Abstract
Description
[0001] RECEIVER CONFIGURATION IN SINGLE SHOT AND BREAK ACTION RIFLES
[0002] Technical Field
[0003] The subject matter of the invention relates to the configuration of the receiver on which the entire trigger group, barrel, buttstock and safety are mounted in a single shot and break action rifle.
[0004] Prior art
[0005] In single shot and break action rifles, which are generally used for hunting and shooting sport, the barrel is opened (broken) from the receiver by the user by separating / rotating the joint from the axis, allowing a new cartridge to be inserted into the rifle. General principle of use of a break-barrel rifle:
[0006] Barrel Opening (break): the user opens the barrel of the rifle by separating it from the receiver. This usually takes place around the joint or axis at the bottom of the barrel.
[0007] Cartridge Loading: When the barrel is opened, the user places a new cartridge into the rifle.
[0008] Barrel Closure: After the cartridge is inserted, the user closes the barrel back towards the receiver. This step activates the firing mechanism and makes the rifle ready for firing.
[0009] Trigger Pull and Firing: When the trigger is pulled, the firing mechanism is activated. This mechanism usually includes a trigger mechanism and releases the firing pin when the trigger is pulled. The firing pin fires the cartridge.
[0010] Ignition and Cartridge Explosion : The firing pin lights the cartridge and activates the igniter inside the cartridge. This starts an ignition process that causes the cartridge to explode and eject from the barrel.
[0011] The user can then open the barrel again to remove the empty cartridge and insert a new cartridge.
[0012] A rifle that is ready to fire when the barrel is closed poses a security risk. The receiver is one of the fundamental elements of a single shot and break action rifle. It is the element that bears the working parts of the rifle. Unlike the other rifles, in single shot and break action rifles, the barrel breaking and closing mechanism is also located inside the receiver.
[0013] All or at least two of the independent trigger group, cock configuration, barrel lock, safety configuration elements are first assembled together on a frame, and then the frame is placed inside the receiver. For this reason, in cases where accessing the functioning elements of the rifle is desired (e.g. maintenance, repair, etc.), the frame must first be separated from the receiver.
[0014] The Aim of the Invention
[0015] The main purpose of the invention is to increase the durability of the rifle by means of bearing all the working elements of the rifle directly on the receiver in single shot and break action rifles.
[0016] Another purpose of the invention is to provide easier access to the working parts of the rifle by means of bearing alll the working parts of the rifle directly on the receiver in single shot and break barrel rifles.
[0017] Another purpose of the invention is to enable maintenance, repair and replacement of parts in single shot and break action barrel rifles to be carried out more effortlessly and easily.
[0018] Yet another purpose of the invention is to provide ease of manufacturing and assembly by ensuring the bearing of all working elements with a one-piece receiver.

[0058] The basic component of the invention is a receiver(2) with a casing pin slot(3), a tirgger pin slot(4), a cock pin slot(5), a barrel joint slot(6), a safety slot(7)and a barrel bearing slot(8), to which the buttstoc(21) and the forend(27) are attached.
[0059] The casing pin slot(3) is formed at least on one side and preferably on both sides of the receiver(2). A casing pin(10) is inserted therein and the casing(9) can rotate about the axis of this casing pin(10). With the intervention of the user, the casing pin(10) can be removed and the casing(9) can be separated from the receiver(2). Since the casing(9) is not mounted on any other frame, sheet or plate, it can be separated directly from the receiver(2). (Figures 2-6)
[0060] The trigger pin slot(4) is created on at least one side of the receiver(2) and preferably on both sides. A trigger pin(l 2) is mounted in it and the trigger(ll) can rotate on the axis of this trigger pin(12). With the intervention of the user, the trigger pin(12) can be removed and the trigger(ll) can be separated from the receiver(2). Since the trigger(ll) is not mounted on any other frame, sheet or plate, it can be separated directly from the receiver(2). (Figure 2 - 6)
[0061] The cock pin slot(5) is created on at least one side of the receiver(2) and preferably on both sides. The cock pin(14) is mounted in it and the cock(13) can rotate on the axis of this cock pin(14). With the intervention of the user, the cock pin (14) can be removed and the cock(13) is directly disconnected from the receiver(2). Since the cock(13) is not mounted on any other frame, sheet or plate, its direct contact with the receiver can be interrupted. (Figure 2 - 6) The barrel joint slot(6) is formed in a larger diameter than the casing pin slot(3), trigger pin slot(4) and cock pin slot(5) on both sides of the receiver(2). The breaking function of the barrel(15), which is one of the distinguishing features of single shot and break action rifles, is carried out by means of the barrel joint(18), which is mounted in this barrel joint slot(6). The barrel breaks / opens and closes by rotating on the axis of this barrel joi nt( 18) . (Figure 2 - 6)
[0062] The forend(27) is attached to the barrel(15) by means of the barrel wedge(19) on the barrel(15). When the forend(27) is placed on the barrel(15), one side of the forend(27) sits on the forend seating surface(28) formed on the receiver(2), while the barrel wedge(19) remains inside the forend(27). A bolt is inserted into the side of the forend(27) that does not fit on the rece§ver(2). This bolt through the handguard(27) passes through or is mounted in the barrel wedge(19) located on the barrel(15) and in the forend(27). The part of the bolt between the barrel wedge (19) and the receiver (2) has a thicker diameter bearing surface. Therefore, when the bolt is turned, the bolt moves along the barrel and this abutment surface moves towards the barrel wedge (19) and fixes the barrel (15) by compressing it between the body (2) and the barrel wedge (19). The forend(27) also fits on the forend seating surface(28) on the receiver(2), wraps the barrel joi nt( 18) together with the barrel(15) and prevents the barrel(15) from separating from the barrel joint(18). When the user wants to separate the barrel(15) from the receiver(2), without using any additional tools, the user removes the forend(27) from the barrel(15) by turning the bolt by hand, and then breaks the barrel(15) and separates it directly from the receiver(2) since the barrel(15) is not mounted on any frame, sheet or plate. When the barrel is closed, the forend(27) does not disturb the axis of the receiver(2) and the barrel(15), as it is fully seated on the forend seating surface(28). (Figure - 8) In addition, when the barrel(15) rotates on the barrel joint(18) axis and closes, the barrel bearing fits into the barrel bearing slot(8) formed on the receiver(2). The barrel bearing slots(8) is formed to fit into the barrel(15) according to the barrel diameter (Figure - 8).
[0063] The safety slot(7) is created on at least one side of the body, preferably on both sides. The safety(16) is imbed in it. The safety group(17) consisting of the other working parts of the safety(16) (e.g. safety spring pin, safety spring, safety spring cover, etc.) is mounted in the safety group slot(20) formed at the rear of the receiver(2). The safety (7) and all other functioning safety components (safety group(17)) are therefore directly mounted in the receiver(2) without any frame, sheet metal or plate (Fig. 2 - 6).
[0064] The buttstock(21) is fixed with a buttstock attachment bolt passing through the buttstock connection bolt slot(29) located at the rear of the receiver(2). As with the other components, the buttstock(21) is fixed directly to the receiver(2) without any frame, sheet metal or plate. It can therefore be disassembled and assembled independently of the other parts (Figure 6).
[0065] The firing pin group(22), consisting of other firing pin elements such as firing pin spring, firing pin plate, etc., sits directly on the firing pin group bearing(23) created on the receiver(2) independently of the other elements.
[0066] The cock spring group(24), consisting of the cock spring, spring pin, and spring cap etc., and other cock elements, sits directly on the cock spring group bearing(25) formed on the receiver(2) independently of the other elements (Figure 6).
[0067] The barrel lock(26) fits into the barrel lock slot(30) formed on the reciever(2) independently of the other elements. If the barrel lock(26) has a cylindrical form and two different diameters / stages, the barrel lock slot(30) has two different diameters / stages and is round (Figure 6).
[0068] In this way, all the above-mentioned elements can be beared and mounted directly to the receiver (2) independently of each other.
[0069] In the alternative implementation, there is a cover on the receiver(2). By opening the cover, it is possible to access all the elements mounted on the receiver without dissassembling the elements.
