Description

Oil absorbent pad containing feathers

[0001] The present invention relates to an oil adsorption fabric, and more particularly, to an oil adsorption fabric having high oil adsorption efficiency.

[0002] Water pollution caused by oil spills in the ocean or rivers causes massive environmental pollution once it occurs.

[0003] Oil absorbent pads are used as a physical method to remove oil from contaminated water. These pads can be manufactured in large sizes and installed in a fence-like configuration.

[0004] Conventional oil absorbent pads are environmentally friendly and have many advantages in terms of utilizing waste resources, but there were problems such as the tangle of the hairs when handling the used hairs, the uneven absorption ability of the absorbent pad resulting from this, and the decrease in absorption ability due to the hairs clumping together during storage of the oil absorbent pad.

[0005] Therefore, the problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide an oil adsorption cloth that minimizes entanglement of feathers, prevents a decrease in oil adsorption efficiency due to entanglement of feathers, improves oil adsorption efficiency, and facilitates storage.

[0006] According to one embodiment of the present invention, an oil absorbent pad comprises: an outer frame having a mesh structure and a predetermined shape so as to have a filling space; at least one inner frame which is accommodated in all or part of the filling space of the outer frame, has two ends that are not connected to each other, and has a ring-shaped shape when viewed so that the two ends are positioned on the left and right, and has elasticity that can be contracted and restored toward the center of the ring structure; and feathers filled in the filling space and surrounded by the at least one inner frame, wherein when the inner frame is contracted, the feathers surrounded by the inner frame are compressed, and when the inner frame is restored, the compressed feathers are spread out so as to have a void again.

[0007] In one embodiment, the outer frame is provided with a cylindrical structure having a long length in one direction, a plurality of inner frames are arranged at a constant interval along the longitudinal direction of the outer frame, and a portion of the feathers filled in the filling space can be surrounded by the plurality of inner frames.

[0008] In one embodiment, each of the plurality of inner frames is provided with a spring structure that rotates helically by more than 360 degrees, and each of the inner frames can be contracted and restored toward the center of the spring structure.

[0009] In one embodiment, the plurality of inner frames may be arranged along the longitudinal direction of the outer frame by having one point fixed to an inner frame support bar inserted into the outer frame parallel to the longitudinal direction of the outer frame.

[0010] In one embodiment, the feathers may be feathers having stems.

[0011] In one embodiment, the support bar and a plurality of inner frames connected to the support bar may be arranged in two or more rows within the filling space to form a multi-layer structure.

[0012] In one embodiment, the outer frame may be provided in an embossed shape by quilting the space between the plurality of inner frames.

[0013] In one embodiment, the outer frame may be provided with a multi-layer structure in which a plurality of outer frames are connected in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction thereof.

[0014] In one embodiment, a connecting rod having a length greater than the length of the outer frame may be fixed parallel to the longitudinal direction of the outer frame on the outer side of one of the two outer frames positioned at both ends of the plurality of outer frames connected in the multi-layer structure.

[0015] In one embodiment, each of the inner frames may further include a plurality of needles arranged along the circumferential direction of the inner frame.

[0016] In one embodiment, the plurality of needles may be hook-shaped.

[0017] According to the oil adsorption cloth according to the present invention, the entanglement of feathers is minimized, thereby preventing the oil adsorption efficiency from being reduced due to the entanglement of feathers, thereby improving the oil adsorption efficiency and facilitating storage.

[0018] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the configuration of an oil adsorption pad according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0019] Figure 2 is a drawing showing a plurality of oil adsorption pads shown in Figure 1 connected together.

[0024] Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing the configuration of an oil absorbent pad according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 2 is a drawing showing a plurality of oil absorbent pads shown in Fig. 1 connected together. In Fig. 1, some of the feathers (300) are omitted.

[0025] Referring to FIG. 1, an oil absorbent pad according to one embodiment of the present invention may include an outer frame (100), an inner frame (200), and feathers (300).

[0026] The outer frame (100) accommodates the inner frame (200) and the feathers (300), and may be provided in a predetermined shape with a mesh structure and a filling space (110). For example, the outer frame (100) may be provided in a cylindrical structure with a long length in one direction. The outer frame (100) may be formed of a non-hygroscopic material. For example, it may be made of nylon.

[0027] The inner frame (200) can be accommodated in all or part of the filling space (110) of the outer frame (100). The inner frame (200) can have two ends that are not connected to each other, and can be provided with a shape that has a ring structure when viewed from the left and right sides of the two ends, and can have elasticity that can be contracted and restored toward the center of the ring structure.

[0028] In one embodiment, the inner frame (200) may be provided with a spring structure that rotates helically by more than 360 degrees. In this case, the inner frame (200) may be contracted and restored toward the center of the spring structure. For example, the inner frame (200) may be formed of elastic plastic or elastic stainless steel.

[0029] At least one inner frame (200) may be provided. In one embodiment, a plurality of inner frames (200) may be arranged at a predetermined interval along the longitudinal direction of the outer frame (100). In this case, a plurality of inner frames (200) may be arranged along the longitudinal direction of the outer frame (100) by having one point fixed to an inner frame support bar (400) inserted into the outer frame (100) parallel to the longitudinal direction of the outer frame (100).

[0030] In addition, a plurality of inner frames (200) fixed to the inner frame support bar (400) can be filled in one row within the filling space (110). Alternatively, they can be arranged in two or more rows to form a multi-layer structure.

[0031] The feathers (300) may be filled in the filling space (110) and surrounded by an inner frame (200). For example, they may be surrounded by a plurality of inner frames (200). The feathers (300) may be feathers having stems. Having a stem prevents entanglement and is economically advantageous because it is inexpensive.

[0032] Meanwhile, the outer frame (100) may be quilted at regular intervals along its length. For example, the spaces between multiple inner frames (200) may be quilted to form an embossed shape. Accordingly, entanglement of the down feathers (300) can be prevented, and the quilted portion can be cut to a required size for use.

[0033] In addition, the outer frame (100) may be connected in a number of directions perpendicular to its length to form a multi-layer structure as shown in Fig. 2. The manufacturing size of the oil absorption pad may vary depending on the number of connections of the outer frame (100).

[0034] In addition, a connecting rod (500) may be provided on one side of the outer frame (100). For example, in a plurality of outer frames (100) connected in a multi-layer structure, a connecting rod (500) may be fixed parallel to the longitudinal direction of the outer frame (100) so as to have a length greater than the length of the outer frame (100) on the outer side of one of the two outer frames (100) located at both ends.

[0035] The above connecting rod (500) enables the outer frame (100) to be wound around its circumference using the connecting rod (500) as a starting point, and thus the outer frame (100) can be easily wound by the connecting rod (500).

[0036] In one embodiment, the connecting rod (500) may include a columnar insertion projection (510) having one end that is hollow and the other end that has a diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the connecting rod (500). In this case, if there are multiple connecting rods (500), each connecting rod (500) may be connected by inserting the insertion projection (510) into the hollow portion. That is, multiple oil adsorbents having connecting rods (500) may be connected via the connecting rods (500).

[0037] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the oil adsorption pad is provided with a plurality of inner frames (200) having a spring structure inside the outer frame (100), so that when the filling space (110) of the outer frame (100) is filled with feathers (300), the plurality of inner frames (200) surround the feathers (300), so that the movement of the feathers (300) can be restricted by the plurality of inner frames (200). Accordingly, the entanglement of the feathers is minimized, and the oil adsorption efficiency can be prevented from being lowered due to the entanglement of the feathers (300), thereby improving the oil adsorption efficiency.

[0038] In addition, since the plurality of inner frames (200) are provided with a spirally rotating spring structure, when the outer frame (100) is wound along its circumference, the plurality of inner frames (200) contract in the spirally circumferential direction and compress the feathers (300), thereby reducing the volume of the oil absorption pad and facilitating storage. When the outer frame (100) is unwound and unfolded, the plurality of inner frames (200) are restored and the compressed feathers (300) can be unfolded again to have a gap.

[0039] Meanwhile, the oil adsorption pad according to one embodiment of the present invention may further include a plurality of needles (210) arranged along the circumferential direction of the inner frame (200) on the inner side of the inner frame (200).

[0040] Each of the plurality of needles (210) may have a hook shape. A portion of the hairs (300) may be caught and fixed on the plurality of needles (210). In this case, the movement of the hairs (300) is further restricted, which may further prevent entanglement of the hairs (300), thereby being advantageous in securing a gap.

[0041] In addition, the plurality of needles (210) can further prevent clumping and entanglement of the feathers (300) by pulling the feathers (300) when the outer frame (100) and the inner frame (200) are wound to compress the feathers (300) and then the inner frame (200) is restored and the outer frame (100) is spread out.

[0042] The description of the disclosed embodiments is provided to enable any person skilled in the art to make or use the present invention. Various modifications to these embodiments will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art, and the general principles defined herein may be applied to other embodiments without departing from the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the present invention is not intended to be limited to the embodiments disclosed herein, but is to be construed in the broadest scope consistent with the principles and novel features disclosed herein.
