific examples of the elastomer containing an epoxy group according to the second embodiment include "Metablen (registered trademark, the same applies hereinafter) S-2002" and "Metablen S-2200" manufactured by Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd.

[0095] Another example of the elastomer is a graft copolymer obtained by graft copolymerizing a rubber component with a monomer component copolymerizable therewith. The graft copolymer may be produced by any of bulk polymerization, solution polymerization, suspension polymerization, emulsion polymerization, etc., and the copolymerization method may be either single-stage grafting or multi-stage grafting.

[0096] The rubber component usually has a glass transition temperature of 0°C or lower, preferably -20°C or lower, and more preferably -30°C or lower. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more. Among these, polybutadiene rubber, polyalkyl acrylate rubber, polyorganosiloxane rubber, IPN type composite rubber consisting of polyorganosiloxane rubber and polyalkyl acrylate rubber, and styrene-butadiene rubber are preferred in terms of mechanical properties and surface appearance.

[0097] Specific examples of the monomer component capable of graft copolymerization with the rubber component include the epoxy group-containing elastomer, and are the same as the specific examples of the monomer component capable of graft copolymerization with the rubber component described above.

[0098] The graft copolymer copolymerized with a rubber component is preferably a core / shell graft copolymer in terms of impact resistance and surface appearance. Among these, a core / shell graft copolymer is particularly preferred, which comprises a core layer made of at least one rubber component selected from polybutadiene-containing rubber, polybutyl acrylate-containing rubber, polyorganosiloxane rubber, and an IPN-type composite rubber composed of polyorganosiloxane rubber and polyalkyl acrylate rubber, and a shell layer formed by copolymerizing a (meth)acrylic acid ester around the core layer. The core / shell graft copolymer preferably contains 40% by mass or more of the rubber component, more preferably 60% by mass or more. Furthermore, it is preferable that the (meth)acrylic acid content be 10% by mass or more. Note that the core / shell type in this embodiment does not necessarily have to be one in which the core layer and the shell layer are clearly distinguishable; it is intended to broadly include compounds obtained by graft polymerizing a rubber component around the core portion.

[0101] Another example of the elastomer is an acrylic block copolymer, which includes a hard segment made of a methyl methacrylate block and a soft segment made of an alkyl acrylate block.

[0102] The acrylic block copolymer is preferably a triblock copolymer having two hard segment blocks on either side of a soft segment block, or a diblock copolymer having one soft segment block and one hard segment block. That is, the acrylic block copolymer in this embodiment preferably has a triblock structure consisting of a methyl methacrylate block-alkyl acrylate block-methyl methacrylate block, or a diblock structure consisting of a methyl methacrylate block-alkyl acrylate block.

Furthermore, it is preferably 5 parts by mass or less, more preferably 4 parts by mass or less, even more preferably 3 parts by mass or less, and even more preferably 2 parts by mass or less. Depending on the application, etc., it may be 1 part by mass or less. By setting the content at or above the lower limit, the releasability of the resulting molded article tends to be further improved. Furthermore, by setting the content at or below the upper limit, bleed-out of the resulting molded article can be effectively suppressed. The resin composition may contain only one type of release agent, or two or more types. When two or more types are contained, the total amount is preferably within the above range.

[0156] <Nucleating Agent> The resin composition of this embodiment may contain a nucleating agent. The inclusion of a nucleating agent promotes crystallization of the resin composition. The type of nucleating agent is not particularly limited, and may be an inorganic nucleating agent or an organic nucleating agent, with organic nucleating agents being more preferred. Examples of inorganic nucleating agents include talc, boron nitride, mica, kaolin, barium sulfate, sodium phosphate, silicon nitride, and molybdenum disulfide. Among these, talc, barium sulfate, sodium phosphate, and boron nitride are preferred, and talc is more preferred because it tends to increase the rigidity of the resin composition and improve moldability.

[0157] As the organic nucleating agent, an organic alkali metal salt is preferred, an organic carboxylic acid alkali metal salt is more preferred, and an alkali metal salt (preferably a sodium salt or potassium salt, more preferably a sodium salt) of a fatty acid (preferably a fatty acid having 5 to 50 carbon atoms) is even more preferred. The use of an organic alkali metal salt enhances the effect as a crystal nucleating agent and improves the crystallinity of the resin composition, which tends to result in a well-balanced improvement in the various performances of molded articles formed from the resin composition, as will be shown in the examples described below, making it even more preferred.

[0158] The content of the nucleating agent (preferably talc) in the resin composition of this embodiment is preferably 0.1 parts by mass or more, more preferably 0.2 parts by mass or more, even more preferably 0.5 parts by mass or more, even more preferably 1.0 parts by mass or more, and even more preferably 1.5 parts by mass or more, per 100 parts by mass of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin and the polycarbonate resin combined. By setting the content of the nucleating agent at or above the lower limit, the mold release properties and mechanical strength of the molded product tend to be improved. In particular, by including preferably 1.6 parts by mass or more, more preferably 1.8 parts by mass or more of the nucleating agent (preferably talc) per 100 parts by mass of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin and the polycarbonate resin combined, the flame retardancy of the resin composition can be further improved. Furthermore, the upper limit of the content of the nucleating agent is 10 parts by mass or less, preferably 8 parts by mass or less, more preferably 5 parts by mass or less, and even more preferably 3 parts by mass or less, per 100 parts by mass of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin and the polycarbonate resin combined. By setting the content to the upper limit or less, decomposition of the resin is suppressed, and the mechanical strength, particularly impact resistance, of the molded product tends to be improved. The resin composition of this embodiment may contain only one type of nucleating agent, or may contain two or more types. When two or more types are contained, it is preferable that the total amount is in the above range.

[0159] <Other Components> The resin composition of this embodiment may contain other components in addition to those described above, as necessary, as long as the desired physical properties are not significantly impaired. [0175]

[0176] <Measurement of the amount of bisphenol A (BPA amount) in polycarbonate resin (virgin product and recycled product)> Polycarbonate resin was dissolved in a dichloromethane solution, methanol was added dropwise to reprecipitate the polymer component, and the solution was filtered. The filtrate was dried and dissolved in 5 mL of methanol. The methanol solution was analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography (Shimadzu Corporation, "LC-20AD Prominence") to determine the content of bisphenol A. A calibration curve prepared from a separately prepared standard substance was used to calculate the content.

[0177] <Measurement of Branching Amount of Polycarbonate Resin (Virgin Product and Recycled Product)> In this embodiment, the branching amount of a polycarbonate resin refers to the total content (unit: ppm by mass) of PSA, PSA-Me, PBA, and dicarboxylic acids (DA1, DA2) (structures shown below) obtained after hydrolysis of the polycarbonate resin. Specifically, 0.5 g of polycarbonate resin was dissolved in 5 mL of methylene chloride, and then 45 mL of methanol and 5 mL of a 25% by mass aqueous sodium hydroxide solution were added. The mixture was stirred at 70°C for 30 minutes to hydrolyze (methylene chloride solution). Subsequently, 6N hydrochloric acid was added to this methylene chloride solution to adjust the pH of the solution to about 2, and the volume was adjusted to 100 mL with pure water. Next, 20 μL of the prepared methylene chloride solution was injected into a liquid chromatograph, and the contents of PSA, PSA-Me, PBA, and dicarboxylic acids (DA1 and DBA2) shown in the structures below were measured, and the total amount was taken as the branching amount of the polycarbonate resin (unit: mass ppm). The liquid chromatograph and measurement conditions were as follows. Liquid chromatograph: LC-10AD manufactured by Shimadzu Corporation Column: YMC PACK ODS-AM M-307-3 4.6 mm ID × 75 mm L Detector: UV 280 nm Eluent: (A) 0.05% aqueous trifluoroacetic acid solution (B) methanol Gradient conditions: 0 min (B = 40%), 25 min (B - 95%) The contents of PSA, PSA-Me, PBA, and dicarboxylic acids (DA1 and DA2) were calculated from the respective peak areas based on a calibration curve prepared using bisphenol A.

The measurement conditions were as follows: Column: Shodex KF-G + KF-805L x 3 + KF-800D Detector: UV detector 254 nm Column temperature: 40°C Eluent: tetrahydrofuran (THF) The dispersity (Mw / Mn) was calculated based on the obtained Mw and Mn. Note that Mw and Mn in this specification are values measured by the above method for all components. Furthermore, when two or more polycarbonate resins are contained, the Mw and Mn of the polycarbonate resins are the Mw and Mn of the mixture, respectively. The same applies to the other components.

[0181] <Measurement of the amount of metal elements> Qualitative / semi-quantitative analysis of metal elements (Al, Fe, P) in polycarbonate resin was performed by ICP atomic emission spectrometry. In this case, as a pretreatment, 200 mg of sample was weighed and subjected to Kjeldahl wet hydrolysis (sulfuric acid / nitric acid, sulfuric acid / hydrogen peroxide), and the volume was adjusted to 50 mL. Subsequently, ICP atomic emission spectrometry was performed using the acid concentration matching single point calibration method. The unit is expressed in ppm by mass. ICP atomic emission spectrometry was performed using a ThermoThermo Fisher Scientific "iCAP7600duo iCAP76000uo" by axial / radial photometry.
