Abstract
Description
Harness fixing parts
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a harness fixing component.
[0002] Conventionally, a universal serial bus (USB) cable is known as a wire harness for electrically connecting electronic devices. In this type of wire harness, a connector such as a USB connector provided at the end of an electric wire is inserted into a mating connector provided in the electronic device.
[0003] Furthermore, a disconnection prevention device has been proposed that prevents a connector of a wire harness from coming loose from a mating connector when an external force is unintentionally applied to the wires of the wire harness (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The disconnection prevention device is provided on the housing of an electronic device and in the vicinity of the mating connector. The disconnection prevention device guides the wires extending from the connector inserted into the mating connector so as to bend in a removal direction in which the connector is removed from the mating connector. By providing such a disconnection prevention device, it is possible to prevent a force in the removal direction from being applied to the connector even if the wires are pulled in the removal direction at a position away from the electronic device. This makes it possible to prevent the connector from coming loose from the mating connector.
[0004] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-274559
[0005] However, if the wire extending between the connector and the disconnection prevention device is caught on something and the wire is unintentionally pulled in the direction of disconnection, the connector may become disconnected from the mating connector.
[0006] An object of the present disclosure is to provide a harness fastening component that can prevent a connector from coming loose.
[0007] The harness fixing part of the present disclosure is a harness fixing part that fixes a wire harness connected to an electronic device to the electronic device, wherein the wire harness has a connector connected to the electronic device and electric wires drawn out from the connector, and the harness fixing part includes a holder and a hollow screw, the holder has a screw mounting portion having a threaded groove into which the hollow screw screws, and a fixing portion that is fixed to the electronic device, and the hollow screw has a hollow portion through which the electric wires are passed and an abutment portion that abuts against the wire harness in the direction of connection to the electronic device.
[0008] According to the harness fastening component of the present disclosure, it is possible to prevent the connector from coming loose.

[0010] [Description of Embodiments of the Present Disclosure] First, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below. A harness fixing component of the present disclosure includes: [1] a harness fixing component for fixing a wire harness connected to an electronic device to the electronic device, the wire harness having a connector connected to the electronic device and electric wires drawn out from the connector, the harness fixing component including a holder and a hollow screw, the holder having a screw mounting portion having a thread groove into which the hollow screw screws, and a fixing portion fixed to the electronic device, the hollow screw having a hollow portion through which the electric wires are passed, and an abutting portion abutting against the wire harness in a connection direction to the electronic device.
[0011] According to this configuration, the abutment portion of the hollow screw attached to the holder can press the wire harness in the direction of connection to the electronic device, thereby making it possible for the harness fixing component to prevent the connector connected to the electronic device from coming loose.
[0012] [2] In the above [1], the abutting portion may be configured to abut against the connector of the wire harness in the connection direction. With this configuration, the abutting portion of the hollow screw abuts against the connector of the wire harness, so that the abutting portion can press the connector in the connection direction to the electronic device. As a result, it is possible to preferably prevent the connector connected to the electronic device from coming loose.
[0013] [3] In the above [2], the connector may have a housing and a plug protruding from the tip of the housing, the electric wire is pulled out from the base end of the housing, and the abutment portion may abut against the base end of the housing in the connection direction.
[0014] With this configuration, the abutment portion of the hollow screw abuts against the base end of the connector housing, so that the abutment portion can effectively press the connector in the direction of connection to the electronic device, thereby more effectively preventing the connector from coming loose when connected to the electronic device.
[0015] [4] In any of the above [1] to [3], the hollow screw may have a first division and a second division, and the hollow screw may be formed into a cylindrical shape that surrounds the outer periphery of the electric wire by combining the first division and the second division.
[0016] According to this configuration, when the first and second divisional bodies are joined together, the wires of the wire harness are placed between them, making it possible to place the wires inside the hollow portion of the hollow screw.
[0017] [5] In the above [4], the hollow screw has a threaded portion that screws into the screw groove and a handle portion whose size in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the hollow screw is larger than that of the threaded portion, the first divided body has a first divided handle portion, and the second divided body has a second divided handle portion, and the handle portions may be formed by combining the first divided handle portion and the second divided handle portion.
[0018] With this configuration, since the hollow screw has a handle portion, it is possible to improve the workability when threading the thread portion of the hollow screw into the thread groove of the holder. In addition, since the handle portion is formed by combining the first divided handle portion of the first segment and the second divided handle portion of the second segment, it is possible to easily maintain the combined state of the first segment and the second segment.
[0019] [6] In any of the above [1] to [3], the hollow screw has a first end and a second end which are both ends in the axial direction of the hollow screw, an inner circumferential surface which forms the hollow portion, an outer circumferential surface which screws into the screw groove, and a slit which penetrates from the outer circumferential surface to the inner circumferential surface, and the slit may extend from the first end to the second end.
[0020] According to this configuration, it is possible to arrange electric wires of a wire harness in the hollow portion of the hollow screw through the slit. [7] In the above [6], the slit may extend in a serpentine manner from the first end to the second end of the hollow screw.
[0021] According to this configuration, the slit extends in a serpentine manner from the first end to the second end of the hollow screw, making it possible to prevent the wires of the wire harness from slipping out of the hollow portion through the slit.
[0022] [8] In the above [6], the slit may extend spirally from the first end to the second end of the hollow screw. With this configuration, since the slit extends spirally from the first end to the second end of the hollow screw, it is possible to prevent the electric wires of the wire harness from slipping out of the hollow portion through the slit.
[0023] [9] In any of the above [1] to [8], the fixing portion may be a locking claw that locks onto a locking portion provided on the electronic device. With this configuration, the holder can be fixed to the electronic device by the locking claw.
[0024] [Details of Embodiments of the Present Disclosure] Specific examples of the harness fastening component of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the drawings. For ease of explanation, some components may be exaggerated or simplified in the drawings. The dimensional ratios of the components may differ between the drawings. In this specification, "facing" refers to surfaces or components facing each other, and includes not only cases where the surfaces or components face each other completely, but also cases where the surfaces or components face each other partially. Furthermore, in this specification, "opposing" includes both cases where a separate member is interposed between two parts and cases where nothing is interposed between the two parts. Furthermore, terms such as "first," "second," and "third" are used in this specification merely to distinguish between objects and not to rank the objects. The present invention is not limited to these examples, but is defined by the claims, and all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims are intended to be included.
[0025] As shown in Fig. 1, the harness fixing component 10 is a component for fixing a wire harness 11 connected to an electronic device Ed to the electronic device Ed. The wire harness 11 electrically connects two or more electronic devices. The wire harness 11 is connected to the electronic device Ed. The electronic device Ed is, for example, an in-vehicle device mounted on a vehicle. Examples of the electronic device Ed include an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and an in-vehicle camera connected to the ECU.
[0026] 1 to 3 illustrate mutually orthogonal X-, Y-, and Z-axes. When describing the positional relationship between the components of the harness fastening part 10 and the wire harness 11, one direction in the X-axis direction along the X-axis will be referred to as the first direction X1, and the opposite direction of the first direction X1 will be referred to as the first opposite direction X2. Furthermore, the direction toward the right in FIG. 1 in the Y-axis direction that is orthogonal to the X-axis direction will be referred to as the second direction Y1, and the opposite direction of the second direction Y1 will be referred to as the second opposite direction Y2. Furthermore, the direction toward the upward direction in FIG. 1 in the Z-axis direction that is orthogonal to both the X-axis and Y-axis directions will be referred to as the third direction Z1, and the opposite direction of the third direction Z1 will be referred to as the third opposite direction Z2.
[0027] (Configuration of Wire Harness 11) As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the wire harness 11 includes electric wires 12 and connectors 13 attached to longitudinal ends of the electric wires 12. The connectors 13 are connected to an electronic device Ed. The connectors 13 are connected to ends of the electric wires 12 in the first direction X1. In the wire harness 11, for example, the electric wires 12 and the connectors 13 are integrally formed so as not to be detachable. The connectors 13 are, for example, USB (Universal Serial Bus) connectors. The wire harness 11 is, for example, a USB cable. The electric wires 12 in the wire harness 11 have a structure in which a plurality of coated electric wires are coated with an insulating sheath, for example.
[0028] (Configuration of Connector 13) The connector 13 has a housing 14 and a plug 15 protruding from the housing 14. The housing 14 is formed, for example, from an insulating synthetic resin. The housing 14 is formed, for example, by molding.
[0029] The housing 14 has a tip end 14a and a base end 14b, which are opposite ends in the X-axis direction of the housing 14. For example, the housing 14 has a flat shape in plan view seen from the first direction X1 that is shorter in the Z-axis direction than in the Y-axis direction.
[0030] The plug 15 is provided at the tip of the connector 13 in a state where it is exposed from the housing 14. A part of the plug 15, i.e., the end of the plug 15 in the first direction X1, protrudes from the tip 14a of the housing 14 in the first direction X1.
[0031] The electric wire 12 is drawn out in the first opposite direction X2 from the base end 14b of the housing 14. The size of the housing 14 in a direction perpendicular to the X-axis direction, for example, in the Y-axis direction, is set to be larger than the diameter of the electric wire 12. The electric wire 12 is drawn out from the center of the housing 14 in the Y-axis direction at the base end 14b of the housing 14. Furthermore, the size of the housing 14 in a direction perpendicular to the X-axis direction, for example, in the Z-axis direction, is set to be larger than the diameter of the electric wire 12.
[0032] The plug 15 of the connector 13 is inserted into a mating connector Ed1 provided in the electronic device Ed along a connection direction D1. The protruding direction of the plug 15 protruding from the housing 14 coincides with the connection direction D1. The mating connector Ed1 is, for example, a female connector. The mating connector Ed1 is, for example, a USB connector. In this embodiment, the connection direction D1 of the connector 13 with respect to the mating connector Ed1 coincides with the first direction X1. In the following description, the direction in which the connector 13 is removed from the mating connector Ed1 is referred to as a removal direction D2. The removal direction D2 is the opposite direction to the connection direction D1. In this embodiment, the removal direction D2 coincides with the first opposite direction X2.
[0033] The plug 15 of the connector 13 is formed, for example, in a cylindrical shape. For example, the plug 15 has a flat shape in plan view when viewed from the first direction X1, which is shorter in the Z-axis direction than in the Y-axis direction. A terminal (not shown) electrically connected to the electric wire 12 is provided inside the plug 15. When the plug 15 is inserted into the mating connector Ed1 of the electronic device Ed, electrical conduction is established between the connector 13 and the electronic device Ed.
[0034] 1 and 3, the harness fastening component 10 includes a holder 20 and a hollow screw 30. The holder 20 and the hollow screw 30 are each formed of, for example, an insulating synthetic resin.
[0035] (Configuration of holder 20) As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the holder 20 has a screw mounting portion 21 to which the hollow screw 30 is attached, a pair of support portions 22 each extending in the first direction X1 from the screw mounting portion 21, and locking claws 23 as fixing portions provided on each of the pair of support portions 22.
[0036] The screw mounting portion 21 has a threaded hole 24 that penetrates the screw mounting portion 21 along the X-axis direction. The axis of the threaded hole 24 is, for example, along the X-axis direction. The threaded hole 24 has a thread groove 25 on its inner circumferential surface into which the hollow screw 30 screws.
[0037] 2 , the screw mounting portion 21 has a wire mounting opening 26 that opens in, for example, the third direction Z1. The wire mounting opening 26 penetrates, for example, from the inner peripheral surface of the screw hole 24 to the end face of the screw mounting portion 21 in the third direction Z1. That is, the wires 12 of the wire harness 11 can be placed in the screw hole 24 through the wire mounting opening 26.
[0038] The pair of support portions 22 of the holder 20 extend in the first direction X1 from both ends in the Y-axis direction, for example. In the following description, the end of each support portion 22 in the first opposite direction X2 that connects to the screw mounting portion 21 will be referred to as the base end, and the end in the first direction X1 that is the end opposite to the base end will be referred to as the tip end. Each support portion 22 has, for example, a flat plate shape that is perpendicular to the Y-axis direction. The pair of support portions 22 are arranged to face each other in the Y-axis direction, for example. The support portions 22 can bend, for example, in directions in which their tip ends approach each other.
[0039] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 , a locking claw 23 is provided at the tip of each support portion 22. The locking claws 23 extend outward in the Y-axis direction from the tip of the support portion 22, i.e., in directions away from each other. The housing of the electronic device Ed is provided with a pair of latched portions Ed2 to which the pair of locking claws 23 are latched. The pair of locking claws 23 are provided, for example, on both sides of the mating connector Ed1 in the Y-axis direction. Each locking claw 23 of the holder 20 is configured to latch onto the corresponding latched portion Ed2 in the removal direction D2 (first opposite direction X2). The locking claws 23 latch onto the corresponding latched portion Ed2 in the removal direction D2, thereby fixing the holder 20 to the housing of the electronic device Ed. Note that each latched portion Ed2 may be formed directly on the housing main body that houses internal components of the electronic device Ed, or may be formed on a bracket or the like that is attached to the housing main body and forms part of the housing of the electronic device Ed.
[0040] (Configuration of the hollow screw 30) As shown in Figures 1 and 3, the hollow screw 30 has a hollow portion 31 through which the electric wires 12 of the wire harness 11 are passed. The hollow screw 30 has an axis L1 along the X-axis direction. The hollow portion 31 passes through the center of the hollow screw 30 along the axis L1. The hollow portion 31 gives the hollow screw 30 a cylindrical shape. The cross-sectional shape of the hollow portion 31, i.e., the cross-sectional shape perpendicular to the axis L1, is, for example, circular. Furthermore, the cross-sectional shape of the hollow portion 31 is, for example, uniform throughout the entire hollow screw 30 in the direction of the axis L1. The electric wires 12 are passed through the hollow portion 31 along the axis L1.
[0041] The hollow screw 30 has a threaded portion 32 and a handle portion 33. The threaded portion 32 is cylindrical with an internal hollow portion 31. The outer peripheral surface of the threaded portion 32 has threads that screw into the thread groove 25 of the holder 20. By screwing the threads on the outer peripheral surface of the threaded portion 32 into the thread groove 25, the threaded portion 32 is held in the screw mounting portion 21 while inserted into the screw hole 24.
[0042] The end of the threaded portion 32 in the first direction X1 is defined as the distal end of the threaded portion 32. The end of the threaded portion 32 opposite to the distal end, i.e., the end of the threaded portion 32 in the first opposite direction X2, is defined as the proximal end of the threaded portion 32. The handle portion 33 is provided at the proximal end of the threaded portion 32. The handle portion 33 is formed so that its size in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the hollow screw 30 is larger than that of the threaded portion 32. More specifically, the dimension from the axis L1 to the outer peripheral surface of the handle portion 33 is set to be larger than the outer diameter (radius) of the threaded portion 32 over the entire circumference of the handle portion 33. The hollow portion 31 is formed to penetrate the threaded portion 32 and the handle portion 33 along the axis L1 direction.
[0043] The hollow screw 30 has an abutment portion 34 that can abut against the connector 13 of the wire harness 11 in the connection direction D1. In the hollow screw 30 of this embodiment, the abutment portion 34 is the tip end of the threaded portion 32 in the first direction X1. The abutment portion 34 is configured to be able to abut against, for example, the base end 14b of the housing 14 of the connector 13 in the connection direction D1. More specifically, by threading the hollow screw 30 into the screw hole 24 in the connection direction D1, the abutment portion 34 is displaced in the connection direction D1. As a result, when the connector 13 is connected to the mating connector Ed1 of the electronic device Ed, the abutment portion 34 abuts against the base end 14b of the housing 14 in the connection direction D1.
[0044] (Divided Structure of the Hollow Screw 30) As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 , the hollow screw 30 has, for example, a first segment 41 and a second segment 42. More specifically, the hollow screw 30, including the threaded portion 32 and the handle portion 33, is configured such that the entire screw is divided into two segments, for example, by a plane parallel to and passing through the axis L1. One of the segments is the first segment 41, and the other segment is the second segment 42. The boundary between the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 extends from the end of the hollow screw 30 in the first direction X1 to the end in the first opposite direction X2. The hollow screw 30 is formed into a cylindrical shape that surrounds the outer periphery of the electric wire 12 by combining the first segment 41 and the second segment 42. In the hollow screw 30 of this embodiment, for example, the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 are separate segments.
[0045] The first divided body 41 has a first accommodating groove 41a extending along the axis L1. The first accommodating groove 41a is formed over the entire first divided body 41 in the X-axis direction. The second divided body 42 has a second accommodating groove 42a extending along the axis L1. The second accommodating groove 42a is formed over the entire second divided body 42 in the X-axis direction. The hollow portion 31 is formed by combining the first accommodating groove 41a and the second accommodating groove 42a. The threaded portion 32 is formed by combining a portion of the first divided body 41 and a portion of the second divided body 42.
[0046] The first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42 are combined together by overlapping the first accommodating groove 41 a and the second accommodating groove 42 a. The first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42 are combined together with the electric wires 12 of the wire harness 11 sandwiched between the first accommodating groove 41 a and the second accommodating groove 42 a. When the first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42 are combined together, the electric wires 12 are accommodated in the hollow portion 31 formed by the first accommodating groove 41 a and the second accommodating groove 42 a.
[0047] The first divided body 41 has a first divided handle portion 41b. The second divided body 42 has a second divided handle portion 42b. The handle portion 33 is formed by combining the first divided handle portion 41b and the second divided handle portion 42b. This makes it easier to maintain the combined state of the first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42.
[0048] Next, the assembly of the harness fastening part 10 will be described along with the operation of this embodiment. For example, first, the connector 13 of the wire harness 11 is inserted into the mating connector Ed1 of the electronic device Ed along the connection direction D1. Then, with the connector 13 connected to the mating connector Ed1, the holder 20 of the harness fastening part 10 is attached to the electronic device Ed. At this time, for example, the locking claws 23 are inserted into the electronic device Ed while the support portions 22 are bent toward each other, and then the shape of each support portion 22 is restored by its own elasticity. This allows the locking claws 23 to be hooked onto the locked portions Ed2 in the removal direction D2. Furthermore, before or after the holder 20 is fixed to the electronic device Ed, the electric wires 12 are inserted into the screw holes 24 through the electric wire attachment openings 26 of the holder 20.
[0049] Next, the hollow screw 30 with the electric wire 12 passing through the hollow portion 31 is inserted into the screw hole 24. When arranging the electric wire 12 in the hollow portion 31, the first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42 are joined together by inserting the electric wire 12 between the first accommodating groove 41a and the second accommodating groove 42a. When inserting the hollow screw 30 into the screw hole 24, an operator holds the handle 33, for example, and screws the threaded portion 32 of the hollow screw 30 into the screw hole 24 in the connecting direction D1. This displaces the abutting portion 34, which is the tip of the threaded portion 32 in the connecting direction D1, toward the connecting direction D1. The hollow screw 30 is then tightened until the abutting portion 34 abuts against the base end 14b of the housing 14 in the connecting direction D1. As a result, the abutting portion 34 of the hollow screw 30 presses the connector 13 toward the mating connector Ed1 of the electronic device Ed in the connecting direction D1.
[0050] The wire harness 11 electrically connects, for example, the electronic device Ed and a second on-board device (not shown). When the electronic device Ed is an ECU, the second on-board device is, for example, an electrical device such as an on-board camera. In the wire harness 11, for example, a connector similar to the connector 13 may be provided at the end opposite to the connector 13, and this connector may be connected to the second on-board device. In this case, the harness fastening part 10 may also be attached to the connector connected to the second on-board device.
[0051] The effects of this embodiment will be described. (1) The holder 20 in the harness fixing part 10 has a screw mounting portion 21 with a thread groove 25 into which the hollow screw 30 screws, and a locking claw 23 as a fixing portion fixed to the electronic device Ed. The hollow screw 30 has a hollow portion 31 through which the electric wire 12 passes and an abutting portion 34 that abuts against the wire harness 11 in the connection direction D1 to the electronic device Ed. With this configuration, the abutting portion 34 of the hollow screw 30 attached to the holder 20 can press the wire harness 11 in the connection direction D1 to the electronic device Ed. This makes it possible for the harness fixing part 10 to prevent the connector 13 connected to the electronic device Ed from coming loose. Furthermore, because the abutting portion 34 that abuts against the wire harness 11 is provided on the hollow screw 30, the position of the abutting portion 34 in the connection direction D1 can be adjusted by adjusting the tightening of the hollow screw 30 relative to the holder 20. Therefore, it is possible to accommodate various wire harnesses 11 having different sizes of connectors 13 in the connection direction D1 without changing the design of the holder 20, such as changing the length of each support portion 22. Therefore, it is possible to realize a harness fastening component 10 with excellent versatility.
[0052] Furthermore, the electric wires 12 of the wire harness 11 pass through the hollow portion 31 of the hollow screw 30 attached to the screw attachment portion 21 of the holder 20. That is, the hollow screw 30 restricts movement of the electric wires 12 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction). As a result, when the electric wires 12 are subjected to an external force in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction), the electric wires 12 are caught on the hollow screw 30, which makes it possible to more effectively prevent the connector 13 from coming loose.
[0053] (2) The abutting portion 34 is configured to abut against the connector 13 of the wire harness 11 in the connection direction D1. With this configuration, the abutting portion 34 of the hollow screw 30 abuts against the connector 13 of the wire harness 11, and the abutting portion 34 can press the connector 13 in the connection direction D1 to the electronic device Ed. As a result, it is possible to suitably prevent the connector 13 connected to the electronic device Ed from coming loose.
[0054] (3) The connector 13 includes a housing 14 and a plug 15 protruding from a tip 14a of the housing 14. The electric wire 12 is drawn out from a base end 14b of the housing 14 and passes through a hollow portion 31 in the hollow screw 30. The abutting portion 34 is configured to abut against the base end 14b of the housing 14 in the connection direction D1. With this configuration, the abutting portion 34 of the hollow screw 30 abuts against the base end 14b of the housing 14 of the connector 13, and the abutting portion 34 can effectively press the connector 13 in the connection direction D1 to the electronic device Ed. As a result, it is possible to more effectively prevent the connector 13 from coming loose when connected to the electronic device Ed.
[0055] (4) The hollow screw 30 has a first divided body 41 and a second divided body 42. The hollow screw 30 is formed into a cylindrical shape that surrounds the outer periphery of the electric wire 12 by combining the first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42. According to this configuration, by placing the electric wire 12 of the wire harness 11 between the first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42 when they are combined, it is possible to place the electric wire 12 inside the hollow portion 31 of the hollow screw 30.
[0056] (5) The hollow screw 30 has a threaded portion 32 that threads into the thread groove 25 and a handle portion 33 that is larger than the threaded portion 32 in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the hollow screw 30. The first divided body 41 has a first divided handle portion 41b. The second divided body 42 has a second divided handle portion 42b. The handle portion 33 is formed by combining the first divided handle portion 41b and the second divided handle portion 42b. With this configuration, since the hollow screw 30 has the handle portion 33, it is possible to improve the workability when threading the threaded portion 32 of the hollow screw 30 into the thread groove 25 of the holder 20. Furthermore, since the handle portion 33 is formed by combining the first divided handle portion 41b of the first divided body 41 and the second divided handle portion 42b of the second divided body 42, it is possible to easily maintain the first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42 in an assembled state.
[0057] (6) The fixing portion of the holder 20 that is fixed to the electronic device Ed is the locking claw 23 that locks onto the locking portion Ed2 provided on the electronic device Ed. With this configuration, the holder 20 can be fixed to the electronic device Ed by the locking claw 23.
[0058] (Other Embodiments) The above embodiment can be modified as follows: The above embodiment and the following modifications can be combined with each other within the scope of technical compatibility.
[0059] The structure of the hollow screw 30 in the harness fixing component 10 of the above embodiment can be modified as appropriate. For example, the hollow screw 30 in the above embodiment may be replaced with a hollow screw 50a shown in FIG. 4 . The hollow screw 50a has, for example, a cylindrical shape with an axis L1. The hollow screw 50a has a first end 51 and a second end 52, which are opposite ends of the hollow screw 50a in the direction of the axis L1, and a hollow portion 53 that penetrates the hollow screw 50a from the first end 51 to the second end 52. The hollow screw 50a also has an inner circumferential surface 54 that forms the hollow portion 53, an outer circumferential surface 55 that threads into the thread groove 25 of the holder 20, and a serpentine slit 56 that penetrates from the outer circumferential surface 55 to the inner circumferential surface 54 of the hollow screw 50a. A thread that threads into the thread groove 25 is formed on the outer circumferential surface 55 of the hollow screw 50a. The serpentine slit 56 is a slit that connects the outer periphery of the hollow screw 50 a to the hollow portion 53 .
[0060] The serpentine slit 56 extends in a serpentine manner, for example, from the first end 51 to the second end 52 of the hollow screw 50a. More specifically, the serpentine slit 56 has, for example, a first portion 56a, a second portion 56b, and a direction change portion 56c. The first portion 56a displaces counterclockwise as it moves from the first end 51 to the second end 52. The direction change portion 56c is provided in the serpentine slit 56 between the first portion 56a and the second portion 56b. The direction of circumferential displacement in the serpentine slit 56 changes at the direction change portion 56c. In other words, the direction of circumferential displacement of the second portion 56b is reversed relative to the first portion 56a. The second portion 56b extends from the direction change portion 56c to the second end 52 of the hollow screw 50a while displacing clockwise. Although the serpentine slit 56 has one each of the first portion 56a, the second portion 56b, and the direction change portion 56c, this is not limited thereto, and the slit may have two or more each of the first portion 56a, the second portion 56b, and the direction change portion 56c.
[0061] The hollow screw 50a is threaded into the threaded hole 24 of the holder 20 so that its axis L1 is aligned with the connecting direction D1 (see FIGS. 2 and 3). The first end 51 or the second end 52 of the hollow screw 50a abuts against the base end 14b of the housing 14 of the connector 13 in the connecting direction D1. That is, the first end 51 or the second end 52 of the hollow screw 50a is an abutting portion that can abut against the wire harness 11 in the connecting direction D1.
[0062] According to the hollow screw 50a shown in Fig. 4, the electric wires 12 of the wire harness 11 can be placed in the hollow portion 53 of the hollow screw 50a through the serpentine slit 56. Furthermore, since the serpentine slit 56 extends in a serpentine manner from the first end 51 to the second end 52 of the hollow screw 50a, it is possible to prevent the electric wires 12 of the wire harness 11 from slipping out of the hollow portion 53 through the serpentine slit 56. Note that in the hollow screw 50a shown in Fig. 4, instead of the serpentine slit 56, a slit extending linearly from the first end 51 to the second end 52, for example, along the axis L1, may be provided.
[0063] The hollow screw 30 in the above embodiment may be replaced with, for example, a hollow screw 50b shown in FIG. 5 . In the hollow screw 50b shown in FIG. 5 , components similar to those of the hollow screw 50a shown in FIG. 4 are designated by the same reference numerals as in FIG. 4 , and detailed descriptions thereof will be omitted. The hollow screw 50b has a first end 51, a second end 52, a hollow portion 53, an inner circumferential surface 54, and an outer circumferential surface 55. The hollow screw 50b has a helical slit 57 extending helically from the first end 51 to the second end 52. The helical slit 57 connects the outer periphery of the hollow screw 50b to the hollow portion 53. This allows the electric wires 12 of the wire harness 11 to be placed in the hollow portion 53 of the hollow screw 50b through the helical slit 57. The hollow screw 50b is threaded into the threaded hole 24 of the holder 20 with its axis L1 aligned along the connection direction D1 (see FIGS. 2 and 3 ). The first end 51 or the second end 52 of the hollow screw 50b abuts against the base end 14b of the housing 14 of the connector 13 in the connecting direction D1. That is, the first end 51 or the second end 52 of the hollow screw 50b is an abutting portion that can abut against the wire harness 11 in the connecting direction D1. According to the configuration shown in Fig. 5, the spiral slit 57 extends spirally from the first end 51 to the second end 52 of the hollow screw 50b, making it possible to prevent the electric wires 12 of the wire harness 11 from slipping out of the hollow portion 53 through the spiral slit 57.
[0064] In the hollow screw 30 of the above embodiment, the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 may be partially connected. For example, the hollow screw 30 may include a hinge portion connecting the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 in the handle portion 33 or the like. In this case, for example, the entire hollow screw 30, including the first segment 41, the second segment 42, and the hinge portion, may be integrally formed. Forming the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 integrally can contribute to improving the ease of installation of the hollow screw 30. Furthermore, the hollow screw 30 of the above embodiment may have a connecting portion connecting the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 to maintain the combined state of the first segment 41 and the second segment 42. The connecting portion is provided in, for example, the handle portion 33 of the hollow screw 30. The connecting portion connects the first divided handle portion 41b and the second divided handle portion 42b to maintain the combined state of the first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42. With this configuration, the combined state of the first divided body 41 and the second divided body 42 is maintained by the connecting portion, which contributes to improving the ease of installation of the hollow screw 30.
[0065] In the above embodiment, the portion of the wire harness 11 where the abutment portion 34 of the hollow screw 30 abuts in the connection direction D1 is not limited to the base end 14b of the housing 14, but may be a portion of the wire harness 11 other than the base end 14b of the housing 14.
[0066] The manner in which the locking claws 23 are attached to the electronic device Ed in the above embodiment is not limited to the above embodiment. For example, after the locking claws 23 are inserted into the electronic device Ed, the entire holder 20 may be slid in the Z-axis direction so that the locking claws 23 are caught on the corresponding locked portions Ed2 in the removal direction D2.
[0067] In the above embodiment, the holder 20 is fixed to the electronic device Ed by engaging the locking claws 23 of the holder 20 with the locking portions Ed2 of the electronic device Ed, but the manner in which the holder 20 is fixed to the electronic device Ed is not limited to the above embodiment. For example, the fixing portions provided at the tip ends of the support portions 22 in the first direction X1 may be fixed to the housing of the electronic device Ed with double-sided tape or the like.
[0068] In the holder 20 of the above embodiment, the cross-sectional shape of the hollow portion 31 may be, for example, elliptical or polygonal other than circular. In the harness fastening component 10 of the above embodiment, the holder 20 and the hollow screw 30 may each be made of a conductor such as metal.
[0069] In the above embodiment, the connector 13 of the wire harness 11 may be connected to the mating connector Ed1 of the electronic device Ed after the holder 20 of the harness fastening part 10 is attached to the electronic device Ed.
[0070] The structure of the wire harness 11 in the above embodiment may be modified as appropriate. For example, the wire harness 11 may include a boot portion, which is more flexible and pliable than the housing 14, at a location at the base end 14b of the housing 14 where the electric wires 12 are pulled out. The boot portion may be, for example, tubular and penetrates the longitudinal ends of the electric wires 12. The boot portion may cover the entire outer periphery of the electric wires 12 in the circumferential direction. Examples of the boot portion include a strain relief for reducing stress applied to the electric wires 12. When the wire harness 11 includes the boot portion described above, a portion of the wire harness 11 including the boot portion may be disposed within the hollow portion 31 of the hollow screw 30. When the wire harness 11 includes the boot portion described above, the abutting portion 34 of the hollow screw 30 may abut against the boot portion of the wire harness 11 in the connection direction D1.
[0071] The wire harness 11 is not limited to a USB cable and may be a cable having specifications other than a USB cable. For example, the wire harness 11 may be an HDMI (registered trademark) cable.
[0072] In the illustrated non-limiting embodiment, the holder 20 is detachably fixed to the electronic device Ed by non-rotationally engaging with the connector mounting surface of the electronic device Ed, the connector 13 is linearly attached or connected to the connector mounting surface of the electronic device Ed in the connection direction D1, and the hollow screw 30 is threadedly engaged with the holder 20 in a rotational manner, such that the tip (abutment portion 34) of the hollow screw 30 and the connector mounting surface of the electronic device Ed securely sandwich the connector 13 therebetween in the longitudinal direction. The electric wire 12 passes through the entire length of the hollow screw 30. With this configuration, the hollow screw 30 can act as a strain relief for the electric wire 12, preventing sharp bending of the electric wire 12 at or near the base end 14b of the housing of the connector 13.
[0073] 3 , the hollow portion 31 of the hollow screw 30 may be configured so that the hollow screw 30 can rotate independently of the electric wire 12 when the electric wire 12 passes through the hollow screw 30. For example, the inner diameter of the hollow portion 31 of the hollow screw 30 may be larger than the diameter of the electric wire 12. With this configuration, when attaching and detaching the hollow screw 30 to and from the holder 20, the hollow screw 30 and the electric wire 12 are less likely to rotate together, and twisting of the electric wire 12 can be suppressed.
[0074] As shown in FIG. 2 , the illustrated non-limiting embodiment includes a wire harness 11 having a connector 13 and electric wires 12, a connector mounting surface including an engaging portion Ed2 of an electronic device Ed and a mating connector Ed1, a holder 20 that is detachably fixed to the connector mounting surface by engaging with the engaging portion Ed2 of the connector mounting surface in a non-rotational manner, and a hollow screw 30 that can be threaded onto the holder 20 and is configured to rotate independently of the electric wires 12 when the connector 13 is coupled to the mating connector Ed1 and the electric wires 12 pass through the hollow screw 30. This combination is sometimes referred to as a connector slippage prevention structure.
[0075] The embodiments disclosed herein are illustrative in all respects, and the present invention is not limited to these examples. That is, the scope of the present invention is defined by the claims, and it is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims.
