[0070] In some embodiments, the at least one configuration indicates mapping at least one transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state and at least one pathloss first offset to at least one codepoint of a downlink control information (DCI) field. In some embodiments, the at least one pathloss first offset may be TCI state level, or beam level. In some embodiments, pathloss first offset may be represented as ΔPLm. In some embodiments, the DCI field may be a “transmission configuration indication” field. In some embodiments, the DCI field may be a TCI field. In some embodiments, the DCI field may be a “transmission configuration indication” for one or a set of component carriers (CCs) . In some embodiments, the DCI field may be a “transmission configuration indication” for one or a set of bandwidth parts (BWPs) . In some embodiments, a pathloss first offset may be associated with a first type TCI state for uplink transmission. In some embodiments, a pathloss reference signal associated with the first type TCI state may be at least one of: a pathloss reference signal associated with a second type TCI state for uplink transmission (wherein the second type TCI state may not be associated with the at least one pathloss first offset or at least one pathloss offset or a first parameter) , a pathloss reference signal associated with the first type TCI state for uplink transmission, or a reference signal associated with a third type TCI state for a downlink channel and / or downlink reference signal. In some embodiments, the first type TCI state may be used for UL only channels or signals. In some embodiments, the first type TCI state may be used  for uplink channels and / or signals associated with at least one pathloss offset or associated with the first parameter. In some embodiments, the second type TCI state may be used for uplink channels and / or signals (e.g. norm UL) which has a reference DL. In some embodiments, the second type TCI state may be used for uplink channels and / or signals not associated with at least one pathloss offset or not associated with the first parameter. In some embodiments, the reference signal associated with the third type TCI state may be the reference signal configured as quasi colocation (QCL) type D in the third type TCI state.

[0071] In some embodiments, the at least one TCI state is up to a predetermined number of TCI states. For example, the at least one TCI state may be up to N TCI states, where N is an integer. In some embodiments, the at least one TCI state is up to a predetermined number of pairs of TCI states, for example, up to N pairs of TCI states. In some embodiments, a pair of TCI states may include one TCI state for DL channels / signals and one TCI sate for UL channels / signals. In some embodiments, the at least one TCI state is up to a predetermined number of sets of TCI states. In some embodiments, each set may include up to two TCI state (s) for DL and UL signals / channels, or up to two TCI state (s) for DL channels / signals and up to two TCI state (s) for UL channels / signals. In some embodiments, N may be positive integer. For example, 1<=N<=8. For another example, 1<=N<=16. For another example, N=8 or 16.

[0072] In some embodiments, an indication regarding the uplink transmission without reference to a downlink reference signal or the uplink transmission associated with pathloss offset or the uplink transmission associated with the first parameter or the uplink transmission for uplink only is based on an absence of pathloss reference signal configuration in a configuration of the first type TCI state. In some embodiments, the first (type) TCI state for UL channels / signals may not comprise configuration of a pathloss reference signal. In some embodiments, an indication regarding the uplink transmission without reference to a downlink reference signal or the uplink transmission associated with pathloss offset or the uplink transmission associated with the first parameter or the uplink transmission for uplink only may be based on an association of pathloss first offset (or pathloss offset or pathloss second offset or pathloss reference offset) to the first type TCI state for uplink transmission.

[0073] In some embodiments, the second type TCI state may correspond to a lowest codepoint among the at least one TCI codepoint comprising or mapping to a second type  TCI state or a TCI state without associating with pathloss offset or the first parameter (wherein the TCI state may be for uplink transmission) . In some embodiments, the second type TCI state may be a TCI state with lowest identity (ID) among a first plurality of activated TCI states without associating with pathloss offset or the first parameter (wherein the first plurality of activated TCI state may be for uplink transmission) . In some embodiments, the second type TCI state may be a TCI state without associating with pathloss offset or first parameter for uplink transmission corresponding to the same codepoint as the first type TCI state.

[0074] In some embodiments, the third type TCI state may correspond to a lowest codepoint among the at least one TCI codepoint comprising or mapping to a TCI state for downlink channel and / or downlink reference signal. In some embodiments, the at least one TCI codepoint may also comprise or map to TCI state for UL channels / signals, e.g. the TCI codepoints with 1 DL TCI state and 2 UL TCI states or 1 joint TCI state and 1 UL TCI state. In some embodiments, the third type TCI state may be a TCI state with lowest ID among a second plurality of activated TCI states, wherein the second plurality of activated TCI states may be for downlink channel and / or downlink reference signal. In some embodiments, the third type TCI state may be a TCI state for downlink channel and / or downlink reference signal corresponding to the same codepoint as the first type TCI state. In some embodiments, all activated first type TCI states associated with pathloss offset or first parameter for uplink transmission may be associated with a same pathloss references signal. In this way, there is no additional overhead or complexity for configuring pathloss reference signal or calculation of pathloss for UL only TRP. The associated pathloss (PL) reference signal for UL only TRP may be shared with that for UL TRP with downlink.
