[0015] The example headings for the various sections below are used to facilitate the understanding of the disclosed subject matter and do not limit the scope of the claimed subject  matter in any way. Accordingly, one or more features of one example section can be combined with one or more features of another example section. Furthermore, 5G terminology is used for the sake of clarity of explanation, but the techniques disclosed in the present document are not limited to 5G technology only, and may be used in wireless systems that implemented other protocols, e.g., 6G or beyond.

[0016] The present description describes various embodiments of systems, apparatuses, devices, and methods for wireless communications related to processing information.

[0017] Fig. 1 shows a diagram of an example wireless communication system 100 including a plurality of communication nodes (or just nodes) that are configured to wirelessly communicate with each other. In general, the communication nodes include at least one user device 102 and at least one network device 104. The example wireless communication system 100 in Fig. 1 is shown as including two user devices 102, including a first user device 102 (1) and a second user device 102 (2) , and one network device 104. However, various other examples of the wireless communication system 100 that include any of various combinations of one or more user devices 102 and / or one or more network devices 104 may be possible.

[0018] In general, a user device as described herein, such as the user device 102, may include a single electronic device or apparatus, or multiple (e.g., a network of) electronic devices or apparatuses, capable of communicating wirelessly over a network. A user device may comprise or otherwise be referred to as a user terminal, a user terminal device, or a user equipment (UE) . Additionally, a user device may be or include, but not limited to, a mobile device (such as a mobile phone, a smart phone, a smart watch, a tablet, a laptop computer, vehicle or other vessel (human, motor, or engine-powered, such as an automobile, a plane, a train, a ship, or a bicycle as non-limiting examples) or a fixed or stationary device, (such as a desktop computer or other computing device that is not ordinarily moved for long periods of time, such as appliances, other relatively heavy devices including Internet of things (IoT) , or computing devices used in commercial or industrial environments, as non-limiting examples) . In various embodiments, a user device 102 may include transceiver circuitry 106 coupled to an antenna 108 to effect wireless communication with the network device 104. The transceiver circuitry 106 may also be coupled to a processor 110, which may also be coupled to a memory 112 or other storage device. The  memory 112 may store therein instructions or code that, when read and executed by the processor 110, cause the processor 110 to implement various ones of the methods described herein.

[0019] Additionally, in general, a network device as described herein, such as the network device 104, may include a single electronic device or apparatus, or multiple (e.g., a network of) electronic devices or apparatuses, and may comprise one or more wireless access nodes, base stations, or other wireless network access points capable of communicating wirelessly over a network with one or more user devices and / or with one or more other network devices 104. For example, the network device 104 may comprise a 4G LTE base station, a 5G NR base station, a 5G central-unit base station, a 5G distributed-unit base station, a next generation Node B (gNB) , an enhanced Node B (eNB) , or other similar or next-generation (e.g., 6G) base stations, in various embodiments. A network device 104 may include transceiver circuitry 114 coupled to an antenna 116, which may include an antenna tower 118 in various approaches, to effect wireless communication with the user device 102 or another network device 104. The transceiver circuitry 114 may also be coupled to one or more processors 120, which may also be coupled to a memory 122 or other storage device. The memory 122 may store therein instructions or code that, when read and executed by the processor 120, cause the processor 120 to implement one or more of the methods described herein.

[0020] In various embodiments, two communication nodes in the wireless system 100-such as a user device 102 and a network device 104, two user devices 102 without a network device 104, or two network devices 104 without a user device 102-may be configured to wirelessly communicate with each other in or over a mobile network and / or a wireless access network according to one or more standards and / or specifications. In general, the standards and / or specifications may define the rules or procedures under which the communication nodes can wirelessly communicate, which, in various embodiments, may include those for communicating in millimeter (mm) -Wave bands, and / or with multi-antenna schemes and beamforming functions. In addition or alternatively, the standards and / or specifications are those that define a radio access technology and / or a cellular technology, such as Fourth Generation (4G) Long Term Evolution (LTE) , Fifth Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) , or New Radio Unlicensed (NR-U) , as non-limiting examples.

[0021] Additionally, in the wireless system 100, the communication nodes are configured to wirelessly communicate signals between each other. In general, a communication in the wireless system 100 between two communication nodes can be or include a transmission or a reception, and is generally both simultaneously, depending on the perspective of a particular node in the communication. For example, for a given communication between a first node and a second node where the first node is transmitting a signal to the second node and the second node is receiving the signal from the first node, the first node may be referred to as a source or transmitting node or device, the second node may be referred to as a destination or receiving node or device, and the communication may be considered a transmission for the first node and a reception for the second node. Of course, since communication nodes in a wireless system 100 can both send and receive signals, a single communication node may be both a transmitting / source node and a receiving / destination node simultaneously or switch between being a source / transmitting node and a destination / receiving node.

[0022] Also, particular signals can be characterized or defined as either an uplink (UL) signal, a downlink (DL) signal, or a sidelink (SL) signal. An uplink signal is a signal transmitted from a user device 102 to a network device 104. A downlink signal is a signal transmitted from a network device 104 to a user device 102. A sidelink signal is a signal transmitted from a one user device 102 to another user device 102, or a signal transmitted from one network device 104 to a another network device 104. Also, for sidelink transmissions, a first / source user device 102 directly transmits a sidelink signal to a second / destination user device 102 without any forwarding of the sidelink signal to a network device 104.

[0023] Additionally, signals communicated between communication nodes in the system 100 may be characterized or defined as a data signal or a control signal. In general, a data signal is a signal that includes or carries data, such multimedia data (e.g., voice and / or image data) , and a control signal is a signal that carries control information that configures the communication nodes in certain ways in order to communicate with each other, or otherwise controls how the communication nodes communicate data signals with each other. Also, certain signals may be defined or characterized by combinations of data / control and uplink / downlink / sidelink, including  uplink control signals, uplink data signals, downlink control signals, downlink data signals, sidelink control signals, and sidelink data signals.

[0024] For at least some specifications, such as 5G NR, data and control signals are transmitted and / or carried on physical channels. Generally, a physical channel corresponds to a set of time-frequency resources used for transmission of a signal. Different types of physical channels may be used to transmit different types of signals. For example, physical data channels (or just data channels) , also herein called traffic channels, are used to transmit data signals, and physical control channels (or just control channels) are used to transmit control signals. Example types of traffic channels (or physical data channels) include, but are not limited to, a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) used to communicate downlink data signals, a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) used to communicate uplink data signals, and a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) used to communicate sidelink data signals. In addition, example types of physical control channels include, but are not limited to, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) used to communicate downlink control signals, a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) used to communicate uplink control signals, and a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) used to communicate sidelink control signals. As used herein for simplicity, unless specified otherwise, a particular type of physical channel is also used to refer to a signal that is transmitted on that particular type of physical channel, and / or a transmission on that particular type of transmission. As an example illustration, a PDSCH refers to the physical downlink shared channel itself, a downlink data signal transmitted on the PDSCH, or a downlink data transmission. Accordingly, a communication node transmitting or receiving a PDSCH means that the communication node is transmitting or receiving a signal on a PDSCH.

[0025] Additionally, for at least some specifications, such as 5G NR, and / or for at least some types of control signals, a control signal that a communication node transmits may include control information comprising the information necessary to enable transmission of one or more data signals between communication nodes, and / or to schedule one or more data channels (or one or more transmissions on data channels) . For example, such control information may include the information necessary for proper reception, decoding, and demodulation of a data signals received on physical data channels during a data transmission, and / or for uplink scheduling grants that  inform the user device about the resources and transport format to use for uplink data transmissions. In some embodiments, the control information includes downlink control information (DCI) that is transmitted in the downlink direction from a network device 104 to a user device 102. In other embodiments, the control information includes uplink control information (UCI) that is transmitted in the uplink direction from a user device 102 to a network device 104, or sidelink control information (SCI) that is transmitted in the sidelink direction from one user device 102 (1) to another user device 102 (2) .

[0026] Fig. 2 shows a flow chart of an example method 200 for wireless communication related to information transmission. At block 202, a user device 102 receives a scheduling information, where the scheduling information schedules at least one physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) . At block 204, the user device determines information to be carried in the at least one PUSCH. The information includes at least one of: at least one hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information or channel state information (CSI) . At block 206, the user device 102 transmits to a network device 104 the at least one PUSCH carrying at least one medium access control control element (MAC CE) that includes the information.

[0027] Fig. 3 shows a flow chart of another example method 300 for wireless communication related to information transmission. At block 302, a network device 104 transmits to a user device 102 a scheduling information, where the scheduling information schedules at least one physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) . At block 304, the network device 104 receives from the user device 102 the at least one PUSCH carrying at least one medium access control control element (MAC CE) that includes information, where the information includes at least one of: at least one hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information or channel state information (CSI) .

[0028] The method of any of claims 1 or 2, wherein the information comprises the at least one HARQ information, wherein the at least one MAC CE comprises a HARQ MAC CE that comprises at least one of: the at least one HARQ information, one or more cell indices, one or more HARQ process numbers (HPN) , one or more new data indicators (NDI) , or a bitmap indicating which of the one or more NDIs and / or which of the at least one HARQ information are included in the HARQ MAC CE.

[0029] In some implementations of the method 200 and / or the method 300, the information includes the at least one HARQ information, where each of the at least one HARQ information comprises one-bit that corresponds to a respective one of one or more transport blocks, one or more code block groups, or one or more medium access control (MAC) protocol data units (PDU) .

[0030] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations of the method 200 and / or the method 300, the at least one MAC CE includes a HARQ MAC CE that includes a bitmap indicating which of one or more new data indicators (NDI) and / or which of the at least one HARQ information are included in the HARQ MAC CE, where a length of the bitmap is equal to a total number of HARQ process numbers (HPN) of one or more cells, a total number of the one or more transport blocks, or a total number of the one or more code block groups of all of the HPNs of one or more cells. In some of these implementations, each bit of the bitmap corresponds to a respective one of the one or more transport blocks, a respective one of the one or more code block groups, or a respective one of the one or more MAC PDUs. In some of these implementations, each bit of the bitmap includes a first value or a second value, where the first value indicates that respective HARQ information of the respective one of the one or more transport blocks, the respective one of the one or more code block groups, or the respective one of the one or more MAC PDUs is included in the HARQ MAC CE; and where the second value indicates that the respective HARQ information of the respective one of the or more transport blocks, the respective one of the one of the one or more code block groups, or the respective one of the one or more MAC PDUs is not included in the HARQ MAC CE.

[0033] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations of the method 200 and / or the method 300, the information includes the CSI and the at least one MAC CE includes a CSI MAC CE, the CSI MAC CE including at least one of: a cell index, a bandwidth part (BWP) index, a CSI report index, a system frame number (SFN) , a slot index, or CSI report content. In some of these implementations, the at least one MAC CE is selected to be mapped to the PUSCH, and wherein an order of the selection is determined based on at least one of the cell index, the CSI report index, a CSI report type, or the CSI report content, wherein the CSI report type comprises at least one of: an aperiodic CSI report, a semi-persistent CSI report, or a periodic CSI report. In addition or alternatively, in some of these implementations, the user device 102 transmits and / or the network device 105 receives the at least one MAC CE in response to the at least one PUSCH being able to accommodate the CSI MAC CE, and wherein the user device 102 drops and / or the network device 104 does not receive the at least one MAC CE in response to the at least one PUSCH not being able to accommodate the CSI MAC CE.

[0034] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations of the method 200 and / or the method 300, a PUSCH resource of the at least one PUSCH is indicated by the scheduling information, and the scheduling information schedules at least one physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) . In some of these implementations, the PUSCH resource is from one or more PUSCH resources indicated by the network device 104, and the scheduling information indicates the PUSCH resource. In addition or alternatively, in some of these implementations, a resource configuration for the one or more PUSCH resources includes at least one of a time domain resource, a frequency domain resource, a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration, a modulating and coding scheme (MCS) , a redundancy version (RV) , or a HARQ process number (HPN) .

[0035] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations of the method 200 and / or the method 300, the user device 102 codes at least one MAC CE to generate a plurality of coded bits, where a code rate for the coding is configured by the network device 104 or defined by a  specification or protocol according to which the user device 102 and the network device 104 communicate. In some of these implementations, a MAC sub-header is added to the plurality of coded bits, where the MAC sub-header indicates a length of the plurality of coded bits.

[0036] Other methods and / or other implementations of the method 200 and / or the method 300 are possible, including but not limited to those that combine one or more aspects from each of two or more of the methods 200 and 300 and / or those that include fewer than all of the aspects for an above recited implementation of the method 200 and / or 300.

[0037] Further details of actions performed by communication nodes in the wireless communication system 100, any or all of which may be implemented in any of various implementations of the method 200, the method 300, and / or other methods, are now described.

[0038] In some implementations, a user device 102 may transmit a first information to the network device 104. In some of these implementations, the first information may be carried by, or included in, a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) or a radio resource control (RRC) signaling. The MAC CE or RRC signaling may be transmitted in a PUSCH. The first information may include at least one of a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information (e.g., a HARQ-ACK codebook) or channel information state (CSI) .

[0039] Accordingly, in particular of these implementations, the MAC CE may carry or include the HARQ-ACK information. As used herein a MAC CE that carries or includes HARQ-ACK information is referred to as a HARQ MAC CE. The HARQ MAC CE may include at least one of: one or more HARQ information, one or more cell indices, one or more HARQ process numbers (HPN) , one or more new data indicators (NDI) , one or more bitmaps, or one or more reserved bits.

[0040] Additionally, as used herein, one HPN may support or be used for one or more transport blocks (TBs) . For example, one or more transport blocks may be scheduled for one HPN.

[0041] Additionally, in some implementations, a transport block (TB) -based HARQ feedback may be configured or applied. In some implementations of TB-based HARQ feedback, one information bit may correspond to one TB. In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, code block group (CBG) -based HARQ feedback may be configured or applied. For code block group (CBG) based HARQ feedback, one information bit may correspond to one CBG.  Additionally, one or more information bits (e.g., L bits) may correspond to one TB. In such implementations, L is the number (or maximum number) of the CBGs included in one TB. The L information bits may be ordered based on the CBG index. For example, the L information bits may be ordered in ascending or descending order of the CBG index. Within each set L bits, the first information bit may correspond to first CBG of the TB, the second information bit may correspond to second CBG of the TB, and so on.

[0042] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a first type of HARQ MAC CE may include one or more information blocks. Each information block may include at least one of a cell index field, a HARQ process number (HPN) field, a new data indicator (NDI) field, a HARQ information field, or one or more reserved bits. The HARQ-ACK information may include one or more bits. Additionally, a length of one field or one information block is the number of bits of the field or the information block.

[0043] Additionally, in some implementations, the cell index field may be used to indicate the cell index. In some implementations, a length of the cell index may be configured by the network device 104 or defined by a specification or protocol according to which the communication nodes of the wireless communication system 100 are configured to operate. For example, the network device 104 may configure the length of the cell index field by RRC signaling, a MAC CE, or downlink control information (DCI) . In other implementations, the length of the cell index may be determined by the number of cells configured for the user device 102. For example, the user device 102 may be configured with N cells. Correspondingly, the length of the cell index field may be  Assuming the length of the cell index field is two, the first value of the cell index field (e.g., '00' ) may indicate the first cell, and the second value of the cell index field (e.g., '01' ) may indicate the second cell, and so on. The first cell may be the cell with the smallest or largest cell index, and the second cell may be the cell with the second smallest (or largest) cell index, and so on.

[0044] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the HPN field may be used to indicate the HPN. In addition, in some implementations, a length of the HPN field may be determined by the number of HARQ processes for the cell. In some of these implementations, the cell may be indicated by the cell index field or by the cell index field within the same information  block. Similar as the cell indication, the first value of the HPN field may indicate a first HPN, the second value of the HPN field may indicate a second HPN, and so on.

[0045] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, one information block may include one or more NDI fields. The length of the NDI field or the number of NDI fields may be configured by the network device 104, or determined based on the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks (TBs) of one HARQ process or the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI. The number of transport blocks (TBs) of one HARQ process may be configured by the network device 104. More specifically, the length of the NDI field or the number of NDI fields may be equal to the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks of one HARQ process, or the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI. In some implementations, the one NDI field may include one bit. Accordingly, the value of an NDI may include '0' or '1' . A value used for a given NDI may be the latest NDI value for one transport block. If there is no NDI value, the default NDI value may be ‘0’ or ‘1’ .

[0046] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a HARQ information field may indicate the HARQ information (or HARQ-ACK information) . The HARQ information may include one or more bits. In some implementations, one information block may include one HARQ information field. For TB-based HARQ feedback, the length of the HARQ information field may be determined based on the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks (TBs) of one HARQ process, or the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI. In particular of these implementations, the length of the HARQ information field may be equal to the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks of one HARQ process, or the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI. The first bit of the HARQ information field may be (or indicate) the HARQ information of the first transport block, the second bit of the HARQ information field may be (or indicate) the HARQ information of the second transport block, and so on. For code block group (CBG) based HARQ feedback, the length of the HARQ information field may be determined based on at least one of: the number (or the maximum number) of the CBGs included in one TB, the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks (TBs) of one HARQ process, or the number (or maximum number) of transport  blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI. In particular of these implementations, the length of the HARQ information field may be equal to the number (or the maximum number) of the CBGs included in one TB times the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks of one HARQ process, or times the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI. Within the HARQ information field, the first L bits may be the HARQ information corresponding to the first TB, and the second L bits may be the HARQ information corresponding to the second TB, and so on.

[0047] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, one information block may include one or more HARQ information fields. The number of the HARQ information fields may be determined based on the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks (TBs) of one HARQ process, or the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI. More specifically, the number of the HARQ information fields may be equal to the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks of one HARQ process, or the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI. The bit (s) of the first HARQ information field may include the HARQ information of the first transport block, and the bit (s) of the second HARQ information field may include the HARQ information of the second transport block, and so on. In some implementations, the number of the HARQ information fields may be determined based on at least one of: the number (or the maximum number) of the CBGs included in one TB, the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks (TBs) of one HARQ process, or the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI. In particular of these implementations, the number of the HARQ information fields may be equal to the number (or the maximum number) of the CBGs included in one TB times the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks of one HARQ process, or times the number (or maximum number) of transport blocks that can be scheduled by one DCI.

[0048] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the HARQ information may correspond to the transport block (s) with the HPN indicated by the HPN field in the same information block and / or the cell indicated by the cell index field in the same information block.

[0049] In addition or alternatively, the reserved bit (s) may include one or more bits. In any of various implementations, the information block may or may not include the reserved bit (s) . In  addition or alternatively, any two of the one or more information blocks may have respective lengths that are the same as or different from each other.

[0050] Fig. 4 is a diagram of an example of a HARQ MAC CE. In the example in Fig. 4, the HARQ MAC CE includes four information blocks, denoted by block A, B, C and D. Each information block has a 2-bit cell index field. The cell index field in block A has the value '00' , indicating a cell 0. Further, suppose in the example that in cell 0, there are eight HARQ processes. Correspondingly, the HPN field in block A has 3 bits, which is The value '011' indicates an HPN value of 3. Also, in cell 0, TB-based feedback is configured, and there is one TB for one HARQ process. Correspondingly, a 1-bit NDI field and a 1-bit HARQ information field are included in the block A, each of which correspond to the TB of HPN 3 in cell 0. In addition, the value '1' of NDI field in block A indicates that the NDI value is 1 for the TB of HPN 3 in cell 0. Also, the 1-bit HARQ information field indicates the HARQ information of the TB of the HPN 3 in cell 0. In total, the information block A has seven bits.

[0051] Still referring to the example in Fig. 4, the cell index field in block B has the value '01' indicating a cell 1. In cell 1, there are four HARQ processes. Correspondingly, the HPN field in block A has 2 bits, which is The value '10' indicates an HPN value of 2. Additionally, in cell 1, CBG-based feedback is configured and there are two TBs for one HARQ process. Each TB includes 2 CBGs. Correspondingly, a 2-bit NDI field and a 4-bit HARQ information field are included in the block A, each of which correspond to the TB of HPN 2 in cell 1. In addition, the value '1' and the value '0' of the NDI field in block B indicates that the NDI value is 1 and 0 for the first and the second TBs of HPN 2 in cell 1, respectively. Also, the first, second, third and fourth bits of the HARQ information field indicate the HARQ information of the first CBG of the first TB, the second CBG of the first TB, the first CBG of the second TB, and the second CBG of the second TB of the HPN 2 in cell 1, respectively. In total, the information block B has 10 bits.

[0052] Further, in the example in Fig. 4, the cell index field in block C has the value '10' indicating a cell 2. In cell 2, there are two HARQ processes. Correspondingly, the HPN field in block A has 1 bit, which is The value '1' indicates an HPN value of 1. For illustration purposes, the example in HARQ MAC CE is further configured such that the NDI field is not included in the information block for cell 2. Correspondingly, there is no NDI field in information  block C. In cell 2, TB-based feedback is configured and there is one TB for one HARQ process. Correspondingly, a 1-bit HARQ information field is included in block C. Further, the 1-bit HARQ information field in block C indicates the HARQ information of the TB of the HPN 1 in cell 2. In total, the information block C has 5 bits. Additionally, in the example in Fig. 4, the cell index field in block D has the value '10' indicating a cell 2. Similarly, the HPN field in block D has 1 bit and the value '0' indicates an HPN value of 0. The 1-bit HARQ information field in block D indicates the HARQ information of the TB of the HPN 0 in cell 2. In total, the information block D has 5 bits.

[0053] Of further note, the R in Fig. 4 denotes reserved bits, which includes seven bits in the example.

[0054] Additionally, in some implementations, for each block, the cell index field indicates one cell. Based on the HARQ process configuration of the cell, the length of the HPN field for the information block may be determined. Also, the length of the NDI field for the information block may be determined based on the number of TBs of one HPN in the cell. In addition, the length of the HARQ information field may also be determined. Since the lengths may be determined, subsequent or separate fields to indicate the lengths may not be and / or may not have to be utilized.

[0055] Additionally, in some implementations, the information blocks may be ordered, such as in an ascending or descending order, according to at least one of the HPN or cell index. For example, the information block may be ordered first in ascending or descending order of the HPN, and second in ascending or descending order of the cell index. In some of these implementations, the HPN field and / or the cell index field may not be included in the information block.

[0056] Fig. 5 is a diagram of another example of a HARQ MAC CE. In the example in Fig. 5, the HARQ MAC CE includes a total of 56 bits, denoted by a1, ..., a8, b1, …b8, …, g1, …, g8. To further illustrate an example implementation with respect to the HARQ MAC CE of Fig. 5, suppose there are two cells, denoted by cell 0 and cell 1. In cell 0, there are 16 HARQ processes, denoted by HPN 0-15. One HARQ process supports one TB and TB-based feedback is configured. Correspondingly, the information block for cell 0 includes a 1-bit NDI field and a 1-bit HARQ information field. In other words, the information block for cell 0 has two bits and there are 16 information blocks for cell 0. Correspondingly, in the example, two-bit set 'a1, a2' is a first  information block and corresponds to HPN 0 of cell 0, where 'a0' is the NDI value and 'a2' is the HARQ information of the TB of HPN 0 in cell 0. Additionally, in the example, two-bit set 'a3, a4' is a second information block and corresponds to HPN 1 of cell 0, where 'a3' is the NDI value and 'a4' is the HARQ information of the TB of HPN 1 in cell 0. Other two-bit sets (e.g., ‘a5, a6’ and ‘a7, a8’ ) may be similarly configured. Also, of further note, two-bit set 'd7, d8' is the sixteenth information block and corresponds to HPN 15 of cell 0, where ‘d7’ is the NDI value and 'd8' is the HARQ information of the TB of HPN 15 in cell 0.

[0057] Still referring to the example in Fig. 5, suppose in cell 1, there are 8 HARQ processes, denoted by HPN 0-7, respectively. One HARQ process supports one TB and CBG-based feedback is configured. One TB includes two CBGs. Correspondingly, the information block for cell 1 includes a 1-bit NDI field and a 2-bit HARQ information field. In other words, the information block for cell 1 has three bits and there are eight information blocks for cell 0. Correspondingly, three-bit set 'e1, e2, e3' is a first information block and corresponds to HPN 0 of the cell 1, where 'e0' is the NDI value and 'e2, e3' is the HARQ information of the TB of HPN 0 in cell 1. Additionally, three-bit set 'e4, a5, e6' is a second information block and corresponds to HPN 1 of the cell 1, where 'e4' is the NDI value and 'e5, e6' are the HARQ information of the TB of HPN 1 in cell 1, Other three-bit sets may be similarly configured. Of further note, three-bit set 'g6, g7, g8' is the eighth information block and corresponds to HPN 7 of cell 1, where 'g6' is the NDI value and 'g7, g8' is the HARQ information of the TB of HPN 7 in cell 1) .

[0058] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a second type of HARQ MAC CE may include at least one of: a HARQ information field, an NDI field, or reserved bits. In some of these implementations, a length of the NDI field may be configured by the network device 104, defined by a specification or protocol according to which communication nodes of the wireless communication system 100 communication and / or operate, or is determined based on at least one: of the number of HPN, and the number (e.g., a maximum number) of TBs of one HARQ process, or a number of cells. For example, the length of the NDI fields may be equal to total number of TBs across all of the HPNs across all of the cells. The number of TBs for one cell may be equal to the number of HPNs times a number (e.g., a maximum number) of TBs of one HARQ process. Each bit in the NDI field may indicate the NDI value for one TB. The bits of the NDI field may be  ordered based on at least one of the HPN, the TB (e.g., the TB index of the TB) , and the cell index. For example, the bits of the NDI field may be ordered first according to an order (such as ascending order or a descending order) of the TB index (if any) , and second according to an order (e.g., an ascending or descending order) of the HPN (if any) , and third according to an order (e.g., an ascending or descending order) of the cell index (if any) .

[0059] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a length of the HARQ information field may be configured by the network device 104, defined according to a specification or protocol according to which the communication nodes of the wireless communication system 100 are configured to operate, or determined based on at least one of the number of HPNs, a number (e.g., maximum number) of TBs of one HARQ process, and a number (e.g., the maximum number) of CBGs included in one TB. Each bit in the HARQ information field may correspond to one TB or one CBG. Additionally, each bit in the HARQ information field may include the HARQ information of the corresponding TB or CBG. The bits of the NDI field may be ordered based on at least one of the HPN, the TB (e.g., the TB index of the TB) , the CBG (e.g., the CBG index of the CBG) and the cell index. For example, the bits of the NDI field may be ordered first according to an order (e.g., an ascending or descending order) of the CBG index (if any) , and second according to an order (e.g., an ascending or descending order) of the TB index (if any) , and third according to an order (e.g., an ascending or descending order) of the HPN (if any) , and fourth according to an order (e.g., an ascending or descending order) of the cell index (if any) .

[0060] To further illustrate an example still referring to Fig. 5, suppose in the example that the bits 'a1, a2, …, c7, c8' are the NDI values, where 'a1, a2, …, b7, b8' correspond to the TB of HPNs 0-15 in cell 0. Additionally, 'c1, c2, …, c8' correspond to the TB of HPNs 0-7 in cell 1, and 'd1, d2, …, g7, g8' are HARQ information; 'd1, d2, …, e7, e8' correspond to the TB of HPN 0-15 in cell 0; and 'f1, f2, …, g8' correspond to the TB of HPNs 0-7 in cell 1, where each two bits correspond to one TB.

[0061] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a third type of HARQ MAC CE may include at least one of: a bitmap, an NDI, or HARQ information. In at least some of these implementations of the third type of HARQ MAC CE, the bitmap may indicate which NDI and / or which HARQ information are included in the HARQ MAC CE. In some embodiments, the length  of bitmap may be determined based on at least one of the number of HARQ processes and the number of cells. The length of the bitmap may be equal to the total number of HARQ processes of all of the cells. Each bit may correspond to one HPN. Each bit may indicate whether the NDI or the HARQ information of the corresponding TB is included in the HARQ MAC CE. The bit of the bitmap may be ordered based on at least one of the corresponding HPN and the corresponding cell index. The bit order may be determined the same or similar as the information block ordering as previously described. The NDI or the HARQ information included in the HARQ MAC CE of the third type may be ordered in accordance with the ordering of the information blocks, the L information bits, and / or the bits of the NDI field, as previously described.

[0062] Fig. 6 shows a diagram of another example of a HARQ MAC CE. The features of the HARQ MAC CE in Fig. 6 are the same as the example in Fig. 5, except as otherwise described, as follows. In the example in Fig. 6, cell 0 and cell 1 have 24 HARQ processes in total. Correspondingly, the bitmap has 24 bits. Additionally, the bitmap includes bits 'a1, a2, …, c7, c8' , where 'a1, a2, …, b7, b8' correspond to HPN 0-15 in cell 0, respectively, and 'c1, c2, …, c8' corresponds to HPN 0-7 in cell 1, respectively. Also, the bitmap values of '01001000, 00110000, 10001001' indicate that the HARQ information of the TB of HPN 1, HPN 4, and HPN 11, HPN 12 in cell 0 and of HPN 0, HPN 5, and HPN 8 in cell 1 are included. Based on the order above, 'd1' , 'd2' , 'd3' , and 'd4' are the HARQ information of the TB of HPN 1, HPN 4, and HPN 11, HPN 12 in cell 0, respectively. Also, 'd5, d6' , 'd7, d8' , and 'e1, e2' are the HARQ information of TB of HPN 0, HPN 5, and HPN 8 in cell 1, respectively. Also, similar to Fig. 4, R represents the reserved bits in the HARQ MAC CE.

[0070] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the dormancy feedback MAC CE or the TCI feedback MAC CE may include at least one of a bitmap or reserved bit (s) . The length of the bitmap may be configured by the network, or specified by the protocol, or determined based on the number of cells. For example, the length of the bitmap may be equal to the number of cells configured by the network. Each bit may correspond to one cell. The first bit may correspond to the cell (e.g., the cell with the smallest or largest cell index) , and the second bit may correspond to the second cell (e.g., the cell with the second smallest or largest cell index) , and so on. A first bit value (e.g., '0' ) may indicate that the UE does not receive the DCI indicating the corresponding cell  dormancy or the UE does not receive the DCI indicating the TCI update for the corresponding cell. A second bit value (e.g., '1' ) may indicate that the UE receives the DCI indicating the corresponding cell dormancy or the UE receives the DCI indicating the TCI update for the corresponding cell. The UE may receive the DCI that indicates the dormancy of the at least one cell or TCI update for at least one cell. The corresponding bit in the dormancy feedback MAC CE is set to '1' .

[0071] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a MAC CE may carry a CSI report. Such a MAC CE is referred to herein as a CSI MAC CE. The CSI MAC CE may include at least one of a cell index, a BWP index, a CSI report index, a system frame number (SFN) , a slot index, or CSI report content.

[0072] In some implementations, a length of the CSI report index field may be configured by the network device 104, defined by a specification or protocol according to which the communication nodes of the wireless communication system 100 are configured to communicate or operate, or determined based on a number of configured CSI reports. For example, the length of the CSI report index field may be where C is the number of CSI reports.

[0073] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the CSI may be configured or indicated to be transmitted on a slot. The SFN of the slot and / or the slot index of the slot may be included in the CSI MAC CE.

[0074] Fig. 7 shows a diagram of an example of a CSI MAC CE. In the example in Fig. 7, the CSI MAC CE may include a CSI index field, a SFN field, a slot index field, and a CSI content field. To further illustrate the example, suppose in the example that the network device 104 configure the CSI report with index 11 to be transmitted on slot 5 of SFN 467. Correspondingly, the CSI index field is set to '001011' , the SFN field is set to '0111010011' , and the slot index field is set to '0101' . The CSI content may include the CSI information to be reported. In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, reserved bit (s) are used to byte align the length of the CSI MAC CE.

[0075] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the user device 102 may transmit a PUSCH to the network device 104. In some of these implementations, one or more MAC protocol data units (PDU) may be generated for the PUSCH. One or more MAC CEs and / or the  data may be multiplexed (e.g., concatenated) to form a MAC PDU. The user device 102 may select the MAC CE based on the priority. In some implementations, the user device 102 may first select the MAC CE with higher (or a highest) priority from among the one or more MAC CEs. In addition or alternatively, in any of various implementations, the HARQ MAC CE and / or the feedback MAC CE may have the same or different priority as the CSI MAC CE. For example, in some implementations, the HARQ MAC CE and / or the feedback MAC CE may have the same priority as the CSI MAC CE. In other implementations, the HARQ MAC CE and / or the feedback MAC CE may have a higher priority than the priority of the CSI MAC CE. In still other implementations, the HARQ MAC CE and / or the feedback MAC CE may a lower priority than the priority of the CSI MAC CE.

[0076] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the one or more CSI MAC CE may be selected. In some of these implementations, the CSI MAC CE may be selected in an order or based on priority of the CSI MAC CE. The order or the priority of the CSI MAC CE may be determined based on at least one of a cell index, a CSI report index, a CSI report type, or CSI report content. The CSI report type may include at least one of: an aperiodic CSI report, a periodic report, or a semi-persistent CSI report. The CSI content may include at least one of: a reference signal receiving power (RSRP) , a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) , a signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR) , a channel quality indicator (CQI) , a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) , a CSI-RS resource indicator (CRI) , a synchronization signal (SS)  / physical broadcast channel (PBCH) block resource indicator (SSBRI) , a layer indicator (LI) , a rank indicator (RI) , capability index and time-domain channel properties (TDCP) .

[0077] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a PUSCH may be transmitted on a given slot. The CSI MAC CE carrying the CSI that is transmitted on the given slot, or the CSI MAC CE having a slot index of the given slot may be selected.

[0078] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations or situations, the PUSCH may not be able to accommodate all of the CSI MAC CE. As a non-limiting example, suppose all of the CSI MAC CE are to be transmitted in a TB and / or in a certain time unit (e.g., slot) in a PUSCH. The PUSCH may not be able to accommodate all of the CSI MAC CE in event that a transport block size (TBS) of the transport block is less than a total size of all of the CSI MAC CE. In at  least some of these implementations, in response to the PUSCH not being able to accommodate of the CSI MAC CE, then the user device 102 may drop the CSI MAC CE. In some of these implementations, the CSI MAC CE may be dropped according to the priority until the PUSCH can accommodate the CSI MAC CE. In particular of these implementations, the CSI MAC CE with the lower priority may be dropped first. In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the CSI content in one MAC CE may include at least one of a first CSI part or a second CSI part. In event that the PUSCH may be able to accommodate a CSI MAC CE including the first CSI part but may not be able to accommodate a CSI MAC CE including both the first CSI part of CSI and the second CSI part, then at least some of the second CSI part may be dropped until the CSI MAC CE can be accommodated. In other words, some of the second CSI part may ultimately not be included in the CSI MAC CE.

[0079] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, one MAC CE may include a MAC CE header. The MAC CE header may include at least one of: a format indicator, a logical channel index indicator, a length indicator, or reserved bit (s) . The format indicator may indicate a MAC CE format or a MAC sub-PDU format of a MAC sub-PDU. The logical channel index indicator may indicate a logical channel index of the MAC CE or the MAC sub-PDU. The length indicator may indicate the length of the MAC CE or the MAC sub-PDU.

[0080] Accordingly, through implementations of the implementations described above, the user device 102 may transmit HARQ information, CSI, feedback of SCell dormancy indication information, TCI update information, and / or SPS activation and / or de-activation information to the network device 104 with enhanced efficiency.

[0081] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a PUSCH may carry one or more TBs. In some of these implementations, one TB may include at least one MAC PDU. One MAC PDU may include at least a MAC PDU sequence number (SN) . For example, a MAC PDU SN field may include eight bits, which may be able to indicate the MAC PDU SN from 0 to 255. Additionally, one TB may correspond to one or more HARQ information bits.

[0082] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, one MAC PDU may include at least one of a cell index or a MAC PDU SN. The MAC PDU may be transmitted on a cell indicated  by the cell index. In other words, the index of the cell in which the MAC PDU is transmitted may be included in the MAC PDU.

[0083] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a MAC PDU may include at least a MAC PDU header. In some of these implementations, a length of the MAC PDU header may be fixed. In addition or alternatively, a length of the MAC PDU header may be configured by the network device or defined by a specification or protocol according to which the communication nodes of the wireless communication system 100 are configured to operate and / or communicate. In addition or alternatively, the MAC PDU header may include a field indicating the MAC PDU SN. In addition or alternatively, the MA PDU header may include another field indicating the cell index. In addition or alternatively, the length of the field included in the MAC PDU header may be fixed.

[0084] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the HARQ information bits may correspond to one or more MAC PDUs. The user device 102 may transmit the HARQ information to the network device 104. At least one of a first MAC PDU of the one or more MAC PDUs, the number of the one or more MAC PDUs, or the length or the number of HARQ information may be indicated by a DCI, a MAC CE or RRC signaling. In addition or alternatively, the HARQ information bits of one or more TBs may be ordered according to at least one of the cell index or the MAC PDU SN. For example, the HARQ information bits may be ordered first according to an order (e.g., an ascending or descending order) of the MAC PDU SN (if any) , and order second according to an order (e.g., an ascending or descending order) of the cell index (if any) . To illustrate as an example, suppose the DCI indicates that the first MAC PDU is MAC PDU 25. Additionally or alternatively, suppose the DCI indicates the number of MAC PDUs is 16. Assuming that TB based feedback is used, the HARQ information may include 16 bits, where a first bit, a second bit, …, a last bit may correspond to MAC PDU 25, MAC PDU 26, …, and to MAC PDU 40, respectively.

[0085] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the HARQ information of one or more MAC PDUs may be transmitted in a PUCCH or PUSCH. In some of these implementations, the HARQ MAC CE may include the MAC PDU SN. Correspondingly, any of the above implementations involving a HPN may instead of be performed with a MAC PDU SN. In addition  or alternatively, in some of these implementations, the HARQ information and the data (e.g., UL-shared channel (SCH) ) may multiplexed in the PUSCH.

[0086] Accordingly, through performance of these implementations, the user device 102 and the network device 104 may have the same understanding as the HARQ information size and / or sequence, which in turn may provide enhanced likelihood of correct decoding of the HARQ information.

[0087] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the network device 104 may configure one or more PUSCH resources. Correspondingly, in some implementations, a PUSCH configuration may include at least one of a time domain resource configuration, a frequency domain resource configuration, a DMRS configuration, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) , a new data indicator (NDI) , a redundancy version (RV) , or a HPN. In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, a PUSCH configuration may be configured by the network device 104 or defined by a specification or protocol according to which the communication nodes in the wireless communication system 100 operate and / or communication. For example, the network device 104 may configure a PUSCH configuration by a system information block (SIB) or dedicated RRC signaling. In addition or alternatively, the time domain resource configuration may include the time domain resource within a slot (e.g., a starting orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol and / or a number of symbols) , or a slot offset between the PUSCH resource and a DCI. The frequency domain resource may include at least one of the starting physical resource block (PRB) , the starting resource element (RE) , or the number of PRB (or RE) . In some implementations, the RV may not be included in the PUSCH configuration. In addition or alternatively, a default RV (e.g., the RV 0) may be for the PUSCH resource.

[0088] In addition or alternatively, the user device 102 may transmit the PUSCH to the network device 104. Correspondingly, a DCI may schedule at least one PDSCH. In addition or alternatively, the DCI may indicate the PUSCH resource from the one or more PUSCH resources. The PUSCH may carry at least one MAC CE, such as at least one of the above-described MAC CEs. The DCI may indicate the HPN for the PDSCH and / or the HPN for the PUSCH. In some of these implementations, the HPN of the PUSCH may be determined based on the PDSCH. For example, the PDSCH and the PUSCH may have the same HPN. In addition or alternatively, in some of these  implementations, the DCI may include a PUSCH resource index and / or a PUSCH order (e.g., a first PUSCH resource, a second PUSCH resource, and so on) .

[0089] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, the DCI may schedule a first PDSCH and indicate a first PUSCH. The first PUSCH may carry the HARQ information for the first PUSCH. In addition, in some implementations, the PUSCH may carry the HARQ MAC CE that only includes the HARQ information for the first PUSCH. In other implementations, one or more DCI may schedule one or more PDSCHs. The one or more DCIs may indicate the PUSCH in the same slot. The one or more DCIs may indicate the same PUSCH resource. From the perspective of the user device 102, the user device 102 may expect that the same PUSCH resource is indicated by the one or more DCIs. In addition or alternatively, the PUSCH may carry the HARQ information for the one or more PDSCHs.

[0090] In some embodiments, the network may configure a PUSCH resource for a CSI report. Such PUSCH is referred to as CSI PUSCH. Such CSI PUSCH resource can be configured by RRC signaling, or activated by DCI, or scheduled by DCI. In the case of a CSI PUSCH configured by RRC signaling or activated by DCI overlaps with a PUSCH scheduled by DCI, the UE may transmit the PUSCH scheduled by the DCI. The CSI is transmitted on the PUSCH scheduled by the DCI.

[0091] In addition or alternatively, in some implementations, more than one PUSCH may overlap in the time domain. One of the more than one PUSCH may include a CSI PUSCH, a configured grant PUSCH, or a PUSCH scheduled by the DCI. In some implementations, the configured grant PUSCH may be configured by RRC signaling, or configured by RRC signaling and further activated by DCI. In addition or alternatively, each PUSCH may be configured with a PUSCH index. The user device 102 may transmit one of the more than one PUSCH with the smallest PUSCH index or a CSI report index. In addition or alternatively, the user device 102 may select the PUSCH for transmission according to the following procedure. In a first part of the procedure, the user device 102 may select a PUSCH with the smallest PUSCH index or CSI report index as a survival PUSCH. In a second part of the procedure, a PUSCH overlapping with the survival PUSCH may be dropped. In a third part of the procedure, the user device 102 may repeat the first two steps until there are no overlapping PUSCH in the time domain or until the number of  the survival PUSCH is equal to a user device capability. In some of these implementations, the user device capability is the number of PUSCH that the user device 102 can transmit in one slot. The user device 102 may transmit all the survival PUSCH (s) .

[0092] Accordingly, through performance of the above-described implementations, the user device 102 may determine the PUSCH for transmitting the HARQ information or CSI. Correspondingly, the network device 104 and the user device 102 may have the same understanding as to the transmitted PUSCH, which may enhance the efficiency and / or the likelihood of correct PUSCH decoding.

[0093] In addition, other implementations may include any one or more or a combination of the above-described implementations, except that the information can be transmitted on a PUCCH instead of a PUSCH (i.e., PUSCH can be replaced with PUCCH) .

[0094] The description and accompanying drawings above provide specific example embodiments and implementations. The described subject matter may, however, be embodied in a variety of different forms and, therefore, covered or claimed subject matter is intended to be construed as not being limited to any example embodiments set forth herein. A reasonably broad scope for claimed or covered subject matter is intended. Among other things, for example, subject matter may be embodied as methods, devices, components, systems, or non-transitory computer-readable media for storing computer codes. Accordingly, embodiments may, for example, take the form of hardware, software, firmware, storage media or any combination thereof. For example, the method embodiments described above may be implemented by components, devices, or systems including memory and processors by executing computer codes stored in the memory.

[0095] Throughout the specification and claims, terms may have nuanced meanings suggested or implied in context beyond an explicitly stated meaning. Likewise, the phrase “in one embodiment / implementation” as used herein does not necessarily refer to the same embodiment and the phrase “in another embodiment / implementation” as used herein does not necessarily refer to a different embodiment. It is intended, for example, that claimed subject matter includes combinations of example embodiments in whole or in part.
