[0102] Meanwhile, the signal processing device (170) can process various signals such as audio signals, video signals, and data signals. To this end, the signal processing device (170) can be implemented in the form of a system on chip (SOC).
[0103] Figure 4 is an internal block diagram of the first display or the second display of Figure 2.
[0104] Below, the first display (180a) will be described.
[0105] Referring to the drawing, a display (180a) based on an organic light-emitting panel may include an organic light-emitting panel (210), a first interface unit (230), a second interface unit (231), a timing controller (232), a gate driver (234), a data driver (236), a memory (240), a power supply unit (290), a current detector (510), etc.
[0106] The display (180) receives a video signal (Vd), a first DC power source (V1), and a second DC power source (V2), and can display a predetermined image based on the video signal (Vd).
[0107] Meanwhile, the first interface unit (230) within the display (180) can receive a video signal (Vd) and a first DC power source (V1) from the signal processing device (170).
[0108] Here, the first DC power supply (V1) can be used for the operation of the power supply (290) and the timing controller (232) within the display (180).
[0109] Next, the second interface unit (231) can receive a second DC power supply (V2) from an external power supply unit (190). Meanwhile, the second DC power supply (V2) can be input to a data drive unit (236) within the display (180).
[0110] The timing controller (232) can output a data driving signal (Sda) and a gate driving signal (Sga) based on a video signal (Vd).
[0111] For example, when the first interface unit (230) converts an input image signal (Vd) and outputs a converted image signal (va1), the timing controller (232) can output a data driving signal (Sda) and a gate driving signal (Sga) based on the converted image signal (va1).
[0112] The timing controller (232) can receive, in addition to the video signal (Vd) from the signal processing device (170), a control signal, a vertical synchronization signal (Vsync), etc.
[0113] In addition, the timing controller (232) can output a gate drive signal (Sga) for the operation of the gate drive unit (234) and a data drive signal (Sda) for the operation of the data drive unit (236) based on a control signal, a vertical synchronization signal (Vsync), etc., in addition to a video signal (Vd).
[0114] The data driving signal (Sda) at this time may be a data driving signal for driving RGB subpixels when the panel (210) has RGB subpixels.
[0115] Meanwhile, the data driving signal (Sda) may be a data driving signal for driving RGBW subpixels when the panel (210) has RGBW subpixels.
[0116] Meanwhile, the timing controller (232) can further output a control signal (Cs) to the gate driver (234).
[0117] The gate driving unit (234) and the data driving unit (236) supply scan signals and data signals to the organic light-emitting panel (210) through the gate line (GL) and the data line (DL), respectively, in accordance with the gate driving signal (Sga) and the data driving signal (Sda) from the timing controller (232). Accordingly, the organic light-emitting panel (210) displays a predetermined image.
[0118] Meanwhile, the organic light-emitting panel (210) may include an organic light-emitting layer, and in order to display an image, a plurality of gate lines (GL) and data lines (DL) may be arranged in a matrix form to cross each pixel corresponding to the organic light-emitting layer.
[0119] Meanwhile, the gate line (GL) may also be called a scan line because a scan signal is input.
[0120] Meanwhile, the data driving unit (236) can output a data signal to the organic light-emitting panel (210) based on the second direct current power (V2) from the second interface unit (231).
[0121] The power supply unit (290) can supply various power sources to the gate driver unit (234), the data driver unit (236), the timing controller (232), etc.
[0122] The current detection unit (510) can detect the current flowing in the subpixel of the panel (210). The detected current can be input to a processor (270) or the like for cumulative current calculation.
[0123] Meanwhile, the timing controller (232), gate driver (234), data driver (236), and memory (240) in the drawing can be implemented as a single integrated circuit (IC).
[0124] Accordingly, the timing controller (232), gate driver (234), data driver (236), and memory (240) may be named a drive control unit (285).
[0125] Meanwhile, the drive control unit (285) may include a buffer (not shown) that stores frame data.
[0126] In particular, the timing controller (232) in the drive control unit (285) can output a gate drive signal and a data drive signal based on frame data stored in a buffer (not shown) or memory (240).
[0127] The timing controller (232) or the driving control unit (285) can perform various controls within the display (180). For example, it can control the gate driving unit (234), the data driving unit (236), the timing controller (232), etc.
[0128] Meanwhile, the timing controller (232) or the driving control unit (285) can receive information on the current flowing in the subpixel of the panel (210) from the current detection unit (510).
[0129] In addition, the timing controller (232) or the driving control unit (285) can calculate the accumulated current of the subpixels of each panel (210) based on the current information flowing in the subpixels of the panel (210). The calculated accumulated current can be stored in the memory (240).
[0130] Meanwhile, the timing controller (232) or the driving control unit (285) can determine that burn-in has occurred when the accumulated current of the subpixels of each panel (210) exceeds the allowable value.
[0131] For example, the timing controller (232) or the driving control unit (285) may determine that a subpixel of each panel (210) has a burnt-in subpixel if the accumulated current of the subpixel is 300,000 A or more.
[0132] Meanwhile, the timing controller (232) or the driving control unit (285) may determine that a subpixel among the subpixels of each panel (210) is a subpixel predicted to be subject to burn-in when the accumulated current of the subpixel approaches the allowable value.
[0133] Meanwhile, the timing controller (232) or the driving control unit (285) can determine the subpixel with the largest accumulated current as the burn-in prediction subpixel based on the current detected by the current detection unit (510).
[0134] Meanwhile, the timing controller (232) or the driving control unit (285) may predict current information to flow in a subpixel based on an image signal from the signal processing device (170), regardless of the operation of the current detection unit (510), and determine a subpixel in which burn-in is predicted based on the predicted current information.
[0135] FIGS. 5A to 5D are drawings for reference in the description of the organic light-emitting panel of FIG. 4.
[0136] First, FIG. 5a is a drawing showing an example of a pixel in an organic light-emitting panel (210).
[0137] Referring to the drawing, the organic light-emitting panel (210) may have a plurality of scan lines (Scan 1 to Scan n) and a plurality of data lines (R1, G1, B1 to Rm, Gm, Bm) intersecting therewith.
[0138] Meanwhile, a pixel (subpixel) is defined in the intersection area of the scan line and the data line within the organic light-emitting panel (210). In the drawing, a pixel (Pixel) having RGB subpixels (SR1, SG1, SB1) is illustrated.
[0139] Meanwhile, red organic light-emitting diodes, green organic light-emitting diodes, and blue organic light-emitting diodes are placed in the RGB subpixels (SR1, SG1, SB1), respectively.
[0140] Next, FIG. 5b is a drawing showing another example of pixels within the panel (210).
[0141] Referring to the drawing, the panel (210) may have a plurality of scan lines (Scan 1 to Scan n) and a plurality of data lines (R1, G1, B1, W1 to Rm, Gm, Bm, Wm) intersecting therewith.
[0142] Meanwhile, a pixel (subpixel) is defined in the intersection area of a scan line and a data line within the panel (210). In the drawing, a pixel (Pixel) having RGBW subpixels (SR1, SG1, SB1, SW1) is illustrated.
[0143] Meanwhile, red organic light-emitting diodes, green organic light-emitting diodes, blue organic light-emitting diodes, and white organic light-emitting diodes are placed in the RGBW subpixels (SR1, SG1, SB1, SW1), respectively.
[0144] FIG. 5c illustrates an example of a circuit of a sub-pixel within a pixel of the panel of FIG. 5a or FIG. 5b.
[0145] Referring to the drawing, the sub-pixel circuit (CRTm) may be an active type and include a scan switching element (SW1), a storage capacitor (Cst), a driving switching element (SW2), and an organic light-emitting layer (OLED).
[0146] The scan switching element (SW1) is turned on according to an input scan signal (Vdscan) by connecting a scan line to the gate terminal. When turned on, the input data signal (Vdata) is transmitted to the gate terminal of the driving switching element (SW2) or one end of the storage capacitor (Cst).
[0147] The storage capacitor (Cst) is formed between the gate terminal and the source terminal of the driving switching element (SW2), and stores a predetermined difference between the data signal level transmitted to one end of the storage capacitor (Cst) and the DC voltage (VDD) level transmitted to the other end of the storage capacitor (Cst).
[0148] For example, if the data signal has different levels according to the PAM (Plus Amplitude Modulation) method, the power level stored in the storage capacitor (Cst) changes depending on the level difference of the data signal (Vdata).
[0149] As another example, when the data signal has different pulse widths according to the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) method, the power level stored in the storage capacitor (Cst) changes depending on the difference in the pulse width of the data signal (Vdata).
[0150] The driving switching element (SW2) is turned on according to the power level stored in the storage capacitor (Cst). When the driving switching element (SW2) is turned on, a driving current (IOLED) proportional to the stored power level flows to the organic light-emitting layer (OLED). Accordingly, the organic light-emitting layer (OLED) performs a light-emitting operation.
[0151] The organic light-emitting layer (OLED) includes an emission layer (EML) corresponding to a subpixel, and may include at least one of a hole injection layer (HIL), a hole transport layer (HTL), an electron transport layer (ETL), and an electron injection layer (EIL), and may also include a hole blocking layer.
[0152] Meanwhile, in the drawing, a case in which a p-type MOSFET is used as the scan switching element (SW1) and the driving switching element (SW2) is exemplified, but an n-type MOSFET, or other switching elements such as a JFET, IGBT, or SIC may also be used.
[0153] Meanwhile, a pixel is a hold-type element that continues to emit light in an organic light-emitting layer (OLED) after a scan signal is applied during a unit display period, specifically, during a unit frame.
[0154] Meanwhile, the sub-pixel circuit (CRTm) in the drawing is driven by an active matrix method.
[0155] FIG. 5d illustrates another example of a circuit of a sub-pixel within a pixel of the panel of FIG. 5a or FIG. 5b.
[0156] Referring to the drawing, the organic light-emitting sub-pixel circuit (CRTm) may be of a passive type and may only include an organic light-emitting diode (LED) without a separate switching element.
[0157] As shown in the drawing, the anode of the organic light-emitting diode (LED) is connected to a data line, so that a data signal (Vdata) can be input, and the cathode of the organic light-emitting diode (LED) is connected to a scan line, so that a scan signal (Vscan) can be input.
[0158] Meanwhile, organic light-emitting diodes can emit organic light or non-organic light based on multiple sub-frames in a passive matrix manner.
[0159] Meanwhile, unlike the drawing, the anode of the organic light-emitting diode (LED) may be connected to a scan line, so that a scan signal (Vscan) may be input, and the cathode of the organic light-emitting diode (LED) may be connected to a data line, so that a data signal (Vdata) may be input.
[0160] Meanwhile, the sub-pixel circuit (CRTm) in the drawing is driven by a passive matrix method.
[0161] FIG. 6 is an example of an internal block diagram of a vehicle display device related to the present disclosure.
[0162] Referring to the drawings, a vehicle display device (100x) related to the present disclosure includes a signal processing device (170), a safety processor (186), a timing controller (232), and a panel (210).
[0163] The signal processing device (170) outputs a video signal, and the safety processor (186) receives the video signal and outputs a signal corresponding to the video signal and a vehicle warning image.
[0164] The vehicle warning (tell-tale) image may include at least one of steering wheel information, battery information, ABS information, front lighting information, airbag information, electronic parking brake information, auto hold information, door information, seat belt information, Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) information, taillight information, low beam information, high beam information, and Hill Descent Control (HDC) information.
[0165] The timing controller (232) can receive a video signal and a signal corresponding to a vehicle warning image and output a scan signal and a data signal to the panel (210).
[0166] Accordingly, an image corresponding to the image signal and a vehicle warning image can be displayed on the panel (210).
[0167] Meanwhile, a signal processing device (170) and a safety processor (186) in a vehicle display device (100x) related to the present disclosure may be mounted on a first circuit board (not shown), and a timing controller (232) may be mounted on a second circuit board (not shown).
[0168] Accordingly, the safety processor (186) can convert the image signal and the signal corresponding to the vehicle warning image into a low-voltage differential signal (LVDS) and transmit the converted LVDS signal to the timing controller (232).
[0169] Meanwhile, since the safety processor (186) and the timing controller (232) are separated from each other, there is a disadvantage in that if the timing controller (232) does not receive a signal from the safety processor (186), it cannot display a video or vehicle warning image.
[0170] For example, if the safety processor (186) fails, a vehicle warning image related to safety cannot be displayed on the panel (210), which poses a significant risk to vehicle safety.
[0171] Accordingly, this disclosure proposes a method for stably displaying vehicle warning images. This is described with reference to FIG. 7 and below.
[0172] FIG. 7 is an example of an internal block diagram of a vehicle display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0173] Referring to the drawings, a vehicle display device (100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes an organic light-emitting panel (210) and a driving control unit (285) that outputs a driving signal to the organic light-emitting panel (210).
[0174] The driving control unit (285) outputs at least one vehicle warning image to the organic light-emitting panel (210) using at least one vehicle warning image stored in the memory (240).
[0175] Accordingly, the vehicle warning image can be displayed stably. In particular, the vehicle warning image can be output separately from the signal processing device (170), thereby enabling the vehicle warning image to be displayed stably.
[0176] The driving control unit (285) may further include a memory (240) for storing at least one vehicle warning image and a current detection unit (510) for detecting current flowing through the panel (210).
[0177] Meanwhile, at least one vehicle warning image stored in the memory (240) may include a steering wheel information image, a battery information image, an ABS information image, an AFS (front lighting) information image, an airbag information image, an electronic parking brake (EPB) information image, and an auto hold information image.
[0178] Meanwhile, a vehicle display device (100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a signal processing device (170) that outputs a video signal.
[0179] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) can output at least one vehicle warning image and a predetermined image stored in the memory (240) to the organic light-emitting panel (210) when the video signal output of the signal processing device (170) is stopped. Accordingly, at least one vehicle warning image can be stably displayed.
[0180] Meanwhile, the signal processing device (170) can output a video signal including a plurality of vehicle warning images.
[0181] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) can receive multiple vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170) and, separately from at least one vehicle warning image, output multiple vehicle warning images to the organic light-emitting panel (210). Accordingly, multiple vehicle warning images can be displayed.
[0182] The plurality of vehicle warning images output from the signal processing device (170) at this time may include a door information image, a seat belt information image, a diesel particulate filter (DPF) information image, a taillight information image, a low beam information image, a high beam information image, and a hill descent control (HDC) information image.
[0183] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) can output at least one vehicle warning image instead of outputting multiple vehicle warning images when the video signal output of the signal processing device (170) is interrupted. Accordingly, the vehicle warning image can be stably displayed.
[0184] Meanwhile, the safety level of at least one vehicle warning image output from the driving control unit (285) may be higher than the safety level of a plurality of vehicle warning images output from the signal processing device (170).
[0185] Accordingly, even if the signal output from the signal processing device (170) is interrupted due to a failure of the signal processing device (170), etc., at least one vehicle warning image can be stably displayed using the driving control unit (285).
[0186] FIG. 8A is an example of an internal block diagram of a vehicle display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0187] Referring to the drawings, a vehicle display device (100b) according to another embodiment of the present disclosure includes, similarly to FIG. 7, an organic light-emitting panel (210) and a driving control unit (285) that outputs a driving signal to the organic light-emitting panel (210), and the driving control unit (285) outputs at least one vehicle warning image to the organic light-emitting panel (210) using at least one vehicle warning image stored in the memory (240).
[0188] Meanwhile, the vehicle display device (100b) of FIG. 8a, unlike FIG. 7, has a difference in that it drives multiple displays (180a, 180b, 180h).
[0189] To this end, a vehicle display device (100b) according to another embodiment of the present disclosure further includes an image distribution unit (177) that distributes an input image signal.
[0190] The first image signal distributed from the image distribution unit (177) is input to the driving control unit (285), and the timing controller (232) within the driving control unit (285) outputs a driving signal to the first display (180a) based on the organic light-emitting panel (210) based on the first image signal.
[0191] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) outputs at least one vehicle warning image to the first display (180a) including the organic light-emitting panel (210) using at least one vehicle warning image stored in the memory (240).
[0192] Meanwhile, a vehicle display device (100b) according to another embodiment of the present disclosure further includes a signal processing device (170) that outputs a video signal.
[0193] The signal processing device (170) can output a first image signal for the first display (180a), a second image signal for the second display (180b), and a third image signal for the third display (180h).
[0194] Meanwhile, the signal processing device (170) can output signals corresponding to multiple vehicle warning images for displaying multiple vehicle warning images on the first display (180a).
[0195] A signal corresponding to a plurality of vehicle warning images is input to a driving control unit (285), and the driving control unit (285) can control the plurality of vehicle warning images to be displayed on the first display (180a) based on the signal corresponding to the plurality of vehicle warning images.
[0196] Meanwhile, the second image signal distributed from the image distribution unit (177) can be input to the second display (180b), and the third image signal distributed from the image distribution unit (177) can be input to the third display (180h).
[0197] Meanwhile, in the drawing, the driving control units for the second display (180b) and the third display (180h) are not separately shown, but similarly to the first display (180a), a second driving control unit (not shown) and a third driving control unit (not shown) may be provided for each of the second display (180b) and the third display (180h).
[0198] Meanwhile, the second drive control unit (not shown) for the second display (180b) and the third drive control unit (not shown) for the third display (180h) can each be controlled to display at least one vehicle warning image using internal memory. Accordingly, at least one vehicle warning image can be stably displayed.
[0199] Meanwhile, the vehicle warning images for the second display (180b) and the third display (180h) can also be output from the driving control unit (285).
[0200] Figures 8b to 12b are drawings that are referenced in the description of Figures 7 to 8a.
[0201] FIG. 8b illustrates that a cluster image is displayed on the first display (180a) based on the operation of the driving control unit.
[0202] Referring to the drawing, a drive control unit (285) is arranged within a control circuit board (CPB), and the drive control unit (285) can receive a video signal from a signal processing device (170) and output a gate drive signal (Sgaaa, Sgab) and a data signal (Sda) based on the video signal.
[0203] The drivers (Dra, Drb, Drc) within the source circuit board (SPB) receive gate drive signals (Sgaaa, Sgab) and data signals (Sda) from the drive control unit (285), and can control the cluster image (900) to be displayed on the first display (180a) based on the gate drive signals (Sgaaa, Sgab) and data signals (Sda).
[0204] Figure 9a is a drawing illustrating a cluster image (900).
[0205] Referring to the drawing, the cluster image (900) may include vehicle speed information, driving information, vehicle temperature information, etc.
[0206] Additionally, the cluster image (900) may include multiple vehicle warning images.
[0207] FIG. 9b is a drawing that distinguishes and displays at least one vehicle warning image from a driving control unit (285) within a cluster image and multiple vehicle warning images from a signal processing device (170).
[0208] Referring to the drawing, the plurality of vehicle warning images in the cluster image (900) can be divided into at least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285) and the plurality of vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170).
[0209] At least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285) may include a steering wheel information image (911), a battery information image (912), an ABS information image (913), an AFS (Airbag System) information image (914), an airbag information image (915), an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) off information image (916), an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) information image (917), an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) information image (918), and an auto hold information image (919).
[0210] The plurality of vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170) may include a door information image (1011), a seat belt information image (1012), an engine information image (1013), a diesel particulate filter (DPF) information image (1014), a four-wheel drive information image (1015), a taillight information image (1016), a low beam information image (1017), a high beam information image (1018), a hill descent control (HDC) information image (1114), and an SOS information image (1112).
[0211] Meanwhile, the safety level of at least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285) may be higher than the safety levels of multiple vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170). Accordingly, at least one vehicle warning image can be stably displayed.
[0212] Meanwhile, when various vehicle warning images of FIG. 9b are displayed on an organic light-emitting panel (210), a burn-in phenomenon may occur. Accordingly, the present disclosure also describes methods for determining or compensating for deterioration of various vehicle warning images.
[0213] Figure 10a is a drawing illustrating an example of a character within a vehicle warning image.
[0214] In the drawing, the character 'a' is exemplified as a character within a vehicle warning image, but 'A' within an ABS information image (913), a front lighting information image (914), or an auto hold information image (919) is also possible.
[0215] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) displays a vehicle warning image on the cluster image (900), as shown in FIG. 9, and thus performs alpha blending on at least a portion of the vehicle warning image to display the vehicle warning image transparently or semi-transparently.
[0216] Fig. 10a (a) illustrates a portion (1010) of a vehicle warning image before alpha blending, and Fig. 10a (b) illustrates a portion (1015) of a vehicle warning image after alpha blending.
[0217] By alpha blending, the transparency of a portion (1015) of the vehicle warning image becomes higher than that of a portion (1010) of the vehicle warning image.
[0218] Figure 10b is a drawing illustrating another example of a character within a vehicle warning image.
[0219] In the drawing, 'S' is exemplified as a character within a vehicle warning image. 'S' in this case may be a character within the SOS information image (1112) of FIG. 9b.
[0220] The vehicle warning image (1020) of FIG. 10b has undergone alpha blending, with some areas (1022) appearing as opaque areas and other areas (1024) appearing as transparent areas.
[0221] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) can perform a deterioration judgment on at least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285) or a plurality of vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170), and perform deterioration compensation when deterioration is determined.
[0222] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) may perform a deterioration judgment excluding the alpha blending region when an alpha blending region is included in at least one vehicle warning image or a first vehicle warning image among a plurality of vehicle warning images.
[0223] For example, the driving control unit (285) can perform a deterioration judgment based on the opaque area (1022), etc., excluding the transparent area (1024), which is an alpha blending area, in the vehicle warning image (1020) of FIG. 10b.
[0224] Specifically, the driving control unit (285) can perform deterioration judgment based on the opaque area (1022), etc., excluding the transparent area (1024), which is the alpha blending area, when counting pixels for deterioration judgment.
[0225] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) includes a current detection unit (510) that detects the current flowing in the organic light-emitting panel (210), and can determine deterioration of the vehicle warning image based on the current detected by the current detection unit (510).
[0226] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) may perform a deterioration judgment based on the shape of the vehicle warning image when determining deterioration of at least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285) or a plurality of vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170), and perform deterioration compensation corresponding to the shape of the vehicle warning image.
[0227] For example, when determining deterioration of at least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285) or a plurality of vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170), the driving control unit (285) may determine deterioration based on the shape of the vehicle warning image, rather than determining deterioration based on a square block within the vehicle warning image. Accordingly, more accurate deterioration determination becomes possible.
[0228] As another example, the driving control unit (285) may, when determining deterioration of at least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285) or a plurality of vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170), perform deterioration determination based on pixels of the vehicle warning image and perform deterioration compensation for pixels of the vehicle warning image. Accordingly, deterioration of the vehicle warning image can be prevented.
[0229] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) can detect a check bit added to at least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285) or a plurality of vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170), perform a deterioration judgment of the vehicle warning image based on the check bit, and perform deterioration compensation for pixels of the vehicle warning image based on the deterioration judgment.
[0230] Figure 10c illustrates a check bit being added to some areas of a vehicle warning image.
[0231] Referring to the drawing, as in (a) of FIG. 10c, a check bit (PTa) may be added to any area of the vehicle warning image (1032), and the driving control unit (285) may detect whether the check bit (PTa) in the vehicle warning image (1032) has changed.
[0232] For example, the drive control unit (285) can determine that deterioration has occurred when the check bit (PTa) changes and perform deterioration compensation.
[0233] Meanwhile, as in (b) of FIG. 10c, check bits (PT1 to PT4) can be added to each of a plurality of areas of the vehicle warning image (1034), and the driving control unit (285) can detect whether the check bits (PT1 to PT4) in the vehicle warning image (1032) have changed.
[0234] For example, the drive control unit (285) can determine that deterioration has occurred when the check bits (PT1 to PT4) change and perform deterioration compensation.
[0235] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) may check for deterioration of the alpha blending region using a mask layer corresponding to the alpha blending region when an alpha blending region is included in the first vehicle warning image among at least one vehicle warning image, and perform deterioration compensation based on the deterioration check result. This will be described with reference to FIG. 11A and the like.
[0236] Figure 11a illustrates performing a deterioration judgment on an alpha blending area within a vehicle warning image.
[0237] Referring to the drawing, (a) of FIG. 11a may be an SOS information image (1050), which is a vehicle warning image provided by a signal processing device (170).
[0238] Since there is a curved area in the 'S' character in the SOS information image (1050), as shown in Fig. 10b, it is divided into a transparent area (1024) and an opaque area (1022) by alpha blending.
[0239] As described above, the opaque area (1022) is counted when determining deterioration, but the transparent area (1024) may not be counted.
[0240] However, since deterioration may also occur in the transparent area (1024), in the present disclosure, a mask layer (1055), such as (b) of FIG. 11a, is used to determine deterioration in the transparent area (1024).
[0241] The mask layer (1055) can cover the entire area of the 'SOS' character.
[0242] The driving control unit (285) can overlap the vehicle warning image (1060) of (c) of FIG. 11a and the mask layer (1055).
[0243] And, the driving control unit (285) can check for deterioration based on an overlapping image (1065), such as (d) of Fig. 11a.
[0244] Accordingly, the driving control unit (285) can perform counting on the transparent area within the vehicle warning image.
[0245] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) can perform brightness compensation for each color of the alpha blending region when compensating for deterioration of the alpha blending region when the alpha blending region is included in the first vehicle warning image among at least one vehicle warning image.
[0246] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) can control the luminance compensation value for each color of the alpha blending area to be different when compensating for deterioration of the alpha blending area when the alpha blending value for each color of the alpha blending area is different.
[0247] For example, the drive control unit (285) can perform red, orange, and green star brightness compensation during deterioration compensation.
[0248] Specifically, the drive control unit (285) can control the brightness compensation values of red, orange, and green stars to be different when compensating for deterioration.
[0249] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) can control the brightness compensation values for red, orange, and green in the alpha blending area to be different when the alpha blending values for each color in the alpha blending area are different. Accordingly, deterioration of the vehicle warning image can be prevented.
[0250] FIG. 11b illustrates a screen (1110) including multiple vehicle warning images.
[0251] Referring to the drawing, the screen (1110) may include at least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285), a battery information image (912), and an AFS information image (914).
[0252] Meanwhile, the screen (1110) may include an SOS information image (1112) from a signal processing device (170) and a downhill driving control information image (1114) which is a plurality of vehicle warning images.
[0253] The driving control unit (285) can perform a deterioration judgment on at least one vehicle warning image, such as a battery information image (912) and an AFS information image (914), from the driving control unit (285) by a method such as that shown in FIG. 11a.
[0254] Alternatively, the driving control unit (285) may perform a deterioration judgment on the SOS information image (1112) from the signal processing device (170) and the downhill driving control information image (1114), which is a plurality of vehicle warning images, by a method such as that of FIG. 11a.
[0255] Figure 11c is a drawing illustrating an example of a vehicle warning image with deterioration compensation.
[0256] Referring to the drawings, (a) of FIG. 11c illustrates an image (1120) including a plurality of vehicle warning images (922, 924, 1122, 1124) that are deteriorated and compensated for the plurality of vehicle warning images (912, 914, 1112, 1114) of FIG. 11b.
[0257] The driving control unit (285) can perform deterioration compensation by shifting only the plurality of vehicle warning images (922, 924, 1122, 1124) within the image (1120).
[0258] For example, the driving control unit (285) can perform pixel shift, first axis line shift, or second axis line shift only on the plurality of vehicle warning images (922, 924, 1122, 1124) within the image (1120).
[0259] Figure 11c (b) illustrates a cluster image (1130) including speed information, etc.
[0260] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) can control a plurality of deterioration-compensated vehicle warning images (922, 924, 1122, 1124) to be superimposed on the cluster image (1140), as shown in (c) of FIG. 11c. Accordingly, the deterioration-compensated vehicle warning images can be displayed.
[0261] Figure 11d illustrates various examples of degradation compensation.
[0262] Referring to the drawing, the driving control unit (285) can perform pixel shift of the vehicle warning image as in (a) of FIG. 11d, perform line shift of the first axis (y-axis) of the vehicle warning image as in (b) of FIG. 11d, or perform line shift of the second axis (x-axis) of the vehicle warning image as in (c) of FIG. 11d.
[0263] Specifically, the driving control unit (285) may perform degradation compensation on at least one vehicle warning image from the driving control unit (285), thereby performing pixel shift or line shift of at least one vehicle warning image, or varying the brightness of at least one vehicle warning image. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent degradation of the vehicle warning image while stably displaying at least one vehicle warning image.
[0264] Meanwhile, the driving control unit (285) may perform deterioration compensation on a plurality of vehicle warning images from the signal processing device (170), thereby performing pixel shift or line shift on the plurality of vehicle warning images, or varying the brightness of the plurality of vehicle warning images. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent deterioration of the vehicle warning images while stably displaying the plurality of vehicle warning images.
[0265] Figure 12a is a diagram illustrating various representations of a cluster image.
[0266] Referring to the drawing, the driving control unit (285) can control a cluster image (1210) including a plurality of vehicle warning images (912, 914), vehicle speed information (1211), and vehicle driving information (1212) to be displayed on the organic light-emitting panel (210), as shown in (a) of FIG. 12a.
[0267] At this time, multiple vehicle warning images (912, 914) are generated based on the memory (240) in the driving control unit (285), and the vehicle speed information (1211) and vehicle driving information (1212) may be based on a video signal received from a signal processing device (170).
[0268] Meanwhile, when multiple vehicle warning images (912, 914) are received from the signal processing device (170), if the signal processing device (170) malfunctions, a black image (1220) in which no information is displayed is displayed on the organic light-emitting panel (210), as shown in (b) of FIG. 12a.
[0269] In such cases, it can cause serious safety problems while driving.
[0270] Accordingly, in the present disclosure, as described above, a vehicle warning image (912, 914) related to safety is generated and output by a driving control unit (285) rather than a signal processing device (170).
[0271] Meanwhile, the memory (240) in the driving control unit (285) can temporarily store vehicle speed information, background screen, etc. received from the signal processing device (170).
[0272] Accordingly, even if the signal processing device (170) breaks down, the driving control unit (285) can control to display a cluster image (1230) including safety-related vehicle warning images (912, 914), vehicle speed information (1211), background screen, etc., as shown in (c) of Fig. 12a. Accordingly, even if the signal processing device breaks down, vehicle warning images, etc. can be stably displayed.
[0273] However, the cluster image (1230) does not include some information, such as vehicle driving information (1212), and the area displaying the vehicle driving information may be displayed as a black area (1232).
[0274] Figure 12b illustrates a cluster image containing safety information.
[0275] Referring to the drawing, the driving control unit (285) can control to display safety status information in some areas (BLa, BLb) of the cluster image, depending on the vehicle status.
[0276] In the drawing, it is exemplified that safety status information is displayed in both end regions (BLa, BLb), which are part of the cluster image.
[0277] For example, the driving control unit (285) can control the end areas (BLa, BLb) to be displayed in green when the vehicle status is in a safe state, in yellow or orange when the vehicle status requires attention, and in red when the vehicle status is in a warning state.
[0278] Accordingly, the driver can intuitively understand the vehicle status.
[0279] Meanwhile, although the preferred embodiments of the present disclosure have been illustrated and described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the specific embodiments described above, and various modifications may be made by a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains without departing from the gist of the present disclosure as claimed in the claims, and such modifications should not be understood individually from the technical idea or prospect of the present disclosure.
