[0011] An embodiment of a personal information providing system according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The present invention is a system for enabling a person using a service (hereinafter referred to as a "user") to provide a service provider with personal information necessary for using the service. The system is characterized in that only the personal information permitted by the user or only the personal information required for the service is provided to the service provider, effectively preventing the user from providing personal information not necessary for the service being used. Furthermore, this embodiment allows the user to provide the necessary personal information to the service provider offline, making it possible to authenticate users and provide services using personal information even in countries where the Internet environment or personal authentication system is not yet in place.
[0012] First Embodiment Fig. 1 is a diagram showing the configuration of a personal information provision system 1 according to the first embodiment. As shown in Fig. 1, the personal information provision system 1 according to the first embodiment includes a first information terminal 10 carried by a user and a second information terminal 20 held by a service provider. In this embodiment, the first information terminal 10 and the second information terminal 20 are configured not to perform wireless communication, but they may also be configured to be capable of wireless communication. Furthermore, in the personal information provision system 1 according to the first embodiment, the first information terminal 10 and the second information terminal 20 may also be configured to be capable of communicating with a server (not shown).
[0013] 2 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the first information terminal 10 and the second information terminal 20. The first information terminal 10 is an information terminal such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer carried by a user, and in this embodiment, a smartphone will be used as an example. As shown in FIG. 2, the first information terminal 10 has a camera 11, a display 12, an input unit 13, a storage unit 14, and a calculation unit 15.
[0014] The camera 11 can capture a user's facial image to acquire facial information, or capture a card or other item containing the user's personal information, as needed. The display 12 displays a first information code 41 containing the user's personal information on the screen. The input unit 13 is operated by the user to register the personal information. The memory unit 14 stores the user's personal information and also stores a program for performing the personal information provision process according to this embodiment. The calculation unit 15 executes the program stored in the memory unit 14 to realize an information code registration function for registering a first information code 41 containing two or more pieces of personal information about the user, and an information code presentation function for presenting the registered first information code. The program can be executed in the first information terminal 10 in the form of an application or app. Each function of the first information terminal 10 is described below.
[0015] The information code registration function of the first information terminal 10 generates a first information code 41 including two or more pieces of personal information about the user and stores the generated first information code 41 in the storage unit 14. The personal information included in the first information code 41 is not particularly limited, but examples include text information such as the user's identification number (My Number), name, address, passport number, account number, driver's license number, social insurance number, date of birth, place of birth, and maiden name, as well as biometric information such as a facial image, fingerprint information, iris information, palm shape, retina, blood vessels, voice, and ear shape. In the first embodiment, the first information code 41 includes more personal information than is required for the service the user uses.
[0016] The information code presentation function of the first information terminal 10 presents a first information code 41 that includes two or more pieces of personal information of the user and that is registered by the information code registration function. Specifically, the information code presentation function obtains a pre-created first information code 41 from the storage unit 14 and displays the obtained first information code 41 on the screen of the display 12, thereby presenting the first information code 41 that includes two or more pieces of personal information of the user.
[0017] Here, the first information code 41 according to this embodiment will be described. Fig. 3 is a diagram showing an example of the first information code 41. In this embodiment, a configuration using a color QR code composed of information cells of three or more colors is illustrated as an example, but the present invention is not limited to this configuration and may be a QR code (registered trademark) composed of white and black information cells arranged in a grid pattern, a barcode, or the like.
[0018] As shown in Figure 3, the first information code 41 is a rectangular two-dimensional code having an information code area 401 consisting of two or more colored information cells 402 which are units for displaying information, a teacher code area 403 having teacher cells 404 which are the same color as the information cells 402 and have the same number of colors as the information cells 402 in order to identify the color of the information cells 402, and an extraction symbol 405.
[0019] In particular, the first information code 41 has multiple teacher cells 404 in the teacher code area 403 to improve the accuracy of identifying the color of the information cell 402. The color types of the teacher cells 404 and the information cells 402 match, and by comparing the colors of the teacher cells 404 and the information cells 402, it is possible to identify the color of the information cell 402 with high accuracy. In particular, with a color QR code, the more colors there are, the closer the hues of the colors become. Therefore, it may be difficult to properly identify the color of the information cell 402 depending on the lighting environment, the printing environment of the first information code 41, the display environment of the first information code 41 on a display, fading of the printed first information code 41 over time, and other factors. Even in such cases, the information in the information cell 402 can be properly understood by identifying the color of the information cell 402 with reference to the teacher cells 404. For example, if the color information of an information cell 402 is purplish and it is difficult to distinguish whether it is similar to red or blue, and the color information is closer to red than the color information of the purple teacher cell 404, it can be determined that the color of the information cell 402 is red. Note that the color information can be quantified as RGB values or CMY values.
[0020] The information code area 401 can record specific information consisting of a certain amount of character information and / or binary information by changing the display pattern of the information cells 402, which are information units. The content of the specific information recorded in the information code area 401 is not particularly limited, but in this embodiment, personal information including biometric authentication information can be stored. In addition to biometric authentication information, personal information can include information such as a mobile phone number, My Number, passport number, account number, driver's license number, name, social insurance number, date of birth, place of birth, and maiden name. Furthermore, biometric authentication information can include a facial image, fingerprint information, iris information, palm shape, retina, blood vessels, voice, ear shape, and the like.
[0021] In the first information code 41, the information code area 401 in which specific information is recorded is composed of information cells 402 of three or more colors, allowing for a larger amount of recordable information than information codes composed of two colors, white and black. However, the data capacity that can be stored in the first information code 41 is smaller than that of other recording media, so when recording an image of an entire face with a resolution sufficient for face authentication, even the information code area 401 composed of information cells 402 of four colors may not have sufficient storage capacity. Therefore, in the information code 40 according to this embodiment, only a portion of the user's face that serves as a characteristic point for face authentication, such as the user's eyes or mouth, is stored as the face image for face authentication, rather than the entire face, thereby making it possible to record the face image for face authentication in the first information code 41.
[0022] Next, a second information terminal 20 according to this embodiment will be described. The second information terminal 20 is an information terminal such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop computer, desktop personal computer, POS terminal, or dedicated terminal owned by a service provider. In this embodiment, a dedicated terminal will be described as an example. As shown in FIG. 2 , the second information terminal 20 includes a camera 21, a display 22, an input unit 23, a storage unit 24, and a calculation unit 25. The camera 21 reads a first information code 41 containing personal information displayed on the first information terminal 10. The display 22 displays the user's personal information on the screen. The input unit 23 performs an operation for setting personal information that the user is permitted to provide to the second information terminal 20. The storage unit 24 stores a program for providing personal information according to this embodiment. By executing the program stored in the storage unit 24, the calculation unit 25 realizes a setting function for setting personal information that the user is permitted to provide, a personal information acquisition function for acquiring personal information from the first information code 41 presented by the first information terminal 10, and a display control function for controlling the display of the personal information. The above program can be executed in the form of an application or app on the second information terminal 20. Each function of the second information terminal 20 will be described below.
[0023] The setting function of the second information terminal 20 sets personal information that the user is permitted to provide to the second information terminal 20 (service provider). In this embodiment, the setting function allows the user to set personal information that the user is permitted to provide to the second information terminal 20 (service provider) by displaying a screen for setting personal information that the user is permitted to provide on the display 22, as shown in FIG. 4 . For example, in the example shown in FIG. 4 , the display 22 also serves as a touch panel, which is the input unit 23, and the user can set the personal information that the user is permitted to provide by touching the touch panel. For example, in the example shown in FIG. 4 , personal information such as name, date of birth, gender, and My Number are set as personal information that the user is permitted to provide, while personal information such as bank account number, credit card number, and driver's license number are excluded from the personal information that the user is permitted to provide.
[0024] The personal information acquisition function of the second information terminal 20 reads the first information code 41 presented by the first information terminal 10 and acquires the personal information included in the first information code 41. In particular, in the first embodiment, the personal information acquisition function acquires only the personal information that the user has permitted to be provided by the setting function from among the two or more pieces of personal information included in the first information code 41.
[0025] The display control function of the second information terminal 20 controls the display of the personal information acquired by the personal information acquisition function. Specifically, in the first embodiment, the personal information acquisition function acquires only the personal information that the user has permitted to be provided, and therefore the display control function displays all of the personal information acquired by the personal information acquisition function (for example, in the example shown in FIG. 4 , personal information such as name, date of birth, gender, and My Number) as is on the display 22.
[0026] Next, a personal information provision process according to the first embodiment will be described. FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing the personal information provision process according to the first embodiment. The personal information provision process shown in FIG. 5 is a process in which a user provides personal information to a service provider in order to use various services such as administrative services, medical services, and rental car services (the same applies to the second to fourth embodiments described below). In the following, it is assumed that, before the personal information provision process is performed, a first information code 41 including two or more pieces of personal information of the user (including personal information necessary for the service used by the user and personal information not necessary) is stored in advance in the storage unit 14 by the information code registration function of the first information terminal 10.
[0027] In step S101, identity authentication is performed in the first information terminal 10. For example, when the first information terminal 10 launches an application or app, the camera 11 first captures an image of the user's face, and facial authentication is performed based on the captured facial image. Note that the facial authentication method is not particularly limited, and any known method can be used. Furthermore, facial information required for facial authentication can be captured in advance by the camera 11 and stored in the storage unit 14.
[0028] Then, in step S102, it is determined whether or not face authentication has been successful in the first information terminal 10. If face authentication has been successful, the process proceeds to step S103. On the other hand, if face authentication has not been successful, the process proceeds to step S108, where an error message is displayed on the display 12 of the first information terminal 10, and the personal information provision process shown in FIG. 5 ends.
[0029] In step S103, the personal information that the user is permitted to provide is set by the setting function of second information terminal 20. For example, as shown in Fig. 4, the user can set the personal information that the user is permitted to provide by operating the touch panel that also serves as input unit 23 and touching the personal information that the user is permitted to provide to second information terminal 20 from among two or more pieces of personal information included in first information code 41.
[0030] In step S104, the first information code 41 including the personal information is presented by the information code presentation function of the first information terminal 10. In this embodiment, the first information terminal 10 stores in advance in the storage unit 14 the first information code 41 including two or more pieces of personal information, and the information code presentation function can acquire the first information code 41 stored in the storage unit 14 and display it on the display 12. Note that the personal information included in the first information code 41 includes not only the personal information permitted to be provided in step S103, but also personal information not permitted to be provided.
[0031] In step S105, the first information code 41 presented by the first information terminal 10 in step S104 is read by the personal information acquisition function of the second information terminal 20. For example, the personal information acquisition function can cause the second information terminal 20 to read the first information code 41 by activating the camera 21 and causing the camera 21 to capture an image of the first information code 41 that the user has displayed on the display 12 of the first information terminal 10.
[0032] In step S106, the personal information acquisition function of the second information terminal 20 acquires the user's personal information from the first information code 41 read in step S105. In particular, in this embodiment, the personal information acquisition function acquires only the personal information that is permitted to be provided to the second information terminal 20 from the first information code 41 based on the personal information setting information set in step S103. In other words, the first information code 41 may include personal information that the user has not permitted to be provided, but the personal information acquisition function acquires only the personal information that the user has permitted to be provided from among these two or more pieces of personal information based on the personal information setting information set in step S103.
[0033] In step S107, the display control function of the second information terminal 20 displays the personal information acquired in step S106 on the display 22. Since only the personal information permitted to be displayed by the user is acquired in step S106, only the personal information permitted to be displayed by the user is displayed and provided to the service user in step S107. The personal information provision process shown in FIG. 5 then ends.
[0034] As described above, the personal information providing system 1 according to the first embodiment includes a first information terminal 10 and a second information terminal 20, and provides personal information of a user of the first information terminal 10 to the second information terminal 20. The first information terminal 10 presents a first information code 41 including two or more pieces of personal information. The second information terminal 20 has a setting function for setting personal information that the user is authorized to provide from among the two or more pieces of personal information included in the first information code 41, and displays only the personal information that the user authorized to provide from among the two or more pieces of personal information included in the first information code 41 presented by the first information terminal 10. As a result, in the personal information providing system 1 according to the first embodiment, for example, when a user receives a government service, the second information terminal 20 can set the second information terminal 20 to provide only personal information to be used for the government service, such as an address, a facial image, and a name. This allows the second information terminal 20 to acquire only the personal information to be used for the government service that the user authorized to provide from among the user's personal information included in the first information code 41 presented by the first information terminal 10, and effectively prevents personal information not to be used for the government service from being provided to a provider of the government service. Furthermore, in this embodiment, even when offline, the user can be authenticated and services can be provided using the personal information by providing the necessary personal information. Therefore, for example, even in countries where the Internet environment and personal authentication system are not yet in place, the personal information providing system 1 according to the first embodiment can be used to provide the necessary personal information from the first information terminal 10 to the second information terminal 20, thereby authenticating the user and providing services using the personal information.
[0035] Second Embodiment Next, a personal information provision system 1 according to a second embodiment will be described. The personal information provision system 1 according to the second embodiment has the same configuration as that of the first embodiment, and operates in the same manner as the personal information provision system 1 according to the first embodiment except for the matters described below.
[0036] In the second embodiment, the calculation unit 15 of the first information terminal 10 has, in addition to the functions of the first embodiment, a setting function for setting personal information that the user is permitted to provide on the first information terminal 10. Specifically, the setting function displays a screen on the display 12 of the first information terminal 10 for setting personal information that the user is permitted to provide to the second information terminal 20, as shown in FIG. 4 . This allows the user to set the personal information that the user is permitted to provide by operating the touch panel that serves as the input unit 13 together with the display 12. Note that a program for executing the setting function can be executed in the first information terminal 10 in the form of an application or app. Meanwhile, in the second embodiment, the calculation unit 25 of the second information terminal 20 may be configured without the setting function for setting personal information that the user is permitted to provide, among the functions of the first embodiment.
[0037] Next, the personal information provision process according to the second embodiment will be described. Fig. 6 is a flowchart showing the personal information provision process according to the second embodiment. Note that steps S201, S202, and S208 are the same as steps S101, S102, and S108 in the first embodiment, and therefore their description will be omitted.
[0038] In step S203, the user operates the first information terminal 10, whereby the setting function of the first information terminal 10 sets the personal information that is permitted to be provided to the second information terminal 20. Specifically, the setting function first displays a setting screen for setting the personal information that is permitted to be provided to the second information terminal 20 on the display 12 of the first information terminal 10, as shown in Fig. 4. The user can operate the touch panel that also serves as the input unit 13 to set the personal information that the user is permitted to provide from among two or more pieces of personal information displayed on the display 12, and when the user selects the personal information that is permitted to be provided, the setting function acquires the selected personal information as the personal information that is permitted to be provided to the second information terminal 20.
[0039] In step S204, the information code presentation function of the first information terminal 10 creates and presents the first information code 41. Specifically, the information code presentation function creates the first information code 41 including only the personal information that is permitted to be provided and that was set in step S203, and displays the created first information code 41 on the display 12.
[0040] In step S205, the personal information acquisition function of the second information terminal 20 reads the first information code 41 presented in step S204. In the following step S206, the personal information acquisition function acquires the user's personal information from the first information code 41 read in step S205. In the second embodiment, the first information code 41 contains only personal information that the user permits to be provided as the user's personal information. Therefore, the personal information acquisition function can acquire all of the personal information contained in the first information code 41 as the personal information that the user permits to be provided. Then, in step S207, the display control function of the second information terminal 20 displays the personal information that the user permits to be provided, acquired in step S206, on the display 22. As described above, in the second embodiment, the first information code 41 contains only the personal information that the user permits to be provided. Therefore, in step S207, only the personal information that the user permits to be provided is provided to the service provider.
[0041] As described above, in the personal information providing system 1 according to the second embodiment, the first information terminal 10 allows the user to set the personal information that the user is permitted to provide and presents the first information code 41 that includes only the personal information that the user is permitted to provide, and the second information terminal 20 can provide only the personal information that the user is permitted to provide to the second information terminal 20 (or the service provider) by displaying all of the personal information included in the first information code presented by the first information terminal 10. In particular, in the second embodiment, the user only needs to operate the first information terminal 10, which can improve user convenience.
[0042] Third Embodiment Next, a personal information provision system 1 according to a third embodiment will be described. The personal information provision system 1 according to the third embodiment also has a configuration similar to that of the personal information provision system 1 according to the first embodiment, and operates in the same manner as the personal information provision system 1 according to the first embodiment, except for the points described below.
[0043] In the first information terminal 10 according to the third embodiment, the storage unit 14 stores, for each service, a first information code 41 including one or more pieces of personal information required for a service provided by the second information terminal 20, in association with service information indicating the service. For example, the storage unit 14 may be configured to store, in association with administrative service information, a first information code 41 including personal information such as an address, a facial image, and a name required for the administrative service, in association with medical service information, a first information code 41 including personal information such as a health insurance card number required for the medical service, and in association with rental car service information, a first information code 41 including personal information such as a driver's license number required for the rental car service.
[0044] Furthermore, in the first information terminal 10 according to the third embodiment, the information code registration function of the calculation unit 15 creates, for each service, a first information code 41 including one or more pieces of personal information to be used in that service, associates it with service information indicating the service, and stores it in the storage unit 14. For example, in the above example, the information code registration function can create a first information code 41 including personal information such as an address, a facial image, and a name required for a government service, associates it with the government service information, and stores it in the storage unit 14; create a first information code 41 including personal information such as a health insurance card number required for a medical service, associates it with the medical service information, and stores it in the storage unit 14; and further create a first information code 41 including personal information such as a driver's license number required for a rental car service, and store it in the storage unit 14 in association with the rental car service information.
[0045] Furthermore, in the third embodiment, the information code presentation function of the calculation unit 15 can present a first information code 41 corresponding to a service to be used by the user. For example, as shown in Fig. 7, the information code presentation function displays a screen on the display 12 for the user to select a service they wish to use. The user can operate the touch panel that also serves as the input unit 13 to select a service they wish to use from among the multiple services displayed on the display 12. When a service is selected by the user, the information code presentation function displays on the display 12 the first information code 41 corresponding to the selected service from among the multiple first information codes 41 stored in the storage unit 14. Note that Fig. 7 is a diagram illustrating an example of a service selection screen in the third embodiment.
[0046] Next, an information code registration process according to the third embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 8. Fig. 8 is a flowchart showing the information code registration process according to the third embodiment. Note that the information code registration process according to this embodiment is performed by a user using the first information terminal 10.
[0047] In step S301, two or more pieces of personal information are registered by the information code registration function of the first information terminal 10. For example, the information code registration function may be configured to display a screen on the display 12 for the user to register personal information, and to have the user input the personal information via the input unit 13. The registered personal information is stored in the memory unit 14 of the first information terminal 10.
[0048] In step S302, the information code registration function registers the services to be used by the user. For example, the information code registration function may be configured to display a screen for registering the services to be used by the user on the display 12 and prompt the user to input the services to be used. Information on the registered services to be used is stored in the storage unit 14 of the first information terminal 10.
[0049] In step S303, the information code registration function creates, for each service registered in step S302, a first information code 41 including only the personal information to be used for that service from among the two or more personal information registered in step S301, and stores the created first information code in the storage unit 14. For example, the information code registration function first displays on the display 12 a screen for selecting a service from the services registered in step S302 for which the first information code 41 is to be created, and prompts the user to select the service for which the first information code 41 is to be created. Next, the information code registration function displays on the display 12 a screen for selecting personal information to be used for the service selected by the user from the personal information registered in step S301, and prompts the user to select the personal information to be used for the service selected by the user. In this way, the information code registration function can grasp the personal information to be used for each service, create a first information code including only the personal information to be used for that service, and store the code in the storage unit 14.
[0050] Next, a personal information provision process according to the third embodiment will be described. Fig. 9 is a flowchart showing a personal information registration process according to the third embodiment. Note that steps S401, S402, and S408 are the same as steps S101, S102, and S108 in the first embodiment, and therefore their description will be omitted.
[0051] In step S403, the information code presentation function of the first information terminal 10 acquires service information for a service to be used by the user. Specifically, the information code presentation function can display a screen for the user to select a service to be used on the display 12, as shown in Fig. 7. The user can operate the touch panel that also serves as the input unit 13 to select a service to be used by the user from multiple services displayed on the display 12. When a service is selected by the user, the information code presentation function acquires service information indicating the selected service.
[0052] In step S404, the information code presentation function presents the first information code 41 corresponding to the service information acquired in step S403. In the fourth embodiment, the first information code 41, which is associated with the service information and includes only the personal information to be used for the service, is pre-stored in the storage unit 14. Therefore, the information code presentation function obtains the first information code 41 corresponding to the service information acquired in step S404 from the storage unit 14 and displays it on the display 12.
[0053] Then, in step S405, the first information code 41 presented by the first information terminal 10 is read by the personal information acquisition function of the second information terminal 20, and in step S406, the personal information including the read first information code 41 is acquired by the personal information acquisition function. Then, in step S407, the display control function of the second information terminal 20 displays the personal information acquired in step S406 on the display 22. As described above, in the third embodiment, the first information code 41 read by the second information terminal 20 is an information code including personal information required for the service used by the user, and therefore, only the personal information required for the service used by the user is provided to the second information terminal 20 (service provider).
[0054] As described above, in the third embodiment, the first information terminal 10 stores, for each service, a plurality of first information codes 41 each including only the personal information required for that service, in association with service information indicating that service. The first information terminal 10 acquires the service information for the service used by the user and, based on the service information, presents the first information code 41 corresponding to the service information. The second information terminal 20 then displays the personal information included in the first information code 41 presented by the first information terminal 10. This allows the personal information provision system 1 according to the third embodiment to provide the second information terminal 20 (or the service provider) with only the personal information required for the service used by the user.
[0055] Fourth Embodiment Next, a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described. Fig. 10 is a configuration diagram showing a personal information provision system 1a according to the fourth embodiment. As shown in Fig. 10, the fourth embodiment includes a first information terminal 10a and a second information terminal 20a, as well as a server 30 that can communicate with the first information terminal 10a and the second information terminal 20a. Note that, as shown in Fig. 10, in an environment where network communication using an Internet line 2 or the like is available, the first information terminal 10a, the second information terminal 20a, and the server 30 can exchange information with each other via wireless communication or wired communication.
[0056] FIG. 11 is a configuration diagram showing a first information terminal 10a and a second information terminal 20a according to the fourth embodiment. Like the first embodiment, the first information terminal 10a according to the fourth embodiment is an information terminal such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer. In this embodiment, a smartphone will also be used as an example. As shown in FIG. 11 , the first information terminal 10a includes a communication unit 16, enabling network communication via an Internet line 2. Furthermore, in the first information terminal 10a according to the fourth embodiment, the information code presentation function of the calculation unit 15 presents different information codes depending on whether network communication is possible via the communication unit 16. Specifically, when the terminal is online and network communication is possible, the information code presentation function presents a second information code 42 containing identification information for identifying the user and service information indicating the service used by the user. On the other hand, when the terminal is offline and network communication is not possible, the information code presentation function presents a first information code 41 containing the user's personal information.
[0057] In the fourth embodiment, the second information terminal 20a also has a communication unit 26, similar to the first information terminal 10a. In the fourth embodiment, the second information terminal 20a is an information terminal such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop computer, desktop personal computer, POS terminal, or dedicated terminal owned by the service provider, similar to the first embodiment. In this embodiment, a smartphone is used as an example. In an environment where network communication is available, the communication unit 26 communicates with the server 30 to receive user personal information stored in the server 30 from the server 30 via the Internet line 2. In the second information terminal 20a according to the fourth embodiment, the personal information acquisition function of the calculation unit 25 acquires personal information from a first information code 41 presented by the first information terminal 10a when offline, and acquires user identification information and service information from a second information code 42 presented by the first information terminal 10a when online, and transmits the acquired user identification information and service information to the server 30, thereby acquiring personal information corresponding to the transmitted user identification information and service information from the server 30.
[0058] The server 30 is installed on the Internet line 2 and is capable of communicating with at least the second information terminal 20a. The server 30 has a database (not shown) in which personal information of each user required for each service is stored for each service and for each user. That is, the user's personal information is stored using the user's identification information and service information as keys, and the server 30 can obtain the user's identification information and service information from the second information terminal 20a and, based on the obtained user's identification information and service information, provide only the personal information required for the service used by the user to the second information terminal 20a.
[0059] Next, a personal information provision process according to the fourth embodiment will be described. FIG. 12 is a flowchart showing the personal information provision process according to the fourth embodiment. Note that steps S501, S502, and S508 are similar to steps S101, S102, and S108 of the first embodiment, and therefore will not be described again. In the following, it is assumed that, before the personal information provision process is performed, a first information code 41 including two or more pieces of personal information about the user (including personal information necessary for the service used by the user and unnecessary personal information) and identification information for identifying the user are stored in advance in the storage unit 14 by the information code registration function of the first information terminal 10.
[0060] In step S503, the information code presentation function of the first information terminal 10a determines whether the first information terminal 10a is offline. A known method can be used to determine whether the first information terminal 10a is offline. If the first information terminal 10a is offline, the process proceeds to step S504. If the first information terminal 10a is online, the process proceeds to step S509.
[0061] Because steps S504 to S508 are offline, personal information is provided to the second information terminal 20a in the same manner as in the first embodiment. That is, the user sets the personal information that the user is authorized to provide using the second information terminal 20a (step S504), and then uses the first information terminal 10a to present a first information code 41 containing two or more pieces of personal information about the user (step S505). As a result, the second information terminal 20a reads the first information code 41 (step S506), obtains only the personal information that the user is authorized to provide from the personal information contained in the first information code 41 (step S507), and displays only the personal information that the user is authorized to provide on the display 22 of the second information terminal 20a (step S508).
[0062] Meanwhile, in steps S509 to S515, because the second information terminal 20a is online, it acquires and displays personal information from the server 30. Specifically, first, in step S509, the information code presentation function of the first information terminal 10 acquires service information indicating the service to be used by the user, similar to step S403 in FIG. 9 . Then, in step S510, the information code presentation function presents a second information code 42 including the user's identification information and service information. That is, the information code presentation function creates a second information code 42 including the user's identification information and service information based on the user's identification information stored in the storage unit 14 and the service information acquired in step S509, and displays the second information code 42 on the display 22.
[0063] Next, in step S511, the second information code 42 presented in step S510 is read by the personal information acquisition function of the second information terminal 20a, and in step S512, the personal information acquisition function acquires the user's identification information and service information from the second information code 42 read in step S511. Then, in step S513, the personal information acquisition function transmits the user's identification information and service information acquired in step S512 to the server 30.
[0064] In step S514, the server 30 extracts the user's personal information required for the service from the database based on the user's identification information and service information received from the second information terminal 20 in step S513, and transmits the extracted information to the second information terminal 20a. This allows the personal information acquisition function of the second information terminal 20a to acquire the user's personal information required for the service used by the user from the server 30. Then, in step S515, the information display function of the second information terminal 20a displays the personal information acquired from the server 30 in step S514 on the display 22. The personal information transmitted from the server 30 to the second information terminal 20a may include the same personal information as that included in the first information code 41, as well as personal information with a large data volume that cannot be stored within the storage capacity of the first information code 41, such as an image of the entire face.
[0065] As described above, the personal information providing system 1a according to the fourth embodiment includes a first information terminal 10a, a second information terminal 20a, and a server 30. When offline, the user sets personal information that the user is willing to provide in the second information terminal 20 and presents a first information code 41 containing the personal information on the first information terminal 10a, allowing the service provider to obtain the personal information that the user is willing to provide on the second information terminal 20. When online, the user uses the first information terminal 10 to select a service to be used and presents a second information code 42 containing the user's identification information and service information. The service provider then obtains the user's identification information and service information on the second information terminal 20, and based on the obtained user identification information and service information, can obtain from the server 30 only the user's personal information required for the service to be used by the user. In this way, even in the fourth embodiment, only the user's personal information that the user has permitted to be provided or the user's personal information required for the service is provided to the service provider, thereby effectively preventing personal information unrelated to the service from being provided. Furthermore, in the personal information providing system 1a according to the fourth embodiment, when online, the user's personal information can be acquired from the server 30, and therefore it is possible to provide to the service provider personal information that requires a large storage capacity and cannot be stored in the first information code 41. For example, even if the user's facial image cannot be stored in the first information code 41 due to data capacity restrictions, when online, by providing the user's facial information from the server, the service provider can verify from the user's facial image whether the user in front of them is the same person as the user in the personal information.
[0066] While the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the technical scope of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments. Various modifications and improvements can be made to the above-described embodiments, and such modifications and improvements are also included in the technical scope of the present invention.
[0067] For example, in the first embodiment described above, a configuration in which personal information to be provided to the second information terminal 20 is set in the second information terminal 20 has been exemplified, but the present invention is not limited to this configuration, and the second information terminal 20 may have information regarding personal information necessary for the service and automatically select only the personal information necessary for the service from the first information code 41 presented by the first information terminal 10. For example, the display control function of the calculation unit 15 of the second information terminal 20 may be configured to acquire only the personal information necessary for providing the service from the first information code 41 read from the first information terminal 10 by acquiring the type of personal information necessary for providing the service from the storage unit 24.
[0068] In addition, in the first embodiment described above, an example was given of a configuration in which, when acquiring the user's personal information on the second information terminal 20, only the personal information that the user has permitted to be provided is acquired (step S106), and only the personal information that the user has permitted to be provided is displayed (step S107). However, this configuration is not limited to this, and it is also possible to configure the second information terminal 20 to acquire all the personal information contained in the first information code 41 when acquiring the user's personal information, and to display only the personal information that the user has permitted to be provided.
[0069] Furthermore, in the above-described fourth embodiment, an example was given of a configuration in which, when offline, the second information terminal 20 reads the second information code 42 from the first information terminal 10 (step S511) and transmits the user identification information and usage scene information contained in the second information code 42 to the server 30 (step S513). However, this configuration is not limited to this, and, for example, the first information terminal 10 can transmit the user identification information and usage scene information to the server 30, so that the server 30 can provide personal information such as a facial image to the second information terminal 20.
[0070] In addition, in the first embodiment described above, the first information terminal 10 is configured to store the first information code 41 in the memory unit 14 in advance and display the first information code 41 stored in the memory unit 14 on the display 12, but this is not limited to this, and the first information code 41 can also be created each time the first information code 41 is presented.
