Description

Antibacterial hairbrush with amethyst

[0001] The present invention relates to a hair comb having a brass pin, which is an alloy of copper and zinc, plated with a material having an antibacterial function, and containing an amethyst that activates scalp cells by emitting far infrared rays to enhance the antibacterial effect on the hair and scalp.

[0002] Recently, the number of people suffering from hair loss has been rapidly increasing, and bacterial scalp diseases such as itching, red spots (erythema), tinea capitis, scalp abscess, seborrheic dermatitis, and folliculitis caused by fungal growth are becoming major causes of hair loss.

[0003] Here, scalp ringworm is a disease in which dermatophytes infect the scalp, causing scalp keratin to form in a round or oval shape. As we have reached the era of 10 million pets, there are many cases of pets being infected by dermatophyte diseases.

[0004] Seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that affects 1 to 3% of the entire population and occurs in areas where a lot of sebum is secreted, such as the scalp, forehead, and armpits. When it occurs on the scalp, it is called seborrheic dermatitis.

[0005] Erythema (red spots) is a condition that is caused by bacterial infection, and can cause swelling, inflammation, wounds, and pus when scratched, and can even lead to hair loss.

[0006] The scalp is rich in sweat glands and sebaceous glands, and Malassezia bacteria secrete secretions that feed on these glands, irritating the scalp and causing seborrheic dermatitis. In addition, Propionibacterium causes inflammation, and Staphylococcus aureus is a bacteria that causes atopy, which is accompanied by itching of the scalp.

[0007] Other causes of hair loss include genetic factors, hair follicle atrophy caused by the male hormone testosterone (DHT), hair dyeing and perming, and psychological stress and pressure.

[0008] As various bacteria and fungi that parasitize the hair and scalp multiply, they cause problems such as itching, erythema (red spots), and pimples on the scalp. In this case, if you neglect treatment, such as scratching with your fingernails rather than receiving treatment at a hospital, you can become infected with bacteria, and the symptoms can worsen, progressing to scalp inflammation, tinea capitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and folliculitis. As a result, the treatment period becomes longer and it becomes difficult to completely cure, and hair loss often occurs in the affected area.

[0009] As a result of these causes of hair loss, the capillaries surrounding the hair follicles in the scalp become thinner, resulting in poor blood flow, which in turn reduces the amount of nutrients and oxygen, causing the hair to gradually become thinner and accelerate the progression of hair loss.

[0010] Meanwhile, the existing hair combs that are commonly used come in various types, such as plastic pin combs, ceramic pin combs, and boar bristle combs, depending on the material of the teeth, which are the components. However, since the teeth of these hair combs do not have any antibacterial function, they do not have resistance to various bacteria.

[0011] Because of this, various germs, bacteria, fungi, and viruses can be transmitted to the hair and scalp through the teeth of the existing hairbrush, which can cause itching, tinea capitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and folliculitis, and depending on the treatment condition, can lead to hair loss.

[0012] According to a 2011 survey by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, the number of general bacteria detected on bathroom handles was 10 to 3,300 CFU / 10㎠, while the number of bacteria on hairbrushes in beauty salons was 75 to 1,200,000 CFU / 10㎠, indicating that the number of bacteria on hairbrushes was approximately 7 to 360 times more than on bathroom handles.

[0013] As the use of combs contaminated with various bacteria increases bacterial infections of the scalp, leading to a rise in hair loss symptoms caused by various scalp inflammations, demand is growing for combs with antibacterial properties to prevent scalp diseases in advance. Here, antibacterial means preventing the growth or creation of microorganisms on the surface of a material, including preventing the proliferation of bacteria or viruses.

[0014] The present invention has been devised to solve the problems of the prior art described above, and by introducing a brass pin having an antibacterial function, it prevents the creation and reproduction of various germs, bacteria, fungi, and viruses in the hair and scalp, thereby safely protecting the hair and scalp, thereby preventing the occurrence of scalp diseases, which are one of the causes of hair loss caused by germs, etc., and also provides a hair comb that promotes blood circulation and has an enhanced antibacterial effect on the scalp and hair by promoting the activation of human cells through the far infrared rays emitted by amethyst.

[0015] A hair comb according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a rubber plate containing a conductive material, a plurality of brass pins made of an alloy of copper and zinc, and a comb body to which the rubber plate is fixed.

[0016] In a hair comb according to an embodiment of the present invention, the brass pin may be plated with a material including at least one of gold, platinum, nickel, and titanium.

[0017] In a hair comb according to an embodiment of the present invention, an amethyst frame containing an amethyst can be fixed on one surface of the comb body facing the rubber plate.

[0018] In a comb according to an embodiment of the present invention, the amethyst frame may include a receiving portion having a space in which the amethyst is inserted and received, a support portion protruding from the receiving portion to support the amethyst so that the amethyst does not fall out of the space along the insertion direction, and an attachment portion extending from the receiving portion and attached to the comb body by an adhesive means.

[0019] In a hair comb according to an embodiment of the present invention, the rubber plate may further include an amethyst material.

[0020] According to the test results (see Figures 6 to 8) obtained by the applicant of the present invention from the Korea Testing & Research Institute for Chemical Industry, an internationally recognized testing and certification body, when the brass pin teeth with excellent antibacterial function, which were not used at all in existing hair combs, were plated with gold, 99.8% was confirmed to have an antibacterial effect, 99.9% was confirmed to have a platinum-plated effect, and 99.9% was confirmed to have a nickel-plated effect. In addition, the antibacterial effect was also confirmed when plated with titanium.

[0021] According to the present invention, by exhibiting an antibacterial effect against various germs, bacteria, fungi, and viruses that parasitize the hair and scalp through such antibacterial function, it reduces scalp inflammation caused by scalp bacteria and thereby provides the benefit of preventing hair loss.

[0022] Meanwhile, in the process of creating a hair comb with an antibacterial function for scalp ringworm, scalp pyoderma, and folliculitis caused by scalp bacteria, which are among the causes of hair loss that were not technically applied to previous products, if the brass pin with an antibacterial function is used as is without plating, there is a problem that the pin color will change due to oxidation and the antibacterial function will also decrease, but according to the present invention, if the brass pin with an antibacterial function is plated with gold, platinum, nickel, or titanium, the color of the pin will not change at all and the hair comb with an improved antibacterial function is created, and in addition, the hair comb is made with an amethyst that emits far-infrared rays with an antibacterial function, thereby eliminating scalp bacteria, which is one of the causes of hair loss, thereby preventing hair loss, which is one of the concerns of modern people.

[0032] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a comb according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the comb illustrated in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing a rubber plate and a brass pin illustrated in FIG. 2, FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view showing a brass pin illustrated in FIG. 3, FIG. 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a joint structure of the rubber plate and the brass pin illustrated in FIG. 3, FIGS. 6 to 8 are test results for testing the antibacterial function of gold, platinum, and nickel, FIG. 9 is a view showing a state in which an amethyst frame is attached to the comb body of the comb illustrated in FIG. 1, and FIG. 10 is a cross-sectional view showing a state in which an amethyst frame is attached to the comb body of the comb illustrated in FIG. 1.

[0033] As illustrated, a hair comb (1) having an antibacterial function according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a rubber plate (10), a brass pin (20), and a comb body (30).

[0034] The rubber plate (10) may be formed, for example, in an oval shape and has a number of insertion holes (101) formed therein into which brass pins (20) to be described later are coupled. The rubber plate (10) may be fixed to the comb body (30) to be described later, for example, by an adhesive.

[0035] Meanwhile, when a user uses a comb to comb their hair, the friction between the hair and the brush teeth can generate static electricity, causing discomfort and discomfort. Static electricity can also accelerate hair loss.

[0036] Accordingly, in order to prevent static electricity from being generated when using the comb, the comb (1) according to the present embodiment may contain a conductive material in the rubber plate (10). As an example of a method for manufacturing a rubber plate (10) containing a conductive material, a method of mixing conductive carbon or metal powder as a conductive material into rubber raw material powder and molding the rubber plate (10) may be used. At this time, the conductive carbon or metal powder and the rubber raw material powder may be mixed in a calculated ratio, and the hardness and electrical resistance of the rubber plate (10) may be determined according to the mixing ratio.

[0037] The present invention prevents the generation of static electricity by a rubber plate (10) containing a conductive material when using a hair comb (1). Specifically, when combing hair with a hair comb (1), static electricity generated is discharged to the empty space (302) between the rubber plate (10) containing a conductive material and the comb body (30) by the rubber plate (10) containing a conductive material. Therefore, even when using a hair comb (1), the user does not feel any generation of static electricity, and furthermore, the static electricity does not affect the hair roots, thereby eliminating the cause of hair loss due to static electricity.

[0038] The rubber plate (10) can be fixed in a convex shape facing the scalp as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 when attached to the comb body (30). By being fixed in this convex shape, it can provide elasticity to the scalp through friction when combing the hair, and can also provide a refreshing feeling while combing easily. In addition, when combing the hair, the cushioning effect of the rubber plate (10) can be utilized to gently press the entire scalp here and there and push and pull it left and right, which promotes blood circulation in the scalp and, as can be seen in the clinical trial results that show that the hair gradually becomes thicker and more elastic, it also helps in the recovery of hair loss and alopecia areata.

[0039] The brass pin (20) is composed of a plurality of pieces made of an alloy of copper and zinc and is joined to a rubber plate (10) to form the teeth of the hair comb (1). As an example of the specific structure of the brass pin (20), as shown in Fig. 4, it may be formed in a pin shape and include a first support portion (201), a fitting portion (202), and a second support portion (203).

[0040] The first support portion (201) is formed at the lower end of the brass pin (20) and has a predetermined cross-sectional area so that the upper surface of the first support portion (201) is supported in direct contact with the lower surface of the rubber plate (10), as shown in FIG. 5, thereby preventing the brass pin (20) from being separated upward from the rubber plate (10).

[0041] The fitting part (202) is formed to extend upward from the first support part (201), and the cross-sectional area of the fitting part (202) is narrower than the cross-sectional area of the first support part (201). The fitting part (202) is a part that is fitted into a fitting hole (101) formed in a rubber plate (10).

[0042] The second support portion (203) is formed on the upper side of the fitting portion (202) and has a cross-sectional area larger than the cross-sectional area of the fitting portion (202). The brass pin (20) is supported by the lower surface of the second support portion (203) directly contacting the upper surface of the rubber plate (10) as shown in Fig. 5 while the fitting portion (202) is fitted into the fitting hole (101), thereby preventing it from being detached downward from the rubber plate (10) by the second support portion (203).

[0043] The brass pin (20) is made of an alloy of copper and zinc, so that it does not rust due to moisture even when it comes into contact with moisture, such as when washing the comb (1), and not only has an antibacterial function in itself, but also has excellent conductivity, so that it discharges static electricity to the empty space between the rubber plate (10) and the comb body (30) through the first support portion (201) of the brass pin (20), thereby contributing to preventing static electricity from being generated when the comb (1) is used together with the rubber plate (10) containing a conductive material.

[0044] The brass pin (20) may be made of brass wire as a material, and may be manufactured into a pin shape through a rolling or pressing process. Thereafter, the outer surface of the brass pin (20) may be plated with a plating material, and the plating material may be a material containing at least one of gold, platinum, nickel, and titanium.

[0045] The brass pin (20) is plated in this way so that it does not oxidize and discolor compared to when it is not plated, and the antibacterial performance of the brass pin (20) itself is also maintained without deterioration. In addition, as can be seen in the test results shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, when the brass pin (20) is plated with gold, it has an antibacterial effect of 99.8%, when it is plated with platinum, it has an antibacterial effect of 99.9%, and when it is plated with nickel, it has an antibacterial effect of 99.9%. When it is plated with titanium, the antibacterial effect was also confirmed. Therefore, the hair comb (1) according to the present embodiment has an antibacterial function against various germs, bacteria, fungi, and viruses that parasitize the hair and scalp by the brass pin (20) plated with a material including at least one of gold, platinum, nickel, and titanium, and thereby reduces scalp inflammation caused by scalp bacteria, thereby preventing hair loss.

[0046] The comb body (30) may be formed integrally with a rubber plate (10) attached and fixed thereto, and the handle (301) may be formed integrally. The comb body (30) may be formed of, for example, an ABS plastic material or a metal material having excellent heat resistance and impact resistance. The comb body (30) may also be plated with a plating material including at least one of gold, platinum, nickel, and titanium to have an antibacterial function.

[0047] In addition, the present invention may further include an amethyst (50) that emits far infrared rays as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 to add an antibacterial function to the comb.

[0048] There are many types of crystals, including rock crystal, citrine, amethyst, rose quartz, and smoky quartz. Amethyst has long been a symbol of nobility, and is considered one of the world's five greatest gemstones, along with diamond, ruby, sapphire, and emerald.

[0049] Around 4,000 BC, ancient Egyptians wore amethyst as jewelry, the Greeks made and used amethyst cups and goblets, and there are records of amethyst being worn as Catholic cross ornaments and jewelry during the Middle Ages. Even today, it is used not only as a gemstone but also as an alternative medicine material, and is used in various aspects of daily life, such as in medical devices, amethyst heating mats, heating compresses, pillows, and amethyst hexagonal water bottles. In particular, the amethyst bio mat is registered as a medical device and sold in the United States, some countries in the European Community, Japan, and China.

[0050] Amethyst is produced in Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia, Russia, China, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, etc., and in Korea, a small amount is produced at the Uljin Amethyst Mine in Gyeongbuk.

[0051] What is important is the functional aspect of amethyst. It has been evaluated that amethyst has a regular frequency of 32,786 kHz per second and radiates 91% of far-infrared rays at 37℃. (Far-infrared Application Evaluation Center, Korea Institute of Construction Materials)

[0052] Far infrared (FIR) was discovered in 1800 by German scientist FW Hershel, who confirmed that it had better thermal efficiency than visible light and had the effect of raising temperature. In 1835, A. Amper named it infrared (i.e., far infrared) with a longer wavelength than visible light, and from 1876, the medical field began to utilize far infrared for disease treatment.

[0053] Far infrared refers to electromagnetic waves that fall at the farthest wavelength from visible light, i.e., the longest wavelength and lowest frequency, when the infrared region is subdivided by wavelength. Wavelengths between 15 micrometers and 1 millimeter (frequency between 20 terahertz and 300 gigahertz) are generally classified as far infrared. Since the human body has a wavelength of 8 to 14 micrometers, far infrared is well absorbed by human skin. When the wavelength is the same, resonance vibration occurs effectively, leading to cell activation.

[0054] Accordingly, research has been published showing that far-infrared rays help eliminate bacteria that cause various diseases in the human body, and that the heat action of far-infrared rays helps blood circulation and cell tissue creation by expanding capillaries, and also has an antibacterial effect.

[0055] Amethyst (50) that emits far-infrared rays is accommodated in an amethyst frame (40), and the amethyst frame (40) in which the amethyst (50) is accommodated is fixed on one side of the comb body (30) facing the rubber plate (10).

[0056] The amethyst frame (40) may include a receiving portion (41) having a space in which an amethyst (50) is inserted and received, a support portion (42) that protrudes from the receiving portion (41) to support the amethyst (50) so that the amethyst (50) does not fall out of the space along the insertion direction, and an attachment portion (43) that extends from the receiving portion (41) and is attached to the rain body portion (30) by an adhesive means.

[0057] Amethyst (50) is accommodated in the space of the receiving portion (41) and is supported on one side by a support portion (42) so that it is prevented from being separated from the receiving portion (41) along the direction in which it is inserted into the space of the receiving portion (41).

[0058] The receiving portion (41) is positioned so that the amethyst (50) is held in close contact with one surface of the comb body portion (30), and accordingly, the amethyst (50) is supported by having its other surface close contact with one surface of the comb body portion (30), so that the amethyst (50) is supported not only in the direction of one surface but also in the direction of the other surface, and does not come out within the space of the receiving portion (41).

[0059] The amethyst frame (40) can be fixed to the comb body (30) by, for example, applying an adhesive to the attachment portion (43) while the receiving portion (41) is in close contact with one surface of the comb body (30) and adhering to one surface of the comb body (30). At this time, by applying an adhesive to the other surface of the amethyst (50), the amethyst (50) itself can be fixed to the comb body (30), so that the amethyst (50) and the amethyst frame (40) can be firmly fixed.

[0060] Meanwhile, the receiving portion (41), the support portion (42), and the attachment portion (43) included in the amethyst frame (40) can be formed integrally, and at this time, can be manufactured by injection molding using one of the materials of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

[0061] Amethyst (50) can be manufactured, for example, into an amethyst hexagonal body. An example method for manufacturing such an amethyst hexagonal body is described as follows.

[0062] The process for forming an amethyst hexagonal body may include a) a step of putting the amethyst raw material into a crusher and first crushing it, and then going through the first and second processes in the grinder to powder it into 300 to 500 mesh, and b) a mixing step of mixing a small amount of 20 to 30 wt% of germanium, zeolite, and quartz powder, which are other minerals that emit a large amount of far-infrared rays, to increase the firing efficiency of the amethyst powder. The reason for mixing other powders here is to resolve technical issues that may prevent proper firing during the firing process. Next, c) the mixed amethyst powder is mixed with a certain amount of water, kneaded, placed in a hexagonal mold, and solidified. After drying the moisture, preventing cracks, and strengthening the tissue cohesion in the first heating furnace (gradual heating from about 300℃ to 900℃), it is then molded and calcined in the second tunnel-type firing furnace (heating temperature about 1,000 to 1,300℃) for about an hour. The amethyst hexagonal mold thus produced has a smooth, glossy surface and excellent far-infrared radiation.

[0063] The hair comb (1) having an antibacterial function according to the present invention has an amethyst (50) accommodated in an amethyst frame (40) and arranged on one side of the comb body (30), so that it not only has an antibacterial function against scalp bacteria, which is one of the causes of hair loss, by means of a brass pin (20), but also continuously combing the hair with the hair comb (1) makes the hair more lively by means of the amethyst (50) emitting far-infrared rays with an antibacterial function, and helps with hair loss by activating blood circulation in the scalp cells and helps with healthy hair.

[0064] The comb (1) according to the present invention may further include an amethyst material in the rubber plate (10). When molding the rubber plate (10) fixed to the comb body (30), a certain amount of amethyst powder is mixed into the rubber powder material so that the rubber plate (10) further includes the amethyst material, thereby providing a rubber plate (10) that radiates far infrared rays.

[0065] The rubber plate (10) further includes an amethyst material in this way, thereby doubling the antibacterial function and the scalp cell activation function due to far-infrared radiation together with the amethyst (50) mentioned above.

[0066] While the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, these embodiments merely illustrate preferred examples, and the present invention is not limited to these embodiments. Those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and equivalent alternative embodiments are possible based on these embodiments.
