Description

Continuous biogas and mixed gas refrigeration and dehumidification system

[0001] The present invention relates to a continuous biogas and mixed gas freezing and dehumidification system that can continuously remove moisture contained in biogas or mixed gas by performing freezing and dehumidification of biogas or mixed gas in one heat exchanger using a pair of heat exchangers, performing a restoration process if the size of frost generated during moisture removal is greater than a standard, and performing a freezing process in the other heat exchanger.

[0002] As direct landfilling and ocean dumping of organic waste (food waste, sewage sludge, livestock manure, etc.) are currently prohibited, facilities for biogasification and waste treatment and production / utilization of new and renewable energy sources (hydrogen) through land treatment and recycling are attracting attention.

[0003] Biogas is generated through an anaerobic digestion process, and its main components are methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2), along with trace gases such as ammonia (NH3), nitrogen (N2), and carbon monoxide (CO). In order to produce hydrogen based on the methane (CH4) generated here, impurities such as carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), siloxane, and moisture (H2O) must be separated and removed. This process is called a pretreatment process.

[0004] After the pretreatment process, the process of increasing the methane (CH4) concentration to 96±1% is called the purification process, and when combined with the pretreatment process, it is also called the purification process.

[0005] Among these, technology development was carried out to resolve the following problems occurring in the existing pretreatment process, increase dehumidification efficiency, and ensure compliance with city gas quality standards and hydrogen reforming standards.

[0006] 1. Solving problems caused by pressure loss of feed gas in existing processes (minimizing pressure loss)

[0007] 2. Problems with equipment shutdown during maintenance due to replacement of adsorbents, etc.

[0008] 3. Problem of reduced dehumidification efficiency due to foreign substances such as oil generated from the gas compressor.

[0009] 4. Stable gas supply to the rear-end high-temperature treatment facility.

[0010] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a continuous biogas and mixed gas freezing and dehumidification system that can continuously remove moisture contained in biogas or mixed gas by performing freezing and dehumidification of biogas or mixed gas in one heat exchanger using a pair of heat exchangers, performing a restoration process if the size of frost generated during moisture removal is greater than a standard, and performing a freezing process in the other heat exchanger.

[0019] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings.

[0020] As illustrated in FIG. 1, a continuous biogas and mixed gas freezing and dehumidification system that continuously performs freezing and restoration of a heat exchanger using a temperature sensor according to an embodiment of the present invention is configured to include a first cooling and heating unit (10), a second cooling and heating unit (20), an inlet gas supply pipe (30), a treated gas discharge pipe (40), a first heat exchanger (100), a first condensate treatment unit (50), a second heat exchanger (200), a second condensate treatment unit (60), and a freezing / restoration control device (300).

[0021] The first cooling / heating device (10) selectively supplies a low-temperature heat medium or a high-temperature heat medium to the first heat exchanger (100). The low-temperature heat medium supplied from the first cooling / heating device (10) is used in a freezing process to freeze the temperature of the inlet gas such as biogas or mixed gas to -20°C to -40°C in the first heat exchanger (100), and the high-temperature heat medium is used in a restoration process to remove frost generated in the first heat exchanger (100).

[0022] The second air conditioner (20) supplies a low-temperature heat medium or a high-temperature heat medium to the second heat exchanger (200). The low-temperature heat medium supplied from the second air conditioner (20) is used in a refrigeration process to freeze the temperature of the inflow gas in the second heat exchanger (200) to -20°C to -40°C, and the high-temperature heat medium is used in a restoration process to remove frost generated in the first heat exchanger (100).

[0023] The inlet gas supply pipe (30) has one end connected to an external biogas or mixed gas discharge device (not shown) and the other end branches off and is connected to a first heat exchanger (100) and a second heat exchanger (200), and selectively supplies inlet gas to the first heat exchanger (100) and the second heat exchanger (200). A first check valve (31) and a second check valve (32) for turning the supply of inlet gas ON / OFF are formed in the branched inlet gas supply pipe (30). Through this inlet gas supply pipe (30), biogas or mixed gas containing external high-temperature and humid methane, carbon dioxide, etc. can be selectively supplied to the first heat exchanger (100) or the second heat exchanger (200).

[0024] The treatment gas discharge pipe (40) has one branched end connected to the treatment gas / condensate discharge ports of the first heat exchanger (100) and the second heat exchanger (200), and the other end connected to the outside, so that the inlet gas, from which moisture has been removed while passing through the first heat exchanger (100) and the second heat exchanger (200), is discharged as treatment gas. A third check valve (41) and a fourth check valve (42) for turning the discharge of the treatment gas ON / OFF are formed in the branched treatment gas discharge pipe (40). The inlet gas, from which moisture has been removed while being frozen to -20°C to -40°C while selectively passing through the first heat exchanger (100) or the second heat exchanger (200) through the treatment gas discharge pipe (40), is discharged as dried treatment gas.

[0025] The first heat exchanger (100) has a plurality of tubes through which a heat medium flows, and an inlet gas is introduced into the cells between the tubes to freeze or heat the heat medium within the tubes. The first heat exchanger (100) includes a first heat exchange unit (110), a first heat medium inlet (120), a first heat medium outlet (130), a first inlet gas inlet (140), a first process gas / condensate outlet (150), and a first temperature detection sensor (160).

[0026] The first heat exchange unit (110) is composed of tubes / cells, and allows a low-temperature or high-temperature heat medium supplied to the tubes through the first heat medium inlet (120) to flow, and a high-temperature inlet gas is supplied to the cells through the first inlet gas inlet (140) to perform heat exchange. Accordingly, the low-temperature heat medium passing through the tubes is used to freeze the high-temperature inlet gas into a process gas of -20°C to -40°C, and the high-temperature heat medium is used to phase-change the frost formed on the outer surface of the tubes into condensate.

[0027] The first heat medium inlet (120) is located on one side of the upper portion of the first heat exchanger (110) and is connected to the tube of the first heat exchanger (110) to provide the low-temperature heat medium or high-temperature heat medium supplied from the first air conditioner (10) to the tube.

[0028] The first heat medium discharge port (130) is located on one side of the lower portion of the first heat exchanger (110) and is connected to a tube inside the first heat exchanger (110) to provide the heat-exchanged low-temperature heat medium or high-temperature heat medium discharged from the tube to the first air conditioner (10).

[0029] The first inlet gas inlet (140) is located at the upper part of the first heat exchanger (110) and is connected to the cell to receive high-temperature inlet gas from the inlet gas supply pipe (30).

[0030] The first processing gas / condensate discharge port (150) is located at the bottom of the first heat exchanger (110) and discharges the condensate generated during the freezing process of the inlet gas and the low-temperature processing gas together, and discharges the condensate generated during the removal of frost.

[0031] The first sexual sensation detection sensor (160) is located inside the first heat exchanger (110) and checks the size of the sexual sensation generated in the tube.

[0032] This first heat exchanger (100) freezes the inflow gas moving along the cells to a temperature of -20°C to -40°C when a low-temperature heat medium is supplied from the first air conditioner (10) to the tube during freezing, and condenses moisture above the saturation humidity. Accordingly, some of the condensed moisture liquefies into condensate and falls to the bottom, and some grows as frost on the surface of the tube. In addition, when the first heat exchanger (100) restores, when a high-temperature heat medium is supplied from the first air conditioner (10) to the tube, it heats the frost formed on the outer surface of the tube, liquefies it into condensate, and falls to the bottom of the heat exchanger.

[0033] The first condensate treatment device (50) is connected to the lower end of one side of the first treatment gas / condensate discharge port (150), receives the condensate passing through the first treatment gas / condensate discharge port (150), and discharges it through the other end connected to the external line. A first condensate inlet control valve (51) that turns the inflow of condensate ON / OFF is formed at the upper end of the first condensate treatment device (50), and a first condensate discharge control valve (52) that turns the discharge of condensate ON / OFF is formed at the lower end.

[0034] The second heat exchanger (200) has a plurality of tubes through which a heat medium flows, and an inlet gas is introduced between the tubes to freeze or heat the heat medium within the tubes. The second heat exchanger (200) includes a second heat exchange unit (210), a second heat medium inlet (220), a second heat medium outlet (230), a second inlet gas inlet (240), a second process gas / condensate outlet (250), and a second temperature detection sensor (260).

[0035] The second heat exchanger (210) is composed of tubes / cells, and a low-temperature heat medium or a high-temperature heat medium is supplied to the tubes from a second heat medium inlet (220), and a high-temperature inlet gas supplied from a second inlet gas inlet (240) is allowed to flow through the cells. Accordingly, the low-temperature heat medium passing through the tubes is used to freeze the high-temperature inlet gas into a process gas of -20°C to -40°C, and the high-temperature heat medium is used to phase-change the frost formed on the outer surface of the tubes into condensate.

[0036] The second heat medium inlet (220) is located on one side of the upper portion of the second heat exchanger (210) and is connected to the tube of the second heat exchanger (210) to provide the low-temperature heat medium or the high-temperature heat medium supplied from the second air conditioner (20) to the tube.

[0037] The second heat medium discharge port (230) is located on one side of the lower portion of the second heat exchanger (210) and is connected to a tube inside the second heat exchanger (210) to provide the heat-exchanged low-temperature heat medium or high-temperature heat medium discharged from the tube to the second air conditioner (20).

[0038] The second inlet gas inlet (240) is located at the upper part of the second heat exchanger (210) and is connected to the cell to receive high-temperature inlet gas from the inlet gas supply pipe (30).

[0039] The second processing gas / condensate discharge port (250) is located at the bottom of the second heat exchanger (210) and discharges the condensate generated during freezing of the inlet gas and the low-temperature processing gas together, and discharges the condensate generated during defrostering.

[0040] The second sexual sensation detection sensor (260) is located inside the second heat exchanger (210) and checks the size of the sexual sensation generated in the tube.

[0041] This second heat exchanger (200) freezes the inflow gas moving along the cells to a temperature of -20°C to -40°C when a low-temperature heat medium is supplied to the tube from the second air conditioner (20) during freezing, and condenses moisture above the saturation humidity. Accordingly, some of the condensed moisture liquefies into condensate and falls to the bottom, and some grows as frost on the surface of the tube. In addition, when the second heat exchanger (200) restores, when a high-temperature heat medium is supplied to the tube from the second air conditioner (20), it heats the frost formed on the outer surface of the tube, liquefies it into condensate, and falls to the bottom of the heat exchanger.

[0042] The second condensate treatment device (60) is connected to the lower end of one side of the second treatment gas / condensate discharge port (250), receives the condensate passing through the second treatment gas / condensate discharge port (250), and discharges it through the other end connected to the external line. A second condensate inlet control valve (61) that turns the inflow of condensate ON / OFF is formed at the upper end of the second condensate treatment device (60), and a second condensate discharge control valve (62) that turns the discharge of condensate ON / OFF is formed at the lower end.

[0043] The freezing / restoration control device (300) manages the type of heat medium supplied from the first and second coolers (10, 20) when freezing the inflow gas in the first and second heat exchangers (100, 200) or restoring the first and second heat exchangers (100, 200), whether the mixed gas supplied to the first and second heat exchangers (100, 200) is supplied, whether the treated gas discharged from the first and second heat exchangers (100, 200) is discharged, and whether the condensate is introduced or discharged from the first and second condensate processors (50, 60). As illustrated in Fig. 2, the freezing / restoration control device (300) includes a frost size receiving unit (310), a frost size confirmation unit (320), a heat exchanger operation information management unit (330), and a restoration time management unit (340).

[0044] The sexual size receiver (310) checks the size of the sexual sensation transmitted from the first and second sexual sensation detection sensors (160, 260) located in the first and second heat exchangers (100, 200).

[0045] The sexual size confirmation unit (320) checks whether the size of the sexual object received from the sexual size reception unit (310) exceeds the standard size.

[0046] The heat exchanger operation information management unit (330) performs the freezing, restoration, condensate pretreatment, condensate discharge, and heat exchanger freezing processes of the first and second heat exchangers (100, 200). At this time, if the size of the frost generated in the first and second heat exchangers (100, 200) is greater than a standard, it is preferable that the heat exchanger operation information management unit (330) change the freezing operation to restoration operation and proceed. As illustrated in FIG. 3, the heat exchanger operation information management unit (330) includes a first inlet gas refrigeration / second heat exchanger restoration management unit (331), a first inlet gas refrigeration / second condensate pretreatment management unit (332), a first inlet gas refrigeration / second condensate discharge management unit (333), a first inlet gas refrigeration / second heat exchanger refrigeration management unit (334), a second inlet gas refrigeration / first heat exchanger restoration management unit (335), a second inlet gas refrigeration / first condensate pretreatment management unit (336), a second inlet gas refrigeration / first condensate discharge management unit (337), and a second inlet gas refrigeration / first heat exchanger refrigeration management unit (338). Accordingly, the first heat exchanger (100) refrigerates the introduced high-temperature inlet gas to a low temperature and discharges it as a processed gas, and the second heat exchanger (200) liquefies the frost on the tube surface and discharges it to the second condensate treatment unit (60). [0048] The first inlet gas refrigeration / second condensate pretreatment management unit (332) freezes the inlet gas in the first heat exchanger (100) and manages the second condensate treatment unit (60) to be isolated from the second heat exchanger (200). Accordingly, the first heat exchanger (100) maintains the process of freezing the high-temperature inlet gas to a low temperature and discharging it as a treated gas, and the second heat exchanger (200) and the condensate treatment unit are separated so that the treated gas remaining inside the second heat exchanger (200) is maintained as is.
