Description

Packaging film for lid of food container that is easy to recycle and manufacturing method thereof

[0001] The present invention relates to a packaging film for a lid of a food container that is easy to recycle, and more particularly, to a packaging film for a lid of a food container that is easy to recycle because it is composed of only a single material, synthetic resin, while having excellent sealing power and not easily tearing, and a method for manufacturing the same.

[0002] Conventionally, various food containers made of plastic, such as yogurt or cafe latte containers, are covered with a packaging film containing aluminum foil on the upper surface.

[0003] These packaging films are made by overlapping multiple layers of film for printing on the surface layer of the film, and ultimately by laminating a thin aluminum foil to prevent it from affecting the food in the storage.

[0004] However, the above lid film has very poor printability, elongation, strength, and impact on food, and since the film itself is a mixture of synthetic resin and metal, when recycling an empty container after use, the lid film attached to the container must be removed one by one and then melted, which causes many problems in labor costs and recycling separation. In particular, since the aluminum foil laminated to the lid film cannot be separated, there is a problem in that recycling of the container is avoided; and even if the container and the lid film are separated, the separated lid film cannot be recycled, so there is a problem in that fatal environmental pollution occurs, such as incineration or landfilling of the lid film.

[0005] The present invention was invented to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide a packaging film for a lid of a food container, which has excellent sealing power and is not easily torn, and is composed of only a single material, synthetic resin, so that it is easy to recycle, and a method for manufacturing the same.

[0006] The packaging film for a lid of a food container that is easy to recycle according to the present invention is characterized by including a polypropylene layer; a dry laminating layer positioned under the polypropylene layer; a polyethylene layer positioned under the dry laminating layer; and a hot melt layer positioned under the polyethylene layer.

[0007] According to another preferred feature of the present invention, the polypropylene layer has a thickness of 60 to 80 μm.

[0008] According to another preferred feature of the present invention, the polyethylene layer has a thickness of 20 μm.

[0009] According to another preferred feature of the present invention, the hot melt layer is a wax component.

[0010] According to another preferred feature of the present invention, the hot melt layer has a pentagonal or hexagonal structure.

[0011] According to another preferred feature of the present invention, the film is composed of a single component and is recyclable.

[0012] The method for manufacturing a packaging film for a lid of a food container that is easy to recycle according to the present invention is characterized by including the steps of preparing a polypropylene roll and a polyethylene roll; the step of bonding the polypropylene and polyethylene by dry laminating; and the step of forming a hot melt layer of a wax component on the lower part of the polyethylene.

[0013] The packaging film for a lid of a food container that is easy to recycle according to the present invention has the advantage of being recyclable in itself because it is composed of a single synthetic resin component.

[0014] Furthermore, it is made of polypropylene and polyethylene, so it has excellent sealing properties and is not easily torn, making it very easy to transport and store the product.

[0015] Additionally, due to the nature of the material, there is an advantage in that there is no problem with the packaging film or its contents even if it is stored in the refrigerator for a long time.

[0016] Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view of a packaging film for a lid of a food container that is easy to recycle according to the present invention.

[0017] Fig. 2 is a photograph of a prototype of a lid manufactured according to the present invention.

[0028]

[0029] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail by describing preferred embodiments thereof with reference to the attached drawings. The same reference numerals in each drawing represent the same components.

[0030] Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view of a packaging film for a lid of a food container that is easy to recycle according to the present invention.

[0031] As shown in Fig. 1, the packaging film for a lid of a food container that is easy to recycle according to the present invention includes a polypropylene layer (10), a dry laminating layer (20) positioned below the polypropylene layer, a polyethylene layer (30) positioned below the dry laminating layer, and a hot melt layer (40) positioned below the polyethylene layer.

[0032]

[0033] The polypropylene layer is preferably 60 to 80 μm thick. Polypropylene, like polyethylene, is polymerized using a Ziegler-Natta catalyst from petroleum-derived propylene, and is produced using the same method as low-pressure polyethylene.

[0034] Polypropylene is a polyethylene molecule with a methyl group (CH3) attached to every other carbon atom in the molecular chain, forming a regularly arranged, short chain. Polypropylene film is more transparent and slightly stiffer than polyethylene film.

[0035] It's also widely used for molding, making bottles and containers. With a specific gravity of 0.92, it's the lightest of all existing plastics. Its melting point is high, at 135-160°C, and its applications are broad. However, its drawbacks include difficulty in coloring and its sensitivity to heat and light.

[0036] The present invention is manufactured by positioning such polypropylene as the uppermost layer and having a thickness of 60 to 80 μm.

[0037]

[0038] The dry laminating layer (20) is an adhesive layer for bonding the polypropylene layer and the polyethylene layer. Since any known material suitable for the polypropylene layer and the polyethylene layer can be used, a detailed description thereof is omitted here.

[0039]

[0040] The polyethylene layer (30) is positioned between the dry laminating layer and the hot melt layer, and is preferably manufactured to have a thickness of 20 μm.

[0041] Polyethylene is a thermoplastic, lightweight and flexible, with a waxy feel. It's a versatile plastic used in every aspect of our lives, from industrial materials to daily necessities. It's widely used in bottles, packaging, and electrical insulators.

[0042] Polyethylene is used in various containers, packaging films, fibers, pipes, packing, and paints. Buckets and cups are made through extrusion molding, while containers for industrial chemicals and liquid detergents are made through blow molding. The fiber has a high tensile strength of 9 grams per denier and is primarily used for industrial ropes. Recently, packaging films have been widely produced.

[0043]

[0044] The hot melt layer (40) is located at the bottom and is used to practically bond the lid and food container. In the present invention, a wax component is used as the hot melt.

[0045] Additionally, the composition pattern is made to have a 5- to 6-sided structure.

[0046]

[0047] Figure 2 is a photograph of a prototype of a lid manufactured according to the present invention. The left side is an unprinted state, and the right side is a photograph of a prototype printed with Nestlé as a sample.

[0048]

[0049] Meanwhile, the method for manufacturing a packaging film for a lid of a food container that is easy to recycle according to the present invention includes the steps of preparing a polypropylene roll and a polyethylene roll; the step of bonding the polypropylene and polyethylene by dry laminating; and the step of forming a hot melt layer of a wax component on the lower part of the polyethylene.

[0050]

[0051] The present invention described above is not limited to the above-described embodiments and the attached drawings, and it will be apparent to a person skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains that various substitutions, modifications, and changes are possible within a scope that does not depart from the technical spirit of the present invention.
