Abstract
Description
Water-in-oil emulsion composition REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0001] This patent application claims priority to an earlier filed Japanese patent application, Patent Application No. 2023-187077 (filing date: October 31, 2023), the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference.
[0002] The present invention relates to a water-in-oil emulsion composition.
[0003] Since the water-in-oil emulsion composition has an oil phase in the continuous phase, it is water-resistant, in other words, sweat-resistant, and has long-lasting cosmetic properties, making it suitable for use in liquid foundations and the like.
[0004] For this reason, water-in-oil (W / O) type is the general formula for liquid foundation that provides good makeup wear. However, water-in-oil type liquid foundation often requires dedicated oil cleansing when washing it off, which poses a problem of placing a heavy burden on the skin of the user.
[0005] Furthermore, liquid foundations contain a large amount of coloring material to enhance coverage, but liquid foundations with a large amount of coloring material tend to disperse poorly, which can lead to uneven coloring when applied to the skin.
[0006] In order to solve these problems, research has been conducted into water-in-oil emulsion compositions such as liquid foundations that have excellent effects, and a variety of compositions have been investigated.
[0007] For example, a water-in-oil emulsion makeup cosmetic containing a metal soap-treated metal oxide, an ester oil, a silicone oil, and water as essential ingredients has been reported (Patent Document 1). Such cosmetics show little change in color between immediately after application and 5 minutes after application, and can maintain the freshly applied color for a long period of time.
[0008] As described above, various water-in-oil emulsion compositions such as liquid foundations that have excellent effects have been found, but the effects are not necessarily sufficient, and there is still a demand for water-in-oil emulsion compositions such as liquid foundations that have even better effects.
