[0102] FIG. 7 is a diagram illustrating a method for processing a transmission signal applied to the present disclosure. For example, the transmission signal may be processed by a signal processing circuit. At this time, the signal processing circuit (700) may include a scrambler (710), a modulator (720), a layer mapper (730), a precoder (740), a resource mapper (750), and a signal generator (760). At this time, as an example, the operations / functions of FIG. 7 may be performed in the processors (202a, 202b) and / or the transceivers (206a, 206b) of FIG. 2. Furthermore, as an example, the hardware elements of FIG. 7 may be implemented in the processors (202a, 202b) and / or the transceivers (206a, 206b) of FIG. 2. As an example, blocks 710 to 760 may be implemented in the processors (202a, 202b) of FIG. 2. Additionally, blocks 710 to 750 may be implemented in the processor (202a, 202b) of FIG. 2, and block 760 may be implemented in the transceiver (206a, 206b) of FIG. 2, and are not limited to the above-described embodiments.

[0103] The codeword can be converted into a wireless signal through the signal processing circuit (700) of FIG. 7. Here, the codeword is an encoded bit sequence of an information block. The information block may include a transport block (e.g., a UL-SCH transport block, a DL-SCH transport block). The wireless signal may be transmitted through various physical channels (e.g., a PUSCH, a PDSCH). Specifically, the codeword can be converted into a bit sequence scrambled by a scrambler (710). The scramble sequence used for scrambling is generated based on an initialization value, and the initialization value may include ID information of the wireless device, etc. The scrambled bit sequence can be modulated into a modulation symbol sequence by a modulator (720). The modulation scheme may include pi / 2-binary phase shift keying (pi / 2-BPSK), m-phase shift keying (m-PSK), m-quadrature amplitude modulation (m-QAM), etc.

[0104] A complex modulation symbol sequence can be mapped to one or more transmission layers by a layer mapper (730). The modulation symbols of each transmission layer can be mapped to the corresponding antenna port(s) by a precoder (740) (precoding). The output z of the precoder (740) can be obtained by multiplying the output y of the layer mapper (730) by an N*M precoding matrix W. Here, N is the number of antenna ports, and M is the number of transmission layers. Here, the precoder (740) can perform precoding after performing transform precoding (e.g., discrete Fourier transform (DFT) transform) on the complex modulation symbols. In addition, the precoder (740) can perform precoding without performing transform precoding.

[0105] The resource mapper (750) can map modulation symbols of each antenna port to time-frequency resources. The time-frequency resources can include multiple symbols (e.g., CP-OFDMA symbols, DFT-s-OFDMA symbols) in the time domain and multiple subcarriers in the frequency domain. The signal generator (760) generates a wireless signal from the mapped modulation symbols, and the generated wireless signal can be transmitted to another device through each antenna. To this end, the signal generator (760) can include an inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) module, a cyclic prefix (CP) inserter, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), a frequency uplink converter, and the like.

[0106] The signal processing process for receiving signals in a wireless device can be configured in reverse order of the signal processing process (710 to 760) of FIG. 7. For example, a wireless device (e.g., 200a and 200b of FIG. 2) can receive wireless signals from the outside through an antenna port / transceiver. The received wireless signals can be converted into baseband signals through a signal restorer. For this purpose, the signal restorer can include a frequency downlink converter, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a CP remover, and a fast Fourier transform (FFT) module. Thereafter, the baseband signal can be restored to a codeword through a resource demapper process, a postcoding process, a demodulation process, and a descrambling process. The codewords can be restored to the original information blocks through decoding. Accordingly, a signal processing circuit (not shown) for a received signal may include a signal restorer, a resource de-mapper, a postcoder, a demodulator, a de-scrambler, and a decoder.

[0107] 6G communication system

[0108] The 6G (wireless communication) system aims to achieve (i) very high data rates per device, (ii) a very large number of connected devices, (iii) global connectivity, (iv) very low latency, (v) low energy consumption for battery-free IoT devices, (vi) ultra-reliable connectivity, and (vii) connected intelligence with machine learning capabilities. The vision of the 6G system can be divided into four aspects: "intelligent connectivity," "deep connectivity," "holographic connectivity," and "ubiquitous connectivity," and the 6G system can satisfy the requirements as shown in Table 1 below. In other words, Table 1 is a table showing the requirements of the 6G system.

[0109] Per device peak data rate1 TbpsE2E latency1 msMaximum spectral efficiency100 bps / HzMobility supportup to 1000 km / hrSatellite integrationFullyAIFullyAutonomous vehicleFullyXRFullyHaptic CommunicationFully

[0110] At this time, the 6G system may have key factors such as enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC), massive machine type communications (mMTC), AI integrated communication, tactile internet, high throughput, high network capacity, high energy efficiency, low backhaul and access network congestion, and enhanced data security.

[0111] FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating an example of a communication structure that can be provided in a 6G system applicable to the present disclosure.

[0112] Referring to Figure 8, 6G systems are expected to have 50 times higher simultaneous wireless connectivity than 5G wireless systems. URLLC, a key feature of 5G, is expected to become a more prominent technology in 6G communications, providing end-to-end latency of less than 1 ms. Furthermore, 6G systems will have significantly better volumetric spectral efficiency, unlike the commonly used area spectral efficiency. 6G systems can offer extremely long battery life and advanced battery technologies for energy harvesting, eliminating the need for separate charging for mobile devices in 6G systems.

[0113] Core implementation technology of 6G systems

[0114] - Artificial Intelligence (AI)

[0115] The most crucial and newly introduced technology for 6G systems is AI. 4G systems did not involve AI. 5G systems will support partial or very limited AI. However, 6G systems will fully support AI for automation. Advances in machine learning will create more intelligent networks for real-time communications in 6G. Incorporating AI into communications can streamline and improve real-time data transmission. AI can use numerous analyses to determine how complex target tasks should be performed. In other words, AI can increase efficiency and reduce processing delays.

[0116] Time-consuming tasks such as handover, network selection, and resource scheduling can be performed instantly using AI. AI can also play a crucial role in machine-to-machine (M2M), machine-to-human, and human-to-machine communications. Furthermore, AI can facilitate rapid communication in brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). AI-based communication systems can be supported by metamaterials, intelligent structures, intelligent networks, intelligent devices, intelligent cognitive radios, self-sustaining wireless networks, and machine learning.

[0117] Recent attempts to integrate AI into wireless communication systems have focused on the application layer and network layer, particularly deep learning in wireless resource management and allocation. However, this research is increasingly evolving to the MAC layer and physical layer, with attempts to combine deep learning with wireless transmission, particularly in the physical layer. AI-based physical layer transmission refers to applying AI-based signal processing and communication mechanisms, rather than traditional communication frameworks, in the fundamental signal processing and communication mechanisms. For example, this may include deep learning-based channel coding and decoding, deep learning-based signal estimation and detection, deep learning-based multiple input multiple output (MIMO) mechanisms, and AI-based resource scheduling and allocation.

[0118] Machine learning can be used for channel estimation and channel tracking, as well as for power allocation and interference cancellation at the physical layer of the downlink (DL). Machine learning can also be used for antenna selection, power control, and symbol detection in MIMO systems.

[0119] However, the application of DNN for transmission at the physical layer may have the following problems.

[0120] Deep learning-based AI algorithms require a large amount of training data to optimize training parameters. However, due to limitations in obtaining training data from specific channel environments, a large amount of training data is used offline. This means that static training on training data in specific channel environments can lead to conflicts with the dynamic characteristics and diversity of the wireless channel.

[0121] Furthermore, current deep learning primarily targets real-world signals. However, signals at the physical layer of wireless communications are complex signals. Further research is needed on neural networks capable of detecting complex domain signals to match the characteristics of wireless communication signals.

[0122] Below, we will look at machine learning in more detail.

[0123] Machine learning refers to a series of operations that train machines to perform tasks that humans can or cannot perform. Machine learning requires data and a learning model. In machine learning, data learning methods can be broadly categorized into three types: supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning.

[0124] Neural network training aims to minimize output errors. It involves repeatedly inputting training data into a neural network, calculating the neural network output and target error for the training data, and backpropagating the neural network error from the output layer to the input layer to update the weights of each node in the neural network to reduce the error.

[0125] Supervised learning uses labeled training data, while unsupervised learning may not have labeled training data. For example, in the case of supervised learning for data classification, the training data may be data in which each training data category is labeled. The labeled training data is input to a neural network, and the error can be calculated by comparing the output (categories) of the neural network with the training data labels. The calculated error is backpropagated through the neural network in the backward direction (i.e., from the output layer to the input layer), and the connection weights of each node in each layer of the neural network can be updated through backpropagation. The amount of change in the connection weights of each updated node can be determined by the learning rate. The neural network's calculation of the input data and the backpropagation of the error can constitute a learning cycle (epoch). The learning rate can be applied differently depending on the number of iterations of the neural network's learning cycle. For example, in the early stages of training a neural network, a high learning rate can be used to quickly allow the network to achieve a certain level of performance, thereby increasing efficiency. In the later stages of training, a low learning rate can be used to increase accuracy.

[0126] Learning methods may vary depending on the characteristics of the data. For example, if the goal is to accurately predict data transmitted by a transmitter in a communication system, supervised learning is preferable to unsupervised learning or reinforcement learning.

[0127] The learning model corresponds to the human brain, and the most basic linear model can be thought of, but the machine learning paradigm that uses highly complex neural network structures, such as artificial neural networks, as learning models is called deep learning.

[0128] The neural network cores used in learning methods are mainly deep neural networks (DNN), convolutional deep neural networks (CNN), and recurrent Boltzmann machines (RNN), and these learning models can be applied.

[0129] THz (Terahertz) communication

[0130] THz communications can be applied in 6G systems. For example, data transmission rates can be increased by increasing bandwidth. This can be achieved by using sub-THz communications with wide bandwidths and applying advanced massive MIMO technology.

[0131] FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating an electromagnetic spectrum applicable to the present disclosure. For example, referring to FIG. 9, THz waves, also known as sub-millimeter radiation, typically represent a frequency band between 0.1 THz and 10 THz with a corresponding wavelength ranging from 0.03 mm to 3 mm. The 100 GHz to 300 GHz band (Sub-THz band) is considered a major portion of the THz band for cellular communications. Adding the Sub-THz band to the mmWave band will increase the capacity of 6G cellular communications. Among the defined THz bands, 300 GHz to 3 THz is in the far infrared (IR) frequency band. Although the 300 GHz to 3 THz band is part of the optical band, it is at the boundary of the optical band and lies just behind the RF band. Therefore, this 300 GHz to 3 THz band exhibits similarities to RF.

[0132] Key characteristics of THz communications include (i) the widely available bandwidth to support very high data rates and (ii) the high path loss that occurs at high frequencies (requiring highly directional antennas). The narrow beamwidths generated by highly directional antennas reduce interference. The small wavelength of THz signals allows for a significantly larger number of antenna elements to be integrated into devices and base stations operating in this band. This enables the use of advanced adaptive array technologies to overcome range limitations.

[0133] Terahertz (THz) wireless communications

[0134] FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating a THz communication method applicable to the present disclosure.

[0135] Referring to Fig. 10, THz wireless communication is a wireless communication using THz waves with a frequency of approximately 0.1 to 10 THz (1 THz = 1012 Hz), and may refer to terahertz (THz) band wireless communication using a very high carrier frequency of 100 GHz or higher. THz waves are located between the RF (Radio Frequency) / millimeter (mm) and infrared bands, and (i) compared to visible light / infrared rays, they penetrate non-metallic / non-polarizable materials well, and compared to RF / millimeter waves, they have a shorter wavelength, so they have high straightness and can enable beam focusing.

[0136] In communication systems, transmission modes can be divided into full-duplex radio (FDR) mode and half-duplex radio (HDR) mode. By using the same frequency band for downlink and uplink channels, FDR systems can increase spectral efficiency by up to two times compared to existing HDR systems. This has led to their emergence as a key technology for next-generation mobile communication systems.

[0137] From the perspective of any wireless device, FDR technology using a single frequency transmission band can be defined as a transmission resource configuration method that simultaneously performs transmission and reception through a single frequency transmission band. As a specific example, FDR technology can be expressed as a transmission resource configuration method that simultaneously performs downlink transmission and uplink reception of a base station, and downlink reception and uplink transmission of a wireless terminal through a single frequency transmission band for wireless communication between a general access node (e.g., a base station, a repeater, a relay node, a remote radio head (RRH), etc.) and a wireless terminal. As another example, FDR technology can be expressed as a transmission resource configuration method that simultaneously performs transmission and reception between wireless terminals in the same frequency transmission band in a device-to-device direct communication (D2D) situation between wireless terminals.

[0138] Hereinafter, the present disclosure describes proposed technologies related to FDR by taking as an example the case of wireless transmission and reception between a general base station and a wireless terminal, but the various proposed embodiments can also be applied to a network wireless device that performs wireless transmission and reception with a terminal other than a general base station, and further can be applied to a case of direct communication between terminals.

[0139] Overview of the FDR system and interference factors in FDR

[0140] First, we describe an overview of the FDR system and the interference elements within it. Figure 11 is a conceptual diagram illustrating a terminal and base station supporting FDR according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In an FDR situation like that shown in Figure 11, the following three types of interference may exist.

[0141] Intra-device self-interference: Since transmission and reception occur within the same time and frequency resources, both the desired signal and the self-transmitted signal are received simultaneously. This means that the self-transmitted signal is received by the receiving antenna with minimal attenuation, resulting in interference with the desired signal, as it is received with significantly greater power than the desired signal.

[0142] UE to UE inter-link interference: This refers to the situation where an uplink signal transmitted by a terminal is received by an adjacent terminal and acts as interference.

[0143] BS to BS inter-link interference: This refers to the interference that occurs when a signal transmitted between base stations or between different base stations (picocell, femtocell, relay node) in a HetNet situation is received by the receiving antenna of another base station.

[0144] Among the three types of interference mentioned above, intra-device self-interference (SI) occurs only in FDR systems. SI significantly degrades the performance of FDR systems and is considered the most critical issue to address before operating them.

[0145] FIG. 12 is a diagram illustrating an example of a transmission / reception link and self-interference in an FDR communication situation according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0146] As shown in Figure 12, SI can be divided into direct interference, where the signal transmitted from the transmitting antenna directly enters the receiving antenna without any path attenuation, and reflected interference, where the signal is reflected by the surrounding terrain. The magnitude of direct and reflected interference is typically greater than that of the intended signal due to the difference in physical distance. Due to this large interference strength, effective SI cancellation is essential for the operation of the FDR system.

[0147] In order for the FDR system to operate effectively, the requirements for self-interference cancellation (self-IC) according to the maximum transmission power can be determined as shown in [Table 2] below.

[0148] Node TypeMax. Tx Power (P A )Thermal Noise(BW=20MHz)Receiver NFReceiver Thermal Noise LevelSelf-IC Target(P A - TN-NF) Macro eNB46dBm-101dBm5dB(for eNB)-96dBm142 dBPico eNB30dBm126 dBFemto eNB,WLAN AP23dBm119 dBUE23dBm9dB(for UE)-92dBm115 dB

[0149] Depending on the bandwidth of the mobile communication system, the thermal noise value can be determined by, and [Table 2] shows an example of thermal noise assuming a bandwidth of 20 MHz. The receiver NF (receiver noise figure) is an example that considers the worst case of the 3GPP standard requirements. The receiver thermal noise level is determined by the sum of the thermal noise and the receiver NF at a specific BW.

[0150] Referring to [Table 2], we can see that a terminal requires a self-interference cancellation performance of 119 dBm to effectively operate an FDR system over a 20 MHz bandwidth. To achieve this performance, three stages of self-interference cancellation techniques exist, detailed below.

[0151] Antenna self-interference cancellation (antenna self-IC): This is the most important of all self-interference cancellation techniques, and SI cancellation is performed at the antenna level. In the simplest case, some SI signals can be removed by physically blocking the transmission of the SI signal by installing a signal-blocking object between the transmitting and receiving antennas. Alternatively, some SI signals can be removed by artificially adjusting the distance between the antennas using multiple antennas or by inverting the phase of a specific transmission signal. Furthermore, some SI signals can be removed by utilizing multi-polarized or directional antennas.

[0152] Analog self-interference cancellation (AIC): A technique for removing interference at the analog stage before the received signal passes through the analog-to-digital converter (ADC). This technique uses a replicated analog signal to remove SI signals. This can be performed in the RF or IF domain.

[0153] The SI signal removal method is described specifically as follows. First, the transmitted analog signal is time-delayed, then the amplitude and phase are adjusted to create a replica of the SI signal actually received, which is then subtracted from the signal received by the receiving antenna. However, because it processes using analog signals, additional distortion may occur due to implementation complexity and circuit characteristics, which can significantly affect interference removal performance.

[0154] Digital self-interference cancellation (DIC): This technique eliminates interference after the received signal passes through the ADC. It encompasses all interference cancellation techniques implemented in the baseband domain. The simplest implementation involves using the transmitted digital signal to create a replica signal of SI and subtracting it from the received digital signal. Alternatively, techniques that utilize multiple antennas to perform precoding / postcoding at the baseband to prevent the transmitted signal to the terminal or base station from being received by the receiving antenna can also be classified as digital self-interference cancellation.

[0155] However, since digital self-interference cancellation is possible only when the digitally modulated signal is quantized to a degree that information about the desired signal can be restored, a prerequisite for performing digital self-interference cancellation is that the difference in signal power between the remaining interference signal after removing interference using one or more of the above techniques and the desired signal must fall within the ADC range.

[0156] The application locations of the three self-interference cancellation techniques described above are as shown in FIG. 13 below. FIG. 13 is a diagram showing the application locations of the three interference techniques in an RF (radio frequency) front end according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 13, antenna cancellation, which performs antenna self-interference cancellation, is applied in the antenna section, analog cancellation, which performs analog self-interference cancellation, is applied in the section including the mixer that converts a baseband signal into an RF signal, and digital cancellation, which performs digital self-interference cancellation, is applied in the section before the input of a DAC (digital to analog converter) and after the output of an ADC (analog to digital converter).

[0157] FIG. 14 is a diagram illustrating the structure of a transceiver for canceling self-interference in a communication device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In FIG. 14, a digital cancellation block that performs digital self-interference cancellation is illustrated as performing interference cancellation using a digital self-interference signal (digital SI) before the DAC and after the ADC. However, according to another example, digital self-interference cancellation may be performed using the digital SI after the IFFT and before the FFT. Furthermore, although FIG. 14 illustrates a structure that cancels self-interference signals by separating the transmit antenna and the receive antenna, according to another example, an antenna interference cancellation technique using a single antenna may be used. In this case, the antenna structure may be different from the example of FIG. 14. To this end, additional functional blocks suitable for the purpose may be added or deleted.

[0158] Signal modeling of the FDR system

[0159] Because the FDR system uses the same frequency for both the transmit and receive signals, it is significantly affected by non-linear components in the RF. In particular, the transmit signal is distorted by the non-linear characteristics of active components such as the power amplifier (PA) in the transmit RF chain and the low noise amplifier (LNA) in the receive RF chain, and distortion can also occur due to the mixer in the transmit and receive RF chains. Due to this distortion, the transmit signal can be modeled as generating high-order components. Among these, even-order components occur in the high-frequency region around the direct current (DC) and several times the center frequency, so they can be effectively removed using conventional alternative current (AC) coupling or filtering techniques. However, odd-order components occur adjacent to the existing center frequency, so unlike even-order components, they are not easily removed and have a significant impact on reception. Considering the non-linear characteristics of these odd-order components, the received signal after the ADC in the FDR system can be expressed using the PH (parallel hammerstein) model as shown in [Mathematical Equation 1] below.

[0160]

[0161] In [Equation 1], y(n) is the received signal, h D (n) is the channel through which the desired data passes, x D (n) is the desired data to be received, h SI,k (n) is the self-channel experienced by the transmitted data, x SI (n) represents the transmitted data, and z(n) represents AWGN (additive white Gaussian noise). h SI,k(n) is a linear component when k is 1, and a non-linear component when k is an odd value greater than or equal to 3.

[0162] To utilize this FDR system, terminals and base stations can communicate by selecting either full-duplex or half-duplex transmission mode depending on the channel environment. However, since each terminal may support the FDR system and have different support capabilities for full-duplex transmission mode (e.g., interference cancellation capabilities), the base station may need to individually determine the transmission mode for each terminal to ensure efficient data transmission and reception. Therefore, the base station needs a method that can determine full-duplex or half-duplex transmission mode according to the circumstances of each terminal based on the support capabilities of the terminal and the services used by the terminal. Furthermore, when the transmission mode is changed, a method is needed to switch the communication system to the corresponding transmission mode.

[0163] In the existing patent (Adaptive operational full-duplex and half-duplex FDD modes in wireless networks, US8542617), a TA (timing advance) threshold is used as a measure to be used for FD / half-duplex transmission mode switching. Since the TA value represents the time it takes for an uplink signal to reach the base station, this value can correspond to the distance between the terminal and the base station. Accordingly, the base station can determine that the terminal is located close to the base station if the TA value is small, and that the terminal is located far from the base station if the TA value is large. Based on the TA value, a method is used in which the terminal operates in full-duplex transmission mode when it is close to the base station, and in half-duplex transmission mode when it is far away.

[0164] In this way, existing methods determine the transmission mode solely based on the TA value and the availability of full-duplex transmission mode. Therefore, these methods are not suitable for optimizing communication systems in future environments where terminals with varying full-duplex transmission mode support capabilities will coexist.

[0165] Accordingly, the present disclosure defines the support capability for each terminal transmission mode as a measure of linear and nonlinear magnetic signal rejection capability, and proposes a method for subdividing the linear / nonlinear magnetic interference rejection support capability of each terminal.

[0166] According to the present disclosure, a base station can operate communication more efficiently than existing methods in an environment where terminals supporting full-duplex transmission mode or half-duplex transmission mode are mixed. Furthermore, the base station can manage transmission modes by segmenting the ability to eliminate self-interference between terminals supporting full-duplex transmission mode, thereby expanding the coverage area supporting full-duplex transmission mode compared to existing methods. To this end, the base station needs to know whether each terminal can support full-duplex transmission mode and its ability to respond to nonlinear self-interference, and the details for this are described below.

[0167] FIG. 15 is a diagram illustrating an example of an expanded radius supporting a full-duplex transmission mode according to nonlinear self-interference cancellation according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In FIG. 15, when a terminal supporting a full-duplex transmission mode receives a signal from a base station, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) required is S req The uplink transmission signal power transmitted by the full-duplex transmission mode as shown in Fig. 15 is P U , the downlink transmission signal power received at a specific distance is P D Assume that.

[0168] Referring to Figure 15, we can see the change in power spectrum according to the distance between the terminal and the base station. The first position and the second position refer to the positions when the distance between the terminal and the base station is d1 and d2. In the first position, P U1 The uplink signal power corresponding to P' is determined by self-interference cancellation. U1 Attenuates by . At this time, the channel power (C / N) compared to the noise power of the downlink reception signal is P D1 -P' U1 can be secured. The terminal and base station can use the full-duplex transmission mode if the secured C / N is above the threshold value for signal restoration. Hereinafter, the first position will be described as the limit position where full-duplex transmission mode can be operated by the conventional method of linear self-interference cancellation. At the second position further than the first position, the received downlink transmission signal power is P D2 can be reduced to P, and the uplink signal power is P for transmission over long distances. U2 can be increased. Therefore, the terminal is [(P U2 - P U1 )+(P D1 - P D2 )], transmission and reception can be performed while maintaining the full-duplex transmission mode even in the second location. Therefore, depending on the nonlinear magnetic interference cancellation capability of the terminal, the radius supporting the full-duplex transmission mode can be increased, and communication efficiency can be improved.

[0169] FIG. 16 is a diagram illustrating a non-linear interference canceller according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. A transmission signal x(n) is input to a wireless transceiver (1610) and a pre-computation part (1605). A terminal transmits the signal x(n) through a transmission antenna of the wireless transmitter (1610) and receives a reception signal from another device and a self-interference signal generated by x(n) through a reception antenna. The terminal can remove a high-frequency region portion by passing the signal received through the reception antenna through a low pass filter (LPF) (1603). At this time, as described above, the even-order self-interference component can be effectively removed because it occurs in a high-frequency region corresponding to several times the DC (direct current) periphery and the center frequency. In the pre-computation unit (1605), odd-order signals among the signals of x(n) are calculated, and the terminal applies weights h1 to hp to each of the odd-order signals, adds them all together, and subtracts the result from the signal that has passed through the LPF (1603). The terminal can update the weights h1 to hp of the least mean square (LMS) filter (1607) for optimization.

[0170] Devices that perform nonlinear interference cancellation may need to remove higher-order harmonic components corresponding to nonlinear interference along with linear magnetic interference. As shown in Fig. 16, nonlinear interference cancellers have a more complex structure than devices that only cancel linear magnetic interference, and require a large amount of computation and power consumption. Therefore, a transceiver that supports full-duplex transmission mode can reduce the power consumption of the transceiver by performing communication by distinguishing between cases where only linear magnetic interference cancellation is performed and cases where nonlinear magnetic interference cancellation is also required.

[0171] If a terminal operating in full-duplex mode with linear self-interference cancellation is located at the edge of the full-duplex transmission mode support radius, if nonlinear self-interference cancellation can provide additional gain, self-interference signal distortion due to nonlinear distortion can be overcome, and the radius in which full-duplex transmission mode can be utilized can be expanded. Therefore, the base station can determine the transmission mode based on information about the duplex support ability of each terminal, enabling more efficient operation than operation that simply considers the TA value.

[0172] 3GPP TS38.311 stipulates that the UE capability information field can include operational information for each UE. Therefore, the following information can be added to this field:

[0173] Duplex_Supportability ::= ENUMERATE {Duplex_support_level0, Duplex_support_level1, Duplex_support_level2}

[0174] NonliearSIC_capability ::= {0,5,10,15,20,25,30} or {0,1,2,...,N}

[0175] At this time, the dual communication support capability and nonlinear interference rejection capability can be classified as shown in [Table 3] and [Table 4] below.

[0176] UE categorizationContentsNoteDuplex_support_level0Only Half duplex operation is supported.UE does not have the full duplex capability.Duplex_support_level1Full duplex operation is capable, but the capability is limited to the linear SIC level.UE does not have the ability to cancel the nonlinear self interference.Duplex_support_level2Full duplex operation is capable and extended to the nonlinear SIC level.UE has the ability to cancel the nonlinear self interference.

[0177] Nonlinear SIC Capability LevelContentsNoteNonlinearSIC_capability{0,5,10,15,20,25,30} or {0,1, 2,...,30}Additional nonlinear Capability level(dB)

[0178] Therefore, when establishing an RRC connection, the base station can receive dual communication support capability information and nonlinear interference rejection capability information of each terminal from the terminals through the UE capability information message.

[0179] For example, the duplex communication support capability can be divided into three levels as shown in [Table 3]. Level 0 means a terminal that does not support full-duplex transmission mode, Level 1 means a terminal that supports full-duplex transmission mode but only guarantees performance for linear distortion, and Level 2 means a terminal that supports full-duplex transmission mode and can operate even with nonlinear distortion. In addition, as additional information for nonlinear self-interference cancellation, nonlinear self-interference cancellation capability information can be defined. The terminal measures the size of the nonlinear self-interference cancellation capability for the transmitted signal power, and the base station can receive the size of the nonlinear interference cancellation capability from a terminal corresponding to duplex communication support level 2 as shown in [Table 4].

[0180] If a terminal is operating in linear self-interference cancellation mode near the boundary that supports full-duplex transmission mode, the terminal's transmission power may increase and the level of self-interference may increase as the distance between the terminal and the base station increases. In this case, if the base station determines that full-duplex transmission mode is maintainable after considering the terminal's nonlinear self-interference cancellation capability, the base station may instruct the terminal to operate in nonlinear self-interference cancellation mode and maintain full-duplex transmission mode.

[0181] Through this, the base station can operate the terminal in linear self-interference cancellation mode when the distance is relatively short, so that it can have advantages in terms of convergence time and power usage, and when the distance is far and the required self-interference signal cancellation gain is large, the terminal can be operated in nonlinear self-interference cancellation mode while maintaining full-duplex transmission mode.

[0182] FIG. 17 is a diagram illustrating signaling for a base station (1720) to receive information regarding self-interference cancellation of a terminal (1710) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Referring to FIG. 17, the base station can receive information regarding self-interference cancellation from the terminal through an RRC message during the initial registration process.

[0183] In step S1701, the base station (1720) transmits a UE capability inquiry message to the terminal (1710). Through the UE capability inquiry message, the base station (1720) can request information on connection status release, dual communication support capability, and nonlinear interference cancellation from the terminal.

[0184] In step S1703, the terminal (1710) that received the UE capability inquiry message from the base station (1720) transmits a UE capability information message to the base station (1720). The UE capability information message includes information on the dual communication support capability and nonlinear interference cancellation of the terminal (1710), and may be transmitted in an indexed form as shown in [Table 3] and [Table 4].

[0185] Although the terminals are classified into three categories in this disclosure, they may be classified into two or fewer or four or more categories, and the number of categories is not limited to a specific number. Furthermore, the nonlinear interference cancellation capability levels may be configured in different ranges and intervals, such as {0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, ..., 20}, and are not limited to specific ranges and intervals.

[0186] In another embodiment of the present disclosure, a terminal may determine the additional self-interference cancellation margin required in the current situation, compare the margin with the terminal's self-interference cancellation capability, and transmit the result to the base station. A 1-bit field, as shown in [Table 5], may be defined for this purpose.

[0187] FieldBitwidthSIC Margin Check1

[0188] If the terminal can overcome the additional interference due to additional self-interference cancellation, the terminal can assign 1 to the SIC margin check field and transmit it to the base station, and if it cannot overcome, the terminal can assign 0. The SIC margin check field can be transmitted in various ways. For example, the terminal can transmit the SIC margin check field value to the base station through the PUCCH (physical uplink control channel), and at this time, it can be transmitted as included in the UCI (uplink control information). As another example, the terminal can also transmit the SIC margin check field value through the PUSCH (physical uplink shared channel). The method for transmitting whether or not it can be overcome is not limited to the above-described method and can be implemented in various forms.

[0189] FIG. 18 is a flowchart illustrating a process in which a terminal and a base station operate in a full-duplex or half-duplex transmission mode based on a dual communication support capability level and a nonlinear self-interference cancellation capability according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0190] In step S1801, the terminal performs an RRC connection with the base station. The RRC connection procedure can be performed using methods such as an RRC connection establishment procedure or an RRC reconfiguration procedure. Before performing the RRC connection procedure, the terminal can transmit information regarding the dual communication support capability level and nonlinear self-interference cancellation capability to the base station. As described above, the dual communication support capability level and nonlinear self-interference cancellation capability can be indexed and included in the UE capability information message. If the transmission mode is not determined, the half-duplex transmission mode can be set as the default value, and the RRC connection procedure can be performed in the half-duplex transmission mode.

[0191] In step S1803, the base station determines the transmission mode based on the dual communication support capability level received from the terminal. If the dual communication support capability level is 0, step S1805 is performed. If it is level 1, step S1807 is performed. If it is level 2, step S1809 is performed.

[0192] At step S1805, the base station and the terminal communicate in half-duplex mode. To this end, the base station may transmit a message to the terminal instructing it to communicate in half-duplex mode. Alternatively, if the terminal is configured to operate in half-duplex mode without a specific instruction, communication may continue in half-duplex mode without any further instruction.

[0193] In step S1807, the terminal communicates in full-duplex transmission mode using linear self-interference cancellation. To achieve this, the base station may instruct the terminal to communicate in half-duplex transmission mode using only linear self-interference cancellation. If the terminal exceeds the boundary where it can operate in full-duplex transmission mode, the base station may instruct the terminal to operate in half-duplex transmission mode.

[0194] In step S1809, the base station determines whether nonlinear interference cancellation is necessary. If nonlinear interference cancellation is not necessary, step S1807 is performed, thereby saving terminal power. If nonlinear interference cancellation is necessary, step S1811 is performed.

[0195] In step S1811, the terminal performs communication in full-duplex transmission mode using nonlinear self-interference cancellation. To this end, the base station can instruct the terminal to communicate in half-duplex transmission mode using nonlinear self-interference cancellation. Subsequently, the process returns to step S1809 and monitors whether nonlinear interference cancellation is still necessary. Therefore, the base station can detect cases where nonlinear interference cancellation is not necessary and instruct step S1807 to be performed.

[0196] FIG. 19 is a diagram illustrating a procedure for a terminal to perform full-duplex communication based on a dual communication support capability according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. First, in FIG. 19, if there is no separate setting for dual communication between the terminal and the base station, communication may be configured to be performed in a half-duplex transmission mode. In step S1901, the terminal transmits terminal capability information related to full-duplex communication to the base station. The terminal capability information may include at least one of information regarding the terminal's connection state release, dual communication support capability, and nonlinear interference cancellation. The base station may request the terminal to transmit terminal capability information related to full-duplex communication by transmitting a UE capability inquiry message. Thereafter, the terminal may receive the UE capability inquiry message and transmit a UE capability information message including the information requested by the base station to the base station.

[0197] Among terminal capability information related to full-duplex communication, dual-communication support capability can be determined based on whether full-duplex communication is supported and whether nonlinear interference cancellation is supported. Terminal capability information related to full-duplex communication can be indexed and transmitted using a codebook. For example, when information on dual-communication support capability and nonlinear interference cancellation capability is requested, the terminal can transmit information on dual-communication support capability and nonlinear interference cancellation capability by classifying them based on [Table 3] and [Table 4], as described above in FIG. 17.

[0198] In step S1903, the terminal performs an RRC connection procedure with the base station. Through the RRC connection procedure, the terminal can obtain transmission mode information from the base station. To this end, the base station can determine the transmission mode for communication with the terminal based on the terminal capability information received in step S1901. Furthermore, the transmission mode can be one of the following: a half-duplex communication mode, a full-duplex communication mode utilizing only linear self-interference cancellation, or a full-duplex communication mode utilizing nonlinear self-interference cancellation.

[0199] In step S1905, the terminal transmits and receives data with the base station based on the received transmission mode information. If full-duplex communication with the terminal is possible with linear self-interference cancellation alone, the base station can reduce the power consumption of the terminal by instructing the terminal to use a transmission mode that does not use nonlinear self-interference cancellation. Furthermore, if full-duplex communication is not possible with linear self-interference cancellation alone, the base station can instruct the terminal to use nonlinear self-interference cancellation. This allows the terminal to secure additional gain and expand the radius of full-duplex communication. Subsequently, the degree of self-interference may change due to movement of the terminal or changes in the channel environment, which may necessitate a change in the communication mode.

[0200] FIG. 20 is a diagram illustrating a procedure for monitoring self-interference and changing a transmission mode according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. In step S2001, as described above in FIG. 19, a terminal can communicate with a base station based on its dual communication support capability.

[0201] In step S2003, the terminal performs self-interference measurements. The C / N ratio may increase or decrease due to changes in the terminal's movement or channel environment. Therefore, the terminal can continuously measure self-interference. The self-interference measurements can be configured in various ways. For example, the base station may instruct the terminal to perform periodic monitoring. As another example, the base station may monitor for full-duplex signal transmission / reception failures, and if the transmission / reception failures persist for a certain period of time or the number of transmission / reception failures exceeds a preset number, the base station may instruct the terminal to perform self-interference monitoring.

[0202] In step S2005, the terminal transmits to the base station whether interference has been overcome. The terminal can determine whether interference has been overcome based on changes in transmit power, changes in receive power, and whether nonlinear interference cancellation is possible. In other words, a terminal that utilizes only linear self-interference cancellation can achieve additional interference cancellation by utilizing nonlinear self-interference cancellation when self-interference increases. If the C / N for full-duplex communication can be maintained due to additional interference cancellation, the terminal can transmit to the base station that interference has been overcome. The terminal can transmit whether interference has been overcome due to changed self-interference through the PUCCH or PUSCH using the SIC margin check field value as described in [Table 5].

[0203] In step S2007, the transmission mode is received from the base station. The base station can reset the transmission mode based on whether interference received from the terminal has been overcome. If the terminal's self-interference is reduced while communicating in half-duplex mode, the transmission mode can be switched to full-duplex mode depending on whether interference has been overcome, and vice versa. In this case, the base station does not have to determine the transmission mode depending on whether the terminal has overcome interference. For example, even if a terminal performing full-duplex communication transmits that it can overcome additional interference, the base station can determine that the terminal performs half-duplex communication based on communication traffic, load balance, communication purpose, etc.

[0204] FIG. 21 is a diagram illustrating a procedure for a base station to perform full-duplex communication based on a dual communication support capability according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As described above, if there is no separate configuration for dual communication between a terminal and a base station, communication may be configured to be performed in a half-duplex transmission mode. In step S2101, the base station receives terminal capability information related to full-duplex communication from the terminal. The terminal capability information may include at least one of information regarding the terminal's connection state release, dual communication support capability, and nonlinear interference cancellation. The base station may request the terminal to transmit terminal capability information related to full-duplex communication by transmitting a UE capability inquiry message. Thereafter, the base station may receive a UE capability information message from the terminal. The terminal capability information related to full-duplex communication may be indexed and transmitted as described above.

[0205] In step S2103, the base station and the terminal perform an RRC connection procedure. Through the RRC connection procedure, the base station can transmit transmission mode information to the terminal. The transmission mode can be one of the following: half-duplex mode, full-duplex mode utilizing only linear self-interference cancellation, or full-duplex mode utilizing nonlinear self-interference cancellation.

[0206] In step S2105, the terminal transmits and receives data with the base station based on the received transmission mode information.

[0207] It is clear that the examples of the proposed methods described above can also be considered as a type of proposed methods, as they can be included as one of the implementation methods of the present disclosure. Information regarding the applicability of the proposed methods (or information regarding the rules of the proposed methods) can be defined by a rule such that the base station notifies the terminal of the application of the proposed methods through a predefined signal (e.g., a physical layer signal or a higher layer signal).
