Description

electronic equipment

[0001] The present technology relates to an electronic device equipped with a camera, such as a smartphone.

[0002] Electronic devices such as smartphones and tablet-type information terminals are generally equipped with cameras (see, for example, Patent Document 1). When a camera module is mounted inside the housing of the electronic device, if dust or light from inside the housing enters the camera module, it will affect the captured image. Therefore, a structure is adopted in which the space between the camera module and an exterior member is sealed to block out dust and light.

[0003] Specifically, an elastic member is placed between the yoke portion of the camera module and the camera ring, and the elastic member is compressed by the yoke portion and the camera ring, thereby maintaining a tight seal even if the sizes of the components vary.

[0004] International Publication No. 2022 / 208773

[0005] However, with this type of structure, it is not possible to place other components on the part of the camera ring that comes into contact with the elastic member, and the projection surface of the elastic member becomes dead space. In recent years, as camera modules have become larger, the yoke has also become larger, and the projection surface of the elastic member has expanded.

[0006] Flashes and microphones are placed around the camera, but in conventional structures these components cannot be placed in the dead space and must be placed outside of it, which results in a wasteful structure from the perspective of product design and internal layout.

[0007] In view of the above circumstances, an object of the present technology is to provide an electronic device having a structure that can utilize the surroundings of a camera module.

[0008] To achieve the above object, an information processing device according to one aspect of the present technology includes an exterior member, a camera module, a first elastic member, and a support member. The exterior member forms an exterior of an electronic device and has a mounting space for mounting components inside the electronic device. The camera module is housed inside the electronic device and includes a yoke with an opening around an imaging optical system. The first elastic member is arranged on the yoke around the opening. The support member is arranged between the exterior member and the first elastic member and is plate-shaped having a front surface and a back surface. The support member has a first portion where the first elastic member is located between the back surface and the yoke and the exterior member is located on the front surface side, a second portion where the first elastic member is located between the back surface and the yoke and the front surface faces the mounting space, and a third portion where the back surface faces the opening and the exterior member is located on the front surface side.

[0009] The first elastic member may shield dust and light between the yoke and the exterior member.

[0010] The exterior member may be a camera ring.

[0011] The surface of the third portion may be bonded to the exterior member.

[0012] The support member may be made of a colored resin.

[0013] A second elastic member may be disposed between the surface of the third portion and the exterior member.

[0014] The support member may be made of metal and may be fixed inside the electronic device.

[0015] A component may be mounted in the mounting space.

[0016] The part may be a flash.

[0017] The component may be a microphone.

[0018] The electronic device may further include an outer peripheral member, a heat dissipation member, a second elastic member, and a thermally conductive sheet. The outer peripheral member has a facing portion facing the camera module on the opposite side from the exterior member. The heat dissipation member is disposed on the facing portion. The second elastic member is disposed between the facing portion and the camera module, presses the camera module on the side opposite the facing portion, and has a front side facing the camera module and a back side facing the facing portion. The thermally conductive sheet is wrapped around the second elastic member from the front side to the back side, and has a first portion sandwiched between the front side and the camera module, a second portion sandwiched between the back side and the facing portion, a third portion connecting the first portion and the second portion, and a fourth portion continuous with the second portion and disposed on the facing portion between the second elastic member and the heat dissipation member.

[0020] First Embodiment An electronic device according to a first embodiment of the present application will be described.

[0021] [Configuration of Electronic Device] Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an electronic device 100 according to this embodiment. The electronic device 100 is a smartphone, but may also be other electronic devices equipped with a camera, such as a tablet terminal or a portable game console. Fig. 1 shows the side of the electronic device 100 opposite the display. Hereinafter, this side will be referred to as the back side of the electronic device 100.

[0022] 1 , electronic device 100 has a main body 111 and a camera unit 112. Main body 111 occupies most of the back surface and is composed of an exterior panel, which will be described later. Camera unit 112 is provided on a part of the back surface and is equipped with two cameras 113, a flash 114, and a microphone 115. Note that the number of cameras 113 provided in camera unit 112 is not limited to two, and camera unit 112 may be any unit that includes at least one camera 113.

[0023] Fig. 2 is a plan view of the vicinity of the camera unit 112 of the electronic device 100. Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the vicinity, taken along line A-A in Fig. 2. Fig. 4 is a schematic exploded view showing a portion of the configuration of Fig. 3. As shown in these figures, the electronic device 100 includes a camera module 121, an exterior member 122, an elastic member 123, and a support member 124.

[0024] The camera module 121 is a module that constitutes the camera 113. Fig. 5 is a perspective view of the camera module 121. As shown in the drawing, the camera module 121 includes a main body 131, a lens barrel 132, and a yoke 133.

[0025] The main body 131 houses an imaging element (not shown) and captures an image of light incident thereon via an imaging optical system. The lens barrel 132 houses an imaging optical system such as a lens and focuses the incident light onto the imaging element. The yoke 133 surrounds the main body 131 and functions as a case for the main body 131. The yoke 133 has an opening 133a around the lens barrel 132, and the lens barrel 132 is exposed from the yoke 133 through the opening 133a.

[0026] 3, the exterior member 122 includes a frame 141, a display panel 142, an exterior panel 143, a camera ring 144, and a camera window 145. Hereinafter, the interior of the exterior member 122 will be referred to as the "interior of the device." The camera module 121 is housed within this interior of the device.

[0027] The frame 141 is a frame-shaped component that constitutes the side surface of the electronic device 100. The display panel 142 is bonded to the frame 141 and performs image display and touch detection. The exterior panel 143 is a panel bonded to the frame 141 on the opposite side of the display panel 142. An opening 143a is provided in the exterior panel 143.

[0028] The camera ring 144 is a member that surrounds the periphery of the camera 113, and is joined to the exterior panel 143, with a portion thereof exposed through an opening 143a. The camera ring 144 has an opening 144a and a mounting space 144b as shown in FIG.

[0029] The mounting space 144b is a space provided inside the device and is a space for mounting components. Components mounted in the mounting space 144b may be, for example, the flash 114 and microphone 115 shown in FIG. 2, or other components. The mounting space 144b may pass through the camera ring 144 as shown in FIG. 4, or may be a space provided only inside the device. The camera window 145 is optically transparent and is joined to the opening 144a.

[0030] The exterior member 122 has the above-described configuration. The exterior member 122 is not limited to the one shown here as long as it has the mounting space 144b. For example, the exterior member 122 may not include the camera ring 144, and the mounting space 144b may be provided in a member other than the camera ring 144.

[0031] As shown in FIG. 4 , the elastic member 123 is disposed on the yoke 133 around the opening 133 a. The elastic member 123 is an elastic member, such as a light-shielding cushion. The elastic member 123 is sandwiched between the support member 124 and the yoke 133 and compressed, thereby blocking light and dust between the support member 124 and the yoke 133. FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram showing the arrangement of the elastic member 123 relative to the camera module 121. As shown in the figure, the elastic member 123 is disposed on the yoke 133 around the opening 133 a. The material and size of the elastic member 123 are not particularly limited as long as they can block light and dust between the yoke 133 and the support member 124.

[0032] The support member 124 is a plate-like member disposed between the camera ring 144 and the elastic member 123. Fig. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the support member 124, and Fig. 8 is a cross-sectional view of the support member 124, the elastic member 123, and the adhesive layer 125. As shown in Fig. 7, the surface of the support member 124 facing the camera ring 144 is referred to as the front surface 124a, and the opposite surface facing the elastic member 123 is referred to as the back surface 124b.

[0033] As shown in Fig. 8, an adhesive layer 125 is formed on the front surface 124a, and the front surface 124a is adhered to the camera ring 144 by the adhesive layer 125. As shown in Fig. 8, an elastic member 123 is attached to the back surface 124b. Fig. 9 is a schematic diagram showing the arrangement of the support member 124 with respect to the camera module 121 and the elastic member 123. As shown in the figure, a portion of the support member 124 is located above the opening 133a. Note that, although the support member 124 is larger than the elastic member 123 in Fig. 9, the support member 124 does not necessarily have to be larger than the elastic member 123.

[0034] 10 and 11 are schematic diagrams showing the various parts of the support member 124. Note that FIG. 10 is a cross section taken along line B-B in FIG. 2, and FIG. 11 is a cross section taken along line A-A in FIG. 2. As shown in these figures, the support member 124 has a first portion 124c, a second portion 124d, and a third portion 124e. As shown in FIG. 10, the first portion 124c is a portion where the elastic member 123 is located between the back surface 124b and the yoke 133, and where the camera ring 144 is located on the front surface 124a side. The front surface 124a of the first portion 124c is adhered to the camera ring 144 by an adhesive layer 125.

[0035] 11, the second portion 124d is a portion where the elastic member 123 is located between the back surface 124b and the yoke 133, and the front surface 124a faces the mounting space 144b. Since components such as the flash 114 are mounted in the mounting space 144b, the second portion 124d may have these components in contact with or bonded to the front surface 124a.

[0036] 10 and 11, the third portion 124e has a back surface 124b facing the opening 133a and a front surface 124a on which the camera ring 144 is located. The front surface 124a of the third portion 124e is bonded to the camera ring 144 by the adhesive layer 125, as described above.

[0037] The support member 124 is preferably made of a material that does not have optical transparency so that light does not pass through the support member 124, and may be made of, for example, a colored resin. The thickness of the support member 124 is not particularly limited, but a thickness that does not cause deflection is preferable. If a gap occurs between the component mounted in the mounting space 144b and the support member 124, it is preferable to place a deflection prevention spacer in the gap that contacts the component and the support member 124.

[0038] The electronic device 100 has the above-described configuration. The electronic device 100 is not limited to the above-described configuration as long as the support member 124 has the first portion 124c, the second portion 124d, and the third portion 124e.

[0039] [Effects of Electronic Device] The effects of electronic device 100 will be described. For comparison, Fig. 12 is a schematic diagram of electronic device 500 having a conventional structure. Electronic device 500 includes camera module 501, camera ring 502, and elastic member 503. Elastic member 503 is disposed between yoke 504 of camera module 501 and camera ring 502.

[0040] In this configuration, no mounting space can be provided in the portion 502a of the camera ring 502 that contacts the elastic member 503, and the portion 502a becomes dead space. In particular, in recent years, the camera module 501 has become larger, and the layout area of the yoke 504 and the elastic member 503 has also expanded, so the dead space tends to increase.

[0041] 11, the electronic device 100 according to the present embodiment has a support member 124 provided between the elastic member 123 and the camera ring 144, thereby providing a mounting space 144b in the camera ring 144. This allows components to be mounted in the mounting space 144b, and components such as the flash 114 and microphone 115 can be arranged near the camera 113 as shown in FIG.

[0042] [Regarding Other Configurations of the Support Member] The support member 124 can also have the following configuration. Figure 13 is a cross-sectional view of the electronic device 100 in which the support member 124 has another configuration. The support member 124 is a metal plate, and is fixed to the inside of the electronic device 100 by a fixing member 126. The fixing member 126 is, for example, a screw. An elastic member 127 is disposed between the surface 124a (see Figure 10) of the third portion 124e of the support member 124 and the exterior member 122. Even with this configuration, it is possible to mount components in the mounting space 144b.

[0043] Second Embodiment An electronic device according to a second embodiment of the present application will be described.

[0044] [Configuration of Electronic Device] Fig. 14 is a perspective view of electronic device 200 according to this embodiment. Electronic device 200 is a smartphone, but may also be other electronic devices equipped with a camera, such as a tablet terminal or a portable game console. Fig. 14 shows the display side of electronic device 100. Hereinafter, this side will be referred to as the front surface of electronic device 200.

[0045] 14, the electronic device 200 has a display panel 211 and a speaker 212. The arrangement and number of the speakers 212 in the electronic device 200 are not particularly limited.

[0046] Fig. 15 is a cross-sectional view of the vicinity of speaker 212 in electronic device 200, taken along line CC in Fig. 14. Fig. 16 is a schematic exploded view showing a portion of the configuration of Fig. 15. As shown in these figures, electronic device 200 includes speaker module 221, outer peripheral member 222, heat dissipation member 223, elastic member 224, heat conduction sheet 225, and sealing member 226.

[0047] The speaker module 221 is a module equipped with a speaker. There are no particular limitations on the configuration. Hereinafter, one surface of the speaker module 221 will be referred to as a front surface 221a, and the surface opposite to the front surface 221a will be referred to as a back surface 221b.

[0048] The peripheral member 222 is a member located on the outer periphery of the speaker module 221, and has a first opposing portion 222a and a second opposing portion 222b. The first opposing portion 222a is a portion of the peripheral member 222 that faces the back surface 221b of the speaker module 221. Hereinafter, the surface of the first opposing portion 222a that faces the speaker module 221 will be referred to as the front surface 222c, and the surface on the opposite side will be referred to as the back surface 222d. The second opposing portion 222b is a portion of the peripheral member 222 that faces the front surface 221a of the speaker module 221, i.e., the portion that faces the speaker module 221 on the opposite side from the first opposing portion 222a.

[0049] The outer peripheral member 222 is box-shaped and forms an internal space S that houses the speaker module 221, as shown in Fig. 15. The internal space S is partitioned into a first space S1 and a second space S2 by the sealing member 226 and the speaker module 221. The second opposing portion 222b is provided with an opening 222e that connects the first space S1 with the external space, i.e., the space outside the outer peripheral member 222. The opening 222e is a sound hole through which sound emitted from the speaker module 221 passes.

[0050] The outer peripheral member 222 may be a member that configures the exterior of the electronic device 200, or may be a member housed inside the electronic device 200. For example, the first opposing portion 222a is a rear frame, and the second opposing portion 222b is a cover main.

[0051] The heat dissipation member 223 is disposed in the first opposing portion 222a and is a member that dissipates heat. The heat dissipation member 223 is made of a highly thermally conductive material such as metal. The heat dissipation member 223 may be a member dedicated to heat dissipation, or may be a member that performs heat dissipation and other functions. The heat dissipation member 223 penetrates the first opposing portion 222a and is exposed on the front surface 222c and the back surface 222d. The heat dissipation member 223 is disposed in a position separated from the speaker module 221 in the first opposing portion 222a, and more specifically, is disposed in a position where the speaker module 221 and the heat dissipation member 223 do not overlap when viewed from the back surface 222d.

[0052] The elastic member 224 is an elastic member that is disposed between the first opposing portion 222a and the speaker module 221 and presses the speaker module 221 toward the second opposing portion 222b, i.e., the side opposite the first opposing portion 222a. The elastic member 224 is, for example, a cushion. Figure 17 is a cross-sectional view of the elastic member 224. As shown in the figure, the side of the elastic member 224 facing the speaker module 221 is referred to as the front side 224a, and the side facing the first opposing portion 222a is referred to as the back side 224b.

[0053] The thermally conductive sheet 225 is a sheet made of a material with high thermal conductivity such as graphite, and conducts heat from the speaker module 221 to the heat dissipation member 223. Fig. 18 is a cross-sectional view of the thermally conductive sheet 225. As shown in the figure, the thermally conductive sheet 225 is wrapped around the elastic member 224 from the front side 224a to the back side 224b of the elastic member 224, and has a first portion 225a, a second portion 225b, a third portion 225c, and a fourth portion 225d.

[0054] The first portion 225a is a portion of the thermally conductive sheet 225 that is sandwiched between the front side 224a of the elastic member 224 and the speaker module 221. The second portion 225b is a portion that is sandwiched between the back side 224b of the elastic member 224 and the surface 222c of the first opposing portion 222a. The third portion 225c is a portion that connects the first portion 225a and the second portion 225b. The fourth portion 225d is continuous with the second portion 225b, is disposed on the surface 222c of the first opposing portion 222a between the elastic member 224 and the heat dissipation member 223, and is a portion that comes into contact with the heat dissipation member 223.

[0055] 15 , the sealing member 226 is disposed around the opening 222e provided in the second facing portion 222b between the second facing portion 222b and the surface 221a of the speaker module 221, and seals the space between the second facing portion 222b and the speaker module 221. As described above, the sealing member 226 divides the internal space S of the outer peripheral member 222 into a first space S1 and a second space S2. The sealing member 226 is a waterproof member such as waterproof adhesive paper.

[0056] The electronic device 200 has the above-described configuration. The electronic device 200 may have any configuration as long as the thermally conductive sheet 225 has the first portion 225a, the second portion 225b, the third portion 225c, and the fourth portion 225d as described above, and other configurations are not limited to those described above.

[0057] [Effects of Electronic Device] The effects of electronic device 200 will now be described. Fig. 19 is a schematic diagram showing the effects of electronic device 200. As indicated by the black arrow in the figure, in electronic device 200, elastic member 224 presses speaker module 221 toward second opposing portion 222b, and second opposing portion 222b and speaker module 221 sandwich sealing member 226, thereby sealing between first space S1 and second space S2. As a result, even if an impact such as a drop occurs, the seal provided by sealing member 226 is maintained, and the waterproof performance of electronic device 200 is maintained.

[0058] Heat generated in the speaker module 221 is conducted to the heat dissipation member 223 via the thermally conductive sheet 225 as indicated by the white arrows in the figure, and is dissipated from the heat dissipation member 223. Specifically, the heat generated in the speaker module 221 is transmitted to the heat dissipation member 223 via the first portion 225a, third portion 225c, second portion 225b, and fourth portion 225d shown in Figure 18 in this order.

[0059] 20 and 21 are schematic diagrams of an electronic device 600 having a conventional structure for comparison. As shown in Fig. 20, the electronic device 600 has a speaker module 602, an outer peripheral member 603, an elastic member 604, and a sealing member 605 that constitute a speaker 601. An opening 603a that is a sound hole is provided in the outer peripheral member 603. In this configuration, the elastic member 604 presses against the speaker module 602, causing the sealing member 605 to seal the first space S1.

[0060] Here, in order to improve the sound quality characteristics of the speaker 601, it is necessary to increase power consumption, which in turn increases the amount of heat generated. In response to this, as shown in Figure 21 , by wrapping a thermally conductive sheet 606 around an elastic member 604 and bringing the thermally conductive sheet 606 into contact with a heat dissipation member 607, heat dissipation from the heat dissipation member 607 is possible. However, the heat dissipation member 607 is made of metal, and its placement is subject to constraints such as antenna characteristics. When the heat dissipation member 607 is spaced apart from the speaker 601 as shown in Figure 21 , it is necessary to increase the sizes of the elastic member 604 and the thermally conductive sheet 606 so that the thermally conductive sheet 606 reaches the heat dissipation member 607.

[0061] However, in this case, the volume of the second space S2 decreases due to the increase in the size of the elastic member 604. The second space S2 is the back volume of the speaker 601, and a decrease in its volume reduces the sound quality characteristics. Therefore, even though power consumption is increased to improve the sound quality characteristics, the sound quality characteristics will also deteriorate due to the decrease in the back volume.

[0062] In contrast, in the electronic device 200 according to this embodiment, the fourth portion 225d (see FIG. 18) of the thermally conductive sheet 225 is provided between the elastic member 224 and the heat dissipation member 223, thereby preventing an increase in the size of the elastic member 224 and suppressing a decrease in the volume of the second space S2. Therefore, it is possible to prevent a decrease in sound quality due to a decrease in back volume while achieving an improvement in sound quality due to an increase in power consumption.

[0063] [Details of the Thermally Conductive Sheet] Details of the thermally conductive sheet 225 will be described. Fig. 22 is a cross-sectional view of the elastic member 224 and the thermally conductive sheet 225. Fig. 23 is an enlarged view of the box D in Fig. 22.

[0064] 23 , thermally conductive sheet 225 is configured by alternately laminating multiple graphite layers 231 and adhesive layers 232. Graphite layer 231 is made of graphite and has a thickness of, for example, 0.025 mm. Adhesive layer 232 is a layer in which adhesive material is laminated on both sides of a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) sheet and has a thickness of, for example, 0.005 mm. There is no particular limitation on the number of graphite layers 231 and adhesive layers 232.

[0065] 22, the first portion 225a, the second portion 225b, and the third portion 225c of the thermally conductive sheet 225 are adhered to the elastic member 224 by adhesive layers 233. The adhesive layers 233 are layers in which adhesive material is laminated on both sides of a PET sheet, and have a thickness of, for example, 0.02 mm.

[0066] The second portion 225b and the fourth portion 225d are adhered to the first opposing portion 222a by an adhesive layer 234. The adhesive layer 234 is a layer in which adhesive material is laminated on both sides of a PET sheet, and has a thickness of, for example, 0.05 mm.

[0067] Furthermore, the adhesive layer 233 on the fourth portion 225d is covered with a coating layer 235. The coating layer 235 is a layer in which an adhesive material is laminated on one side of a PET sheet, and has a thickness of, for example, 0.009 mm. The coating layer 235 can be formed from the first portion 225a to the fourth portion 225d; however, when the PET sheet that forms the coating layer 235 is attached, the elastic member 224 is compressed, and when the PET sheet returns to its original thickness, the graphite layer 231 on the fourth portion 225d may peel off. For this reason, it is preferable to provide the coating layer 235 only on the fourth portion 225d, as shown in FIG. 22 .

[0068] 23 , if the space between the tip of fourth portion 225 d and the tip of adhesive layer 234 is defined as pouch portion 236, then pouch width H of pouch portion 236 is preferably 1.5 mm. Increasing pouch width H improves the adhesive strength of pouch portion 236, making it possible to prevent peeling of graphite layer 231.

[0069] [Regarding the Peripheral Member] The electronic device 200 is not limited to the semi-box structure shown in Fig. 15, but may have a full box structure. Fig. 24 is a cross-sectional view of the electronic device 200 having a full box structure. As shown in the figure, the peripheral member 222 is box-shaped, and the electronic device 200 has an exterior member 251 on the outside of the peripheral member 222. The exterior member 251 is, for example, a cover main.

[0070] The exterior member 251 has an opening 251a that communicates with the first space S1 and serves as a sound hole. An elastic member 252 is disposed around the opening 251a between the exterior member 251 and the second opposing portion 222b. Even with this configuration, by providing the fourth portion 225d (see FIG. 18) of the thermal conduction sheet 225 between the elastic member 224 and the heat dissipation member 223, it is possible to suppress a decrease in the volume of the second space S2 caused by the elastic member 224 and prevent a deterioration in sound quality characteristics.

[0071] [Other Configurations of Electronic Devices] The configuration of the electronic device according to this embodiment can be combined with the configuration of the electronic device according to the first embodiment. Fig. 25 is a schematic diagram showing the configuration of an electronic device 300 combined with the configuration of the electronic device according to the first embodiment. In this figure, the configurations of the camera module 121, exterior member 122, elastic member 123, and support member 124 are the same as those of the first embodiment.

[0072] The elastic member 224 is disposed between the first opposing portion 222a and the camera module 121 and presses the camera module 121 toward the opposite side from the first opposing portion 222a. As shown in Fig. 25, the thermally conductive sheet 225 is wrapped around the elastic member 224 and has a first portion 225a, a second portion 225b, a third portion 225c, and a fourth portion 225d (see Fig. 18). Even in this configuration, the thermally conductive sheet 225 can transfer heat emitted from the camera module 121 to the heat dissipation member 223. Furthermore, an increase in the size of the elastic member 224 can be prevented, and a decrease in the volume of the internal space S can be suppressed.
