Abstract
Description
Crown arrangement method and device thereof
[0001] The present invention relates to dental image processing technology, and more particularly, to a technology for establishing a digital dental diagnosis and treatment plan through dental image analysis.
[0002] In dentistry, prosthodontics refers to restoring a target tooth using a prosthesis. Prosthodontics include removable dentures and non-removable crowns and bridges. Implant surgery involves implanting an artificial tooth replacement. For example, a non-rejectable implant is placed into the alveolar bone to replace a lost tooth root. A crown is then attached to the implant to restore the tooth's function. These dental prosthetics are semi-permanent, as they do not damage the surrounding dental tissue and resemble natural teeth in function and appearance while preventing decay.
[0003] Before performing an actual prosthesis or implant procedure, a simulation is conducted to design a crown suitable for the patient and virtually place the selected crown on the target tooth.
[0004] The technology for designing a crown involves the user manually manipulating one of the basic tooth shapes installed in the software, determining the width of the crown based on that shape, and then manually manipulating the shape of the occlusal surface to fit the opposing teeth, thereby creating the shape of the crown.
[0005] In this case, the crown shape is largely determined by the worker's selection and manual manipulation, which presents a problem: the shape of the crown varies depending on the worker's skill level. Furthermore, the process of creating the crown shape takes a long time, making it inefficient in terms of time.
[0006] According to one embodiment, a method and device for arranging crowns are proposed, which can minimize user work and increase accuracy by automatically or semi-automatically arranging crowns.
[0007] A method for arranging crowns using a crown arranging device according to one embodiment includes the steps of: segmenting individual teeth from patient tooth data; generating a boundary box area according to a tooth segmentation outline of the segmented individual teeth; analyzing the tooth data to set feature information including a central sulcus, a cusp, and a ridge of each individual tooth; initially arranging a crown in a boundary box area of a target tooth using the set feature information; and modifying the crown based on at least one of an antagonist tooth and an adjacent tooth of the arranged crown.
[0008] The step of setting the characteristic information may include a step of setting the central sphere of each individual tooth, a step of setting the cusp half ratio of each individual tooth using the central sphere information of each individual tooth, a step of dividing the occlusal surface of the boundary box area of each individual tooth by the cusp half ratio, a step of setting the cusp in each half using the cusp half ratio of each individual tooth, and a step of connecting each cusp within the individual tooth to create a cusp ridge and a marginal ridge.
[0009] The crown arrangement method may further include a step of selecting a boundary box area of a predetermined individual tooth from tooth data by an input signal, and a step of providing characteristic information of the selected individual tooth.
[0010] The crown arrangement method may further include a step of modifying a boundary box area of an individual tooth by an input signal corresponding to a user action of rotating a vertex of the boundary box area or a user action of dragging a line of the boundary box area to enlarge or reduce its size.
[0011] The crown arrangement method may further include a step of modifying characteristic information of individual teeth by an input signal.
[0012] The step of modifying the characteristic information of an individual tooth may include a step of modifying the tooth direction of an individual tooth by an input signal through a tooth direction setting interface, a step of modifying the center of the individual tooth by an input signal according to a user action of moving the position of the center of the individual tooth, a step of modifying the tooth half of an individual tooth by an input signal according to a user action of dragging a line dividing the tooth half, a step of modifying a cusp by an input signal according to a user action of modifying the position by dragging a cusp, and a step of modifying a ridge by an input signal according to a user action of dragging a ridge.
[0013] In the crown modification step, the crown can be modified using the center hole and cusp information of the opposing tooth targeting the arranged crown.
[0014] The steps for modifying the crown are as follows: if the crown arrangement location is an anterior tooth, the crown is modified based on the adjacent teeth with priority given to the adjacent teeth; if the crown arrangement location is an anterior canine or incisor, the crown is modified so as not to come into contact with the antagonist teeth; and if the crown arrangement location is a posterior tooth, the crown is modified based on the antagonist teeth with priority given to the adjacent teeth.
[0015] The step of modifying the crown may include a step of modifying the direction of the cusps of the arranged crown to match the direction of the occlusal points of the antagonist teeth, and a step of modifying the crown so that the occlusal points of the crown and the antagonist teeth come into contact with each other.
[0016] In the step of modifying the crown, the crown can be modified using the information on the driving direction and ridge height of the cusp and center hole of the adjacent teeth targeting the arranged crown.
[0017] In the crown modification step, the direction of the buccal and lingual cusp ridges and the central groove of the crown can be aligned with those of the adjacent teeth, and the height of the marginal ridge can be aligned with those of the adjacent teeth.
[0018] The step of modifying the crown may include a step of determining the position of the target tooth from the acquired tooth data, a step of matching the cusp running direction and the central groove running direction of the crown with those of the adjacent tooth if the target tooth is a premolar or a molar, a step of matching the height of the marginal ridge of the crown with those of the adjacent tooth, and a step of matching the cusp running direction and the central groove running direction of the crown with those of the adjacent tooth if the target tooth is an incisor or a canine if the marginal ridge height of the crown with those of the adjacent tooth.
[0019] The crown arrangement method may further include a step of determining whether each individual tooth is an abnormal tooth, and a step of arranging the crown or modifying the arranged crown using characteristic information of adjacent teeth of the crown, but if the adjacent teeth are abnormal teeth, performing an exception setting to exclude the corresponding individual teeth from the adjacent teeth for crown arrangement or modification.
[0020] The crown arrangement method may further include a step of setting an exception for a predetermined individual tooth by an input signal through an interface for setting an exception.
[0021] According to another embodiment, a crown arrangement device includes a data acquisition unit that acquires patient's tooth data, a control unit that segments individual teeth from the patient's tooth data, creates a boundary box area according to the tooth segmentation outline of the segmented individual teeth, analyzes the tooth data to set feature information including a central sulcus, a cusp, and a ridge of each individual tooth, and then initially arranges a crown in the boundary box area of a target tooth using the set feature information, and then modifies the crown based on at least one of an antagonist tooth and an adjacent tooth of the arranged crown, and an output unit that displays a screen including the tooth data.
[0022] A crown arrangement device and method according to one embodiment can automate the process of segmenting individual teeth from tooth data, analyzing the tooth data, and then arranging crowns. Accordingly, crown modification work by the user can be eliminated or minimized.
[0023] A crown arrangement device and method thereof can improve the accuracy of crown arrangement work by precisely analyzing tooth data for crown arrangement. For example, the crown arrangement device can generate feature information from tooth data based on segmented teeth, boundary box areas, and relationships between teeth, and can arrange crowns using the generated feature information. Therefore, the accuracy of crown arrangement work is improved.
[0024] Furthermore, the crown arrangement device and method allow user modifications at all stages of tooth data analysis. For example, if an error occurs after data analysis, the crown arrangement device can modify the characteristic information of individual teeth based on input signals and adjust the crown arrangement based on the modified characteristic information of each tooth. This can enhance the accuracy of the crown arrangement process.

[0047] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the embodiments of the present invention exemplified below may be modified in various other forms, and the scope of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described below. The embodiments of the present invention are provided to more fully explain the present invention to those skilled in the art.
[0048] FIG. 1 is a drawing illustrating the configuration of a crown arrangement device according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0049] Referring to Fig. 1, the crown arrangement device (1) is an electronic device capable of executing a dental image processing program. The electronic device may be a personal computer (PC), a laptop, a tablet, a smartphone, etc. The dental image processing program may include a guide design program, a scanning program, a CAD program, etc. In addition, the device may be applied to other general dental image processing programs in addition to those for dental implant surgery. For convenience of explanation, the device will be described below using a dental implant guide design program as an example, but it is of course applicable to other programs capable of image processing.
[0050] A crown arrangement device (1) according to one embodiment performs a dental computer-aided design (CAD) process to assist in actual dental treatment, for example, dental prosthesis and implant. For example, the crown arrangement device (1) acquires a patient's dental data, and, through control by a computer program, loads a crown from a crown library and arranges the crown at a target tooth position of the dental data. At this time, the crown arrangement device (1) analyzes the patient's dental data and automatically or semi-automatically arranges the crown on the dental data using the data analysis results.
[0051] Hereinafter, the configuration of a crown arrangement device (1) using surrounding teeth with the aforementioned characteristics will be described in detail.
[0052] Referring to FIG. 1, the crown array device (1) includes a data acquisition unit (10), a storage unit (12), a control unit (14), an input unit (16), and an output unit (18).
[0053] The data acquisition unit (10) acquires dental data. The data acquisition unit (10) can acquire dental data through a linked medical imaging device (not shown) or a separate database, etc. The dental data may be scan data, CT data, etc.
[0054] The input unit (16) receives a user operation signal. At this time, the input unit (16) can receive a user operation signal for a user interface displayed on the screen. At this time, the input unit (16) can receive a user operation signal for a user interface displayed on the screen.
[0055] The storage unit (12) stores data such as information required for the operation of the crown array device (1) and information generated according to the operation. For example, the storage unit (12) stores individual patient tooth data and can provide it to the control unit (14) according to a user request. The storage unit (12) has a crown library composed of multiple crowns. The multiple crowns are model data that model virtual artificial teeth.
[0056] The control unit (14) executes a computer program, performs a function according to an input signal from the input unit (10), and displays a screen through the output unit (14).
[0057] The control unit (14) analyzes dental data, for example, scan data, and automatically or semi-automatically arranges crowns on the dental data using the data analysis results.
[0058] To this end, the control unit (14) segments individual teeth from the tooth data acquired through the data acquisition unit (10). The individual tooth segmentation process will be described later with reference to FIG. 3. The control unit (14) can create a boundary box area according to the tooth segmentation outline of the segmented individual teeth.
[0059] The control unit (14) analyzes the tooth data to generate characteristic information for each individual tooth. The characteristic information includes information on the central groove (or fissure), cusp, ridge, and proximal contact point of each tooth. The ridge may include an occlusal ridge and a marginal ridge. The generated characteristic information for each individual tooth can be modified by the user through an input signal. Examples of generating characteristic information for each individual tooth will be described below with reference to FIGS. 4 to 11.
[0060] The control unit (14) initially arranges crowns in the boundary box area of the target tooth using the set characteristic information. To this end, the control unit (14) selects crowns from the crown library using the characteristic information of each tooth and arranges the selected crowns in the tooth data.
[0061] The control unit (14) can correct the crown based on at least one of the opposing teeth and adjacent teeth of the arranged crown.
[0062] For example, when modifying a crown based on an opposing tooth, the control unit (14) modifies the cusps and center hole of the crown by aligning the occlusal point of the opposing tooth at the position where the crown is in contact with the antagonist. At this time, the control unit (14) can modify the direction of the cusps of the crown to match the direction of the occlusal point of the antagonist. In addition, the control unit (14) can modify the crown so that the occlusal points of the crown and the antagonist are in contact with each other.
[0063] For example, in the case of modifying a crown based on an adjacent tooth, the control unit (14) can modify the crown using the information on the direction of travel of the cusps and the center of the adjacent tooth and the ridge height. For example, the control unit (14) can align the direction of travel of the cusps and the direction of travel of the center of the crown with those of the adjacent tooth, and can align the marginal ridge height of the crown with those of the adjacent tooth.
[0064] The output unit (14) displays a screen under the control of the control unit (12). The output unit (14) can output tooth data. The output unit (18) can display an analysis screen for tooth data, a crown arrangement screen, etc.
[0065] FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a flow of a crown arrangement method according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0066] Referring to Fig. 2, the crown array device (1) segments individual teeth from the patient's tooth data (S210). The tooth data may be scan data.
[0067] In step S210, the crown array device (1) can set a boundary line or boundary point of an individual tooth in the tooth data and divide the individual tooth based on the set boundary line or boundary point.
[0068] As another example, a crown array device (1) can segment individual teeth using an artificial neural network of artificial intelligence. For example, an orthodontic treatment planning device (1) can learn about individual teeth of a patient based on CT data of previous patients, and then segment individual teeth using the learning results.
[0069] Next, the crown arrangement device (1) creates a boundary box area according to the tooth division outline of the divided individual teeth (S220). A crown can be arranged later in the boundary box area of the target tooth. The boundary box area can have mesial, distal, occlusal, buccal, and lingual information.
[0070] Next, the crown array device (1) analyzes the tooth data to set the characteristic information of each individual tooth (S230). The individual tooth includes the target tooth, the adjacent teeth of the target tooth, and the antagonist teeth. The characteristic information includes the central sulcus, cusp, ridge, and adjacent contact point information of the individual tooth. The ridge may include an occlusal ridge and a marginal ridge. The generated characteristic information of the individual tooth can be modified by the user through an input signal.
[0071] Next, the crown arrangement device (1) initially arranges crowns in the boundary box area of the target tooth using the characteristic information of the set individual teeth (S240). To this end, the crown arrangement device (1) selects crowns from the crown library using the characteristic information of the individual teeth and arranges the selected crowns in the tooth data.
[0072] Next, the crown arrangement device (1) corrects the crown arrangement based on at least one of the antagonist and adjacent teeth of the arranged crown (S250). The antagonist and adjacent teeth may be natural teeth or crowns.
[0073] At step S250, the crown arrangement device (1) can adjust the cusps and central groove of the crown to align the occlusal points of the opposing teeth in the opposing positions with the crown. For example, the crown arrangement device (1) can adjust the direction of the cusps of the crown to match the direction of the occlusal points of the opposing teeth. In addition, the crown arrangement device (1) can adjust the crown so that the occlusal points of the crown and the opposing teeth are in contact with each other.
[0074] At step S250, the crown arrangement device (1) can correct the crown using the information on the cusp and center hole running direction and ridge height of the adjacent teeth of the arranged crown. For example, the crown arrangement device (1) can align the cusp running direction and center hole running direction of the crown with those of the adjacent teeth, and align the marginal ridge height of the crown with those of the adjacent teeth.
[0075] When the target tooth is a premolar or molar, the crown arrangement device (1) can assign priority to the alignment of the cusp running direction and the central groove running direction. For example, the crown arrangement device (1) aligns the cusp running direction and the central groove running direction of the crown of a premolar or molar with those of the adjacent tooth, and then aligns the height of the marginal ridge with those of the adjacent tooth.
[0076] In contrast, when the target teeth are incisors and canines, the crown arrangement device (1) can assign priority to matching the height of the marginal ridge. In this case, the crown arrangement device (1) matches the height of the marginal ridge of the crown of the incisor or canine with that of the adjacent tooth, and then matches the cusp running direction and the central groove running direction with that of the adjacent tooth.
[0077] The crown arrangement device (1) can arrange crowns or correct arranged crowns using characteristic information of adjacent teeth of the crown. At this time, the crown arrangement device (1) can determine whether an adjacent tooth is an abnormal tooth, and if it is an abnormal tooth, can perform an exception setting to exclude the corresponding individual tooth from the adjacent tooth target for crown arrangement or correction.
[0078] FIG. 3 is a drawing illustrating an individual tooth split screen according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0079] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 3, the crown array device (1) divides a plurality of individual teeth (30) from the patient's tooth data (3).
[0080] The individual tooth segmentation process can use a conventional method. For example, the crown array device (1) can set a boundary line or boundary point of an individual tooth (30) from the tooth data and segment the individual tooth (30) based on the set boundary line or boundary point.
[0081] Alternatively, the crown array device (1) can segment individual teeth (30) through an artificial neural network of artificial intelligence. For example, the orthodontic treatment planning device (1) can learn individual teeth (30) of a patient based on CT data of previous patients, and then segment individual teeth (30) using the learning results.
[0082] Next, the crown arrangement device (1) can create a boundary box area (32) according to the tooth division outline of the divided individual teeth (30). The boundary box area (32) of the individual teeth (30) can have mesial, distal, occlusal, buccal, and lingual information.
[0083] FIG. 4 is a drawing illustrating an archline creation screen according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0084] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 4, the crown arrangement device (1) connects the center points (40) of the divided individual teeth after each tooth has been divided, thereby creating a line-shaped arch line (42). Here, the crown arrangement device (1) determines that the third molar (tooth number 8) is not a reference tooth and excludes it when creating the arch line (42).
[0085] FIG. 5 is a drawing illustrating a screen for setting the occlusal surface direction of an individual tooth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0086] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 5, the crown arrangement device (1) can acquire two sets of tooth data, one for the upper jaw and one for the lower jaw, when acquiring initial tooth data, as shown in (a). Utilizing this, the crown arrangement device (1) sets the direction in which individual teeth of one set of tooth data face the tooth data of the opposite side as the occlusal plane.
[0087] If only one scan data without a matching tooth is acquired as shown in (b), the crown arrangement device (1) can set the empty space or flat space of the mesh data as the bottom surface and set the opposite side as the occlusal surface.
[0088] FIG. 6 is a drawing illustrating a screen for setting the surface direction of an individual tooth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0089] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 6, the crown arrangement device (1) sets the point corresponding to the inside of the arch line (42) as the lingual side (①), and the opposite side as the buccal side (②). In addition, the crown arrangement device (1) sets the direction of the end point of the arch line (42) as the distal side (④), and the direction from the end point of the arch line (40) toward the inside as the mesial side (③).
[0090] Figure 7 is a drawing showing a screen for setting the center hole of an individual tooth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0091] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 7, the crown arrangement device (1) extends a line (72) extending from the deepest point (70) on the occlusal surface of an individual tooth and sets it as a center hole (74). In this case, if there are multiple lines extending from the center point, the crown arrangement device (1) can set a line running in the mesial and distal directions as the center hole.
[0092] FIG. 8 is a drawing showing a screen for setting the cusp half of an individual tooth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0093] In more detail, (a) is a diagram showing the half-part ratio by type of individual tooth, (b) is a diagram showing the half-part ratio by type of individual tooth, and (c) is a drawing showing a screen where the half-part ratio is set on the occlusal surface of the boundary box area of an individual tooth.
[0094] In Figure 8, B (Buccal) represents the buccal side, L (Lingual) represents the lingual side, M (Mesial) represents the mesial side, D (Distal) represents the distal side, MB (Mesial-Buccal) represents the mesial buccal side, DB (Distal-Buccal) represents the distal buccal side, ML (Mesial-Lingual) represents the mesial lingual side, and DL (Distal-Lingual) represents the distal lingual side, respectively.
[0095] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 8, premolars and molars have 2 to 5 cusps for each tooth number. These cusps each have different heights. Therefore, the crown arrangement device (1) sets the cusp half ratio for each individual tooth. For example, the half ratio of the maxillary first premolar is B:L=3:2, and the half ratio of the mandibular first premolar is B:L=3:1.
[0096] The crown arrangement device (1) sets the cusp half ratio of each upper and lower jaw individual tooth to the occlusal surface of the boundary box area of each tooth as shown in (c). Then, the crown arrangement device (1) divides the occlusal surface of the boundary box area of each tooth into the cusp half ratio. The crown arrangement device (1) can divide the cusp half of each tooth into lines (80) using the central hole information. For example, the buccal (B) and lingual (L) halves are divided into the buccal half and the lingual half based on the central hole.
[0097] The buccal cusp of the mandibular second molar has three cusps, but in actual clinical practice, the distal cusp is often underdeveloped. Therefore, the crown arrangement device (1) is set to have four cusps for the mandibular second molar.
[0098] FIG. 9 is a drawing illustrating a screen for setting the cusp of an individual tooth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0099] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 9, the crown arrangement device (1) sets the first cut portion as a cusp (90) while cutting the upper surface of the boundary box area of an individual tooth from the occlusal plane. At this time, the crown arrangement device (1) can set the cusp (90) in each half using the cusp half ratio. While creating the cusp (90) in each half, a line extending the highest line is created, and this process continues until all lines are connected. At this time, the created line becomes the occlusal table (92). The highest point of the canine becomes the cusp. The occlusal table (92) becomes the incisal edge in the canine and incisor.
[0100] FIG. 10 is a drawing illustrating a screen for setting the ridge of an individual tooth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0101] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 10, the crown arrangement device (1) creates an occlusal table that extends each cusp within an individual tooth. The occlusal table is divided into four lines in the buccal, lingual, mesial, and distal directions, and is composed of a cusp ridge and a marginal ridge. At this time, the cusp points are not included in the marginal ridges. The line on the buccal side is the buccal cusp ridge (101), the line on the lingual side is the lingual cusp ridge (102), the line on the mesial side is the mesial marginal ridge (103), and the line on the distal side is the distal marginal ridge (104).
[0102] FIG. 11 is a drawing illustrating a screen for setting adjacent contact points according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0103] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 11, the crown arrangement device (1) sets adjacent contact points (111, 112) on the distal and mesial surfaces of individual teeth. At this time, the crown arrangement device (1) excludes a portion of the lower part of the individual teeth, for example, a 1 / 3 area, in order to prevent exposure of an inclined root due to gingival recession or the generation of air bubbles during the plaster model production process. Then, the crown arrangement device (1) sets the point closest to the mesial and distal boundary box area in the remaining area of the individual teeth that is not excluded as the adjacent contact point (111, 112). The crown arrangement device (1) can set the adjacent contact points (111, 112) on the adjacent teeth on both sides of the target tooth on which the crown is to be placed.
[0104] As described above with reference to FIGS. 7 to 11, the crown arrangement device (1) can analyze tooth data to generate feature information including an arch line, a cusp, a central groove, a cusp ridge, a marginal ridge, and adjacent contact points for each tooth.
[0105] FIG. 12 is a drawing illustrating a screen that provides characteristic information of individual teeth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0106] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 12, the crown arrangement device (1) can provide the shape of an arch line (42) and a boundary box area (32) of an individual tooth on tooth data.
[0107] Next, when a boundary box area (32) of a predetermined individual tooth is selected by an input signal from the tooth data, the crown arrangement device (1) can provide characteristic information of the selected individual tooth within the boundary box area (32). The provided characteristic information includes a cusp, a central groove, a cusp ridge, a marginal ridge, an adjacent contact point, etc.
[0108] The crown array device (1) can modify the boundary box area (32) of an individual tooth selected by an input signal.
[0109] FIG. 13 is a drawing illustrating a screen for modifying the boundary box area and arch line of an individual tooth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0110] In more detail, (a) is a drawing showing a screen for modifying the boundary box area of an individual tooth, and (b) is a drawing showing a screen for modifying the arch line of an individual tooth.
[0111] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 13, the crown array device (1) can modify the boundary box area (32) by an input signal. The input signal includes a signal according to a user action (130) of rotating a vertex of the boundary box area (32), a signal according to a user action of dragging a line of the boundary box area (32) to enlarge or reduce its size, etc.
[0112] The crown array device (1) can modify the arch line (42) by an input signal. At this time, the input signal may be a signal according to a user action (132) of modifying the arch line (42) by dragging the arch line (42) and moving it from the drag start point to the drag end point.
[0113] FIG. 14 is a drawing illustrating a screen for modifying characteristic information of individual teeth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0114] Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 14, the crown array device (1) can modify the characteristic information of individual teeth by an input signal.
[0115] The crown arrangement device (1) can correct the tooth direction of individual teeth by an input signal. To correct the tooth direction, the crown arrangement device (1) displays directions (B, L, M, D) as text at the outer end of the boundary box area (32). At this time, the crown arrangement device (1) activates the tooth direction setting interface (141) by an input signal according to an operation (140) in which a predetermined direction (e.g., M) is selected. The crown arrangement device (1) can reset the tooth direction through the tooth direction setting interface (141). The tooth direction setting interface (141) may be in the form of a drop box.
[0116] The crown arrangement device (1) can correct the center hole (70) of an individual tooth by an input signal. At this time, the input signal may be a signal according to a user action (142) that moves the position of the center hole (70).
[0117] The crown arrangement device (1) can modify the tooth halves (buccal half, lingual half, mesial half, distal half) of individual teeth by an input signal. At this time, the input signal may be a signal according to a user action (143) of dragging a line (80) dividing the tooth halves.
[0118] The crown arrangement device (1) can correct the cusp positions of individual teeth by an input signal. At this time, the input signal may be a signal according to a user action (144) of dragging a cusp point to correct the position. At this time, the occlusal surface table, cusp ridge, and marginal ridge are also corrected according to the corrected cusp position.
[0119] The crown arrangement device (1) can change the ratio of the cusp ridge (101, 102) or marginal ridge (103, 104) of an individual tooth by an input signal. At this time, the input signal may be a signal according to a user action (145) of dragging the ridge.
[0120] The crown array device (1) can modify adjacent contact points of individual teeth by an input signal. At this time, the input signal may be a signal according to a user action (146) for modifying the size of an individual tooth by dragging the outer edge of the crown array device (1) or modifying the position by dragging a point.
[0121] The aforementioned feature information can be displayed on the surface of the tooth data, not on the surface of the boundary box area. When the feature information is modified by an input signal, the crown arrangement device (1) can re-arrange the crown using the modified feature information.
[0122] FIG. 15 is a drawing illustrating a crown initial arrangement screen according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0123] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 15, after tooth data analysis is completed, the crown arrangement device (1) initially arranges a crown (150) in the boundary box area (32) of the target tooth. At this time, the direction of the crown (150) follows the direction of the boundary box area (32).
[0124] FIG. 16 is a drawing showing an occlusal point of an opposing tooth for contact with an opposing tooth of a crown according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0125] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 16, the crown arrangement device (1) can adjust a crown based on an opposing tooth. For example, the crown arrangement device (1) can adjust a crown's cusp to align with the occlusal point of an opposing tooth, based on a crown arranged in a boundary box area. The opposing tooth can be a natural tooth or a crown.
[0126] The occlusion points of the opposing teeth of the maxilla and mandible are as shown in Fig. 16.
[0127] In the case of the maxilla, the lingual side - distal fossa of the mandibular first premolar (161), the lingual side - distal fossa of the mandibular second premolar (162), the mesioling side - central fossa of the mandibular first molar (163), the distal lingual side - distal marginal ridge of the mandibular first molar (164), the mesioling side - central fossa of the mandibular second molar (165), and the distal lingual side - distal marginal ridge of the mandibular second molar (166) each serve as occlusal points.
[0128] In the case of the mandible, the occlusal points are distally - the central fossa of the maxillary second molar (171), mesiobuccally - the mesial marginal ridge of the maxillary second molar (172), distally - the distal marginal ridge of the maxillary first molar (173), distally - the central fossa of the maxillary first molar (174), mesiobuccally - the mesial marginal ridge of the maxillary first molar (175), buccally - the mesial marginal ridge of the maxillary second premolar (176), and buccally - the mesial marginal ridge of the maxillary first premolar (177).
[0129] The crown arrangement device (1) can adjust the crown so that the cusps of the arranged crowns are aligned with the direction of the occlusal points of the opposing teeth. When the crown arrangement location is an anterior tooth, the crown can be adjusted based on the adjacent teeth by giving priority to the adjacent teeth over the occlusal teeth. At this time, when the crown arrangement location is an anterior tooth (canine, incisor), it is prevented from contacting the opposing teeth. When the crown arrangement location is a posterior tooth, the antagonist teeth can be given priority over the adjacent teeth by giving priority to the opposing teeth and giving priority to the opposing teeth over the adjacent teeth by giving priority to the opposing teeth over the adjacent teeth. The mesial and distal ends of the crown are made to contact the contact points of the adjacent teeth.
[0130] FIG. 17 is a drawing showing a contact form between a crown and a matching tooth according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0131] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 17, the crown arrangement device (1) causes the occlusal points of the crown (150) and the antagonist (170) to contact each other, as shown in (b) rather than (a). At this time, if the crown (150) is not in contact with the occlusal point of the antagonist (170), the crown arrangement device (1) modifies the shape of the crown (150) so that it contacts the occlusal point of the antagonist (170) and then causes it to contact the antagonist (170).
[0132] FIG. 18 is a drawing illustrating tooth data for generating a cusp ridge extension line and a central groove extension line according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0133] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 18, the crown arrangement device (1) creates a buccal cusp ridge extension line (181) that extends the buccal cusp ridge of each individual tooth, a lingual cusp ridge extension line (182) that extends the lingual cusp ridge, and a central groove extension line (183) that extends the central groove. At this time, the crown arrangement device (1) creates the buccal cusp ridge extension line (181), the lingual cusp ridge extension line (182), and the central groove extension line (183) to form a natural arch shape like an arch line.
[0134] In the case of a buccal cusp ridge, the crown arrangement device (1) can create a buccal cusp ridge extension line (181) up to the cusp and incisal edge of the anterior tooth. In the case of a central groove, the crown arrangement device (1) can create a central groove extension line (183) only for the posterior tooth. In the case of a lingual cusp ridge, the crown arrangement device (1) can create a lingual cusp ridge extension line (182) up to the lingual end of the anterior tooth outline.
[0135] FIG. 19 is a drawing for explaining exception settings for abnormal teeth when arranging or modifying a crown according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0136] More specifically, (a) is a drawing illustrating a central sphere extension line in tooth data including abnormal teeth, (b) is a drawing illustrating a central sphere extension line in tooth data composed of normal teeth, and (c) is a drawing illustrating an example of exception setting through an exception setting interface.
[0137] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 19, the crown arrangement device (1) arranges crowns or modifies arranged crowns using characteristic information of adjacent teeth of the crowns. At this time, the crown arrangement device (1) can modify the crowns using information on the running direction and ridge height of the cusps and central grooves of the adjacent teeth of the arranged crowns. For example, the crown arrangement device (1) aligns the running direction of the buccal and lingual cusp ridges and central grooves of the crowns with those of the adjacent teeth. In addition, it aligns the marginal ridge height with that of the adjacent teeth.
[0138] The crown arrangement device (1) can determine whether an adjacent tooth of a crown is an abnormal tooth, and if the adjacent tooth is an abnormal tooth, can set an exception to exclude the abnormal tooth from the adjacent tooth target for crown arrangement or correction.
[0139] For example, in determining abnormal teeth, the crown arrangement device (1) determines that, in the case of an individual tooth in which the running angle of the central extension line (183) is more than the angle of the arch line by a predetermined value, for example, 20 degrees or more, as shown in (a), the crown arrangement device determines that the individual tooth is a rotated tooth and an abnormal tooth (190).
[0140] The crown arrangement device (1) sets an exception when a given individual tooth is determined to be an abnormal tooth (190). The exception setting may include exclusion from characteristic information setting and exclusion from the target for crown arrangement. The crown arrangement device (1) may notify the user when it is determined to be an abnormal tooth (190).
[0141] The crown arrangement device (1) can also set exceptions for abnormal teeth by input signals. For example, as shown in (c), the crown arrangement device (1) provides an exception setting interface (192), and can set exceptions for abnormal teeth by input signals through the exception setting interface (192).
[0142] The crown array device (1) can also release the exception setting by input signals for abnormal teeth determined by the device. The user's exception setting or release of the exception setting can be performed by input signals according to the user's action of selecting the boundary box area of an individual tooth.
[0143] If the adjacent teeth at the position where the crown is to be arranged are set as abnormal teeth, the crown arrangement device (1) arranges the crown or corrects the arranged crown, excluding the adjacent contact point contact items.
[0144] FIG. 20 is a drawing illustrating adjacent contact points for crown arrangement modification according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0145] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 20, the crown arrangement device (1) can modify the crown so that the crown contacts the adjacent contact point (200) of the adjacent tooth. The adjacent contact point of the adjacent tooth may be the mesial or distal maximum fusion portion of the adjacent tooth.
[0146] The crown arrangement device (1) can correct the crown by using the driving direction and ridge height information of the cusps and center holes of adjacent teeth of the arranged crown.
[0147] For example, if the target tooth is a premolar or a molar, the crown arrangement device (1) can align the height of the marginal ridge of the crown with that of the adjacent tooth after aligning the cusp driving direction and the central groove driving direction of the crown with that of the adjacent tooth.
[0148] The crown arrangement device (1) can align the height of the marginal ridge of the crown with that of the adjacent tooth, and then align the direction of the cusp and the direction of the central groove of the crown with that of the adjacent tooth, if the target tooth is an incisor or a canine tooth.
[0149] The present invention has been described above, focusing on specific embodiments thereof. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the present invention can be implemented in modified forms without departing from its essential characteristics. Therefore, the disclosed embodiments should be considered illustrative rather than limiting. The scope of the present invention is set forth in the claims, not the foregoing description, and all differences within the scope equivalent thereto should be construed as being encompassed by the present invention.
