[0062] The inventive step is focused on only applying sunscreen lotion below the chin on a standing person. Applying sunscreen lotion below the chin in a consistent and uniform way across the surface of the skin in a chin to toes direction. With an array of spray jets surrounding the body of a person having sunscreen automatically applied application of a consistent and uniform mist across the surface of the skin in a chin to toes direction. Properly configured with multiple sources for different sunscreens the present invention can be configured to apply a single lotion over the surface of the body of a person or to apply as many different lotions to as many different locations as desired by the user / operator.

[0063] Synchronous coating is achieved by aerosolizing a sunscreen lotion sprayed on the skin from a fully surrounding spray system. This spray system sprays completely around the exterior surface of a person’s body in a ring thus enabling a coating of a person from chin to toes in a continuous coating.

[0064] Making the invention is physically similar to existing products that enable the application of a sunscreen to the body of a person in that there is a booth, generally with four walls wherein at least one has a door, and at least one spray jet for applying a mist of sunscreen lotion. Specificembodiments of the present invention include open air venting at the top and bottom of the walls of the booth for the purpose of ensuring movement of the air in a single top-to-bottom configuration such as with venting and screening, and optionally with air movement exhaust fans with filters providing downdraft.

[0065] Configured for top-to-bottom air flow means to position openings at the top of the walls of the spray booth to enable the creation of a laminar air flow condition wherein the air in the spray booth is flowing top-to-bottom. The preferred embodiment of the present invention has the air flow in the spray booth configured for top-to-bottom laminar air flow. This is done to help prevent inhalation of sprayed sunscreen that does not attach to the skin. With the air always flowing from the top of the booth down out of the bottom of the walls or floor any overspray or un-attached spray is drawn down and away from the head toward the feet of the user because of the downward laminar air flow.

[0066] Each post would have one spray nozzle that will be synchronized with the other posts and move down to provide a consistent and even spray. For example, similar to a motorized car wash where the nozzles move and the car stays stationary. In the present invention a user stands in the spray booth and does not move with an array of spray nozzles spray suntanning lotion, sunscreening lotion, or any other lotion across the surface of the skin on the body of a person from the chin toward over the whole body between the chin and the toes.
