Description

packaging

[0001] The present invention relates to a packaging body for use in packaging sheet-like materials. This application claims priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2023-216256, filed in Japan on December 21, 2023, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.

[0002] Wet tissues, which are moistened sheets made by impregnating paper, woven fabric, or nonwoven fabric fiber materials with a medicinal solution containing alcohol, moisturizer, surfactant, etc., are stored in airtight and water-impermeable packaging containers to prevent them from drying out. There are a variety of moistened tissues, including those used to wipe away skin stains, remove makeup, wipe infants' bottoms, and clean up. These moistened tissues are packaged in airtight and water-impermeable packaging to prevent the impregnated medicinal solution from drying out. An access opening is formed in the approximate center of the surface of such a packaging body, and a lid member is repeatedly attached to the top of this access opening so that it can be opened, closed, and sealed.

[0003] For example, Patent Document 1 describes a packaging container for wet tissues, particularly a packaging container that is made up of a container body and an opening / closing lid made of plastic resin and has an opening / closing mechanism that opens and closes the opening / closing lid by utilizing the elasticity of a resin spring. The invention of Patent Document 1 is said to be able to obtain a packaging container for wet tissues that does not require a special member such as a locking pin member to lock an elastic plate to the main container body, has a simple structure, is easy to assemble, and does not require sorting when discarded.

[0004] However, in recent years, with the increasing awareness of environmental issues, there has been a demand to reduce the use of these plastic materials and synthetic resin materials. From this perspective, it is preferable to use paper materials, and in some cases, paper packaging containers are manufactured and used.

[0005] In the case of such paper packaging containers, the paper member is folded to form, for example, a box-shaped packaging container, but in this process, fold marks remain on some of the sides, which are not desirable in terms of appearance (aesthetics).

[0006] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2021-98523

Fig. 6(B) is a perspective view showing an aspect of covering the entire side surface.

[0016] The packaging body according to the present invention will be described in detail below. Note that the present invention is not limited to the following examples, and can be modified as desired without departing from the gist of the present invention.

[0017] 1 is a perspective view showing an example of a package according to an embodiment of the present invention. One aspect of the present invention is package 1, which includes a main body 10 for storing a stack of sheet-like materials, an outlet 5 for removing the sheet-like materials from main body 10, and a lid member 20 attached to cover outlet 5 in a manner that allows for repeated opening and closing, wherein main body 10 is a box-shaped container made of a cylindrical material primarily composed of paper, with side walls formed by folding both ends of the cylindrical material as fold margins, and fold margins 30 after folding are covered with a sealing member 40.

[0018] In one aspect of the present invention, the main body 10 is formed in a box shape, and the lid member 20 is formed on the top surface of the box-shaped main body 10. As an example, as shown in Figure 1, the main body 10 is a cardboard box formed in a sealed structure except for the outlet 5, and a lid member 20 that opens and closes the outlet 5 is provided on the top surface 15 of the main body 10. The inside of the main body 10 contains wet sheets, for example, a stack of sheet-like materials such as wet wipes, stacked so that they can be fed out one by one. Note that although the package 1 according to the present invention is primarily intended for wet sheets, it may also be applied to packaging dry sheets.

[0019] The main body 10 may directly package a stack of sheet-like materials, or may be, for example, a pillow-type package having a box-shaped main body on the exterior thereof.

[0020] The main body 10 has a size and shape that allows it to store a stack of sheet-like materials. As described above, the main body 10 is formed from a material primarily composed of paper. The paper constituting the main body is, for example, a suitable paper material with a predetermined thickness and strength, such as cardboard, a composite material including a paper layer, or synthetic paper. The main body 10 is, for example, a cubic or rectangular box-like shape as shown in FIG. 1 , and includes a front portion 11, a left side portion 12, a back portion 13, and a right side portion 14 formed on four sides, a top portion 15 connecting the upper ends of these portions, and a bottom portion 16 that faces the top portion 15 in the vertical direction and connects the lower ends thereof.

[0021] The sheet-like material contained in the package 1 is a wet-strength fibrous material, such as a nonwoven fabric made of pulp, cotton, synthetic fiber, or the like, paper made of natural pulp, synthetic pulp, or cloth such as gauze, impregnated with a liquid component or solution, such as water, alcohol, fragrance, lotion, medicine, or surfactant. The stack of sheet-like materials may be stored in the package in a so-called pop-up format, in which each sheet is folded and overlapped with the other, allowing the wet wipes to be taken out successively from the package's outlet, or in a so-called sheet-fed format, in which the folded wet wipes are stacked without overlapping. The wet wipes stored in the package may be face masks, makeup removers, baby wipes, cleaning wipes, etc.

[0022] An outlet 5 for removing sheet-like materials is formed in the upper surface 15 of the main body 10. The outlet 5 is formed, for example, in the center of the upper surface 15 and is large enough to remove sheet-like materials. When pillow-packaged products are stored inside the box-shaped container, the outlet for the pillow-packaged products is located within the range of the outlet 5 of the main body 10 when viewed in plan (as seen from above).

[0023] As shown in FIG. 1 , the outlet 5 formed in the main body 10 is formed in approximately the center of the top surface of the main body 10. The outlet 5 is not limited to a specific shape as long as it is entirely covered by the lid member 20 and allows the sheet-like material inside to be removed, but may be rectangular or elliptical, for example. Furthermore, the outlet 5 is not limited to a pre-formed outlet 5; it may be formed by perforating the main body 10 to form the outlet 5, by slitting the main body 10 with only a few connection points remaining, or by slitting the main body 10 thin enough to allow the outlet 5 to be cut off. If the main body 10 is perforated or the like, an adhesive applied to the surface of the lid member 20 facing the main body 10 will adhere the outlet 5 to the lid member 20. When using the wet wipes for the first time, the lid member 20 is peeled off from the main body 10, and the portion that will become the outlet 5 is cut off from the main body 10 along with the lid member 20, forming the outlet 5.

[0024] The lid member 20 may be a lid label 20 formed in a label shape, such as that shown in FIG. 1 . As an example, the lid label 20 is adhered to the top surface of the main body 10 at a side 21 adjacent to one side with an adhesive or the like. The lid label 20 also has a tab 22, e.g., a mountain-shaped protruding tab, at the end opposite the adhesive. No adhesive is provided on the back side of the tab 22. An adhesive portion is provided on the back side of the lid label 20 in an area facing the peripheral edge. This allows the lid label 20 to be repeatedly peeled and adhered to the top surface 15 of the main body 10. The adhesive portion allows the lid label 20 to be repeatedly attached and removed from the top surface 15. That is, the lid label 20 covers the dispensing opening 5 and is configured to be repeatedly opened and closed.

[0025] 1, the lid label 20 may have a stopper near an edge 21 close to one side of the main body 10 to prevent the lid label 20 from being completely peeled off when the user peels it off. The stopper is formed by providing a notch near the edge 21 of the lid label 20, and the shape of the stopper may be an internal hook type stopper with a notch provided inside the lid label 20, or an external hook type stopper with a notch provided from the outer edge of the lid label 20 toward the inside. The stopper notch is formed by combining linear and curved shapes, and serves to stop the lid label 20 from being peeled off from the main body 10.

[0026] In one aspect of the present invention, instead of the lid member 20 serving as the lid label described above, a lid member 20 in which a base portion and a lid portion are connected via a hinge portion may be used. As an example, such a lid member 20 is attached to face the outlet 5 provided on the top surface of the main body portion 10. That is, the lid member 20 can be attached by adhering the top surface of the base portion of the lid member 20 to the underside of the periphery of the outlet 5 of the main body portion 10. Alternatively, the bottom of the base portion may be attached to the top surface of the main body portion 10.

[0027] In one embodiment of the present invention, the main body 10 and the cover member 20 are formed from a material primarily composed of paper. If the main body 10 and the cover member 20 are made of pure paper, the weight ratio is approximately 100%. However, in the case of composite materials or synthetic paper containing layers of paper and other materials, the paper-based material desirably contains 20% or more paper by weight. Alternatively, in one aspect of the present invention, the paper-based material may contain 50% or more paper by weight. If the paper content is 50% or more by weight, it can be treated as paper under the Resource Effective Utilization Promotion Act.

[0028] In one aspect of the present invention, the material containing paper as a main component is preferably a composite material made of two or more materials, with the weight ratio of paper being the largest, or may be a composite material made of three or more materials, with the weight ratio of paper being the largest.

[0029] As an example of the present invention, the main body 10 or the lid member 20 is preferably constructed of a paper material with a waterproof film attached thereto, or a material coated with a waterproof resin layer. The underside of such a coating layer has an adhesive layer formed by applying a re-adhesive and re-peelable adhesive that can be repeatedly attached to and removed from the main body 10. The adhesive layer may not be formed in the portion facing the outlet 5, or a member shaped like the outlet 5 may be attached thereto. Alternatively, the opposite surface of the paper layer may be printed with predetermined characters, graphics, etc., and may further have a printed adhesive layer coated with adhesive for attaching a protective layer, or a protective layer for protecting the printed surface.

[0030] The coating layer is a layer made of a waterproof film or a waterproof resin layer, and an example thereof is polyethylene terephthalate (PET), but there is no particular limitation as long as it is a film or resin material having a waterproof function. The adhesive layer is made of a pressure-sensitive adhesive such as a polyester, acrylic, or rubber-based adhesive.

[0031] In one aspect of the present invention, the paper member has a basis weight of 30 g / m 2 Above, 400g / m 2Preferably, the thickness of the waterproof film is 7 μm or more and 50 μm or less, and the thickness of the waterproof resin layer is 3 μm or more and 50 μm or less.

[0032] Next, we will explain how the side portions 12, 14 of the package 1 of the present invention are formed, and how the fold margin 30 is covered with a sealing member 40 after folding. Figures 2 and 3 are partial developments showing an example of a folding method for forming a package according to one embodiment of the present invention, with Figures 2(A) and 3(A) being views from the top, and Figures 2(B) and 3(B) being views from the bottom. Note that the dashed-dotted lines in Figures 2 and 3 indicate mountain folds, and the broken lines indicate valley folds. Figure 4 also shows how the fold margins on the side surfaces of a package according to one embodiment of the present invention are formed, with Figure 4(A) showing the fold margins when formed using the folding method of Figure 2, and Figure 4(B) showing the fold margins when formed using the folding method of Figure 3.

[0033] The packaging body 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention is generally made of a material primarily composed of paper, and the side portions 12, 14 are formed by folding the paper-based material into a cylindrical shape near both ends using fold margins. The cylindrical shape can be formed, for example, by connecting (gluing) the opposing long sides of a single sheet of paper-based material together, and folds are formed so that the cylindrical opening is rectangular. This results in four sides of the packaging body 1: a front portion 11, a top portion 15, a back portion 13, and a bottom portion 16, and a cylindrical shape with rectangular openings on the left side portion 12 and the right side portion 14. Note that the access opening 5 in the top portion 15 is preferably formed at an early stage.

[0034] Next, as shown in Figures 2 and 3, the sides are formed by folding in the areas near both ends as fold margins. As shown in Figures 2 and 3, fold margin portions 30 near the ends are composed of overlap margins 31 and fold margins 32. The open edges of the ends are bonded together using overlap margins 31, and the paper is folded in at fold margins 32 to form the side portions shown in Figure 4.

[0035] The side surfaces 12 and 14 shown in Fig. 4(A) are formed by the folding method shown in Fig. 2(A) and Fig. 2(B). The folding method shown in Fig. 4(A) is seen, for example, in paper cartons for beverage containers, and forms a triangular fold 35. In Fig. 4(A), the triangular fold 35 is ultimately folded back toward the side surfaces 12 and 14, but it may also be folded back toward the opposite sides, the front surface 11 and the back surface 13, respectively.

[0036] The side surfaces 12 and 14 shown in Fig. 4(B) are formed by the folding method shown in Fig. 3(A) and Fig. 3(B). The folding method shown in Fig. 4(B) is seen in pillow-shaped packaging containers, and the side surfaces 12 and 14 are finally formed by folding back the portion that was the overlap portion 31 upward or downward from the side surfaces.

[0037] Figure 5 shows the covering manner of the sealing member 40 in the packaging body 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, where Figure 5(A) is a perspective view showing the manner in which the corners on the side surfaces are covered, and Figure 5(B) is a perspective view showing the manner in which the entire side surface is covered.

[0038] If the side surfaces 12, 14 are formed using the folding method described above, the fold marks remain on the side surfaces 12, 14, which results in an unattractive appearance and makes it impossible to display explanatory text or other information on the side surfaces 12, 14. Therefore, in the present invention, the fold margin 30 is covered with a sealing member 40. This allows the joined surfaces after folding to be hidden with a seal, improving the aesthetic appearance (appearance) and increasing the strength of the container. Furthermore, it is possible to form a printed surface for displaying information or other information on the side surfaces 12, 14 that have fold marks.

[0039] The sealing member 40 is not particularly limited, but may be, for example, a sheet-like or film-like member having an adhesive surface on one side, such as paper, synthetic paper, or a single or composite material of synthetic resins such as polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, polyamide, or polyvinyl chloride.

[0040] As an example of covering with the sealing member 40, the corners of the package 1 may be covered with the sealing member 40 as shown in Fig. 5(A). For example, when the overlap portion 31 is folded upward or downward to form the side portions 12, 14 as shown in Fig. 4(B), the sealing member 40 can be provided at the corners to cover a portion of the side portions. Note that, although Fig. 5(A) illustrates the sealing member 40 only at the right corner of the front portion 11, it is preferable to cover all four corners, i.e., the left corner of the front portion 11 and the left and right corners of the back portion 13, with the sealing member 40.

[0041] In one embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 5B , the entire side surface portions 12, 14 may be covered with the sealing member 40. For example, it is desirable to cover the entire side surface portions 12, 14 having the triangular fold marks 35 as shown in FIG. 4A with the sealing member 40. This allows for printing or other indications to be provided on the side surfaces. In this case, the sealing member may cover not only the side surface portions 12, 14 but also the front surface portion 11 and the back surface portion 13, or may cover three or more of the front surface portion 11, the back surface portion 13, the left side surface portion 12, and the right side surface portion 14. This improves the strength of the entire package 1 and also enhances its aesthetic appearance.

[0042] 6 is a perspective view showing an example of another package according to an embodiment of the present invention. Another aspect of the present invention is package 2, which includes a main body 10 for storing a stack of sheet-like materials, an outlet 5 for removing the sheet-like materials from main body 10, and a lid member 20 attached to cover outlet 5 in a manner that allows repeated opening and closing, wherein main body 10 is a pillow-shaped package made of a tubular material primarily composed of paper, both ends of which are closed, and overlap portions 31 formed at both closed ends are folded upward or downward, and the overlap portions 31 after folding are covered with a sealing member 40.

[0043] Although the description has been given so far regarding box-shaped containers, the packaging body 2 according to one embodiment of the present invention can also be applied to so-called pillow-type flexible packaging. In the pillow-type packaging body 2, a flap 31 is formed to close both ends, and after the flap 31 is folded upward or downward, it can be covered with the sealing member 40 in the same manner as in the above-mentioned embodiment. Note that, although the four corners on the side surfaces are covered in Fig. 6, the entire flap 31 may be covered in the same manner as described above.

[0044] As described above, according to the present invention, a package having excellent aesthetic appearance and improved strength as a container can be obtained.

[0045] Although one embodiment of the present invention and each example have been described in detail above, it will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that many modifications are possible without substantially departing from the novel features and effects of the present invention. Therefore, all such modifications are intended to be included within the scope of the present invention.

[0046] For example, a term described at least once in the specification or drawings together with a different term having a broader or similar meaning can be replaced with that different term anywhere in the specification or drawings. Furthermore, the configuration of the package is not limited to that described in the embodiment and examples of the present invention, and various modifications are possible.
