Description

System and method for providing a subscription service for a modular cat tower

[0001] The present invention relates to a system and method for providing a subscription service for a modular cat tower.

[0002] In general, cats' range of movement is known to be narrower than expected, mostly staying within a 100-meter radius. Cats, as companion animals that retain their wild nature, are often neutered, so their desire to move is relatively reduced.

[0003] However, since companion cats that live with humans are territorial animals that create their own territory within the human living space and live independently within that territory and feel a sense of security, there are various cat towers for cats to live independently.

[0004] Previous literature (Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2020-0100280) discloses a pet furniture rental service device.

[0005] However, existing literature only discloses rental services specialized in pet furniture, and does not sense the time that pets stay on the furniture, nor does it measure the frequency with which pets use the modules, making it impossible to determine which modules pets prefer.

[0006] In addition, in the case of conventional modular cat towers, there was no way to know the cat's preference, so if the cat tower module did not fit the cat's preference, there was a problem in that the cost increased as the purchased module had to be sold as used and a new module had to be purchased.

[0007] Therefore, there is a need to identify which module a cat prefers based on the length of stay and frequency of use of the modular cat tower, and purchase the module that the cat prefers to reduce costs.

[0008] (Patent Document 1) Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2020-0100280

[0009] Accordingly, the present invention provides a system and method for providing a subscription service for a modular cat tower.

[0010] The purposes of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned purposes and advantages of the present invention can be understood through the following description and will be more clearly understood through embodiments of the present invention. Furthermore, it will be readily apparent that the purposes and advantages of the present invention can be realized by the means and combinations thereof set forth in the claims.

[0011] In order to achieve these objectives, a system for providing a subscription service for a modular cat tower according to an embodiment of the present invention may include: a modular cat tower that identifies at least one module of a modular cat tower that a cat is using, identifies a stay time and a frequency of use using the module in the identified module, and transmits data including the stay time and the frequency of use and module information to a mobile terminal; the mobile terminal that analyzes a preference based on a behavioral pattern of the cat through an application, searches for a preferred module based on the analysis of the preference, recommends it to a user, and transmits information including the module information and the data to a server; and a server that analyzes whether a module of the modular cat tower needs to be replaced and a new module based on module information and accumulated data received from the mobile terminal, and provides a subscription service based on the analysis result to the mobile terminal.

[0012] In addition, a method performed in a system for providing a subscription service for a modular cat tower according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a process in which the modular cat tower identifies at least one module of the modular cat tower that a cat is using, identifies a stay time and a usage frequency using the module in the identified module, and transmits data including the stay time and the usage frequency and module information to a mobile terminal; a process in which the mobile terminal analyzes a preference based on a behavioral pattern of the cat through an application, searches for a preferred module based on the analysis of the preference, recommends the module to the user, and transmits information including the module information and the data to a server; and a process in which the server analyzes whether a module of the modular cat tower needs to be replaced and a new module based on module information and accumulated data received from the mobile terminal, and provides a subscription service based on the analysis result to the mobile terminal.

[0013] The present invention can determine which module a cat prefers by identifying at least one module of a modular cat tower that a cat is using and identifying the dwell time and frequency of use using the module.

[0014] In addition, the present invention can provide a module customized for a cat by analyzing the cat's preferences based on the cat's behavioral patterns, searching for a preference module based on the analysis of the preferences, and recommending the module to the user.

[0015] In addition, the present invention analyzes whether a module of a modular cat tower (100) needs to be replaced and a new module based on module information and accumulated data and provides it in the form of a subscription service to a mobile terminal, thereby enabling consumers to purchase customized modules and sellers of modular cat towers to generate profits.

[0039] According to one embodiment, the communication unit (210) may include at least one circuit capable of transmitting and receiving at least one signal, information, and data with a mobile terminal (310 of FIG. 3).

[0040] In addition, the communication unit (210) can communicate with a mobile terminal (310 of FIG. 3) based on short-range communication (e.g., Bluetooth, NFC (Near Field Communication), or Beacon), and through this, can transmit the time that the cat (50) stayed in at least one module of the modular cat tower (100) and the frequency of use using the module. In addition, the communication unit (210) can receive a signal for controlling the operation of the modular cat tower (100) from the mobile terminal (310 of FIG. 3). For example, the signal may include a signal for controlling the on / off of at least one light-emitting element (not shown) mounted on the modular cat tower (100), and a signal for outputting an alarm or music through a speaker (not shown) mounted on the modular cat tower (100).

[0041] According to one embodiment, the memory (220) stores control logic or commands that operate in conjunction with a portable terminal (310 of FIG. 3).

[0042] In addition, the memory (220) stores data obtained from at least one sensor (e.g., weight detection sensor (131, 132), motion sensor (141, 142)) mounted on each module of the modular cat tower (100) and information about each module (e.g., location of the module (e.g., 1st floor, 2nd floor, etc.), year of production of the module, shape of the module, material of the module, model name of the module, etc.). For example, the memory (220) can store the stay time and frequency of use of the cat for each sensor located on the floor of the 1st floor module.

[0043] Additionally, the memory (220) can accumulate the residence time in each module and the frequency of use using the module by time unit.

[0044] Additionally, the memory (220) stores the time the cat stayed and the frequency of use for each module to be transmitted to the mobile terminal (310 in FIG. 3) through the communication unit (210).

[0045] Additionally, the memory (220) can store image data of a cat captured through a camera (230).

[0046] In one embodiment, the camera (230) may be positioned on one side of the modular cat tower (100). The camera (223011) may include at least one camera and may be positioned to face downward or sideways of the modular cat tower (100) to obtain at least one image of a cat using the modular cat tower (100). For example, the camera (230) may be a 360-degree rotating camera.

[0047] For example, the camera (230) may include various image sensors such as an RGB (Red Green Blue) camera, a vision camera, and an OCR (Optical Character Reader).

[0048] According to one embodiment, the sensor unit (240) may include at least one weight detection sensor (131, 132) for detecting the weight of the cat (150) and a motion sensor (141, 142) for detecting the movement of the cat (150).

[0049] For example, at least one weight detection sensor (131) may be placed on the bottom of a module (e.g., a first-floor module (111)) of a modular cat tower (100) to identify whether a cat (150) has sat on the module (e.g., a first-floor module (111)) and to identify the body weight of the cat (150).

[0050] Additionally, at least one weight detection sensor (132) is placed on the bottom of a module of the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., a first cat room module (121) placed between a first-floor module (111) and a second-floor module (112)) to identify whether a cat (150) has sat on the module (e.g., the first cat room module (121)) and to identify the body weight of the cat (150).

[0051] Likewise, at least one weight detection sensor (133) may be placed on the bottom of a module (e.g., a two-story module (112)) of a modular cat tower (100) to identify whether a cat (150) has sat on the module (e.g., a two-story module (112)) and to identify the body weight of the cat (150).

[0052] Additionally, at least one weight detection sensor may be placed on the bottom of a module (e.g., a second cat room module (122)) of the modular cat tower (100) to identify whether a cat (150) has sat on the module (e.g., a second cat room module (122) positioned between a second-floor module (112) and a third-floor module (113).

[0053] Likewise, at least one weight detection sensor may be placed on the floor of each of the various modules (113, 123, 114, 115) of the modular cat tower (100).

[0054] For example, at least one motion sensor (141) can be placed at the bottom of the second cat room module (122) to identify that a cat (150) is present on the first floor module (111).

[0055] Additionally, at least one motion sensor (142) can be placed at the bottom of the module (123) to identify that a cat (150) is present on the second-floor module (112).

[0056] Additionally, at least one motion sensor may be positioned underneath each of the modules (113, 114, 115) to identify whether a cat (150) is present underneath.

[0057] Additionally, the module (e.g., the third cat room module (120)) is rotatable, and a sensor for detecting rotation is placed on the module (e.g., the third cat room module (120)) to count the rotation of the module (e.g., the third cat room module (120)) and transmit the counted rotation to the processor (250). The counted rotation number may be included in the usage frequency.

[0058] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) may be equipped with an artificial intelligence algorithm. This artificial intelligence algorithm may be implemented or driven by the processor (250). The artificial intelligence, a program imitating the human brain's neural network, can support deep learning algorithms that independently analyze, recognize, infer, and judge various data.

[0059] Through this, the processor (250) can identify the time of stay and frequency of use of each module of the modular cat tower (100) by the cat, and generate data including the time of stay and frequency of use.

[0060] The above processor (250) can control the overall operation of components of the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., communication unit (210), memory (220), camera (230), sensor unit (240), light-emitting element (not shown), speaker (not shown)).

[0061] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can identify at least one module of a modular cat tower (100) being used by a cat, identify the time of stay in the identified module and the frequency of use using the module, and transmit data and module information including the time of stay and the frequency of use to a mobile terminal (310 of FIG. 3).

[0062] A modular cat tower (100) may include a sensor unit (240) including a weight detection sensor (131, 132) for detecting the weight of a cat (150) and a motion sensor (141, 142) for detecting the movement of the cat (150), a processor (250) for identifying the time of stay in the module and the frequency of use using the module based on information obtained from the weight detection sensor (131, 132) and the motion sensor (141, 142), a memory (220) for storing data including the time of stay and the frequency of use for each module, and a communication unit (210) for transmitting the stored data and the module information to the portable terminal (310 of FIG. 3).

[0063] For example, the weight detection sensor (131, 132) may be placed on the bottom of at least one module, and the motion sensor (141, 142) may be placed on the top of at least one module.

[0064] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) may accumulate the residence time and the frequency of use using the module in the memory (220) for each time unit in the identified module, and transmit the identifier of the identified module, the accumulated residence time, and the accumulated frequency of use for each time unit to a mobile terminal (310 of FIG. 3) through the communication unit (210).

[0065] For example, the processor (250) can identify a module of a modular cat tower (100) being used by a cat (150) using at least one of a weight detection sensor (131, 132) and a motion sensor (141, 142), and obtain an identifier of the identified module from the memory (220).

[0066] In addition, the processor (250) can count at least one of the stay time and the frequency of use of the cat (150) in the identified module through a timer (251), and accumulate at least one of the counted stay time and the counted frequency of use for a predetermined time.

[0067] In addition, when the predetermined time has elapsed, the processor (250) can transmit information including the acquired identifier, the accumulated stay time for each acquired identifier, and the accumulated usage frequency to the portable terminal (310 of FIG. 3).

[0068] FIG. 3 is a flowchart illustrating a method performed in a system providing a subscription service for a modular cat tower according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0069] Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, a method performed in a system providing a subscription service for a modular cat tower according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.

[0070] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) can identify whether a cat is using the modular cat tower (S310). The modular cat tower (100) can identify whether a cat is using a module of the modular cat tower (100) or which module the cat is using through at least one of a weight detection sensor (131, 132), at least one motion sensor (141, 142), and a camera (230).

[0071] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) can identify a module of the cat tower that a cat is using (S312). The modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) can identify a module of the modular cat tower (100) that a cat is using through at least one of a weight detection sensor (131, 132), at least one motion sensor (141, 142), and a camera (230).

[0072] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) can count the time that a cat stays in a module and the frequency of use using the module (S314). The modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) can identify a module that a cat is using through at least one weight detection sensor (131, 132), at least one motion sensor (141, 142), and at least one camera (230), and then count the time that the cat stays in the identified module and the frequency of use using the module through a timer (251).

[0073] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) can accumulate the counted residence time and usage frequency (S316). The modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) can accumulate the counted residence time and usage frequency for each module. The modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) can determine the module preferred by the cat through the residence time and usage frequency for each module.

[0074] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) can identify whether a predetermined time has elapsed (S318). The modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) can accumulate the counted residence time and usage frequency for each module in predetermined time units (e.g., 1 hour units). In addition, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) can identify whether a predetermined time (e.g., 1 hour) has elapsed.

[0075] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) can transmit accumulated data and module information for each module to the mobile terminal (310) (S320). When a predetermined time (e.g., 1 hour) has elapsed, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250) can transmit accumulated data, accumulated usage frequency, and module information (e.g., model name of the module, location of the module (e.g., 1st floor, 2nd floor, etc.)) for the predetermined time (e.g., 1 hour) to the mobile terminal (310) based on short-range communication (e.g., Bluetooth, Near Field Communication (NFC), or Beacon).

[0076] According to one embodiment, the mobile terminal (310) can identify whether an application has been executed (S322). When accumulated data, accumulated usage frequency, and module information are received, the mobile terminal (310) can display the receipt of the data on the display unit (not shown) of the mobile terminal (310) via a pop-up window.

[0077] Additionally, when the application is executed, the mobile terminal (310) can display accumulated data, accumulated usage frequency, and module information through the application.

[0078] In one embodiment, the mobile terminal (310) can analyze preferences based on the cat's behavioral patterns (S324). By analyzing accumulated data, accumulated usage frequency, and module information, the mobile terminal (310) can determine the cumulative time and usage frequency the cat spent in each module at each time point.

[0079] In addition, the mobile terminal (310) can analyze accumulated data, accumulated usage frequency, and module information to determine the cat's behavioral pattern and how the cat spends time in the modular cat tower (100) over time.

[0080] For example, the mobile terminal (310) can determine that the module with the longest accumulated time and the module with the highest frequency of use is the module preferred by the cat.

[0081] If the module with the longest accumulated time and the module with the highest frequency of use are different, the mobile terminal (310) may determine that the module with the longest accumulated time is the module preferred by the cat. These modules may be floors of a modular cat tower (100) or may be individual rooms.

[0082] According to one embodiment, the mobile terminal (310) can search for and recommend a preferred module based on preference analysis (S326). The mobile terminal (310) can identify the model name of a module determined to be preferred by the cat through an identifier of the module, and based on the identified model name, search for at least one recommended module mountable on the modular cat tower (100) through an application, and then recommend the module to the user.

[0083] For example, the mobile terminal (310) can search for at least one recommended module that can be mounted on a modular cat tower (100) based on the cat's characteristics (e.g., height, color, weight, age, etc.) and the cat's preferred modules, and then recommend the module to the user.

[0084] According to one embodiment, the mobile terminal (310) can transmit information including cat characteristic information, module information, and accumulated data to the server (320) (S328). The mobile terminal (310) can generate information including cat characteristic information (e.g., height, color, weight, age, etc.), module information (e.g., module location (e.g., 1st floor, 2nd floor, etc.), module production year, module shape, module material, module model name, etc.) and accumulated data (e.g., residence time and frequency of use in each module per unit time), and transmit the generated information to the server (320).

[0085] According to one embodiment, the server (320) can determine whether to replace the module or search for a new module based on module information and accumulated data (S330). The server (320) can determine whether to replace the module based on cat characteristic information (e.g., height, color, weight, age, etc.), module information (e.g., module location (e.g., 1st floor, 2nd floor, etc.), module production year, module shape, module material, module model name, etc.) and accumulated data (e.g., residence time and frequency of use in each module per unit time) received from the mobile terminal (310). In addition, the server (320) can search for a new module through cat characteristic information (e.g., height, color, weight, age, etc.), module information (e.g., module location (e.g., 1st floor, 2nd floor, etc.), module production year, module shape, module material, module model name, etc.) and accumulated data (e.g., residence time and frequency of use in each module per unit time) received from the mobile terminal (310).

[0086] If it is determined that the module needs to be replaced, the server (320) can search for a new module having a similar shape and size to the module through the cat's preference.

[0087] According to one embodiment, the server (320) may provide a subscription service based on search results to the mobile terminal (310) (S332). The server (320) may receive information including cat characteristic information, module information, and accumulated data from at least one mobile terminal at predetermined time intervals. Furthermore, the server (320) may receive such information from multiple mobile terminals and generate statistical data based on cat characteristics (e.g., which type of cat prefers which module, etc.).

[0088] In addition, the server (320) can provide a subscription service including search results based on such statistical data to a mobile terminal (310) on a regular basis (e.g., once a month for new products, twice a month for used products).

[0089] FIG. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a method performed in a modular cat tower according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0090] Hereinafter, with reference to FIG. 4, a method performed in a modular cat tower according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.

[0091] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor (250)) can identify whether a cat is using the modular cat tower (100) (S410). The modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor (250)) can identify whether a cat is using a module of the modular cat tower (100) or which module the cat is using through at least one of at least one weight detection sensor (131, 132), at least one motion sensor (141, 142), and a camera (230).

[0092] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor (250)) can identify a module of the modular cat tower that a cat is using by using at least one of a weight detection sensor, a motion sensor, and a camera (S412). The modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) can determine which module the cat is currently using by using at least one of at least one weight detection sensor (131, 132), at least one motion sensor (141, 142), and a camera (230).

[0093] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor (250)) can obtain information on the identified module (S414). When a module is identified, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor (250)) can obtain module information on the identified module from the memory (220). For example, the module information may include the location of the module (e.g., 1st floor, 2nd floor, room, etc.), the year of production of the module, the shape of the module, the material of the module, the model name of the module, etc.

[0094] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor (250)) can count at least one of the time of stay and the frequency of use that the cat has stayed in the identified module (S416). The modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) can identify the module that the cat has been using through at least one of the weight detection sensor (131, 132), at least one motion sensor (141, 142), and the camera (230), and then count the time of stay that the cat has stayed in the identified module and the frequency of use of the module per unit time (e.g., 1 hour).

[0095] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor (250)) can accumulate at least one of the counted residence time and usage frequency (S418). [0097] According to one embodiment, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor (250)) can transmit the accumulated residence time, usage frequency, and module information to the mobile terminal (S422). When the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) identifies that a predetermined time (e.g., 1 hour) has elapsed, the modular cat tower (100) (e.g., processor 250)) can transmit the accumulated residence time, usage frequency, and module information (e.g., location of the module (e.g., 1st floor, 2nd floor, etc.), year of production of the module, shape of the module, material of the module, model name of the module, etc.) for each module during the unit time to the mobile terminal.

[0098] As described above, the present invention identifies at least one module of the modular cat tower (100) being used by a cat, identifies the time of stay in the identified module and the frequency of use using the module, and transmits data including the time of stay and the frequency of use and module information to a mobile terminal (310), thereby enabling a user who owns the modular cat tower (100) to purchase a module customized to the cat's preference and install it in the modular cat tower (100), and by not installing a module that the cat does not prefer, the cost of repurchasing the module can be reduced.

[0099] In addition, the present invention analyzes preferences based on a cat's behavioral pattern through an application of a mobile terminal (310), searches for a preferred module based on the analysis of preferences and recommends it to a user, and transmits information including module information and data to a server (320), thereby enabling a user to receive a subscription service regarding a modular cat tower (100) through his or her mobile terminal (310).

[0100] In addition, the present invention can provide customized module information to the mobile terminal (310) through objectified data by analyzing whether a module of the modular cat tower (100) needs to be replaced and a new module based on module information and accumulated data received from the mobile terminal (310) by the server (320), and can generate revenue by providing a subscription service based on the analysis result to the mobile terminal (310).
