Abstract

An improvement applied to the perforator of an injection device for injecting substances of interest into eggs, specifically to the structural arrangement for sanitising the entire internal and external areas of the perforation cannula, and the associated operational logic for sanitisation, represent an inventive solution in the poultry farming sector, particularly in the 'substance inoculation' stage of fertile eggs, in which a specific system is widely used for this purpose, wherein the sanitisation must be ensured of both the entire internal and external areas of the perforation cannula of the perforator component of the egg injector device of the module for substance inoculation into eggs (M3), and all dry or non-sanitised areas (ANS) of the external area must be eliminated; to this end, an improved perforator component (IA) has been designed, having an annular channel (500) that encircles the entire external part of the upper connection end of the body (401) of the perforation cannula (40) and allows sanitising liquid to flow by gravity over the entire external surface of the body (401) until it reaches the bevelled tip (402) of the perforation cannula (40), thereby ensuring the complete sanitisation thereof.

[0050] a. Introduction

[0051] The injection of substances such as vaccines into live eggs (with embryos) is widely adopted by the poultry farming sector, as it provides beneficial effects on the health of the bird that will hatch from inside the egg in which it is gestated.

[0052] In this wake, this poultry farming sector realized that the intra-ovo injection of substances such as vaccines and / or nutrients It provides greater ease, control and final quality for the beneficial effects, than the practice of applying these substances to the bird already hatched from inside the egg.

[0053] This scenario occurs because it has been proven to be more efficient to keep eggs with embryos still and handle them in a controlled manner, which is much more complex to achieve for the condition of already hatched birds, as they present frantic movement.

[0054] b. Concept of intra-ovo inoculation of substances

[0055] Given the perceived convenience of intra-egg inoculation of birds with substances of interest, such as vaccines and / or nutrients, the poultry sector has benefited from the use of solutions for this purpose. The most basic concept, see figure 1b, can be described in a remissive manner as the technique in which forced inoculation is carried out on the shell (Ca) of the egg (Ov), using some pressurization tool, for example a perforator (Etl) or even physically forcing an opening in this shell (Ca).

[0056] Then, the intra-ovo inoculation of the substance of interest itself takes place using any needle arrangement (Et2), this being the most basic technique for this procedure, thus pouring the substance of interest, nutrient, for example, into the amniotic fluid (Li) and vaccine, for example, into the embryo (Em).

[0057] In this context, those skilled in the art of handling fertile eggs (Ov) know that as soon as the perforator (Etl) and needle (Et2) return their ends from inside this egg (Ov), they bring with them residual material formed made both by the substance of interest, such as vaccine or nutrient as organic material, such as amniotic fluid and even blood resulting from intravenous interference of the needle (Et2) as the epidermis of the embryo (Em).

[0058] In view of this scenario, it is mandatory to carry out a sanitization procedure for the piercing elements (Etl) and needle (Et2), with the main objective of providing their sterilization and consequently eliminating any risk of contamination of subsequent eggs (Ov) that will receive the next doses of substances of interest.

[0059] It is precisely in this context that the demand for the present invention resides, which preferably aims to make the intra-egg injection device at the limit of sanitization effectiveness, especially of the perforator component part (Etl).

[0060] c. Specific demand for the invention

[0061] For the present invention, having defined a perforating component part of the substance injector device of interest, the applicant identified the list of pressing needs:

[0062] - ensure that this "facilitates", or even makes it feasible to sanitize the entire internal area and the entire external area of the piercing cannula element belonging to the piercer;

[0063] - provide greater drainage capacity for the sanitizing solution;

[0064] - eliminate accumulation and sanitizing solution inside the injector device;

[0065] - eliminate any possibility of the sanitizing solution contaminating the egg in the next injection cycle;

[0066] - mitigate the accumulation of sanitizing solution in the space between the internal area of the piercing cannula and the area external of the needle positioned inside it; and

[0067] - mitigate friction between the injection needle and the piercing cannula. FIELD OF APPLICATION

[0068] The present invention patent with the title in the title and subject of description and claim in this document deals with an inventive solution that finds notable benefit in the poultry farming sector, intended for the reproduction of birds, and more specifically in the area of breeding and development of embryos for the breeding of avian species.

[0069] For better positioning of the application field, or technical field, those involved in industrial activity in the area of fertile egg production (Ov) know, as in the case illustrated in figure 1a, that this activity has embarked on a degree of complexity that involves the macro steps:

[0070] - Identification of fertile eggs;

[0071] - Inoculation of substances into fertile eggs; and

[0072] - Incubation of fertile eggs.

[0073] For the purposes of this patent, the invention finds specific utility in the step of "inoculation of substances" in fertile eggs (vaccines, nutrients and even vaccino-nutritional complexes).

[0074] In turn, the "inoculation of substances" stage has defined an equally complex system, formed by functional modules, see figure .la:

[0075] - Operational control module (Ml);

[0076] - Candling module (M2);

[0077] - Intra-ovo substance inoculation module (M3); and

[0078] - Treated fertile egg transfer module (M4), where, after being vaccinated, the eggs are transferred from the tray to the hatcher basket and then taken to the hatcher module itself.

[0079] In turn, the intra-ovo substance inoculation module (M3) has the following devices defined:

[0080] - Support platform device (d31);

[0081] - Device for injecting the substance of interest (d32);

[0082] - Injector stabilizing device (d33); and

[0083] - Sanitization device (d34).

[0084] For the purposes of the present invention, improvements specifically applied to the injector of the substance of interest (d32) were devised, see figure 1a, aiming to make the sanitization of the perforation cannula of the perforator component part (Etl) easier, in its entire external area and its internal area. INVENTION REQUIREMENTS

[0085] In line with the invention demand, the applicant devised the "IMPROVEMENT APPLIED TO A DRILLER FOR AN INTRA-EGG INJECTION DEVICE FOR SUBSTANCES OF INTEREST, NOTABLY IN THE CONSTRUCTION DISPOSITION FOR SANITIZING ALL INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL AREAS OF THE DRILLING CANNULA AND ITS SANITIZATION OPERATIONAL LOGIC" provided with novelty associated with inventive activity, as it does not arise in an obvious or evident manner from other techniques anticipated by the state of the art. unique, notably for the punch component part, providing advantages from a technical, industrial and commercial point of view.

[0086] In addition, the "invention" has industrial applicability, is economically viable and, therefore, meets the strict requirements for patentability, notably as an invention patent. FUNDAMENTALS OF TECHNIQUE

[0087] In order to provide veracity and consolidate the context explained in the topics of the introductory table, an explanation will be presented on the state of the art for intra-ovo injection devices, where after critical analysis of these, once evaluated by experts in the subject, their limiting aspects were identified, thus consolidating the identification of the previously mentioned demand.

[0088] a. From the conventional technique

[0089] Experts in the field of fertile egg (Ov) management, that is, in the condition illustrated in figure 1b, know that the concept of perforation and subsequent injection of intra-ovo substances is widely known in the state of the art, and research in patent databases consolidates this understanding, where it is pertinent to list:

[0090] Brazilian Patent PI 9207205-4 Bl, entitled "DEVICE FOR INJECTION INTO EGG" published on 18 / 04 / 2000;

[0091] D2 American patent US5438954A titled "METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INITIAL EMBRYO INJECTION IN OVO";

[0092] D3 European patent WO1999034667A1 entitled "DEVICE FOR AUTOMATED IN-OVO INJECTION";

[0093] D4 American patent US6286455B1 entitled "AUTOMATED IN-OVO INJECTION APPARATUS";

[0094] D5 American patent US6668753B2 titled "METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DISTRIBUTING FLUID TO EGG INJECTION DEVICES";

[0095] D6 American patent US20070215050A1 entitled "SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SANITIZING EGG PROCESSING EQUIPMENT";

[0096] D7 American patent US20060075973A1 entitled "METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR INJECTION AND SAMPLING OF MATERIAL THROUGH BIRD EGG MEMBRANES";

[0097] D8 American patent US20070044721A1 entitled "IN OVO INJECTION ADMINISTRATION DEVICE WITH INTEGRATED PUMP AND INJECTION NEEDLE";

[0098] D9 US Patent W02009002397A1 titled "METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DELIVERING VARIOUS SUBSTANCES IN OVO"; and

[0099] D10 American patent US20160007575A1 titled "HYGIENIZATION SYSTEM FOR AN EGG PROCESSING APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED METHOD".

[0100] For the purpose of better understanding the problem to be solved by the present invention, patent document Dl Brazilian Patent PI 9207205-4 Bl is chosen, being defined as a paradigm for the studies, notably to better understand the component part of interest, which is the punch (Eql). Figures .2a and .2b are partial representations of figures .7 and .8 of the aforementioned prior art document, where an injection needle (32) is described in detail; a punch (31) surrounding the needle (32) where it is defined an annular space between the two through which a sterilizing fluid (66) passes, where the punch (31) has two fluid outlet openings (70) defined, adjacent to and partially above the lower parts of said punch (31), where these openings (70) allow the sterilizing fluid to be moved to its external surface, sanitizing both the punch (31) and the needle (32).

[0101] As can be seen, this is a constructive configuration that dates back to the year 2000, and is even older when we consider that this Brazilian patent document is an extension of the American patent US5136979, published in 1992, that is, it dates back 3 decades.

[0102] In contemporary times, however, experts in the field verify that the concept of the perforator component part has not changed at all. However, to facilitate the identification of the problem to be solved, a contemporary configuration is presented as an example, for a conventional intra-egg injection device (Di), see Figure 3, formed by the component parts:

[0103] - eight-core cable (a), applied to stepper motor;

[0104] - connector (b) for input of the substance of interest to be injected into fertile eggs (Ov);

[0105] - connector (c3) for coupling the hose (cl) for supplying sanitizing substance;

[0106] - upper body (d) of the intra-ovo injector;

[0107] - intermediate body (e) of the intra-ovo injector;

[0108] - lower cup (f) of the intra-ovo injector; and

[0109] - needle (g) .

[0110] In turn, the component part drill (i) is assembled inside the lower body (f), with its construction concept described in figures .3a to .3e, formed by the construction sets:

[0111] - Flexible cup (1), made of polymeric material, formed by a flexible cup (11);

[0112] - upper block (2), made of solid, metallic or polymeric material, formed by a body (21) whose upper part has a defined funnel (22), the lower part of which has a defined opening (23) that defines the channel (24) that passes through to the extreme lower part of the body (21);

[0113] - Lower block (3), made of solid, metallic or polymeric material, formed by a body (31) whose upper part defines an orthogonal opening (32), passing through to the extreme lower part of the body (31); and

[0114] - Drilling cannula (4), made of metallic material, preferably surgical steel, formed by a tubular body (41), with a beveled (42) and sharp tip, where in its tubular body a through hole (43) is defined in the lower median portion of the body (41) and in the upper median portion a pair of perpendicular holes (44).

[0115] The conventional perforator assembly (I) is obtained from the assembly between the upper block (2) and lower block (3) with alignment between the channel (24) and orthogonal opening (32) to which the upper extreme part of the body (41) of the perforation cannula (4) is mounted, and the upper block (2) and lower block (3) assembly is dressed by the flexible cup (1).

[0116] b . Punch sanitization logic ( I )

[0117] As illustrated in figures .5a and .5b, when a flow of sanitizer (Fx) is applied from the opening (23), following the internal part of the body (41) of the piercing cannula (4) up to the beveled tip (42), and flowing to the external part of this body (41) firstly when it meets and exits through the perpendicular holes (44) and then when it meets and exits through the through hole (43).

[0118] c. Critical analysis - problem identification

[0119] As illustrated in figures 5a and 5b, although sanitization (SA) is carried out in the entire internal area of the body (41) of the perforation cannula (4), the same does not occur in its external area, where in its upper region, immediately below its fitting with the lower block (3), see white arrow, which is defined as the dry area (ANS), or non-sanitized area, since due to the constructive concept of the perforator (I) the Flow (Fx) of sanitizer does not reach this solution area. INVENTION PROPOSAL

[0120] a. Objective

[0121] The applicant, upon identifying the restrictive aspect previously listed, defined as the objective of the present invention the search for a solution that allows it to be solved and, as a consequence, makes feasible the list of needs identified in the Invention Demand topic. DISTINCTIVE FEATURE

[0122] The following detailed description must be read and interpreted with reference to the drawings presented, representing a preferred embodiment for the developed improvement applied to the punch component part (IA), and is not intended to limit the scope of the invention, which is limited only to that explained in the claims table.

[0123] a. Constructive concept of improvement

[0124] As illustrated in figures 6a to 6e, the improved punch component part (IA) in a first embodiment is formed by the construction assemblies:

[0125] - Flexible cup (1), made of polymeric material, formed by a flexible cup (11);

[0126] - upper block (20), made of solid, metallic or polymeric material, formed by a body (201) whose upper part has a defined funnel (202), the lower part of which has a defined central opening (203) that defines the channel (204) that passes through to the extreme lower part of the body (201), where adjacent to this opening (203) and respective channel (204) at least one opening (205) of a channel (206) is defined, which also passes through to the lower part of the body (201);

[0127] - Lower block (30), made of solid, metallic or polymeric material, formed by a body (301) whose upper part has defined channels (304) and (305), positioned in line with the channels (204) and (206) of the upper block (20), with these channels extending to the chamber (306), which in turn has a lower channel (302) defined at its bottom;

[0128] - Drilling cannula (40), made of metallic material, preferably surgical steel, formed by a tubular body (401), with a beveled (402) and sharp tip.

[0129] The improved perforator assembly (IA) is obtained from the assembly between the upper block (20) and the lower block (30) with alignment between the channels (204) and (206) with the channels (304) and (305) respectively, where the upper extreme part of the body (401) of the perforation cannula (40) is assembled, passing through the channel (302) and chamber (306) of the lower block (30) until its coupling with the channel (204) of the upper block (20) with a fitting stroke up to the upper end of this channel (204), where the upper block (20) and lower block (30) assembly is dressed by the flexible cup (1).

[0130] Finally, once the improved perforator (IA) has been assembled, an annular channel (500) is defined in the lower part of the lower block (30), which surrounds the entire external part of the upper fitting end of the body (401) of the perforation cannula (40).

[0131] b. Improved Punch Sanitization Logic (AI)

[0132] As illustrated in figure .7a, body sanitization (401) of the piercing cannula (40) is carried out by feeding a flow of sanitizer (Fx) that feeds the funnel (202) of the upper block (20), and then two flow paths are defined:

[0133] - Sanitization of the internal part of the piercing cannula (40), where the internal flow (Fxi) of sanitizer penetrates the internal part of the body (401) and describes a linear flow in which it sweeps its entire internal area until exiting through the beveled tip (402) ;

[0134] - Sanitization of the external part of the piercing cannula (40), where the external flow (Fxe) of sanitizer penetrates the channels (206) of the upper block (20), and continues until it finds and passes through the channels (305) of the lower block (30), flowing into the chamber (306) and then flowing through the annular channel (500), which surrounds the entire external part of the upper fitting end of the body (401) of the piercing cannula (40), which by gravity flows across the entire external surface of the body (401) until it meets the beveled tip (402) of the piercing cannula (40).

[0135] The choice of the preferred embodiment of the invention claimed in this patent, described in this detail section, is provided by way of example only. Changes, modifications, and variations may be made to any other embodiment of the improved punch (IA), changes that may be devised by those skilled in the art without, however, diverging from the objective disclosed in the claim of this patent, which is exclusively defined by the appended claims.

[0136] In this vein, in a second embodiment of the improved perforator (IA) that can be applied considering the introduction of only one channel (206) in the upper block (20), see figures .8a to .8e to the respective channel (305) in the lower block (30), the logic of the washing flow with sanitizing liquid being presented in figures .9a and .9b, that is, similar to that developed for the first embodiment (see figures .7a / .7b), where the supply of this liquid passes through the only channel (206) reaching the respective channel (305) being finally distributed homogeneously in the chamber (306) to finally be distributed also homogeneously homogeneous throughout the external area of the body (401) of the drilling cannula (40).

[0137] Finally, in an example of a third alternative embodiment, it can be applied considering the introduction of multiple channels (206) in the upper block (20), see figures .10a, .10b and .10c and respective multiple channels (305) in the lower block (30), see figures .11a, .11b and .11c.

[0138] It can be seen from what has been described and illustrated that the "IMPROVEMENT APPLIED TO THE DRILLER OF THE INTRA-OVO INJECTION DEVICE FOR SUBSTANCES OF INTEREST, NOTABLY IN THE CONSTRUCTION DISPOSITION FOR SANITIZING ALL THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL AREAS OF THE DRILLING CANNULA AND ITS SANITIZATION OPERATIONAL LOGIC" now claimed complies with the rules governing the invention patent in light of the Industrial Property Law, deserving, for what has been exposed and as a consequence, the respective privilege.
