Abstract

The present invention relates to a brush holder accessory that is especially designed to allow a brush to be held in different positions, thereby providing greater precision when using the brush for different techniques. The device consists of a cylindrical tubular body (3), having an internal diameter suitable for the external diameter of the body of the brush (2), which is to be partially placed over said body, and comprises a threaded head (1) for clasping the brush (2) that is aligned with the front end of the cylindrical tubular body. The rear end of the cylindrical tubular body (3) is axially arranged in the interior cavity of a tubular arm (4) in a telescopic manner, which comprises stabilisation means for stabilising the assembly. The rear of said tubular arm (4) ends in a rounded widening (6) comprising a curved concave recess (7) on its upper face which makes it easier to grip for different techniques.

Description

[0001] BRUSH HOLDER ACCESSORY

[0002] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The present invention relates to a brush holder accessory that allows the brush to be held in multiple positions, offering the possibility of maximum precision in the application of the brush with different techniques.

[0004] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The brushes have a thin, elongated body, designed to be held with three fingers by the head carrying the bristles, while its body rests near its rear end on the arch formed by the thumb and index fingers.

[0006] However, when creating certain layouts, such as precision layouts or layouts that require repetitive or parallel lines, this type of clamping may not be the most suitable.

[0007] EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The brush-holder accessory proposed by the invention fully satisfactorily resolves the problem described above, offering a wide variety of possible positions for using the brush, as well as offering an adjustable nature that further increases its versatility.

[0009] To this end, and more specifically, the device of the invention is constituted from a cylindrical tubular body, in the core of which a brush itself is intended to be implanted, and whose mouthpiece is associated with a threaded head or other fitting system that wedges the brush against the tubular body, stabilizing it and allowing its implantation in different relative positions, depending on the degree of insertion of the brush in the core of the tubular body, in addition to giving a replaceable character to said brush.

[0010] The cylindrical tubular body is subsequently linked telescopically to an equally tubular arm, equipped with a threaded head or other fitting system, which allows adjusting the degree of deployment or retraction between both telescopic elements. This configuration is one possibility, another being the body of the brush fitted directly into the handle or even a telescopic system of more than two tubular elements, these elements remaining perfectly immobilized.

[0011] This arm ends in a circular or curved extension, which is intended to define a perimeter gripping surface, allowing the user to grasp it with the index finger. However, this extension includes a curved-concave recess on its upper surface, allowing for another way of gripping the support. It also allows for support on the palm or the arch formed by the thumb and index fingers.

[0012] Thus, based on this structure, the device can be held in multiple ways, using its head or interchangeable heads, as well as depending on the position of the fingers on the circular expansion, allowing for the application of very diverse drawing techniques using the brush, giving it a versatility that was previously unavailable.

[0013] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0014] To complement the description that follows and in order to help better understand the characteristics of the invention, in accordance with a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description, in which the following has been represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes:

[0015] Figure 1 shows a top perspective view of a brush-holder accessory made in accordance with the object of the present invention. Figure 2 shows a profile view of the device of Figure 1.

[0016] Figures 3, 4 and 5 show different perspective views of the multiple possibilities of holding the device in the hand, depending on different techniques or preferences when making certain types of strokes.

[0017] PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0018] In view of the figures shown, it can be seen how the brush-holder accessory of the invention is constituted from a cylindrical tubular body (3), which will have an internal diameter in accordance with the external diameter of the brush body (2) that is intended to carry the device, which is inserted by its front end, to the depth deemed convenient, so that to immobilize the brush, the cylindrical tubular body (3) includes in correspondence with its front end a threaded head (1) that wedges the brush against the tubular body, so that once said head is tightened, the brush is perfectly stabilized.

[0019] Obviously, since the threaded head (1) can be loosened, the device will allow the use of brushes (2) with different bristle thicknesses, which can be selectively implanted in the cylindrical tubular body (3) depending on the specific needs of each case.

[0020] According to another of the characteristics of the invention, the cylindrical tubular body (3) plays axially in a tubular arm (4) giving the device a telescopic character, tubular arm (4) that includes a set screw or other fitting system (5) to stabilize the cylindrical tubular body (3)-tubular arm (4) assembly at the length deemed convenient, depending on the dimensions of the user's hand.

[0021] This tubular arm (4) and in accordance with another of the essential characteristics of the invention, is subsequently finished in a rounded expansion (6) which, as can be seen in figure 3, allows the device to be stabilized against the arch formed by the thumb and index fingers, or to adapt the index finger perpendicularly to said expansion, as shown in figure 4, holding the threaded head (1) with the thumb and middle fingers, depending on the type of drawing technique that is intended to be used. Finally, it should be said that the rounded expansion (6) includes one or several curved-concave recesses (7) on its surface, which allows a kind of fingernail to be generated for the thumb as shown in figure 5, so that the device can be supported in the position shown in said figure, so that the precision in the strokes becomes a function of the precision in the wrist turns and not in the movement of the fingers as is conventional.

[0022] In short, the device of the invention allows the precision of the tracings not to depend solely on the movement of the fingers, but rather said movement can be combined or replaced by wrist movements, which significantly increases the versatility and customization capacity of the device when applying different tracing techniques.

Claims

1 a .- Brush-holder accessory, characterized in that it is made up of a cylindrical tubular body (3), which has an internal diameter in accordance with the external diameter of the brush body (2) which is intended to be partially introduced on said body, including in correspondence with its front end a threaded head (1) for wedging the brush (2), cylindrical tubular body (3) whose rear end plays axially within a tubular arm (4) with a telescopic character, tubular arm (4) which includes a means of stabilizing the assembly, it having been foreseen that the tubular arm (4) ends later in a rounded expansion (6) which includes a curved-concave recess (7) on its upper face.
