Abstract

The present invention, which is intended for both the container and packaging sector and the entertainment sector, relates to a connecting element that allows two containers to be transported with a single hand, improving the user's comfort and freedom of movement. The element includes a flat body with two clamps: one at the upper end that specifically holds the beverage cup or container, and the other on the lower portion and on the opposite side, which attaches to a container with food, such as popcorn. The user can carry the assembly by holding only the cup, which is the heavier component, thus making it possible to perform other activities while holding both containers conveniently and securely.

[0004] The invention, as the title of this specification suggests, establishes a connecting element between containers. This is an innovation that, within current techniques, offers previously unknown advantages.

[0005] The connecting element allows a user to carry two containers in one hand, which would otherwise require two hands. This offers greater freedom of movement and comfort.

[0009] There are many situations in which we have to hold several containers of food or drinks, for which we have to use both hands.

[0011] This situation is very common when we go to the movies, where it is traditional to buy a container of popcorn and a glass of soda.

[0014] The object of the present invention is the creation of a connecting element between containers that provides a notable innovation within its field of application in the current state of the art, the characterizing details that make it possible being conveniently included in the final claims that accompany this description.

[0015] The connecting element allows a person to carry two containers, such as a glass of soda and a box of popcorn, with one hand. This allows the user to comfortably consume both the drink and the popcorn, while also being able to perform other actions such as opening a door or holding a cell phone.

[0016] To this end, the container-connecting element comprises a flat body with a first clamp at the top end configured to attach to the wall of a glass or beverage container.

[0017] At a lower height, the body has, on the side opposite to where the first clamp is located, a second clamp configured to attach to the popcorn box or food container.

[0018] The user must hold the assembly by grasping the glass or beverage container, since it is the heaviest part of the assembly, so that the clamp does not have to exert a lot of pressure.

[0024] The container-connecting element comprises a flat body (1) at the upper end of which there is a first clip (2) configured to be fixed to a glass (3) or beverage container. At a lower height, the body (1) has, on the side opposite to where the first clip (2) is located, a second clip (4) configured to be fixed to the popcorn box (5) or food container.

[0025] In a preferred embodiment, the first and second clamps (2 and 4) are made of the same material as the body (1), generally plastic.

[0026] Both the first and second clamps (2 and 4) have a tongue-shaped configuration that emerges downwards from the body (1).

[0027] Between the tongue and the body (1) there is a distance such that it allows the wall of the glass (3) or popcorn box (5) to be inserted, remaining fixed, for which the tongue exerts pressure towards the body (1) thus leaving the wall of the container caught.

[0028] Preferably, the width of the first clamp (2) will be less than 2 centimeters. In this way, despite having the clamp in place holding the glass by its top edge, we can place the lid on the glass if we wish, without the first clamp (2) preventing us from doing so.

[0029] In one embodiment, the lower end of the second clamp (4) and the body (1) in the area where it comes into contact with the end of the second clamp (4), have a plurality of teeth (6). The teeth (6) of the second clamp (4) and of the body (1) are complementary to each other, and allow the popcorn container to be held better.

MODIFIED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on June 4, 2025 (04.06.2025) 1.- Connecting element between containers, characterized by comprising a body (1) plane at the upper end of which it has a first clamp (2) configured to be fixed on a glass (3) or beverage container, and at a lower height the body (1) has, on the opposite side to where the first clamp (2) is located, a second clamp (4) configured to be fixed on the popcorn box (5) or food container, where the first and second clamps (2 and 4) are made of the same material as the body (1) and have a tongue-shaped configuration that emerges downwards from the body (1) there being a small distance between the tongue and the body (1) through which the wall of the glass (3) or popcorn box (5) is introduced and remains fixed. 2.- Element for joining containers, according to claim 1, characterized in that the width of the first clamp (2) is less than 2 centimeters. 3.- Element for joining containers, according to claim 1, characterized in that the lower end of the second clamp (4) and the body (1) in the area where it comes into contact with the end of the second clamp (4), have a plurality of teeth (6).
